I've only added "running" so far. I def will need to add some weights. The scale will definitely fluctuate. Like others told me, the first 2 weeks will be the worst. I did CD's the first week and kept in range most of that time. It settled in and now I don't see a gain (or much of one) when I increase the intensity. W/ weight training the gains will likely be larger (in my past experiences) but the shrinking will be bigger. I dont' think I'm shrinking much, but I don't measure either. I'm not getting larger though and feel really good, so I'll take it!! Actually, I think the running will help eventually.

Shirley-thanks!! you're really doing great w. the exercise. Does it feel "natural" to you now/yet? I miss the weight training but w/ moving, packing, mom stress and travel coming up, I don't want to start a routine I can't keep up w. right now. I will gain, stress, CD, and freak out, all for nothing as I abandon it w. the upcoming time commitments. So, I run . I can squeeze 30 min 3X a week in right now. In the neighborhood, mostly at night . But it's going well, and it's a start! I really hope when you get on the scale at the end you're lower than you've ever been. I may do the "avoid the scale" if I do a round again. I do like the daily encouargement, especially that first week. Not sure I could really do it w. o it. Hmmm.

I'm down 2lbs from my steak fajita CD!! That's good. My last egg CD netted me less . So, clean P3 today, visit mom do her taxes, deposit her check, pay her bills, pack, clean, teach my girls, pack some more, pick up some boxes, clean and clear out some more... You get the picture . Not excited about today, but here we go!! [/QUOTE]

First... steak fajita CD.... that sounds way too yummy!! Did you make that up.. or did it just happen??

Second... I am starting to really look forward to my exercise routine daily... and I have always hated exercise. I think it is because I'm seeing my body shape up rather than just looking at whether or not it is working through what the scale says. KWIM?? Hubby was feeling my muscles last night ... commenting on the areas that are obviously shrinking and toning... So I think what I'm doing is working even if it is considered not much of a routine to some people.

I do 20-30 minutes on the total gym. I work all muscles 3 days a week: arms, legs, stomach, back, etc. Today I decided to increase the intensity by raising the bench... OUCH!!! So glad I'm not weighing tomorrow!! PLUS I wanted to see if I could handle 2 aerobic miles. I have 2 of Leslie Sansone's walk aerobic tapes, Walk off the Weight and the Power Mile... I did 1 mile from each of them as they are different intensities and the PM uses hand weights. I really did not think I'd have the endurance to do 2 full miles but it was not that bad... I'd feel tired every once in a while and question whether or not I could finish, then I'd blow out really hard and my energy would come back. Eventually I want to be comfortable enough with the various things I can do on the total gym to divide up my body into a daily work out routine... but for now... 3 days a week is working really well and it is obvious that my body is smoothing out.

So this week my workout goal is to do M, W, F, total gym routine with 2 aerobic miles... Tu, Th, Sat: 2-3 aerobic miles. That would be an increase of 30% for the walking.... and an increase in the weight lifting too... not sure what my % of increase is. I imagine I'll stay at this level through the rest of my round unless I start to feel fatigued. And I may have to adjust it some on days I'm in the garden for hours. I plan to get in 2 100 foot rows of onions, and 2-3 rows about 60 feet each of early red potatoes... plus a row of salad veggies: lettuce, spinach, green onions, kale, kohlrabi, swiss chard, etc... that row will also be 100 feet. I need to get another garlic row in ASAP too. So, on days I'm shoveling, hoeing, tilling, and planting I may modify my workout to be a little less so I do not get overly fatigued.

As for the scale while on VLCD... ya... it is tough some days... BUT with the exercise routine and my crazy schedule I know there are many days that scale would not show a loss and would most likely show gains... I don't need to see that right now. I'm starting to get really excited about these last 3 weeks and my final dose.. I keep thinking in my head 145.... 145..... I'm gonna be 145............ I'd be THRILLED to be less... but I'm thinking positive and hoping for that 145.

I even eliminated my cream on P2 which I kept round two...lol...adding that little bit of milk helps, even if it's just a mental thing hehe

WTG! I'm going to be totally on protocol too! It really worked this past round (the P3/P4 part)...

