At 144.6....CRAZY how my body went EXACTLY to my LDW weight LOL...

So after today, everything else is NEW TERRITORY!!!

Feel better today...quite honestly I really miss just hanging out on the weekend at different resaurants and having apps with hubby and wine by the water...on top of my crazy hormones...going out and having drinks/apps/dinner with hubby and my girlfriends is my stress reliever and I usually do it once a week with either of them. Sigh'...

So now I have to find another stress reliever...lol...I am still singing with hubby's band as backup and lead on some songs...I just need to read my Nook books more. I have two books waiting to be read

Tonya - It will go back down!!! You'll see!!! Sending positive vibes

Shirley - Thanks hun! I actually have GABA's but haven't used them this round, might be a good idea to do it.

Theresa - I actually have 3 ChiChi's...lol...so lots of puppy lovin!!!!!

Natasha - I know what you mean about carb comas, ugh...that was me loading. I felt ill...

Alright, here's to an awesome Sunday!!!!

happy dance!

A quick little happy dance--FINALLY to 149--it has been a long round...today is day 35...so this tells me that I should be able to transition at the end of this week as I had hoped. I just wanted to get "back" to the 140's. I want to lock this in, and hopefully get to 145 or 146 by Saturday. That will put me at a 20 pound loss this round, with lots of ups and downs. I've felt pretty good, with a few days of hunger/lethargy, but nothing too unbearable. I have an extremely busy day today as I have to go up to my school and prepare for our big art show that goes up tomorrow. LOTS to do, so I'd better get to it. So hard on a Sunday morning!

I hope everyone else is posting good losses/maintenances, as well!

Kay

Great job Kay!!!!! I am right there with ya on a long round. I always do long rounds, but this time it seems like forever since hopefully it will be my last one LOL...

How exciting on the art show!!! Being a counselor at the High school I go to every show I can to support the kids but the ones I love most are the art shows. We have several kids that their artwork was being shown at the Art museum down here. I actually used to be a potter, but I sold my kiln years ago and never got back into it.

Finally...some progress!!!

Today is R1 P2 D27...I finally hit 20 lbs. lost. I have been so up & down the last 2 weeks...I didn't think I was going to hit 20. My plan is 35 days and onto P3. For any newbies out there...just wait it out...it's a mental ride for sure...but it breaks eventually

I did tweak some things the last few days...
1) I started taking 500mg. of Magnesium daily to help keep my BM's going...I wasn't going regularly...@3-4 days

2) I started eating EVERYTHING each day...even if I didn't feel like it...most days I was eliminating 1 melba & 1 fruit

3) I swapped a hamburger patty for chicken a few times...this was so good w/ mustard

4) I started taking my drops at different times...7am, 3 pm, & 10 or 11pm right before bed...I was taking them 7,1, & 6...I think the late night dose may help the body continue burning thru the night...just a theory, tho

5) I ate a "marbly-fat" meal of carne picado...which is typically a fine chopped steak for tacos, and an onion-cilatro mix w/ lime juice on top...so yummy! I netted a 1.2 loss the next morning...then actually had loose stools later that morning...I'm assuming the extra fat made me "slime"...lol

I was going over my weights and I was trying to figure what I may have done to be in a semi-stall...but really can't pinpoint anything. I have read that if you don't load enough w/ a sufficient gain...your losses aren't as great. I loaded high fat, but not a lot of carbs. I gained .2 the next day, but lost 1 the following day...so maybe that contributed. Also, I had already been doing low-carb Atkins for 1-2 months previously and lost 12 lbs before.

Anyway, I think I am ready for P3 soon...ready for some fat...funny that I want fat stuff, and not starchy sweet stuff...when I am low-carbing...I want the bread, pasta, & sugar...lol. But, I do want my mini Cadbury Egg that I have been saving since before Easter...I will eat it after I have been on P3 for a few days

Oh yeah...thank you so much for everybody's commitment to posting on these boards...I read them every day...so much good info...couldn't do it w/o you.

Have a great day!!!!!

