My CD is a multi protein day consisting of:
Greek yogurt for breakfast Lunch tuna salad with only mayo and 1 cup of romaine dinner a 10 oz ribeye steak No fruit, and only veggie was a little bit with my lunch. Also drank loads of water, by the next day I dropped 2 pounds and was back to LDW for the rest of P3 and P4 |

I did an egg/tilapia/chicken day once
I tried an egg day once, but beyond scrambled in the a.m., and deviled for lunch, I was DONE, so had steak for dinner. This always works for me...usually a 2 lb loss, maybe a smidge more! |

I think we ALL know MY favorite...chicken thighs all the way baby! I've lost as little as 2 pounds and as much as 6 pounds but I average around 3 with the chicken thighs. I usually eat 6-7--1 for breakfast, 2 for lunch, 1 mid-afternoon, 2 for dinner.

I haven't actually needed any CDs...but...I did the GY one once just because it sounded like such a great idea

I'm a huge fan of the GYCD. I don't even do the fruit half the time. I eat 8oz 4X t/o the day and love it. I feel great, not hungry and reasonably satisfied. Usually lose about 3lbs from that.
I didn't do as well w. the egg day. No real loss, and very sick of eggs. Did a steak day, 2 steaks overall, tomatoes too, and it got me about 2lb loss. Reasonably satisfying too, although hungrier than the GYCD. You're doing great!! |

One CD that consistently gives me a loss of over 3 pounds is an Apple & Cheese Day. I've read different variations of it online (some with as many as 6 apples in one day), but I modified mine to be 2 ounces of sharp cheddar cheese and 1 medium sized apple for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (for a total of three apples and 6 ounces of cheese for the day). I drink tons of water and at least 2 mugs of green tea, and I lose over 3 pounds. Once I lost 4+ pounds.
One little tip to change-it up with the cheese on this day: I sometimes take the cheese, chunk it up on to a microwave-safe plate and cook for 1.5 minutes on high, sprinkling with herbs like thyme or rosemary mid-cooking. It makes the most delicious cheese chips to eat with the apples! I'm in maintenance now, and I love to indulge every couple of weeks or so, and this CD has saved my tail many times. I've also done the GY-day several times with success (2-3 pounds), but do not seem to have the great results with the traditional steak day for some reason. I may not be of much help but my modified EGG CD may sound good to you!
I tried the GY just on a regular day and it has a weird taste to me so I knew I wouldn't like it for a CD. The Steak CD seemed unrealistic to me b/c of not eating all day. I would die! I only had to do 1 EGG CD. It wasn't bad. I did 3 scrambled eggs & 1 sausage patty for breakfast, 6 hb eggs made into egg salad w/ mayo & dill pickles/relish for lunch and then a 3 egg omelete for dinner with a tiny sprinkling of sharp cheddar. I know the cheese/sausage isn't a part of it but it worked. I lost 2 pounds. That put me back in my window.

Thank you all SOOO much!! I am trying a GYCD today and we will see how it goes. I didn't have much success with them months ago, but wanted to give it another try. If I don't have success on this one. I will try the Chicken thighs. I don't think I could do the steak day, since not eating all day would probably be too much for me.
If anyone has some suggestions, please keep them coming!!! |

I have tried steak or chicken thigh days numerous times (like 6 or 7) while in P3 last time and although they always netted me a 3-5 lb loss, I gained it RIGHT back within 2 days every time. Not sure why since I was eating Paleo the next day with NO carbs, sugar or dairy. The only thing that dropped that weight and kept it off was for me to follow the Leptin Reset rules.

Yogurt with heated almond butter and drizzled coconut butter on top (which hardens like magic shell!) was pure heaven--better than any ice cream I could have. |

Nicole- GY with a drizzle of almond butter or peanutbutter is my favorite breakfast! And it keeps me full until lunch! I eat fage 0 and with 1 tbsp of nutbutter it averages 200 calories...a bit high for p2, but since i am rogue i have it sometimes.

Yes, GY is GY...4-5 servings (8 ounces per serving) of Full Fat plain GY. You can add berries if you want (though I never do...I like it better without). Sweeten with your fave SF syrups or extracts and sweetener. I like coconut extract in mine.

I recently posted this in another thread. Some of these are controversial but they are all things that I've seen here around cd's...
Steak day - fast all day (can have coffee/tea with cream). For dinner, eat a humongous fatty steak (as big as you can choke down) with either a large raw apple or a large raw tomato. May use condiments and spices freely but no veggies, dairy, etc. Split steak day - fast until lunch (can have coffee/tea with cream). For lunch eat a medium sized steak (8oz or so) with a small serving of veggies, if desired. For dinner, eat a medium sized steak with either a large raw apple or a large raw tomato. May use condiments and spices freely but no dairy, etc. Roasted chicken day - roast a whole large chicken. Start in the morning (if desired) and eat dark meat and skin (legs, wings and thighs) first for breakfast and lunch. If you run out of dark meat before dinner, make chicken salad (full-fat mayo) and eat it for dinner. May use condiments and spices freely but no veggies, fruit, dairy, etc. Roasted chicken leg/thigh/wing day - same as roasted chicken day except eat roasted legs/thighs/wings all day. May use condiments and spices freely but no veggies, fruit, dairy, etc. Greek yogurt day - Start in the morning (if desired) and eat 32-40oz of full-fat Greek yogurt plus up to 8oz of berries. If full-fat yogurt cannot be found, add 2T of heavy cream to each 8oz serving of yogurt. No restrictions on non-sugar sweeteners in the yogurt or (if desired) spices. No other protein or veggies. Egg day - Start in the morning and eat 8-12 eggs throughout the day. Condiments and butter or oil may be added for cooking or to make egg salad but no veggies, fruit, dairy, etc. Fish/seafood day - fast all day (can have coffee/tea with cream). For dinner, eat a humongous piece of fish/seafood (any) with 8oz of asparagus. May use condiments and spices freely but no veggies, fruit, dairy, etc. Split fish/seafood day - fast all day (can have coffee/tea with cream). For lunch eat a medium sized piece of fish/seafood (any) (8oz or so) with a small serving of veggies if desired. For dinner, eat a medium sized piece of fish/seafood (any) with 8oz of asparagus. May use condiments and spices freely but no veggies, fruit, dairy, etc. Atkins fat fast - Eat 1000 calories worth of Atkins Fat Fast foods (google for list) Protein fast - Eat protein (any) all day. May be fatty protein but add minimal fat for cooking. No veggies, fruit, dairy, etc. |