I'm doing a LC day today and if I'm not back in my window tomorrow I'll do a CD. I'm pretty sure if I'm careful I'll be back down tomorrow.

Have a great Sunday all!! We're off to church.
Being in the middle of P2, it's hard to see your point. LOL!

I ate a few carby things today but only a spoonful or two. My Grandmother cooked SO much FOOD! Chicken casserole, meatloaf, creamed corn, green beans, fried okra, fried green tomatoes, black eyed peas, turnip greens, mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, cucumbers/onions in vinegar, cornbread, rolls, coconut cake, lemon pound cake & peaches n cream ice cream!!! She ALWAYS does that...over does it I mean! LOL She had bought 2 gallons of Publix tea along w/ the cakes and I brought the "diet tea" home. I tastes sweet so I liked it. I had a bite of mac, mashed tater & a few fried green tomatoes. YUM Couldn't pass those up! I didn't have any cake but did have to taste the ice cream and it was awesome!

Trying to decide when I'm going to attempt JUDDD! I would like a clean 2 weeks to start the program w/o having to try to do a MD or tweak anything. Still reading up and taking notes!
I will look into JUDDD myself. I think you DID GREAT at your grandma's! That food is sounding so scrumptious! Drooling over here!

You'll be right back down ASAP! Filet sounds delicious. I've been eating a lot of talapia because it's so easy to thaw and cook.

Hoping I can run my dilemma by you.

Here's what happened:
I'm on last round, last 10 pounds. Has taken a tremendous amount of discipline. Usually 4 days per pound lost. I exercised every day.

4 days before the scheduled end, (at 137.6) I started a new bottle of drops. Next morning, I was FAMISHED. Was it drops? Or did I hit a wall and was I at goal? I could not figure it out. Then the insanity; starving and weak. Stopped dosing, ended round 2 two days early. I doubled up on everything - and had extra fruit, (this was Saturday). Gained, I think, 1.4, but I felt normal again, I felt healthy again.

Yesterday: I was not hungry at all. So I thought I'd wait and let it all balance out - have a steak and tomatoes for dinner. But due to unscheduled change, went to restaurant. Ended up having one shot Jameson, an Amstel light, and a side salad with chicken breast with vinegar dressing only. (so, I drank on my last day of P2 - long story)

Today is first day of P3. And I'm 3 pounds up from LDW. Geeeeez.

I usually play by the rules because I don't handle changing strategies well.
On my last two P3's, I loaded up on calories and fat - and I stabilized with no problems. I wanted my body to learn a set point that was high calorie, (like 2000). I listened very very carefully to my appetite, and followed the rules. It was awesome!

But I have screwed up the last 4 days of P2 royally. And I'm starting P3 three pounds over LDW! Splendid.

Any advice on how to handle today, (and next few?). My sense is to go high fat and NOT high calorie - but then I could mess up this set point thing. I like to stay within the rules because I don't like the confusion of how to handle things when I mess up.

Sigh

Any advice is welcome.

Thank you everyone :-)
Hope it's all good now! Sending big hugs!

My DH bought me a device called Demy, which downloads all the recipes from this site to an electronic recipe book to use in your kitchen. Very cool! I sync every few weeks to update the Demy with the changes I make from the site.
So far, I'm pretty much the only person adding HCG recipes. It would be awesome if we could get more of them added. Just an idea for you...
That sounds so cool, I will look that up (both the product and the website). Thanks for sharing!

Julie- Yes do try the chicken pizza crust, It came out great! Jeanette posted about it on this thread back on post #693, page 24 & pics with details on post #814, today that's page 28. It really is very easy! Nice loss from the "fajita " day! You are a busy lady!

I'm down -.4 today. Right at -.2 from ldw. Not really sure why my body took the sudden jump, other than being sick the last few days. I know I shouldn't complain but I liked the 118-119 window. Hope I get back there soon, would like that wiggle room to add in some P4 things. This is P3D29 and I'm not sure if the added P3 time will help with adding these things in or make me more sensitive to carbs???

Have a great day ladies!
Tonya
Isn't that pizza crust the best? My hubby preferred it over the store bought stuff! I was pretty happy about that!

