Sunny - that is my ultimate goal as well - 135! That gives me plenty of wiggle room

Baileysgirl - I have had 3 boxes of Samoas (my favorites) in my pantry since the 2nd week of P2!!!!!!!! But, I have been a good girl - I am not sure what I am saving them for. I heard they freeze well!

I am glad I don't work in an office type atmosphere anymore - lots of grazing goes on there! My students are NOT likely to bring me any V-day goodies as they are all adults and for that I am quite thankful

Hello!

I'm in my second cycle and started P3 today. I need advice On saturday (my last drop day) I weighed 168. I was pretty happy. That made my window easy... any time I would see 170 or above, would be a correction day. Well, on Sunday I weighed 169. I didn't cheat at all, but thought that maybe I didn't have enough water. Drank lots of water on sunday. Monday morning, I weighed 169.4. I was even more upset. I was really hoping that I'd be 167 (or less) before starting P3. Monday, I drank 180 oz of water. I skipped the melba. I had very little salt and no tomatoes for veggies. (I had a half of a cucumber for lunch and celery for dinner). This morning, one time I stepped on the scale, I actually saw 170???!! I weighed a few more times and settled on 169.4. My question... should I still use 168 as my last weight and 170 as my "window"? Should I use the 169.4?? What is going on??? As I said, today is my first day of P3, and I'm kind of afraid to eat

Thanks for any advice!!!

L: cobb salad (chicken breast, romaine, egg, feta, red onion, avocado, 3 bacon slices and bleu cheese dressing) I forgot my black olives I bought just for the salad...dang!

D: wings & crab salad

Trying to eat good portions, and like you said Sunny, NO CHEATING!

Hello!

We are almost same. May I suggest you take a detox bath (you know epsom salt, baking soda) Maybe you are retaining water and toxins and this certainly helps. I believe that if you don't drop any you could fix your LDW as 170 if not you'll be miserable during P3 without any window.

Today is my first P3 so I might be wrong, but I think is a try and error thing.

thinlisy, how much of each of those things go in the bath? I am certainly feeling toxic, I have the ketosis breath going on even.

happy P3, y'all! I'm up to about 206.5 today, after a GARBAGE sleep and wayyyy too much dairy yesterday. so what am I having for breakfast? eggs...with CHEESE. HA! take that, body.

yoga tonight. hopefully not inflammation tomorrow.

KarenOhio - Maybe you aren't eating enough???? Have you upped your protein significantly? Dr. Simeon talks about being protein deficient after ending P2 and that in itself could cause a spike in weight. Try a full fledged egg & steak omelet. I find I lose better/maintain when I up my protein. YMMV!

Thinlinsy - I too would love that recipe for detox bath - very interesting - there are days when I feel up because of water retention - especially this week with PMS!

Well I figured I better run in here and post that I am ok after having a freakin' panic attack on you all last night! I'm surprised Shelby didn't yell at me to stop scaring the kids! LOL You'd think after 6 rounds I'd be calm about this whole thing but I guess the truth is I have fear of maintenance like a first timer sometimes too.

I'm the same as yesterday, 1.6 above LIW. I didn't calculate calories, maybe it wasn't too bad, but it sure felt compressed in my tummy!

Off to work and then school, not sure what I'm going to eat, watching for the 2-day gain thing and drinking plenty of water.

Amen, happy p3 to us!!! I did my first detox bath last sunday and it felt good. I used 1 1/2 cup baking soda, 2 1/2 cup epsom salt and I added ground ginger. I did stay in the bath tube for more that 20min. but 20 min is recommended. If one has no time to do it like that or doesn't have bath tube do a foot bath. BE CAREFUL! You get pretty relax... After bath take a cold shower and sleep.

You have a total right to a panic attack! You are a tax accountant in the middle of your busiest season--plus you just finished a bear of a round! And frankly, if I had behaved myself and done a cd on P3 day 2, I probably wouldn't be in this stupid 4 pounds over LDW boat myself.... Glad to hear you STS after the nuts etc. yesterday. I myself am going to have to re-laser the stupid peanut butter because stupid me ate half of the stupid container with a stupid spoon after I stupidly bought it for the stupid purpose of lasering it. I should be entering P4 on Saturday but considering I am already planning for a cd tomorrow and I should have been doing them pretty much every day this P3, I think I'll wait to introduce starches again! Gah!

Anyone else battling the hunger demon????????????????????? I CANNOT get satisfied!!!!!!!

Today was supposed to be lowish in calories!!!

Now, I am so worried about my V-day dinner with hubby...ugh!

I have had my egg/cheese muffins, GY 2% (blueberries added and walnuts), macadamia nuts (like 2 oz) UGH! 4 deviled eggs (or more, I lost count).....too much!!!!

