Start Date: Every day
It's 0444 here in CT and I am still awake, in spite of all the drugs I take (and even take more than I am supposed to.) So, I'm just checking in and subscribing to our new thread. I want to encourage anyone who posted anything big toward the end of our last thread to go ahead and repost it over here. I hate when good stuff falls by the wayside.

I didn't comment on what you said, Melanie. If you repost your last couple posts (and please repost the one with the pics in it,) I'll comment on what you said. I do remember you said you sleep in your car at work and take a day off every now and then to get sleep.

My scale day (which I thought was going to be so great) is going to suck. I haven't been all that hungry but what else is there to do all night when you can't sleep? I've chewed plenty of sugarless gum and eaten more cheese and even warmed up some of the pork roast (doing Atkins, not hcg.)

I have some chicken wings marinating in some salsa and some seasoned oil that I had been holding on to. It should be interesting to see how they taste "today." One time I marinated some in salsa, picante sauce and also with fresh lime juice and typical seasonings and they were TO DIE FOR. I am hoping for something similar but without the lime, I don't know if they'll be as fall-off-the-bone.

Welp, that'll teach me to drink so much coffee, even if it's 1/2 caf!

Morning ladies!

I missed a lot in the last thread. My weekends are so busy and I can barely get online.

Anyway, still holding steady at the same weight, but I am going to take measurements so I can see some progress. TOM is on it's way out, but I am still exercising pretty hard.

Oh well, this is a set point weight and my body doesn't want to let go.

Have a great day all!

You're doing great, Stacey!

I just wanted to let y'all know that I'm going to be sleeping much of the day away, if I get my wish. I've turned off my phone and all alarms and hopefully no one will ring the doorbell. I even moved the Parakeets into a farther room so their happy chatter won't seem so loud.

I hope everyone has a lovely day today. I didn't get to weigh-in due to no sleep and eating on-plan foods throughout the night. I think it was the first time I ever ate salad at 0530!

I'll check in again later on. Be good!

Hi! I missed much of the last portion of the last thread too. The weekend got busy. Our dryer totally bit the dust so we had to purchase one. Also, a lot of talking with my little brother. I think he is going to be moving in with us for a bit... I hope that goes alright.

The scale has been rather discouraging. Several days ago I had a nice big 2.5 pound whooosh, which I was SO excited about. The loss stuck for a couple days, with no more loss. I was alright with that because I know sometimes my body just needs time to catch up. Well, instead of losing more today... I gained 2 pounds! ARGH!

I've been wondering more and more about trying something a little different. Maybe try the fat fast I hear some of you talking about? What sorts of foods do you eat on that? How many calories?

Cheryl- hope you get some good rest!

Cheryl and Stacey- hope you have good success with low-carbin' this week

Mini- I meant to ask last week, and maybe it's already been answered. But, what classes will you be teaching? What are you getting your degrees in? Congrats on picking up the extra class!

Hello all. Broke even this morning - big fat 0 on the scale. I'm fine with it - I just had a 7 lb week and in no way is that a bad thing. If I can lose another 5 lbs before tuesday I'll seriously be back where I was after 5 weeks of HCG in only 3 weeks of HCG. If that means going two or three days at the same weight, I don't mind. It's what my body seems to do - take a few days every now and then after a good loss to just sort of recomp.

I've got pebbly fat underneath my skin on my belly (is that what they refer to as english peas? I've never had english peas before, this really does feel like cobbles under my skin) and I think that often presages a whoosh. How this is possible after 7 straight days of losses I don't know. We'll see in the next few days after my body finishes its little rest.

Morning all!

Ok just for Cheryl, here are my before and my latest after pictures.

Before at 287(ish) pounds. The after is at about 141 maybe 140 pounds. Not that one pound makes a huge difference, lol!

Its actually been fun going through all the old photobucket pictures and see the progression. I started low carbing with the carb addicts plan on August 3, 2003. I had a probably 3 year break in there for pregnancies and breastfeeding and just not wanting to deal with it. I gained like 80 back and restarted again. Again with carb addicts until November of 2010 when I went to adkins then in January 2011 with my first round of hhcg. I've done one true round of hhcg and 3 measley attempts at rounds. I think I needed the hhcg though to work on the built up stomach fat. It has made the biggest difference (well that and running) in my stomach and arms!

Oh and I think on the last thread I made mention on how women are so brutal. My bff has more than once publicly humiliated me by asking my weight and pant size. When you're backed in the corner, what do you do?