I'm so sorry for the loss of a young father. Wow, what a shocker! I will pray for the family right now.

Jeanette - You're doing great! How long of a round are you doing this time? When you're out of P3 or on JUDDD we'll have to hook up at Gigi's for a cupcake or something! I would love to meet you! I was in PTC this weekend shopping for StepMom's neice's bday at a store called Justice! OMG they have the cutest stuff I'm so jealous wish they had it in my size! Super cute stuff but WAY over priced! It's right by Gigi's and I was like WAAA but we had too much cake/food no way I needed a Strawberry Champagne cupcake too!

Gigi's is where I got a loading cupcake (split it with my daughter) and it was raspberry cream. It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good! I'm craving one now. Really should get that coffee to stop the cravings! Anytime you come this way, please let me know...that would be truly fun!

I want pizza, cupcakes, and everything! But the cravings are not nearly as bad as the Round 2. I get you girl! I would just love P3 foods again! At least I'm sure you had fresh asparagus! I had canned and it's really gross, but I wanted to try it! Now I have two more cans to eat and then NEVER again.

I wasn't in a bad mood w/ the rx? I AM ready to hurl though! good grief! AND i had three glasses of wine! lol...much better mood when i left! lol Stopped at cold stone for some goodness later on. I tried to think of things to load with that i truly missed...NOTHING really other than red wine and ice cream...so lots of butter and heavy cream for my coffee...but other than that? I will be glad it is over tomorrow! lol....vlc i can't wait! My ankles were cankles for the first time in a long time! and i feel GROSS! I remember this feeling from my first load...this aversion therapy is working! And Julie...if i don't put some serious tonage tommorow.....idk then!
I'm gonna go lay down and rub my totally distended belly now....bleh! ya'll have a good night!

Oh, the pellets....do they take forever to dissolve? and how long do i wait after i first put them in to eat my meal? they take literally close to an hour to dissolve!

Theresa-I think it would be seriously ironic if you barely gain any weight on your mega load days! I love irony!! Hopefully you'll remember this feeling for the next 3+weeks! Go Theresa!! And yes, the pellets do take a long time to dissolve. I try to wait until the coating is gone, then crunch them up.

Cupcakes!! Yum!!

Jeanette-you'll hit that number tomorrow!! I know it!!

Natasha-I so get the "I hpoe I can eat tommorrow" mentality!! I feel taht way everyday. I think the whole CD/ LC in between thing is my version of JUDDD!

I've had a stressful day. Mom lost all her paperwork so doing her taxes has been extremently difficult!! And I'm out of $, been paying for almost everything for her lately (up to almost $2000 now!!) and am maxxed out. I need her to call me back w. her debit card so I can finish her tax return. So now!! And dh called like a dozen times to discuss the new house and if we wanted to request any repairs from the homeowner, etc. Call, call, call, how much? Check elsewhere, etc!! So sick of the phone!! Had some chocolate and half a glass of wine. should be feeling better soon!! I'l llikely need a CD tomorrow, but it'll be worth it!! I was right at the top today, so I SHOULD be eating carefully. But, oh well!

Cupcakes!! Yum!!

Julie, i can just see the irony now....of course, the way i feel, i'm likely to hurl....then i won't gain any! lol
I'm SO sorry for the trouble you are having. Don't let the stress get you! you are stronger than it!!!!!

oh god, wine sounds good! I didn't even have a stressful day, and I want wine. hahaha! I guess I'll join you in asparagus spears, sunny.

so I'm doing fine after my two tiny donut escapade. I made some xylitol sweetened spoon fudge yesterday (DELICIOUS), but...and xylitol has *never* done this to me*...it really summoned bernice's terrible sister rhea! oh my god, that stuff has to be eaten very lightly. built in portion control or what? anyway, I was expecting to be up this morning as a result, but nope...slightly below LDW so far. WOO! so now I'm INHALING a mug cake and am almost making squeaking noises because it's SO GOOD.

jeanette, you'll be in the 60 lb club tomorrow and then some, I bet! 70 lb club before the round is over, right?

icecreamjunkie, when do you start P2 again? wednesday? good luck! make yourself load! re: pellets, they DO take a long time, but the HCG is on the outside of them (tap them into the lid, then under your tongue and do NOT handle them!), so you keep them under your tongue for 2-3 minutes, then just crunch them up. SO much better than drops, seriously.

natasha, are you doing another round, or just stabilizing then JUDDD? I've been reading their forum for awhile now, not sure if I could deal with 500 cal days every other day, but who knows! seems like a lot of people LOVE that plan, I hope it works for you if you do it!

julie, I hope the alcohol and chocolate somehow magically combines to knock weight off! fingers crossed, right? hehe! you can't argue with a well-earned glass of wine.