Hey Angela!!! Great job on the losses!!!!!!!! Great advice as well, it helps not only newbies, but seasoned veterans too! Sometimes reminders help a lot.

Enjoy P3 girl!! I personally cannot wait to have my beloved avocado and heavy cream...omg...and a steak, love me some steak!

And the cadbury, funny I have one saved too! But I'm waiting until P4...don't want ANYTHING to mess up my P3, so since this should be my last round, absolutely NO SUGAR OR STARCHES on P3...I usually maintain amazingly well, but this time I am going by the book! I even eliminated my cream on P2 which I kept round two...lol...adding that little bit of milk helps, even if it's just a mental thing hehe

Keep on chuggin'...!!!

Good for you!!! WTG!! So happy for you Kay!!

Angela-congrats to you too!!

Sunny-on to virgin weight tomorrow!! Woo-hoo!!

Theresa-enjoy your weekend. Can't wait to hear about your losses next week!! I'll bet you're an amazing teacher, btw.

Jeanette-congrats on your losses!! You make it all look so easy!! So happy for you!!

All you losers are making me long for P2 again (almost ). It really is addictive seeing the scale go down. But it'll be a long time until I consider another round. Maybe July/Aug, we'll see. For now I'm enjoying maintenance, have found my own little rythym, and although it may not be BTB, it's working for me. I'm doing a LC day today and if I'm not back in my window tomorrow I'll do a CD. I'm pretty sure if I'm careful I'll be back down tomorrow.

Have a great Sunday all!! We're off to church.

Julie that's what worked for me this P4 when I was up...low carb, then if not down, CD...worked every time...except this time I was happy being 5 pounds over LDW cuz I was eating pretty much what I wanted...I just try to stay away from white flours as much as possible and sugar unless it is worth the CD

Julie... sounds like you are finding a GREAT rhythm! Think of how freeing it will be to only need to go low carb for a day or two in order to "correct" an indulgence, WTG!!!

I UHMMMMMMM................Have a few boxes hiding in my drawer for periodic indulgences during phase 4. I wouldn't chance it in phase 3 for me... I'm sure it would cause a major UP in the scale, unless I was WAY under LDW. BUT they are my absolute favorite Easter Candy!!

FINALLY went to Target and got my coconut macaroon coffee, it is very tasty! Tastes like a coconut cookie with some almond taste...very good! So excited...can't wait till I can add my HC, I am sure it will be decadence to the extreme.

For now though, I'm a happy girl!! I also bought a small bag of the cinnamon vanilla nut one too...

I'm back home! I undressed and got on my scale and it said 188. So hopefully in the morning I will be down 2 pounds to 186, if not I'll do a CD. I would love not to have to but also hate being at the tip top end of my window! I'm about to guzzle some water! LOL

I ate a few carby things today but only a spoonful or two. My Grandmother cooked SO much FOOD! Chicken casserole, meatloaf, creamed corn, green beans, fried okra, fried green tomatoes, black eyed peas, turnip greens, mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, cucumbers/onions in vinegar, cornbread, rolls, coconut cake, lemon pound cake & peaches n cream ice cream!!! She ALWAYS does that...over does it I mean! LOL She had bought 2 gallons of Publix tea along w/ the cakes and I brought the "diet tea" home. I tastes sweet so I liked it. I had a bite of mac, mashed tater & a few fried green tomatoes. YUM Couldn't pass those up! I didn't have any cake but did have to taste the ice cream and it was awesome!

Ready for my True P3 week! Back to my tuna salad/avocado lunches, cobb salads, hamburger patties, broccoli, hot wings and thinking about making one of the casseroles this week maybe a spinach one! I tried a creamed spinach recipe and it was just too cream cheesy. DH didn't even really like it.

Jeanette - YIPPEE SKIPPY for the 60 pounds! That's AMAZEBALLS! WOOT!

Sunny - That COFFEE sounds AMAZING!

Trying to decide when I'm going to attempt JUDDD! I would like a clean 2 weeks to start the program w/o having to try to do a MD or tweak anything. Still reading up and taking notes!

