VLCD 14 and down .6 today for a weight of 164.4. The lowest I got last round was 165.5 so this is pretty exciting!

Does anyone else have the fear that the lower your weight goes, the harder it will be to maintain it??? Maybe it's just because I had such a horrible time stabilizing last time at 165 and ended up at 170 that I'm scared my body is going to want to go to 170 again instead of where I stop at 160.

Happy Monday everyone! Stayed the same today but OK with that because I am so happy that I STAYED ON PROTOCOL all weekend. My pants straight out of the dryer are not tight today and I can actually see the weight-loss.

I booked my son's tickets for his trip home to get married(feb 11th) and have the bridal shower this coming weekend, so keeping myself busy really helps fight the cravings.

I did however forget to take my drops this morning so I'm hoping hubby will bring them to me sometime or I guess I will just go without until 4:30. I wouldn't be worried except I can't remember if I took them last night either. I need to start setting my alarm to remind me.

I have that fear too. I would really like to be 135 but I can easily get to 145 and maintain. Every time I try to go lower my body and my mind rebel and I end up gaining weight back easily. Right now my goal is to get to 145 and maintain for a couple of months and then decide if I want to go lower.

Mine wanted to move back up to the weight I had with an interruption, so I don't think I will be doing that again... I was thinking of trying to get 5 pounds below my goal, then stabilizing somewhere in between.

I think I missed my pellets a couple times last week with all the stuff we had going on... didn't seem to affect me too much.

Week 2 weigh in this morning, -19.5 pounds! Woo hoo! Hope everyone has a great week!!!!

Oh heck yeah! I've touched my goal weight briefly about 3 or 4 times in my adult life (>30) but I always always bounce back up. I think one thing that helps with this protocol is that we truly DO learn how to maintain in between rounds which I praying will keep me on the straight and narrow.

On sort of a related note, some friends and I were chewing over this very phenomenon actually coming out of a post from C'Marie. I do think that taking interruptions mid round, cycling, and back to back rounds tend to push our bodies to do just that--go back to where it was happy at a higher weight than we'd like. Probably something to do with the hypothalamus coming out of rest. I've been curious about this but keep forgetting to ask (and feel free to tell me to mind my own business!), where was your weight when you did your interruption, Nichole?

Non Scale Victory.

