Yay! WTG Natasha and Sunny!
Gonna go buy Strawberry Shortcake Coffee and look for a silpat today so I don't have to keep using parchment paper. I've been cooking a lot for my daughter who's on P3. I love making crackers, and such. Your Lighter Side has some really delicious Superbowl treats, although I think if I were in P3 I could easily overeat those foods. I would have to portion them out. Ya'll have a great day! |

I am down the one pound mysterious gain from yesterday + another .4 - YAY!!!
Hang in there, if you are stalling it shall surely break!!!!! I have tested my particular losses and it really does appear I lose better with two servings of beef a day. I dunno why. I don't remember that being a factor in any other rounds. So I have cut back my fruits to one and dropped the melba to compensate for calories since beef is higher. I still have several packages of 100g chicken breast in the freezer so I will probably use some, but I have alot of beef still so will at least do double beef several days out of the week this week. Still appear to have enough shot liquids to last so am continuing onward. I really really REALLY want to get into and beyond VFT before I stop. @Jeanette what's a silpat?

Jeanette - I just whipped softened cream cheese with HWC and Splenda, with a splash of vanilla. SO rich and SO good! And I LOVE your lighter side, especially the cauliflower pizza and breadsticks!!
Bailey - I <3 Hello Kitty! I LOVE those nails, what a cool idea! Day 2 1/2 of P3 - I had 1/2 of an IHOP omelette (yes, I know they put pancake batter in them but really, is it that much?), 2 bacon strips, and lunch is Greek Yogurt with blueberries and HWC. Stabilizing at 136. Buying a new scale because mine SUCKS so we shall see what weight the new one says. Tomorrow is a mini-load day for me so I am making sweet 'n sour chicken wings, the sauce will have some sugar but not gonna sweat it, and I'm gonna go buy me a dark chocolate/almond candy bar.

Marie, silpat is a non-stick baking sheet, and it's washable, so no more parchment paper....
Erin thanks for the recipe. That would make a great icing for the recipe below! Oh YEAH! Can't wait til P3!!!! What's a mini-load day? I made Sunny's mug cake for my daughter this morning, and she loved it! My daughter doesn't like dark chocolate (I know the horror...) So, I changed the recipe a little to regular cocoa instead of the special dark, and added 2 T of HWC to make it milk chocolate. She said it was awesome, and very rich. Milk Chocolate Mug Cake (based on recipe from Private Diva) 2 T Hershey's Cocoa 1 T of coconut flour 1 T Xylitol or your sweetener (do not recommend splenda) 1 packet of stevia (or different sweetener-I like to mix them up) 1/4 t of baking powder 1/4 t of baking soda 1/4 t of xantham gum (optional-I use this with coconut flour) sprinkle of salt Mix dry ingredients well. 1 egg 2 T Heavy Whipping Cream 1/2 t. vanilla Add remaining ingredients. Spray mug, and add cake mix. Cook in microwave for 1 minute, 10 seconds (depending on microwave). Invert onto plate, ENJOY!

Jeanette-I'm cycling right back into P2 after about 4 days on P3 (mini-interruption, I felt I needed to change it up, I was on day 28) so I'm not really going to load, just eat normal P3 but allowing a treat or two (namely, chicken wings with a sweet sauce and dark chocolate).
My new scale weighs 2 pounds heavier. GAAHHH!!! Last edited by RileyWorm; 02-04-2012 at 12:03 PM.. |

I weighed 118 in 6th grade I think LOL...
My goal is still 135...seems like I'd have to do another round to get there because I can't find anything that helps low carbers lose weight other than doing drastic measures. I'd like to think I can lose these last 10 pounds with exercise...cuz like a little kid throwing herself on the floor in a mini tantrum, I DO NOT want to do another round again! ![]() |

Guess what? I just went to Target and bought 2 bags! It wasn't bad either at 8.99 a bag...woo hoo!
I think I messed up but by accident. I bought a Sobe vitamin water (black and blueberry) and it said 0 calories. I'm just guzzling away and I realize that it has 6 carbs per serving. That's 15 carbs for the bottle I just drank! I believe that was sugar alcohol, but man I don't like label deceit! I'm going to look up online....hope there is no gain....I've had steady losses this week! |