Curious about JUDDD...not that i could do it...I love stuffing myself daily LOL...but it sounds like it would be great for getting to those last few pounds!

How much more are you wanting to lose? I'll tell you what...whatever I get to this round is it for me. I am doggone tired of doing P2...LOL...three rounds in a year is enough!!! I did have a reality check today though. I bought myself a bikini at Target and I actually look good, it's just this darn belly that I don't think 15 pounds is gonna get rid of. So...I will undoubtedly have to exercise, cardio and weights and planks if needed/sit ups etc. to get this tummy toned. I am so fluffy now, ew!! And I know I will gain...just hoping exercise doesn't send my body crazy. I figure I won't start until I am in P4 for awhile...adding in complex carbs etc.
Hubby and I will be doing a road trip from Florida through the panhandle, alabama and mississippi (basically the gulf coast) and end in New Orleans where you KNOW my lil happy butt will be eating!! I know I can tolerate grits on P4 (thank the Lord ) so I foresee lots of shrimp and seafood on this trip. As long as I can keep the bad carbs and sugar to a minimum I should be ok. But you know I am planning already LOL!! I MUST get a beignet at Cafe du monde!!!

Any of you who exercise, what have you found in regards to weight gain? Does your body go nuts? I stabilize so well I am nervous to mess it up but I HAVE to tone this lil body of mine!!!

Sunny - I too was curious so started reading all the threads! I'm going to try it, not sure how easy it will be but they've got me convinced! Only having to diet every other day and no restrictions on any foods at all, though some do LC but only if you want to! I want to do it to lose the last few 10-15 would get me down 1 more size to a 12 and then maintain or maybe get down to a 10! Seems pretty doable to maintain the loss w/ JUDDD. I have a bad habit of losing weight and gaining it all back over and over and over again so this seems like an excellent way of maintaining for life!

Yea one of the downsides of HCG is not really being able to exercise for fear of the scale bouncing. I am so ready to get back into my Biggest Loser dvd and get in shape for my girls beach trip in May! A few weeks should get me into decent shape w/ BL b/c there's tons of lunges and strength training!

DH and I are taking a road trip from Atl up the Eastern Seaboard I95 all the way to NYC! I'm excited but dreading the food! Eating out every meal! I plan on being as good as I can but of course will be able to endulge since on JUDDD but may take a week off to enjoy then get right back on the stick!

I like the sound of your trip! We went to Shreveport LA to visit family and then to Clearwater after DH wanted to stop in NOLA but I didn't and now could shoot myself b/c I'd never been and then Katrina but I'm sure we'll go some day!

Natasha & Sunny, my experience with exercise is limited but I'll share how it has worked for me. Round 1 I added exercise 1 week into phase 3, my weight would bump up for 3-5 days then come back down every time I increased the intensity. I SHOULD have kept it up when I entered round 2 but I was scared to so I stopped. I didn't add exercise again until phase 3 of Round 3 day 1. The scale went up... but I was not eating under control either. So for this round, I am not weighing during phase 2 and I'll take whatever weight I land on when TOM is done and I'm ready to do my last dose. I feel GREAT and am seeing LOTS of toning!! My upper arms no longer flab.. they are all tight and shapely, my belly is still flabby BUT I'm strengthening my tummy muscles to the point where I can hold my tummy in for 20-30 minutes at a time and when I do I lose a good inch or more and it smooths out. So I'm hoping that by the end of this round.. my belly flab, the little bulge under my bra line, and my inner thighs will go away and all that will be left is muscle. I'm doing walk aerobics 2 miles M, W, F, and 30 minutes of lifting with 1 aerobic mile on T, Th, Sat. I may increase this workout once I reach phase 3 IF i feel the need. If this work out can tone me up without me increasing then I'd be happy to stick with it long term.......I don't really enjoy exercise. I just knew that if I didn't I'd never see the flabby... "I was obese for 17 years and gave birth to 6 children" areas look decent. For me when I added exercise in phase 3 and had a gain, a CD did NOT work, I had to allow time for my body to adjust to the exercise then it would come back down into my zone... during round 1 at least. Round 3 well...............that was a different story... food became an uncontrollable crutch.. if I wasn't exercising I think I would've gained LOTS more!!