Theresa- My gosh girl! I'm stuffed just reading about everything your eating! Sounds sooo good!
I hate that stuffed feeling too, but you know you got to do it! Enjoy!

Natasha- Prayers out to your neighbor's family. So sad!

Shirley- You continue to amaze me with your chosen lifestyle! Good for you for making the time to take such good care of yourself!

Sunny- I have got to find some of that coffee!

Jeanette- The pizza was delicious! Hope we are all celebrating your 60# loss tomorrow!

Julie- Boy your plate is full! Your doing so well, with so much going on between your Mom, moving and your lovely family, just make sure you keep YOU at the top of the list too! Hoping you sail through the next month!

Star- glad you didn't suffer from the donut escapade! Xylitol, haven't tried it yet but thanks for the warning!

Welcome back Amy, we missed you! How are things going?

I've never heard of GiGi's, but I can tell it must be my kind of place!
Ok, all this talk of wine and chocolate! Both sound so good! Anybody recommend a good wine to start with on the end of P3? I haven't had any yet, usually like white, but hope to find one that doesn't cause big issues. Ditto on the chocolate, I just don't care for the bark/crack, but I do love the sweets!

Hope you ladies all have a nice evening!

Time to catch up! I was at 163.5 this morning which I'm okay with, I've been in window for a while now which is nice. Had some FAJITAS last night on the way home from the mountains (TONS of fresh snow!!!) - ate some chips&salsa and corn tortillas with it and was up 1. (Not bad in my book...)

I have to get an ultrasound on my liver tomorrow so no food OR DRINK tomorrow from 7am-3pm. NO WATER!?!? sucks. I drink a LOT of fluids throughout the day so this might be hard, no food will be easy.. no water/coffee/tea/etc? uh oh.

I'm on a mission to get into the 150s!! I think 161 was my official lowest so far.. I guess tomorrow might be good because I'll pretty much only have one meal in the evening so it's a pseudo CD of sorts? Not sure what the plan is for dinner yet so who knows what will happen (especially if BF decides to cook!) Hopefully I will get a lower number out of it though. I've been hitting the gym at least 4-5 days per week lately and snowboarding on the weekend so hopefully that's helping.

I'm caught up with everyone now! Sheesh! Busy bunch of hot mamas in here! Hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow.

Tonya - I'm a fan of reds but I don't really know much about different brands and such. Shelby might be a good person to ask but I think I've seen Natasha and Sunny talk about specific ones before. The kinds I've been getting lately are Apothic Red, Carmel Road somethingeranother and also I've gotten Cupcake Red Velvet a few times. Some Malbecs are good with beef. Yum beef.

Amy

Gigi's yep is a gourmet cupcake shoppe! They have a website if you dare to check it out! I am the White Wine Girl! I love Yellow Tail Riesling and have recently tried Cupcake brand Sauv Blanc b/c it had the lowest carbs per serving.

My EGG CD got me down to 185.5 which is 1.5 above LDW so I'll take it. I was 186.5/187. I always get on the scale a few times and it always changes! I'm just glad to be able to eat again!

Amy I will be thinking of you for sure!!! I so hope everything is ok!!! You did crack me up w the xylitol. It is some FUN stuff for sure! lol.....i did it when all the stuff w it started hitting the mkt years ago.....WHOA! I thought i was gonna die!

Jeanette!!!
I am so proud for you!!!!!!!!! That has got to feel amazing!!! How are you going to celebrate? New HOT outfit? Shoes?? it!!!