So new week, new goals. First off, I'm not going to allow any purging and I'm going to eat. I'm going to start weight training soon and I need to learn to eat if I'm going to have any stamina. For weightloss, I'm at 140 this morning. I'd like to hit 137 by Friday. We are going to Chicago for the weekend and I'd like to get back down before then. It may or may not be realistic. The last goal is to get back into a running routine of 3-4 miles 5 days a week. I ran both Saturday and Sunday. I will run tonight, take tomorrow off then run Wednesday and Thursday. I also need some major yoga stretching so I'd like to get back into the routine of 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes at night. We shall see! I know big goals for the week! I'm not as worried about the weightloss portion as I am about the fitness goals! If I'm meant to lose, I will!

VLCD 14 and down .6 today for a weight of 164.4. The lowest I got last round was 165.5 so this is pretty exciting!

Does anyone else have the fear that the lower your weight goes, the harder it will be to maintain it??? Maybe it's just because I had such a horrible time stabilizing last time at 165 and ended up at 170 that I'm scared my body is going to want to go to 170 again instead of where I stop at 160.

Melanie- You really DO look amazing and beautiful!! Girls can be so mean, even those who are supposed to be our "friends" I just think some people don't know how to deal with a healthy person. My sister is like this with me. She has always been over weight and will often make comments about how I eat or if she knows I am at the gym she will publicly make comments like on my facebook about how I don't need the gym. It is frustrating.

Woo-hoo for a new low Nicole!!! How long of a round are you doing?

Errihu- 7lbs in a week is freaking amazing! I am hoping for 3 or 4 this last week, doing a short round. I don't think that is going to happen unless I cut out the extra protein and fruit but I also need them to workout so I will be okay even if this round is pretty much a bust. I am a few ounces lower than my LDW but about 2.5 lbs up from the lowest I got in P4 last round.

I took pics this morning and it is crazy crazy. I will post later but I am currently 5 lbs lighter than when I was when I finished a round of Chalean Extreme last year but I looked SO much smaller and overall better. You will see from the pictures just how much fat a 99lb person can have on them.

Oh god, bacon. I want. I WANT!

I'll be taking a 1 week break to re-fat and then going back to a 3 week protocol again for February. Depending how I feel at the end of February, I may do another 1 week fat break and another 3 week protocol, or I might transition into actual P3. I hope to lose 50 lbs by the end of the first quarter - that was my mini resolution at New Years, so if I can manage 25 lbs both rounds I'll be there. I don't think that'll happen, however. I think I'll end up doing the March round and getting to 200. That would make my freaking quarter all right!

melanie, your before & after pics are amazing! you look incredible!

down to 213 this morning, yay! I hope this downward trend continues. this will be a 4 (at least) week round for me, I think. or so I say now, hah! 10 lbs down if I include the g.d. loading weight (which I count because hey, I gained it, and I lost it, and then I lost the loading weight, HA HA HA). once again, my 500 calorie days didn't net the losses I expected, but I had to test it. keeping it between 600-800 for the rest of the round, I think.

cheryl, have you tried supplementing with 5HTP?

Melanie - WOW! Amazing! You have a lot to be proud of!

Nicole - I worry that the lower I get the harder it will be to maintain. My problem with gaining some back was I dabbled with JUDDD and that DID NOT work for me. I suck at counting calories and up days were BINGE CITY. I maintain best when eating lowcarb, period.

And hello to everyone else! Is everyone on these threads doing rogue HCG, I think I saw that some of you are doing low-carb/Atkins? Just wondering.

Up a pound, thanks to the chocolate milk but no biggie. It was worth it, lol!

Cheryl- coconut oil/salicylates

Hiya Cheryl

I have read your posts when you comment that coconut oil doesnt work for you.
I was just reading this on the other forum

"........I forgot to post something about coconut oil. Coconut is very high in salicylates. If someone is sensitive to salicylates, it could trigger whatever troubles that person gets."

Maybe that could be part of the issue for you?
I am not sure if the deodorized versions of coconut oil have salicylates-
have you used deodorized, or only extra virgin?

hi everybody! I'm back in the 185's again....185.8! Heck, I'll take it and be happy. Down .3 from yesterday. I've learned how small losses add up quickly. Keep that in mind. So often I read ONLY .2 or JUST .4....hey! It adds up people! That is weight you no longer have on your body. I equate my losses to a package of hot dogs. lol
Now for some personals.....

Morning, my chatty friends!

My scale hates me. I am up again today, still bouncing around that stall range. I woke up with those deep water-retention lines in my legs (from clothes, sheets, etc.) and almost didn't bother getting on the scale... but I did. Ack. No love from that.

It's fat fast for me today -- and if I can swing it, I will transition into a couple days of coconut milk only fasting.