But, I haven't been out with dh alone is sooooooooo long.....I am just gonna go with my prime rib anyway, with salad and dressing, and maybe broccoli!

Please remind me tomorrow....my dinner was worth it! I hope not to have to do a CD

Oh, poor Sunny I am so sorry!!! That is such a miserable sickness - and on V-day no less Hugs are coming your way!

I did add my calories up and I am falling somewhere around 2250 with my Outback dinner!! YIKES....oh, well Tomorrow will be better

If it help you any my max cals is 1750 and I eat close to 2100 a day. I'm only 5 ft.

It helps I am 5'8 so it doesn't show up as quickly but I have to watch it or I get out of hand....I am so quick to gain. But so far I have done well..,

I think I will try that this weekend. The only problem I have is enough hot water. Our hot water heater really needs to be replaced! I have plenty of hot water for a shower, but not enough for a tub bath. I have a beautiful garden jacuzzi tub and I never get to use it....

Dairy sorta gets me too! I think I did very good today, except for a little bit of crab salad (imitation crab has sugar) but a friend made it for me, and I wanted to try it. It didn't taste sweet.

I find that if I eat too little protein I'm in the same boat. Got keep up my protein amount.

Marie, I totally GOT it when you were sharing. I'm so glad that you had a great day after all. Today was awesome! I was so excited to eat P3 today. It actually made me happy.

Shelby, I am so sorry that you were attacked by PB! I swear that is an almost enemy for me too that I love love love! I am curious what you mean by lasering it? I've never heard of that before. Hoping for a better day tomorrow.

that all sounds so good! I found a recipe on pinterest that I can't wait to try:

Pimento Cheese Deviled Eggs
Makes 24 servings. From Country Living.

Ingredients:
12 large eggs
2 tsp white vinegar
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3 oz (6 Tbsp) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup mayonnaise
3 Tbsp diced pimientos
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper

Directions:
In a large pot over high heat, bring eggs, vinegar, and enough cold water to cover by 1 inch to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-high to maintain a medium boil and cook eggs for 8 minutes. Drain and run eggs under cool water. Fill a bowl with cold water, add eggs, and let sit for 20 minutes to cool at room temperature.

Peel eggs and halve lengthwise. Remove yolks and transfer to a medium bowl. Set aside whites on a serving plate. With a fork, break up yolks until fluffy.

To yolks, add cheddar cheese, cream cheese, mayonnaise, diced pimientos, dry mustard, salt, and freshly ground pepper; mix. Fill egg whites. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until ready to serve.

Oh no! That is terrible Whispering a prayer for your speedy recovery!!!

I've had a great day (I think). Some of the items I did counts for may not be correct. I'm right at 2,000 calories today. No sweets, as I'm trying to wait on that. Really low on my water today so gotta get some more of that.

Oh I have same issue with my water heater. In order to prepare my bath I had to boil 3 large pots of water

Honey, I tried to buy imitation crab but the one I found, besides sugar also has potato starch...

I'm glad you were happy in your first day! I sure was/am!

You are simply Ahhh-mazing for that much work! Can't see myself doing that just for a hot bath.

Weigh in at 185.5 which is up 1.5. Last time I did that too. I think the crab salad was the culprit! Got to get my water up and trying to relax and not worry, and eat right. We will see what tomorrow brings.

Making a quick check-in - life is moving so quickly right now. I hate weeks like this one....too much packed in to too little time!!!! I wanna cry and hide in my closet but I must keep running Every night this week (including last night) there has been something scheduled for either my work or my hubby's. Makes me think of John Mayer's song about stopping this train....I don't know the song in it's entirety but, I feel like my train is running too fast

Okay - enough complaining! Gotta suck it up and move on!

After our quick V- day meal and my wonderful prime rib I dropped .6 and am now .2 from LDW!!!! My calories ended at a little over 2100. Kind of high but around 70% of that was fat...I find the more fat I eat the easier it is for me. Or, maybe I was due for a whoosh from the overage over the weekend. All I know is I was hungry and hot most of the day. Last night I even woke up and my pj shirt was drenched! Weird....

So, today 144.6 and I weighed like 8 times

I hope you all are doing well today!

Morning Ladies! I guess I'll still post here even though I'm in P4 today! P4D1 and at 191!