Tonya I knew your body would get back to its 118!!! super soon! You go!!! and i'm so glad you are better!!! I wanna see 118 again....do you know how old i was last i saw it???? SIXTH grade! lol No joke! sixth grade! and i wasn't fat....just was gonna be tall, heavy boned and muscle....worked out w/ the varsity football team in HS! Now i'm "fluffy" for sure!

And I would have had advice for you on the red...but after last night...not sure i'm a fan anymore! lol...I love Merlots though. Not to tart, slightly sweet!

What does a girl gotta do to gain weight around here?!? I went from 267.6 to 270.8! And let me just tell you...i had to call in for a sub today...i THOUGHT i was going to die last night...truthfully! I finally passed out on my bathroom floor in such tummy pain...woke up w/ my faithfull pittie princess (coco puff) by my side this morning! Mom and I were commenting that as sweet as she is, it would scare me if EMTs had to get in the house to get to me someday if i were by myself...we weren't sure she would allow them in! She is SUPER DUPER protective dog when mommy's sick or hurt! Normally she is a marshmallow....unless she is protecting mommy!

I had so much food yesterday...and i am not sure i can do it today! I didn't have this problem the first time i loaded...but man....my body DOES NOT like sugary carby stuff now! I'm gonna just have to over do it on the fatty stuff! I thought ice cream would be ok....but i think that is what sent me over the edge last night! I wanted a red velvet cup cake today...i usually go to fresh market...love them there...but i don't know if i can take it!

On the pellets, do i need to wait the 30-45 mins after popping them in my mouth to eat or drink like i did on the rx trokies? not that i'm ready to start eating to day! lol....OH, and MAN i was in such a horrible nasty mood last night! it has to be the sugar???

Ya'll have a great day!!!!! I'm about to lose power! lol...gotta charge!

You gals are a hoot!!!

Theresa... focus on fat & protein... you won't feel as yucky. I've loaded both ways and when I focus on fat & protein I gain very little and don't have carb hangover for the first few days.

Well...............hubby brought the forbidden scale into the house..... I couldn't stay off it. I'm so excited that I'm down to 154.4. That makes for -10.6 in the first 13 days which is AWESOME because I cheated 4 days in a row last week. Now I'm much more determined to be strict for my final weeks and feel confident I will land somewhere in the lower 140's for my LDW. Hubby removed the scale... so no emotional roller coasters for me. He said we might bring it out again next week sometime. He likes the 1 X a week weigh in. Though he is a statistic nut... so misses his night time & morning time on the scale so he can figure percentages...

As for hubby, he is down 10.8 in his first 7 days.... MEN!! He is thrilled and it gave him the boost he needed to continue on... he is REALLY hating this round, poor guy. We've all been there hey??? Having rounds we totally hate!! But I know he will feel amazing to be at his lowest adult weight when we see his family next month for the wedding and I'm really proud of him and thankful that he is walking this path with me.

Have a super day all you losers... and you lovely phase 3 people... enjoy some fat & protein for me today!!

My teen daughter is doing JUDDD: week 1 she lost 3 pounds. Week 2 she was not as good about her DD's and she still lost 1 pound.

I am gonna get me some xylitol then....SM doesn't seem to work too well for me...and i'm not sold on the taste!
I also really need to look at the JUDDD stuff...i would love to think i can eat unlimited LC for the rest of my life....but i don't think that is gonna work. BUT I do know after yesterday...i never want to eat like THAT again.
i am JUST NOW getting coffee in! I'm using up my peppermint mocha T pods left over from Christmas...with butter of course! Lol

But I know he will feel amazing to be at his lowest adult weight when we see his family next month for the wedding and I'm really proud of him and thankful that he is walking this path with me.

Have a super day all you losers... and you lovely phase 3 people... enjoy some fat & protein for me today!!
Those #s are AWESOME!!!!! Woohoo! Do you count your load weight when you do your final numbers? I couldn't remember...I didn't last time. I wish I would get my BFF to do this with me when i get home....it would be so much easier as I know we will be together constantly...though he has a young daughter...that might be harder...but I would love to see her get some healthy ideas of eating before she hits her teen years!