Congrats to all the losers, those who made it through the weekend unscathed, and even those who STS--better than a gain, right? For those off the path a bit, hop back on and make it a great OP day!

~~~~~
Ok, so I am going to claim the weight that showed on the scale yesterday--146--because I kept it and dropped another 0.6 this morning to stay there (yesterday was 146.9, today is 146.3). I am getting really excited that I am closing in on my goal. I have 8 days of P2 left and 2 VLCD with no hcg so 10 days to get between 140 and 145. Anywhere in that range is fine, although I'd sure prefer the lower end of it! A year ago I would have never thought this was possible. I am still amazed by how effective this is.
I was on Day 21 of my first round when I did my week-long interruption and ate P3...I was 180 when started and 181 when I got home and jumped right back into P2.
You and I are pretty much in the same boat I am totally happy and content with 165 but am staying on this until the round is over next Sunday (Mon and Tues will be vlc without drops). If I get to 160...then great...but if I am 163 or so, I'm fine with that too. It's kinda nice not having the pressure for these last 5 lbs and I'm finding I'm losing faster than I did in my last round when I got down to those last 5 bls (170 trying to get to 165). I think there is definitely a mental component to this or maybe even stress affects losses and since I'm not stressing, I'm losing easier
I have to say that I am feeling BEYOND done with the P2 foods and next Wed and the bacon can't come soon enough! My boyfriend decided he was going to stay on P2 until the end of this month but I told him he is definitely on his own because I am eating bacon next Wednesday--with or without him LOL
I am just a day behind you. I loaded on Sunday and Monday of New Year's weekend. I am SOOOO with you on being donedonedone with the foods. For some reason, food commercials are really bothering me this time. Not in a "I'm hungry" way but in a "d@mn that looks good!" way. I think being able to eat fantastic P3/4 foods for 7 months was a blessing AND a curse. Because I keep thinking about all my old favorites--just sitting there in the freezer waiting for P3! The very longest I would possibly go would be 'til next Wednesday to make P3 day one Saturday so I could have the biggest, most leisurely breakfast EVER... But I seriously may not make it! Now, how to cook bacon on VLCD and NOT sample...
VLCD15 and down .5. This P2 is SO different than the last one! I'm also eating a bit differently as well, no cabbage this time. I was sick of it. So mosly lettuce, cucumbers, greens, tomatoes this go round.
Cathy - I had started taking my drops 6X a day to help with hunger. Well, being at home, sleeping late threw it all off and I forgot 1 or 2 doses of my drops 2 days in a row. Today I am back to the 3X a day to see how it works. I hope this doesn't cause an issue with the effect of the HCG.
Deb - You are truly ready for BACON girl! You've pinned so much bacon over on pinterest you've got me dreaming of it!
Congrats to all the other LOSERS and STS'ERS! Better weigh in tomorrow for the GAINERS!
Get this...yesterday was my middle son's 13th birthday so I had to cook him and his brothers a "birthday breakfast" since their dad had them the rest of the day (damn divorce SUCKS!). So anyway, I had to cook chocolate chip pancakes, bacon and sausage patties!!! That may have been the biggest test of my will EVER! He's lucky I wasn't in P3 or he would have been having almond flour chocolate chip pancakes LOL
I have been feeling the same way... kind of lustful for food, although I am not really hungry. That siren, wine, has been calling my name as well.
I am definitely going to have to do my P3 different this time around. The 3 weeks of P3 were OK, although a little rocky, but ohhhhhh momma, did I ever blow P4. This round is basically a do over, although my measurements today were only a half inch here and there on the day I called LDW last round. 2 or 3 more weeks for me, then one more short round in the spring.
I am not a fan of PIs. I did one and I think it really was a disservice to myself. If I had it to do over, I'd have waited to even start R2p2 until after my trip.
OMG! Me too - about the food porn! - Pinterest is the worst for seeing awesome looking food to make and eat. Why didn't I find that site before HCG when I ate anything and everything. I thought I was the only one doing that - I do have to admit, I have been checking out a website of a local restaurant that is known for their chicken fried steak (a Texas thing) and 3 lb. cinnamon rolls (they were on the Food Network for them)
R5D13- no loss today, but that's okay - lost 1.2 yesterday and ate out yesterday - so I'm thrilled with just not having a gain. I am finally in virgin fat territory!
KUTGW!
Does anyone else have the fear that the lower your weight goes, the harder it will be to maintain it??? Maybe it's just because I had such a horrible time stabilizing last time at 165 and ended up at 170 that I'm scared my body is going to want to go to 170 again instead of where I stop at 160.
I have the same fears, but my mother is in her fifties and lost fifty pounds over three hCG rounds, but despite being the same weight she was in high school, now post menopause, she hasn't had a hard time maintaining at all. This is after years of yoyo dieting, too. The hypothalamus healing the protocol is truly aiming for does work for most who use it, and I am hoping you are one of those, as well. Sometimes it just takes a break and another round to get our bodies stabilized at some of those leaner weights. Good luck and excellent losses today!
I booked my son's tickets for his trip home to get married(feb 11th) and have the bridal shower this coming weekend, so keeping myself busy really helps fight the cravings.
I did however forget to take my drops this morning so I'm hoping hubby will bring them to me sometime or I guess I will just go without until 4:30. I wouldn't be worried except I can't remember if I took them last night either. I need to start setting my alarm to remind me.
Whoops, try to remember those drops! Enjoy the wedding, I'm sure it is surreal and exciting to see your son married, I hope the entire trip is a blast. Will you be in P3 by the wedding, I assume?
On sort of a related note, some friends and I were chewing over this very phenomenon actually coming out of a post from C'Marie. I do think that taking interruptions mid round, cycling, and back to back rounds tend to push our bodies to do just that--go back to where it was happy at a higher weight than we'd like. Probably something to do with the hypothalamus coming out of rest. I've been curious about this but keep forgetting to ask (and feel free to tell me to mind my own business!), where was your weight when you did your interruption, Nichole?
Non Scale Victory.
Congrats to all the losers, those who made it through the weekend unscathed, and even those who STS--better than a gain, right? For those off the path a bit, hop back on and make it a great OP day!
Ok, so I am going to claim the weight that showed on the scale yesterday--146--because I kept it and dropped another 0.6 this morning to stay there (yesterday was 146.9, today is 146.3). I am getting really excited that I am closing in on my goal. I have 8 days of P2 left and 2 VLCD with no hcg so 10 days to get between 140 and 145. Anywhere in that range is fine, although I'd sure prefer the lower end of it! A year ago I would have never thought this was possible. I am still amazed by how effective this is.
Those little drops are so exciting, I can't imagine how awesome it is to be so close to goal. I hope the next week and a half nets you solid losses before you and your bacon meet again in joyous reunion
Cathy - I had started taking my drops 6X a day to help with hunger. Well, being at home, sleeping late threw it all off and I forgot 1 or 2 doses of my drops 2 days in a row. Today I am back to the 3X a day to see how it works. I hope this doesn't cause an issue with the effect of the HCG.
Deb - You are truly ready for BACON girl! You've pinned so much bacon over on pinterest you've got me dreaming of it!
Congrats to all the other LOSERS and STS'ERS! Better weigh in tomorrow for the GAINERS!
Goodbye, little half pound! May we never see you again! . Let us know how changing up your dose schedule works for you, I'm curious to see the effect.
I am definitely going to have to do my P3 different this time around. The 3 weeks of P3 were OK, although a little rocky, but ohhhhhh momma, did I ever blow P4. This round is basically a do over, although my measurements today were only a half inch here and there on the day I called LDW last round. 2 or 3 more weeks for me, then one more short round in the spring.
I am having the exact same issues with food lust and an increasing desire for P3 foods. Since I'm 27 injections into this round and will quit at either 40 injections OR when I get to 177, I'm hoping the latter comes soon and I can satisfy my P3 cravings. I think it is the nature of the protocol, our bodies really are *ready* for more fat and protein and to create new set points, we can't persist in such an extreme state of loss for too long of a duration and Simeons definitely discovered this in his clinic.
I hope your next short round goes very well, I assume it is a get-to-goal-and-reshape-round?
As for me, I am SO excited to have had a bit of a whoosh, for the first time in two weeks. I dropped 1.8 pounds from 185.6 to 183.8, so now I can submit for new insurance rates that are 35% lower than my current payment, as well as generally feel awesome for the day
I'm also heading to the salvation army tomorrow to get some new interim clothes, mine are all getting too loose. Yay!
DUUUUDE! Ugh! I do NOT know how you did it! It's the smell that gets me. Even in P3/4, I have a really hard time resisting bacon straight out of the oven. But then again, I don't really HAVE to resist it then...
I WISH I was a strong woman! See above comment... My problem is that when I start eating it I can't stop. Before I know it, I've eaten a whole pound. I wish there was a bacon correction day...
Stick to your plan, sweetie. You can do this! That water weight is brutal.
