Just want to remind you, calories count. Ultimately, 5 mini meals of 200 calories each. For 1000 calorie daily total.
****** is fantastic --I strongly recommend it -- it can tell you carbs and fat percentages of 1 item, 1 meal, or 1 day.

chocoperfection

I thought about the $$ too, but I know I'll be better for it.
Coffee and half a bar, Bliss!
It's a small indulgence for all that I'm giving up.
It is spendy though, for sure.

Calories and fat percentage I'm good with, thanks. Now what about carbs? I thought if I added their fat and calories in but kept my percentages up I'd be okay. Is that not true? Is there a limit or just as close to zero as possible?

I think as close to zero as possible. Judging from outside bloggers and the original protocol from Atkins.
I think the ones sticking as close to FF protocol-will have the biggest losses. And the carbs are nil. It's not stated, but implied just by the menu options that he gives.
It seems crazy that veggies shouldn't be part of any diet -- but not this one -- that's why it's only short term(their reason is lack of protein, however) --it is different. If you have no carbs for your body to turn to for energy. It will burn fat, and fat requires way more calories to burn. This whole time you're on this fast- your body is burning fat and fat reserves.

thnx!

This is the chili Homestyle Fresh / LC Homestyles Chili from netrition. Only 4g net carbs for the entire serving and I cant recall exactly where I read it but it got major kudos for tasting great.

Why are those chocoperfection bars so much?

Oh, I forgot to tell you- I've been fasting for 2 days and am down 2.4 pounds. And it is my TOM( so not doing hcg).
That's after no losses for 2 weeks on protocol P2. Which I'll be going back to when I'm done. Just doing 4 days, I think. May change mind...

Chili sounds great- cutting and pasting that one! Thnx!!
I think chocoperfection bars are so much, probably because it takes lots of research, time, and money to make --
but probably more-so, that people will pay that for a great tasting SF chocolate cuz there's so few out there.
Little competition- they've got the market cornered--

Thanks Rileyworm. I think this just does not seem to work for me. I tried the last two days FF, and lost nothing. Still the same as the day I started. Baffles me, but back to protocol I go! However, It is nice to know I can do a little fat with out "harm"!

This is how the day shaped up:
B-Havarti, Pesto 2 Egg Omelet, 1T HWC
L- 1.3 oz Tuna with 2 T Mayo, ˝ oz Brazil Nuts
D-Libby’s Pepperoni Pizza, 1 cup lettuce, 1T Caesar Dressing
Total Calories 1041, Total Grams Fat 91.75, Percentage 80%

Not too bad for winging it I think. We’ll see what the scale thinks tomorrow.

I'm down 1.1 today, actually expected more because I had gained 3.6 the day before after a dinner party. But at least it's going the right way.

Today I'm having:
B - 2 eggs scrambled with 1/4 avocado
L- 2 cream cheese muffins, 1/2 oz macadamias
D- to be determined, I'm thinking cream cheese poppers and maybe chocolate whip cream.

found an avocado that was on the verge of extinction so changed my menu.

no pecans (unless aboslutely necessary)

one avocado with 1T mayo

was going to just have one egg, one yolk, since i changed to an avocado, but forgot and added 2 yolks, so cals are a little higher.

my new ratios are:

cals - 1129
fat - 106g - 84.25%
protein - 21.4g - 7.7%
carbs (net) - 13.2g - 8.05%

Down about 1.6 after three days of fat fasting. Not bad, I am ok with that! Time to change my stats now to 131.6 and my goal for next Friday is to be down below 130!!! Back to the one twenties will be a huge step. I am kind of scared to start eating LC again after the FF because I don't want to gain! I need to start journaling again to count my carbs otherwise I am afraid I will go over and I like to stay at 20. I started my breakfast with fajita beef w/ cheese, avacado, a little salsa because I was so excited to have protein again!

L- Grilled shrimp and salad
D- OUTBACK (so excited) big steak and cesar salad with loaded broccoli!!!