Oh, Shirley, I almost forgot...remembering your advice from earlier...i tried to do lots of fats & proteins along w/ my donuts, ice cream and gs cookies... which i think was WAY over doing it! lol....i had no business eating all that food! lol...Great therapy though...aversion therapy!!! I went to write down all that I had ate...i got sick just writing it down!

Have a good one ya'll!!

and why are my posts looking weird?

I'm confused, is everyone loading or on phase 3 on here, I'm hearing so much about all kinds of non-phase 2 foods, my head is spinning. Not critisizing, just still trying to understand. Thanks--Adeline.

I'm on 7 of VLCD I lost .2 lbs today. The first 5 days I lost 10 lbs. I stalled yesterday at 170, glad to be breaking the 170 as I'm down to 169.8. I think it's lack of sleep and day before I used CO on my skin. Stopped that real quick!

You ladies all look like skinny minnies to me :-D

ok, Natasha my post is totally messed up! I was quoting shirley...but it didn't include the full quote brackets...I was thinking that she was quoting amy originally! lol...idk! Good thing we are all like one big hcg family in here!
I'm at home today...after my night on the bathroom floor....i called in for a sub just in case! I did not think i was going to make it last night...surely thought i was going to DIE loading...today has been a 'light' load...though i did have my dad go get me a gigi's red velvet cupcake! lol my tummy was not ok with that!

Welcome Adeline!!! We are all a big mix in here of different phases! I started loading yesterday for my 2nd round...but i will still be on the p3/p4 board too! lol...i would miss them too much! Most of them are on here too! Lol

Wow!! Look at your stats!! for you!! You're an inspiration!! Like Theresa said, we're a mixed group on this thread. There are a couple strict P2 threads as well. If you're tempted by our menus that may work better. But we're happy to have you here with us!!

My teen daughter is doing JUDDD: week 1 she lost 3 pounds. Week 2 she was not as good about her DD's and she still lost 1 pound.
Natasha- it was Shirley, but somehow you're in the "quote" box too!! I am very sensitive to the SA's and all of them give me bad gas, cramping and Rhea!! They taste so good though!! All the SF desserts at the Vegas buffets had them and I was so ill after that!! !!

How old is your dd Shirley? What is the suggested age for girls doing hcg? My dd(11) is too young, but she's not following any plan well these days and really needs to lose 10lbs. I so wish she could do a quick 3 week round, drop the 10lbs and go on with her young life. It's all belly on her now and I do hope when she grows and hit puberty it'll even out. She's quite self conscious and I'm at a loss as to whether to talk to her about it too much or let it ride.

And I'm so happy for you!! WTG on the !!! Hope you finish even lower than you hoped!!

Wine? I'm not a big fan of straight wines, or what woudl qualify as LC choices. I like the sweeter wines, or the sweetened wines (Currently doing the Blackberry Merlot from Arbor Mist ). My brother is a sommolier (sp? - wine master) and has a very hard time w. my wine choices .

Theresa-be careful w/ that xylitol!! It's really hard on the body!!

Star-so borrowing your Rhea terminology!! And glad your donuts did no harm!! WTG!!

Jeanette - :goodpos t: on your 60 lb milestone!! WOO-HOO!!

Off to pack I've avoided it long enough. Got lots of boxes last night, so no more excuses . Le Sigh (also stolen from Star!!)

Lol

I always count my loading weight in my totally losses for a round.. after all... even though I gained it I DID lose it too!!

My total hcg loss to date is: 81 pounds. I did NOT load to get to the 235.. that was where I started doing the detox phase, which I know most people do not do, but I was doing detox when I learned of hcg so counted that time doing detox dieting as part of my protocol weight.

Along the way I've gained a re-lost a couple times. After round 2 I hit 155.. then bounced up to 175 after loading at the start of round 3... then back down to 146 at the end of round 3... up to 165 when I started this round... hoping to get my butt down in the lower 140's and stay there with the help of my new exercise routine AND by telling myself that I CAN change my stress/emotional eating habits so that I will NOT gain the weight back again!!

Wahoo!!! Great losses! I think most here are in phase 2 or phase 3. If you want a phase 2 only group look for the phase 2 thread with this weeks date. Some folks cannot handle phase 3 food talk nor loading chatter... the phase 2 thread is strictly for phase 2ers.