Some of this is inflammation from some kind of allergic or stress reaction I'm having -- I've been getting hives. This happens to me once in a while -- could well be stress. Anyhow, I had to take benadryl the past two days, and I suspect that is implicated in the water retention.

I am not going to stress it -- just do the fat fast and get on it from there.

I am seriously considering breaking into one of my new bottles of hhcg, too -- the supply I am using has been open for quite a long time, and even though it is in a drawer, it may well have lost potency.

What do I really have to lose by doing that? Not much, really. Netrition is still selling it, so I can get some more... and I think I will -- but maybe this will get the ball rolling.

Sorry I don't have time for a lot of personals at the moment, but I will be back on later to check in.

Venti, I am interested to see your pictures, too -- and I hear you about all the fat a tiny body can still pack -- I am right there with you!

Melanie -- good resolutions! I think eating will do you good, and you'll likely still see losses.

Nicole! Great job on the losses!

Trisha -- I teach upper division, undergraduate psychology classes at a State University.
I got my M.S. in clinical psychology in 2003, and have been teaching since 2006, except when I am laid off due to the budget.

This semester I am teaching a double section of Theories of Personality, and a single section of Abnormal Psychology. I have taught both of these classes before, and I love both of them.

My current course of study is in art -- I am getting my Master of Fine Art (MFA) in painting (though I mostly sculpt and sew these days!) and an M.A. in the History and Theory of Contemporary Art.

I went back to school when I was so short on teaching hours, figuring it was as good a time as any to follow an old dream. I hope it'll boost my teaching resume on the other end -- the MFA is a doctoral equivalent degree, so that makes a difference.

yeah, it feels better to eat the higher calories, and I have SOOO much more energy, and don't freeze my butt off.

february 3 will be my last dosing day of this round. I'm excited. edit: unless I run out of pellets before then, I have two brand new bottles, but will likely try to maintain until april, and I don't want them to lose potency before a later round.

Awww shucks guys... thanks for all the compliments. Its funny. My sister did surgery to help her lose weight last year and has lost 120 pounds. I took 8 years and yet I still get more compliments. I honestly think that time has helped so much in my process. She looks droopy and tired. I think I look refreshed. I keep my before picture with me at all times. Whenever I want to go hog wild crazy I look at it.

Tammy, my blood pressure plummets at 500 calories also. It's always really low though!

Nola, wtg on the lost!

Mini- I honestly love fatfasts. I did a month of that off and on last year between the week before Thanksgiving until Christmas. Of course I havn't met a fat that I didn't love!

Cheryl, don't sleep the day away or you'll be up again tonight!

Thanks again everyone for the compliments!

Ok, time to go pick my daughter from preschool. I had a friend come over and fix my son's computer. It was nice playing catch up! Of course I didn't get dinner made or the laundry folded like I was supposed to though!

Wanted to stop in and say hello to you all

I'm VERY excited because I just signed on with a fitness coach. I worked with him years back and got in the best shape of my life and looked amazing- to the point where I was considering competing. Im finally making enough money where I can afford it :dancing: there is about a 4 month weight list so my plan is 2 solid weeks of hHCG, then 2 weeks of maintanance to prepare my body for what's to come. I'm SO excited

Whooohooo Disney!!!! That's great news!

Ladies, I am doing a coconut milk fast for the next two days -- I want to budge this darn scale!!! Number notwithstanding, though, my body is still changing, and fast. My thigh gooshies are threatening to take over the universe right now... and I am losing inches.

I am wearing a pair of stretchy cotton exercise pants that were essentially leggings this summer, and now they fit like very loose slacks... so that's pretty amazing

I wish I wasn't hung up on the darn number, but I am.

So, coconut milk only (that ends up being about 300 fat calories a day, give or take a little -- I put it in tea and coffee) -- and that's it until at least Thursday -- maybe Friday, if I am feeling good.

I am also considering staying off the scale during that time, but we'll see -- I may or may not weigh.

I am, however, going to break into a new bottle of hhcg....since calories were high-ish today, I am not dosing, but I will starting tomorrow morning, with a brand new bottle.

This is it, ladies... I am going to do what it takes to make goal, and then I am going to become the queen of maintenance. I'm tired of waiting, and I think this will likely break the stall. I suspect it is on the verge of breaking anyhow, but I am going to help it along.

Just for clarity, I did do a fat-fast-proportions meal this morning, but I am pretty sure I exceeded the 1000 calories for the day (I was actually very, very hungry!) -- so no more calories today -- and then new hhcg, and coconut milk, starting tomorrow.

I feel very hopeful that this will break the stall and get things moving again.