Hubby and I talk about traveling the states, Canada, and Europe when all the kids are grown and on their own... your trips sound like so much fun!!!

Theresa- Love the Future Ex Husband! Thank you, I am feeling better, if I could just shake the cough! The pizza sounds yummy! Glad your enjoying the mug cake & icing. I love it too!

Sunny- Glad your back to LDW!!! Come on new #'s! Your rocking it!

Kay- Your doing so well! So happy your back where you want to be! You'll lose the other few this week, and rock P3! Doesn't seem fair to have to be so busy on a Sunday!

Angela- Woo Hoo 20 Pounds!! Way to go girl!

Jeanette- Come on 60 Pounds!!! Your doing great, I hope you see it tomorrow!

Shirley- good for you for hiding & staying out of the Easter Candy! Don't think I could be that strong!

Natasha- I'm just amazed you can eat what you eat in P3 and still stabilize. I'm sure even if your up a little, it'll come right back down. If I have 1 bite it would send me up 5 lbs.! Your doing great!

Feeling much better ladies! If the nasty cough would leave NOW, I'd be great. I finally made the chicken cheese pizza crust that Janette posted about (THANK YOU), and it came out beautiful!
Not eating it until tomorrow but very happy with the way it came out!

Hope you all have a nice evening, and the scale is kind tomorrow!

Well weight is up to 145.2...but not worrying about it! Lost 6 pounds last week so it might just be adjustment or too much salt.

Bought myself a pretty lil filet mignon for tonight with asparagus

Anywho hope this week goes well for everyone! And to good losses!!!

Good morning everyone :-)

Hoping I can run my dilemma by you.

Here's what happened:
I'm on last round, last 10 pounds. Has taken a tremendous amount of discipline. Usually 4 days per pound lost. I exercised every day.

4 days before the scheduled end, (at 137.6) I started a new bottle of drops. Next morning, I was FAMISHED. Was it drops? Or did I hit a wall and was I at goal? I could not figure it out. Then the insanity; starving and weak. Stopped dosing, ended round 2 two days early. I doubled up on everything - and had extra fruit, (this was Saturday). Gained, I think, 1.4, but I felt normal again, I felt healthy again.

Yesterday: I was not hungry at all. So I thought I'd wait and let it all balance out - have a steak and tomatoes for dinner. But due to unscheduled change, went to restaurant. Ended up having one shot Jameson, an Amstel light, and a side salad with chicken breast with vinegar dressing only. (so, I drank on my last day of P2 - long story)

Today is first day of P3. And I'm 3 pounds up from LDW. Geeeeez.

I usually play by the rules because I don't handle changing strategies well.
On my last two P3's, I loaded up on calories and fat - and I stabilized with no problems. I wanted my body to learn a set point that was high calorie, (like 2000). I listened very very carefully to my appetite, and followed the rules. It was awesome!

But I have screwed up the last 4 days of P2 royally. And I'm starting P3 three pounds over LDW! Splendid.

Any advice on how to handle today, (and next few?). My sense is to go high fat and NOT high calorie - but then I could mess up this set point thing. I like to stay within the rules because I don't like the confusion of how to handle things when I mess up.

Sigh

Any advice is welcome.

Thank you everyone :-)

I'm so sorry. I know it's so hard esp when things happen. Could you do a CD today to see if you can get it down some then do regular P3?

I am so glad you are feeling better! Enjoy that pizza crust! I have to try to make it! And this summer I am SO working on a cook book for all of us! I can't keep track of the posts!

I am so leaving the advice to those on here that are better equipped to give it. I don't feel i am experienced enough...HOWEVER! I give GREAT HUGS!
Wish I could help!

