Success Stories with Lasering foods?

Hi all--I discovered I have a dairy sensitivity during my last P3 and had to basically cut it all out of my diet. I can have small amounts of cheese without it seeming to bother me and also raw milk from our local Amish farmer but what I can't seem to handle is my beloved Greek yogurt

I have read about lasering certain foods to get rid of sensitivities and was wondering if anyone here could share their experiences and explain how I would do it with yogurt since I can't "hold" it in front of my stomach in my hand LOL

I told my 3 boys about it and they looked at me like I was crazy (but still want me to try it so they can see if it works

Hi Nichole. I had the same issue with the Greek yogurt after round 1. Horrible side effects every time I ate it. (I won't go into detail but you probably know what I mean! ) Anyway, I put a small amount of yogurt into a shot glass, held the shot glass a couple inches in front of my belly button, and shone (shined) the laser through that. I actually did it twice, a couple of days apart to see if it would "take," and it really has. I ate yogurt every day in my second two P3's with no issues. I had the same issue with almonds, HWC and half 'n half and those have also been minimized with the laser treatment. (I ended up having to do almonds twice.) I have also heard (although I haven't tried it yet) that an even more effective way is to moisten a cotton ball with some saliva and put it in your belly button before the process.

Yes, I know EXACTLY what side effects you're talking about...that's why I couldn't ignore it anymore in P3 LOL

I am definitely going to do this and I'll even throw a spitball of cotton in my belly button for good measure!

Anyone reading this would think we were completely wackadoodle! Ah, the things we try! Oh well, doesn't take long and is completely free--why not? AND it works!

star - you get a regular laser pointer (a pen or one of those things you use for cats), hold the offending substance (anything to which you might have a food sensitivity) 2 inches in front of your belly button, and shine the laser "through" the substance into your belly button for 2 minutes. Wash your hands and do not touch or eat the substance for 24-48 hours. Decreases food sensitivities.

This never worked for me, unfortunately. I have the opposite effect with dairy (constipation), and I never saw any difference after lasering it and re-lasering it.

I tried it with almonds and it seemed to work! Can't explain how - wonder who figured it out.

So did you just hold the almonds in front of your belly button with your hands or did you have them in a shot glass?

I put the almonds in a shot glass - but you could hold one too, I'd imagine. I forgot, I also lasered Splenda - had some problems with it on one round and then never did again.

Now if I could only laser potatoes and dinner rolls - I'd be set for life. Better add chocolate to that as well.

From what I have read about lasering, it has to be in a glass. Not your hands. You have to wash hands afterwards too. When I did it, my boys decided they wanted to laser each other They could not believe the things I have done to lose weight

I tried it with milk & cream, almonds and cheese. All of these caused me to stall if not gain in the past. Now they don't seem to bother me at least as much, if at all.

You really made me think Tricia. I laughed at first, but why not potatoes?

Shelby, is there supposed to be compounds it works better on then others?

Of course if you do want a good laugh, you should see me trying to do it and keep my kitty away from me at the same time. She convinced the laser belongs to her.

My cat's way too lazy to go after the laser - either that or he thinks it's below his dignity

You can laser those!! No harm in trying. I was desperate once I lasered my coffee, with everything I put in it. But then again I never had trouble with it to start with. But better safe than sorry is my motto. Thank God I can have my coffee.

I've never heard of anything that you CAN'T laser and I personally am planning to try lasering wheat flour in the next couple of days--probably twice since I have so much trouble with it. Alcohol too. I don't think there are things that it works on better than others and in fact, I believe they sell "kits" with "essence of x" in little bottles so you canlaser everything under the sun. Last year there was a lady on here, onemoretry, I think, who did that and had great luck. She's the one who told me about the cotton ball with the saliva.

Dawn, I have never heard that it has to be in a glass container. I think the reason for the shot glass was that you can't hold yogurt or HWC easily in your hand. Washing hands afterwards was to just get any residue off, I think.

C'Marie, my cats are the same way. It entertains them but they don't chase it. And after a while they look at ME like I'm crazy...

I lasered almonds during the summer and didn't have a problem with them again - I never ate more than a few a day - but always gained on them at first - I will admit - after writing that about the potatoes and chocolate - I did it - my husband had made some mashed potatoes and I lasered those and a Snickers - I figured I wasn't going to eat them being on P3 - so it wasn't hard to laser them and then throw them out - okay, that tiny little Snickers in the trash was a bit sad, but I did it! Who knows - maybe when I do encounter those food again in P4 - I won't have a problem with them at all.

I bought a cheap laser pointer off of Ebay for about $3 including shipping - so I figure - why not try it - if it doesn't work, I'm not out much - and if it does - all the better.

Just so crazy but hell if it works I get to eat so much that I had to cut out told my mom about it thinking she'd admit me but she said hey go for it what's the worst outcome, you still can't eat it you're used to that already! Good point

I also think about HCG sounding pretty crazy when I first heard about it and what if I just shrugged that off.

Well, I think I have re-developed my sensitivities to almonds and GY so I just lasered them as well as xylitol, erythritol, peanut butter and white wine (for the hell of it! ). I did the cotton ball/spit thing too. I am going to wait 48 hours and do them again then maybe try one or two next weekend. I'll let y'all know how it goes.

Just getting back on the HCG wagon. BAD couple of stress filled months and not great care of myself, but 2011 is in the rear view mirror and the future looks GOOD!!

I restarted and I am on day 9 of P2 and doing great so I figured I would just jump back in and post.
