Hey Leona!!!
![]() I just spent an HOUR at publix reading labels, talking with the meat manager (who is a type 1 diabetic) and we lamented how there are NO sausages out there with out sugar of some sort! Even the pepperoni has sugar in it! I saw someone on a way earlier post (can't remember who though ) who mentioned Mrs. Dash products...I stored all of mine while on hcg....all of the ones i had listed sugar as an ingredient! geesh! it in everything! I went to get some shredded cheese for my eggs.....had STARCH!Ok. gonna go put my food away and eat my last p2 lunch!...for a few weeks anyway! Oh, and Sunny.....I would LOVE a whole foods here |

Theresa - You can make your own ground sausage by just adding the right seasonings to ground beef/pork/turkey. I've done that lots because we don't eat pork and it's nearly impossible to find sausage without it or it's casing. Just google it and you'll find a million recipes. Also, if you have a butcher you like, you can actually have them make you sausage to your specifications.
Sunny - I can handle it! If I can handle making chocolate chip pancakes and cookies, not to mention every single meal, for my family I think I can handle your menus here! Thanks for lookin' out for me! I'm going to be joining you in just a few short days!!! |

Just had to share...Ok so when you all get to P4 and you can tolerate grains etc.
Namaste makes an awesome gluten and sugar free muffin mix. I added stevia and honey as my sweetener (I buy organic all natural honey from a bee keeper in Boca Raton) and added organic blueberries...wow!! Even my hubby ate one. So good!!!! I bought it at Whole Foods, it has tapioca flour, arrowroot, etc. The ingredients are online. Muffins make me smile |

julie, I'm an official. I was training to play in '08, but got a back injury, now I'm like "NO THANKS" to skating in a derby capacity. I have the fear. *sigh* anyway, there's a lot of personalities involved, and last night was just obnoxious. makes me start thinking again about giving it up.
sunny, god made me more of a screamandrunaway-ie. HAHAHA! as I said though...working on using my WORDS. ![]() down to LDW this morning. say WHAT!? I've been careful with the grains, but not so much with the sugar! wow. I'm doing a yoga fundraiser for autoimmune conditions today! anyone wanna pledge me?

Yes you know how I whine on P2...my Lord I turn into a whiney, depressed, emotional hot mess lol!!
![]() I HATE P2, but whatever, shut up and do it....this time I am taking out the heavy cream for the first week to see how I do. I just want to lose 10 pounds, that's it....so if I go slow that's ok, as long as I reach the 10 pound loss by day 23!!!!!!! I just get SO NERVOUS that I won't stabilize as beautifully as I am now. I will seriously go into a depression if I cannot have wheat. So, with that being said, this last round I will follow protocol religiously, but do a Fat Fast the last week before I go into P3. The fat fast in my mind, totally helped me slide into P3 successfully. I did the FF for four days, then did strict P2 for 3 days, then started P3. Like a charm! I wouldn't have been able to get to 144.6 otherwise. I was stuck at 147 for like EVER!!!!!

I also had a crapload of mac nuts, lol...maybe thats why I am now allergic to them, dangit! I seriously need to consider lasering them. I LOVE mac nuts and am so so so so sad I cannot eat them. My how we’ve grown! It is definitely more challenging keeping up with everyone, especially since I haven’t posted today! But here's my attempt:
Natasha – How was the chili with beans? I’m supposed to start P4 on Tuesday, and beans and oatmeal are on my list….YUM! You are stable like a rock girl! WOOT! WOOT! Julie – So do you start P3 tomorrow? I know you’re riding the wave! Lyn – How’s P3 going for you? Are you stabilizing? Thinking of you! Star – Roller Derby! YIKES-A-RAMA! I can’t imagine how hard that is! Wow! Wow! Wow! Marie – What did you decide to do about your friend’s 50th birthday? Hope you’re going to celebrate! Yellowhair – How’s P2 going and are you getting to plan? Thinking of you, and hoping it’s going beautifully! Shirley – I missed what Phase you’re in, and how are you doing? You’ve lost 88.8 pounds! OMWow! Sunny – Sorry about the situation about the girls, but THANKFUL that they confided in you and you were able to make a difference! WTG! Your menu sounds great! Will you please ask Chef Hubby if he has a rum sauce recipe I could try to tweak for low carb, or if you have one? Msgirl – How’s P4 going? I can’t wait, I will be there on Tuesday, although I had a tablespoon of cranberries today, and oh they were sooooooo good! Cindy T – I follow Atkins Induction levels too! How’s it going this weekend? Shelby – Did you make the pizza? I made three more crusts! I’m addicted! And it hasn’t affected my weight either! Wow! Millenia98 – WELCOME! Isn’t cream the best? I love it! I’ve been buying table cream made by Nestle for recipes because it’s so much less expensive than my heavy whipping cream. It works the same in the recipes, and may even be thicker. Theresa – so excited for you! P3 ROCKS! Shopping is fun, but just buy regular seasonings and mix them up! I cleaned out my pantry and threw out all the ingredients I couldn’t read! There are a ton of great recipe sites, so enjoy! Doing It Right, Leona, Diana – WELCOME AND Hello, don’t you just love this mixed thread? It’s great if you can handle the recipes! LOL! Well, I gained a pound so I’m at 181.0 this morning, and I think I will be up tomorrow, because I thoroughly enjoyed 4 oopsie breads. I made Cranberry Almond, and all I can say is, it’s a miracle I stopped at 4!!! I made 12, and had to put them away to make myself stop. 22 carbs worth in the whole batch, so maybe it won’t be so bad… B: black vanilla nut coffee with splenda L: taco meat, lettuce and cheese S: 4 oopsie breads D: roasted chicken and green beans Doesn’t seem like a lot, but I am FULL! Hang in there all!