Of all days that I wanted to see a big jump in the scale...I was only 1.2+ for my first semi load day! who am I kidding....cadburry eggs, pizza (so not lc friendly!) lots of fat!!! lol...if i had been trying to be clean p3 i would have gained 5+! Oh well, I started my pellets today and began the day w/ a heavy butter mocha coffee and TWO bismarks (icing filled) from dunkin'! lol...there are girl scout cookies for later, pork side as a snack, chorizo, brie, ricotta and sundried tomato mix on top of spinach for lunch...no idea what kind of unreasonably unhealthy garb i'm going to eat for dinner? lol....i already am full for the day and oddly enough, as much as i want the GS cookies to be AMAZING (AMAZE-BALLS! Sunny!) I know they just won't be that GREAT! Go figure!

I hope everyone has a GREAT day!!!

oh! does anyone know where i can print out the exact portions of the veggies we can have on p2? I have lost mine!

Cookbook....

Theresa...
If you go to Key Ingredient, you can sign up for a free account. Do a search for HCG...I have about 100 recipes that I've been copy/pasting into there. You can do friend requests, and add other people's recipes to your own cookbooks...then you can pick and choose the recipes you're interested in. If you add new recipes, for example, anyone can find them and add them to their HCG cookbook.
My DH bought me a device called Demy, which downloads all the recipes from this site to an electronic recipe book to use in your kitchen. Very cool! I sync every few weeks to update the Demy with the changes I make from the site.
So far, I'm pretty much the only person adding HCG recipes. It would be awesome if we could get more of them added. Just an idea for you...

Wow!! That's not much of a gain. You need to load better . No, seriously, you're doing great!! You'll have a fabu round and then you move!! Go girl!!

For now though, I'm a happy girl!! I also bought a small bag of the cinnamon vanilla nut one too...
This coffee of which you speak, is it only available at Target? The coconut one sounds good and since I've been adding CO to my coffee it seems like a good fit. Do tell . And you're doing great!! 6lbs!!

Any of you who exercise, what have you found in regards to weight gain? Does your body go nuts? I stabilize so well I am nervous to mess it up but I HAVE to tone this lil body of mine!!![/QUOTE]
I've only added "running" so far. I def will need to add some weights. The scale will definitely fluctuate. Like others told me, the first 2 weeks will be the worst. I did CD's the first week and kept in range most of that time. It settled in and now I don't see a gain (or much of one) when I increase the intensity. W/ weight training the gains will likely be larger (in my past experiences) but the shrinking will be bigger. I dont' think I'm shrinking much, but I don't measure either. I'm not getting larger though and feel really good, so I'll take it!! Actually, I think the running will help eventually.

I'd do your previously planned steak day today and see where that gets you. It's bad timing on the indulging, but not unfixable!! You can get back to LDW and then go from there. Hang in there! Keep your chin up and fight back down. Don't give up and blow it now. You've worked too hard!!

Jeanette-stellar losses!! You go you little thing!

Tonya-I still haven't tried that pizza crust!! and now I can't find the recipe. It's basically cheese and chicken as the crust, bake a while, then add toppings and bake again, right? I do have some chicken breast which I already cooked in the crock pot. I can chop that up. Hmmmm, may need to try that today. We'll see how ambitious I am!!

Natasha-you're right at the edge there. What's your plan today? I'm at exactly +2 today, so I'm doing a clean LC day. Hope to be back closer to LDW soon. Then the next weekend .

Shirley-thanks!! you're really doing great w. the exercise. Does it feel "natural" to you now/yet? I miss the weight training but w/ moving, packing, mom stress and travel coming up, I don't want to start a routine I can't keep up w. right now. I will gain, stress, CD, and freak out, all for nothing as I abandon it w. the upcoming time commitments. So, I run . I can squeeze 30 min 3X a week in right now. In the neighborhood, mostly at night . But it's going well, and it's a start! I really hope when you get on the scale at the end you're lower than you've ever been. I may do the "avoid the scale" if I do a round again. I do like the daily encouargement, especially that first week. Not sure I could really do it w. o it. Hmmm.

I'm down 2lbs from my steak fajita CD!! That's good. My last egg CD netted me less . So, clean P3 today, visit mom do her taxes, deposit her check, pay her bills, pack, clean, teach my girls, pack some more, pick up some boxes, clean and clear out some more... You get the picture . Not excited about today, but here we go!!