Jeanette - I'm so making those deviled eggs! Love pimento cheese! (homemade)

B - 2 scrambled eggs w/ cheese & 1 lg sausage patty, sweet n spicy tea
L - tuna salad or southwestern soup
D - rigatoni martino & house salad w/ creamy parm dressing & a glass of riesling! (only planning on eating a few bites of the rigatoni)

I have a sweet story...Our hot water heater went out once and I freaked out about how I would take a shower the next morning before work. I have very oily skin so I MUST have a hot shower in the morning EVERY DAY before I leave the house. So I figured I might go to my Grandmothers about 5 minutes away to shower/get ready for work. But I didn't have to DH stayed up all night boiling huge pots of water for me so I could take a hot bath that morning! I was amazed! That was just one more sign that I knew how much he loved me! He's the best!

Hey all!
So I was up all night which was so not cool, stayed home by gave to go to school at 4:30 for a parent night, but that's ok cuz I just woke up and am feeling MUCH better!
I haven't eaten at all today, not sure what I can, but I'm also not hungry. I'm scared to eat lol!
Never had food poisoning and never want to again

Jeanette congrats on P3, just relax and eat wisely! Get some hot wings!!!!

So happy for you! I love love love prime rib and haven't had it in ages! Gotta get me some! Sounds delicious! Just looked at my stats and I've had 73% fat today (olive oil, avocado, feta, black olives, etc.) soooo good! Giving my tummy a little trouble though with all the fat after not having it....

Hope you continue to feel better. The one and only time I had food poisoning I ended up in the ER! It was horrible. I hope I never EVER have that again!!!! I was laying on the floor of the ER because I couldn't hold my head up.

so I'm thinking of making this an interrupt. I don't know about this weight. I'm nearing hte top of my window. granted, I haven't been sleeping well, am worrying about my wayward niece, and am now in PMS territory, but I think I'd do better at a weight I know I've been at before, if that makes any sense.

Thanks Shelby! I've been reading the article, but I've never heard of it before.

I had cactus tonight. I was with one of my hispanic families for dinner and they Nopales and it was really very tasty! She cleaned them, cut them and boiled them with olive oil. It's pretty low calorie/carb too, which I was glad. I have to get some more in the future because it's supposed to be good for you.

Hope you all are doing well! I'm feeling good.

B: coffee with hwc
L: cobb salad (roasted chicken breast, 4 black olives, 1/2 avocado, 6 grape tomatoes, 1 T EVOO, 2 T Red Wine Vinegar, 1 boiled eggs, 1 oz. feta cheese)
D: 9 hot wings (burned my lips hot, which would have been mild to you Shelby), cactus, 1/2 avocado. 2 oz. queso fresco

Looking like 1,400 calories so far today. Not hungry, so don't plan on having anything else.

I have had the P3 tummy troubles as most of you have mentioned. It's just the big increase in fat...

I hope weigh in is good tomorrow.

Hey guys. I am a newb here, but actually been on the forums a long time, tried the atkins, which did well, but I couldn't stick with it.

So now. I started my load days, P1, on Sat and Sun...felt like I was gonna be sick, cause I am a girl who works so much that even eating more then twice a day is killing me.

Before my load days I weighed in at a whooping, 241!

I didn't weigh after my load days, with all those swiss cake roles and nutter butter bars I was not gonna stare at the damage! So I didn't even buy a scale, but I was curious today, today being day 3 of P2......today a bit of a headache, so I added in the Melba toast (something like it without the artificial sweetner) I noticed I was a bit sluggish today as well. But I kept going. Drank in a whopping 139 oz of water today. So basically a gallon of water today.

For breakfast I had coffee....then a snack of strawberries...lunch was a small steak with Asparagus. I snacked on a melba toast while shopping and then came home....I had finally bought........

...the scale......


duh duh duh.....

So I got naked and jumped on it. 221 lbs. Wow. I had lost 20 lbs in water weight I suppose, cause the scale before I had used was a doctors scale at the gym...the one I use now is a weight watchers scale. So...for dinner I had orange chicken, with cabbage rolls and a melba toast and another 20 oz of water.

I am on the homeopathic drops right now but I ordered me some pellets before they are pulled off the shelves.

I think the headache and the sluggishness is just my body detoxing. For the last 16 years I have drank nothing but diet coke. So I am not hoping it lasts long. Any advice on when your body is usually done detoxing?

Hi and welcome! My detox lasts a week, then I'm ok...
I just take Advil and take potassium and b12 vitamins. Hang in there! It is hard but this is a great support system

That is awesome! You will love the gift of weight loss practically every day!!! The headache and sluggishness is normal, especially if you are eating so little as 500 calories a day. My first three days were the hardest, but it got much better after that. It is harder on you if you cheat. My first round I did not cheat at all and I lost 20 pounds in 23 days. My second round I tried to "trick" the system, cheats here and there, and well after 40 days I lost 14 pounds. For me, the weight loss is unbelievable, so was the damage when I cheated....Welcome!!!