Fingers crossed for next week one-twenty land

Down 1.9 for a total of 4.3 pounds after 3 days of FF. Today is my 4th day.
Yesterday's meals:
1)coffee w/ 1 t. HC
2)deviled eggs-1 whole egg plus yolk/1.5 T canola mayo
3)1 oz tuna/2 t. canola mayo
4)1/2 cup whole greek yogurt/2 t. melted coconut oil/1t. SF peanut butter - *someone raved about this-I found the top very good but was left with a lot of yogurt that I find a bit sour -- I put in some WF strawberry fruit spread(just got it). Nothing short of amazing. Like a strawberry mousse. Inhaled it.
5)So stuffed but way under calorie so made myself eat 2 strips of bacon. Too close to bedtime--with me all night in the form of heartburn. I think I'll stay with under-calorie if I'm sated next time - hahaaa!
total cal. 726 84% fat

Wow--down 3.7 today! I thought that only happened to other people. I will say my stomach was not good yesterday so I only got to 2 meal yesterday--which is probably why. My meals were:
1)sweet pancake-1 egg/1 yolk/1 T cream cheese/tiny bit of stevia Blend w/ hand blender. Fry in 1/2 T butter on both sides. Spread WF strawberry fruit spread on top.
2)deviled eggs-1whole egg/1 yolk/ 1T mayo
cal 459 fat-80% carb-2.6
I've now lost 8 lbs in 4 days! I so needed that after a very lengthy stall on P2.

i am down 2.8 from thurs morning's weight. secretly thought i'd be down more, but it's ok. another fat fast today. i have a show this evening...a "girls' night out" vendor thing i was invited to. it's an hour away....it's from 5pm-10pm....it's snowing buckets here....i'm not *quite* ready for it...but am praying for a great show! (i don't think it's snowing where the show is).

i plan on eating a bit more protein so my fat ratio won't be quite as high as yesterday. this is what i'm planning on.

coffee w/ a total of 4T HWC

8oz 93/7% ground beef topped with 2T mayo (this will help keep me full longer)

taking along 2oz of pecans to nibble on at the show.

cals: 1042
fat: 94.3g - 81.5%
protein: 39.7g - 15.47%
carbs: 7.8g - net 2.4g - 3.02%

You are doing great!! Am I to understand you are currently NOT on hcg? I am wondering if your losses are so good because you are not taking the hcg while on the FF. Since this is a bit of an experiment I thought it might be worth noting.

Actually, I had stopped cuz of TOM but yesterday, I did my 1st injection in about a week. And I did get my first whoosh experience since I started my 2nd round on Jan. 7. Not sure if it was hcg or cuz I was sick--or a bit of both. But you're right-I wasn't on HCG for the first 3 days. Not sure if that was a factor or not....

Good Morning All
Yesterday:
B: 2 eggs, 1/3 Avocado, 1T HWC
L: 2 cream cheese muffins, 1/2 oz Macadamias
D: 3oz Trip Tip, 1 cup salad, 1 T Ranch, 1 t blue cheese
S: 1 muffin, 1-1/2 cup whipped cream, SF Jello
1357 calories, 85% fat

Thought I blew it, especially with the salty Tri Tip.

Down 4.3 Making a total of 5.4 for the two days. Can hardly believe it. I hear what you're saying Libby (big congrads, by the way) this usually happens to other people, not me!

And I am on HCG pellets by the way.

WOW, Terri! That is awesome!!!! So much for my theory about not being on the pellets. Who knows why it works. It's wonderful it DOES. I am practicing JUDDD, but, I am always interested in "other stuff". Dh is almost finished with his first hcg round.

Thanks Marie, good to see you.

I was on my second round this year, just couldn't follow through or get in the groove, so I tried this instead of throwing in the towel again.

How's your DH doing on his round? Mine is gearing up to start one.

He's doing really well. He's lost about 15 pounds or so, and only has a few more days left. He's been rogue, but, not THAT rogue. Rogue for him is having cottage cheese. He has not cheated. I am almost surprised his losses have not been greater. He's 63, so a bit older. This is the FIRST time in our married life(29 years later this month) that he has ever dieted. Welcome to my world, lol. I am not sure if he will do a second round or not. Once he is done with hcg he plans to JUDDD with me. I am sure he will lose more. That's wonderful that your dh is gearing up to start a round. It's nice to be on the same page. I am thrilled that my dh is taking an interest in a more healthy/active lifestyle.

Terri--that is amazing, in your 1st 2 days. Well Done!!
This does work. I will say, our breath will not be so good. DH and DD keep me informed of it. It is kind of funny how I'm so clueless. i know it's a side effect, but I can't tell. Those closest to me let me know. Today is my last day and ate very little. feel much better than yesterday but stomach was queasy. Couldnt bear the thought of eating.
Went to sushi restaurant(so hard NOT to eat what everyone else was having-yum) and I did have some grilled shrimp w wasabi mayo.
Went off protocol, don't know how it will pan out tomorrow. Will see...