Sunny- You know it's just your body catching up!
This is where the inches start moving!

Natasha- Sorry your up, enjoy you the eggs!

RedSJ- I don't have the experience to answer this either, but my gut tells me I would do a CD today, because we know the 1st few days on P3 always makes the scale jump up some. I'd be afraid I'd get to close to the starting weight of P2. YMMV, but I sure hope you figure it out. Sorry you struggled so much the last few days!

Theresa- Totally normal, I love a man who can cook! I think a cookbook is a great idea! Enjoy your food today, guilt free eating!!!

Aerin- gonna have to look that sight up too, sounds great!

Julie- Yes do try the chicken pizza crust, It came out great! Jeanette posted about it on this thread back on post #693, page 24 & pics with details on post #814, today that's page 28. It really is very easy! Nice loss from the "fajita " day! You are a busy lady!

I'm down -.4 today. Right at -.2 from ldw. Not really sure why my body took the sudden jump, other than being sick the last few days. I know I shouldn't complain but I liked the 118-119 window. Hope I get back there soon, would like that wiggle room to add in some P4 things. This is P3D29 and I'm not sure if the added P3 time will help with adding these things in or make me more sensitive to carbs???

Have a great day ladies!

I know right? But yesterday was just a warm up....today the real load began...and i don't want anything! lol...need to figure out what amazing meal i want tonight! lol watch me not gain tomorrow! Is that normal?
I don't envy all the errands you have to do today! TAXES still need to do those! I don't make much...why do they need to take more?!?
I am so happy that you've stabilized and have found your zone as much as you have! That is AWESOME!...and motivating for me! and the running! wowzer! I NEED to/must do that this time...no mater what! I have noticed i look "flabby fat" compared to before...not happy about that! I want to be toned!

Other than being sick...did you change ANYTHING at all? It is odd after being at the 118 for so long. I hope it works its way back down for you! I need to live vicariously though your eating! I didn't touch carbs this round!

Ok, so still full from the double butter mocha and 2 DD bismarks this morning...and a half a box of GS tagalongs...i choked down a huge thing of chorizo, brie and ricotta sundried tomato dip stuff on spinach
lol...this is supposed to be fun! lol...mom just called wants to know where i want to eat dinner...I DON'T! I want a pedicure and a stomach pump! lol

I have kids that help me every day with my kindergarteners....and they don't understand that i want the last 5 mins of my lunch to myself! lol...peace and quiet! and then they argue with me that i want them to wait outside 5 mins for me to finish my personal lunch.....aaarrrggghhhh! lol
Ok, they are STARING at me through my door window. i feel like a zoo animal!
I will catch up with ya'll this evening...right after my stomach pump!

Theresa - I'm getting everyone mixed up trying not to quote posts! LOL OMG loving the cookies and anything with the word sundried in it! YUMZZZ! Poor kids, can't help it they love ya! I totally understand! I don't have much patience w/ children so my hats off to those that do!

Julie - I'm doing an EGG CD today...Then Saturday I am seriously considering moving on to JUDDD. I cannot decide if I want to wait til first of May or go ahead and do it now! I have back to back festivals I'm going to 27th/28th and of course wanted to enjoy something at each of them.

Found out one of my neighbors was shot and killed last night. He was a young guy just had a baby less than a year old and now he's gone. My DH had mentored him a bit trying to get him to turn himself in, apparently he had some sort of warrant out for something. He told him he should serve his time, get out, get a job, make a life for he and his family but he wouldn't do it. Now he's gone...So sad but it's happening more and more often now. He went to a party and some uninvited guests showed up and just shot him. I just do not understand the way of the world today...May he RIP - John Goodrum is his name.

Wow Natasha-such a sad situation. Good for your dh trying to help him. Sadly some just do not want the help or to make the changes necessary to live life. So sad . hope your egg CD goes well.

Theresa- at the "warm up" yesterday!! I call that "weekend" .
