From HHCG Drops to Injections: Advice Please

I am on day 30 of VLCD using homeopathic drops. I haven't lost as much weight as I had hoped to so I ordered the injections for the next round.

The instructions for my drops say that you may continue VLCD for up to 60 days. Even Dr Simeon said that you could do VLCD a total of 49 days if you are obese.

I would like to just continue VLCD but switch over to the injections without having to do P3 & P4 until 60 days total.

I wanted to check with you all first to see what you think about that strategy.

P & I says with injections (that's all he used) you could do 40 days, not 49.
People do the homeopathic for up to the 60 days, and more. I would not recommend tagging on a long Rx round on top of a longish homeopathic round. Make sure your injection round is at least 23 days, though. I personally would feel more comfortable going from shots to hhcg, not the other way around, if I was tweaking the ending time.

At the very least, I would do a protein-up P3-style eating fat/meat only for at least awhile before starting injections. There's lots and lots of good reasons to do a full P3/P4 and not just jump back in. LOTS of good reasons. Shelby and I and others have written alot about it.

Okay, it's been 41 days of VLCD with hhcg. My injectable hcg arrived today. I talked with hcg guru Colin Watson and he advised me to just start over with two loading days when I start the injections.

So I'm going from 41 days of averaging 380 calories to "eating like a bear preparing for winter." I started loading about noon today and by 4:30 pm I got myself so sick that I haven't been able to eat anymore for the rest of the first day. My stomach is in so much pain right now. My body isn't used to eating like this. I bought all of the things that I missed having while on VLCD 'cuz I knew it would be a long time before I could have them again.

Well I hope I remember how sick I got from overeating when I'm dieting again. I didn't even enjoy the foods after all. God, I have to go through another day of this! I was hoping to watch a movie with a bowl of popcorn tonight, but another morsel of food and I might explode. I just feel like going in the bathroom and forcing myself to vomit but that would defeat the whole purpose.

Do you guys feel like this on loading days or is it just me?

Yes, loading after being "clean" is hard. I wish you well.

Hey Felina,
Yep, we started another Load yesterday (me for R3 and dh for R2). I am just sick from eating and have today to go!! Yuk!! I obviously have reset my system to NOT eat like I used to eat!! Thank goodness.
Good luck to you on this round. We are having a bit of a problem. We started loading with the last of the "real" hcg sublinqual drops we had from the last round. Will run out of them and the company we order from tells me they are back ordered and 10 days behind on filling orders. We have a bottle of Intermountain hhcg and will be using those!!! Haven't used them before so here's hoping we have the same success I see others having on Intermountain!!
Good luck to you Felina.
Betty

Well I gained 10 lbs from two days of loading. That's insane especially since I couldn't eat that much since loading made me sick and I had diarrhea the first day. I totally should've lost weight, but I gained 10!!!

Anyway, the good news is that I lost it but it took eight days. So going straight from VLCD to loading again was actually a big setback. I am losing though, so I'm not complaining, I'm just letting you guys know how its going.

I'm so happy cuz so many things are better since I'm getting the weight off. I'm still pretty huge (5'3" & 191 lbs) but even so everything is so much easier. Im 60 lbs down since last July. I haven't been able to go for a liesurely walk in years. My feet felt like they were on fire. Now, I feel like I can walk forever. It's like a miracle. My feet don't hurt at all. Also, I can just get in & out of bed. It used to be so difficult.

There are other things that are so much better now too. I wonder if we should get a thread going where we just make a list of everything we are looking forward to, that will be better when we lose the weight. I guess there are probably about 100 things on my list, and it's probably down to about 75 already.

Hi Felina,

I was reading some of your posts about switching from hhcg to Rx hcg. Now that some time has passed do u feel it was a good move and made a significant difference in how u feel and the speed of your weightless? I've been on hhcg for a while and while it did help me initially I'm now finding myself hungry a lot. Now I did have a couple cheat meals more than a week ago that could have messed me up I think I should have been feeling better by now. Any advice?

Felina 03-29-2012 01:16 AM

Well, here's how it went. As I said in the post I gained 10 lbs from loading so that set me back quite a bit. So my 26 day round with the real hcg shots only netted me 2 lbs. I lost the ten I gained from loading and only two more lbs after that.

All in all, if I had it to do over again, I wouldn't have done it. I could've stayed on the hhcg and lost the 2 lbs in 5 days at the most. Instead I was on VLCD with hcg Rx 23 more days just to get the same result.

To be fair I can't blame it on the Rx hcg and I'll tell you why in a minute. I believe that even though the hhcg doesn't have actual hcg, it has the imprint of it and does for you what the real hcg does. So many on this bulletin board have had lasting success with hhcg, myself included. That being said, this is what I think happened to me:

I went straight from hhcg VLCD to Rx hcg. I did this because I was told by someone that since hhcg isn't real, I should just take the real injections and start loading as if I had never even done hcg before. Well, its obvious to me that the hhcg does really work the way it should and that's why I gained like crazy even though I didn't eat that much. You see, you need to stop the hcg 3 days so that all of the hcg is out of your system before you start adding more foods . Since I went straight to loading again, my bloodstream was still saturated with fat that the hhcg had released for me to utilize. On top of that I added carby, fattening food that my body wasn't used to and it was a recipe for disaster.

I would advise anyone that decides to go from hhcg to hcg Rx to let the hhcg get out of your system first.

Other than that I like the injections because they are much easier than the drops. They don't hurt at all and it's just once in the morning and you just forget about it the rest of the day. With the oral drops I had to take them with me everywhere because I took them 6 times a day. You can take a larger dose less often but they said that more frequent smaller doses were preferable so that's what I did.

Hunger has never been an issue with me. I'm just never hungry and don't eat much anyway. I was worried that because I don't have much of an appetite anyway, I had no way of knowing if the hhcg drops were actually working. But now, I think they work just as well as the Rx injections IMHO.