Cranberry Almond OOPSIE BREAD
Double Batch Recipe (makes 12) 6 lg eggs dash salt 1/4 tsp cream of tartar 6 oz cream cheese 1/2 tsp baking powder 4 T of craisins (cut into thirds or fourths) 1 t of vanilla extract 10 packets of splenda 1/2 cup slivered almonds Separate the eggs while still cold (yolk is more stable). Let them come to room temperature. I let the cream cheese sit out during this time as well (usually about 30 minutes). OPTIONAL - For added ease of whipping your egg whites, I put the glass bowl and the beaters in the freezer during this time. I whipped the egg whites with the salt for about 1 minute, then added cream of tartar and whipped for 3-4 more minutes (soft peaks). Then I take the beaters and in the the separate bowl, I beat the egg yolks, cream cheese and remaining ingredients. It kind of looks like cottage cheese. Then I slowly folded the whites into the yolk mixture until most of the whites were incorporated. It wasn't perfectly mixed in but that's not possible without breaking down the whites. I used two muffin top pans (ordered them online) and they are perfect bun size. I sprayed them with butter spray. Or you can scoop out the mixture onto two baking sheets lined with parchment paper and put in a 300 deg oven for 35 minutes. I let them cool on the pans just in case the centers need the heat to finish cooking. |

Nope, I was raised in a non-denominational church but hubby and I started attending a Messianic congregation about 8 years ago. We love it! I explain it to people like this, we're Christians who keep the Old Testament commandments. Torah observant Christians, that' us! Totally different, and not so different all at the same time.

It's gluten free no sugar mix by a brand named Namaste.
I found it at whole foods, Publix carries it too but I do t think they have the sugar free version. It's plain so you add your own berries and sweetener. I used stevia and organic local honey because my body tolerates it. I might add chocolate chips but I'm going to make my own chips. I don't like the taste of sugar free ones so that will be an experiment I could also just chop up 86% chocolate and be ok. Also I found my body tolerates evaporated cane juice. Sugar, in small quantities and white flours and starches in small quantities too. Anyhow off to work! It's chilly here in Palm Beach County!!! 58! |

Good morning all!!! It's monday
lol...i'd have paid the school district my $200 (before taxes!) not to come in today and stay in bed!I start p3 today...a little freaked out by the sheer amount of food I have packed! I cheated a little last night...I had made a small amnt of cocoa crack! lolol i love the name. I had a few little pieces and prayed that it wouldn't throw my body into shock. It didn't! I was down .5 today....I would LOVE for my scales to STAY ON 265 for the next six weeks with about a two size shift in my body! lol...ok, so a girl can dream! So breakfast is: 2 poached eggs, 1/3 of an avocado, a small handfull of eggplant chips and 1 slice of pork side (uncured, unflavored bacon) Lunch: 1 pan roasted chicken thigh, 2 c spinach, crumbled bacon (more pork side) and a bit of more sliced avocado. So far, my breakfast is AMAZING! OH, I will NEVER fall of the low carb bandwagon again!!! The eggplant chips were baked in the oven w/ a bit of olive oil and sea salt...very yummy! Hope everyone has a great day! |

Hey Ladies! Sorry I was MIA over the weekend! I am at 192.5 this morning so up .5 outside my window but not doing a CD at this point b/c I'm starting Round 3 week from today. I went to Mexican Friday night had chicken fajitas but the margartias probably sent me over! Then DH brought in donut holes Saturday morning so I caved and ate a half a dozen! I had a 1/2 of a baked potato Saturday night w/ our steak/lamb dinner. Yesterday I was mostly LC except for 2 cookies. UGH!!! I know I SUCK!
![]() I just realized that I haven't made much stuff w/ my Carbquik or Almond flour in the past week. I may do a mug cake tonight. I def want to make that chicken pizza crust before the week is out. I had zucchini I had to use up last week. DH even liked the pizza he's like this is so good. He thought I ORDERED PIZZA OUT!?!?! He's crazy! He finally left this morning after being home for 28 DAYS! I enjoyed him but it's time he got back to work!I shopped for my LOADING foods this weekend! Have lots of good stuff in store for me Sat/Sun. Sunny - You do guac the homemade way! LOL I am lazy and use the packaged guac seasoning. I do like 1/3 pkg per avocado add some diced roma tomatoes, red onion, lemon/lime juice and a little sea salt. I like it CHUNKY style! Jeanette - The chili is good! I used rotel b/c DH really likes it b/c it's HOT so of course it tastes less like chili to me but it's good. I put 1 can of light red kidney beans in in! Can't wait to make that chicken crust pizza! Writing down the recipe right now! I see we have lots of newbies posting in this thread! Good luck to everyone and I'm getting kind of sad knowing that I'll be in P2 a week from today. P2 SUCKS big ones but I guess it's worth it! It's just so hard!B - 2 scrambled eggs w/ cheese, 2 sausage patties w/ sf syrup, sf mocha capp L - tuna salad w/ 1 hb egg & guac on side w/ few sundried tomatoes wheat thins D - chili w/ sour cream S - mug cake w/ strawberry cream cheese filling