It might be the sugar alcohols, which if true, you might be fine since you can have splenda and truvia etc. with no issues. Just guzzle some regular water just in case.
Jeanette I went today and saw they have the Archer Farms brand coffee in white chocolate strawberry, however I didn't get it because the label doesn't say what's inside and at least the DD coffee I was able to read the ingredients online. |

I'm so excited about coffee in the morning! YIPPEE SKIPPEE! I've already drank 3 additional glasses of water. I think I'm getting a sinus infection, so I'm trying to stay hydrated.....
The carbs were from the water sweetened with stevia. I should be okay as long as I don't make a habit of it. That coffee sounds delicious! I would guess that it must be 0 calories, but I could not find anything online either! How weird, because it's supposed to be such a good product. Marie, I made the zuch pizza crust for my daughter. I put it in muffin top pan to make minis. It sort of fell apart but they smell heavenly! I can't wait until I can have some! YUM! I found some chocolate chips recipe from sugar free low carb recipes that you do not have to refrigerate. It calls for cocoa butter and I'm having a hard time finding it. Any thoughts? |

A BIG SURPRISE!
Oh my goodness Shelby I'm with Star, I'm totally gonna dream cheat with that info, and you too Sunny! I'm dreaming of pancakes and wings! "wing princess" heck yeah! I dream of having 101 wings on Valentine's Day, but I will probably be full after 8 because it's been sooooooooooooo long!
I was worried about my weight this morning because 1. I didn't get to walk yesterday, 2. I drank some Sobe Zero Calorie which actually had 15 carbs (sugar alcohols), and 3. I had to take some Night Time meds to combat this sinus junk that is bothering me, but, instead I had a 2.5 pound loss! Weigh in at 183.5!!!! I hit a huge milestone today and I want to shout it from the mountain tops! I've lost 50 pounds! I got on the scale 3 times. I originally started with low carb in June at 233.5 and I lost a few pounds, but it wasn't until I started hcg that I really took off! June - October lost 15 pounds Round 1 23 days HCG I lost 20 pounds Round 2 40 days HCG I've lost 15 so far (9 more days to go) This has been a long HARD round, but I have to say I kicked boo-ta-ta this week (finally after goofing off at first). ![]() |

I was tinkering around with a sauce last night and came up with a winner in a habenero mango orange sauce. I am extremely fond of my wing of death sauce but this one was nummy!
Now I just need to be able to recreate it... I'm such a slapdash cook... |

In case you guys want to make wings (kind of a PITA but worth it if you love the spicy...)
Wings Of Death Chop up a giant batch of serrano and jalepino chili peppers (I think I did 15 jalepinos and about 30 serranos). If you want to get super daring, you can add a habenero or two. Put them in a ziplock bag. Add about 4T of salt and 2T of black pepper to the bag of peppers. The s&p will leach the juice out of the peppers. This will make enough peppers for 150 wings or so. The pepper concoction will last in the fridge for several months. Boil frozen chicken wings for about 15 mins to get them pretty done. (This can be done in advance and the wings refrozen.) Deep fat fry until crispy (usually 7-10 mins depending on your fryer). Put them in a pan with sides, squeeze some of the pepper juice on top of the cooked wings, and sprinkle with some chopped peppers. Toss to coat. If making the wings in batches, put them in a warm oven, and repeat the process with each batch of wings. Get a BIG glass of water, a pile of napkins, and dig in! Habenero Mango Orange Wing Sauce 1 12 oz bottle of mango smoothie (no sugar added) 3T chopped serrano/jalepino mixed with 1t salt and 1/2t pepper (or 3T of the above mix) 4T habenero sauce 5 droppers of Valencia Orange flavored stevia Combine in s ahker jar and let rest for flavors to blend. Adjust sweet, hot or salty as desired.

I had a strange *whoosh* this morning, and so of course given the fact that every whoosh of mine so far has had a "take-back" the next day I'm not feeling really optimistic but still a little happy with it LOL....
And now, if this loss stays, I am only .6 from VFT. I measured out my remaining hcg into syringes and I have 6 shots left. I'm doing a skip day today, so my last shot will be next Saturday. Then I will decide if I'm going to extend with pellets or not. Waiting to see if I feel protein-deficient. I have days where I wonder at this point already. |
