There is nothing in Pounds and Inches about any "phase" anything. I think that is language from Kevin Trudeau (spelling). But Dr. Simeon talk about after vlcd, eating whatever you want, except starches and sugars. Then, adding those back in slowly.

I went with what C'marie told me...add in slowly....so I added once piece of whole wheat bread for two days, if ok, then added, some multi grain pasta....then oatmeal. By week two I was eating two carbs/starches a day. Like oatmeal for breakfast and pasta with dinner, or sandwich for lunch and potato with dinner. When I added potato however, that was the only thing I added that day to make sure and it was one of the last things I added...the last thing was sweet corn...I also added a small square of dark chocolate week 2...
I did not gain at all! It was fabulous Slow and steady!

I am wondering if the fact that I am planning on living a low carb lifestyle has any effect on the necessity of doing a P4? It could also be that I am entirely too impatient to loss the last 11-20.

I went right into eating Paleo/Primal in my P4 and it helped me to stabilize when I was NOT stabilizing in P3. I also adopted a lot of the Leptin Reset rules in order to help me stabilize. Worked amazing!

Thanks! I'll be VERY curious to see what happens after this round. I think I'm going to start the 6 weeks of Leptin Reset from day one of P3 so we'll see how it goes. Last time I fooled around with a lot of dairy/nuts right from day one of P3 and I now know I am very sensitive to dairy and that nuts should be very limited for awhile in P3.

Lildrew, even if you are not planning on having many "starchy" carbs in real life, there are carbs that you should get used to. And you want to see how your body handles them if you have special occasions, etc. I live a fairly low-carb lifestyle just out of choice, but there are things that are in the higher-carb category that aren't super starchy, and then there's Ezekiel bread, oatmeal, quinoa - whole, real foods that won't hurt you in moderation. 1 or 2 a day can be a healthy lifestyle - I'm not talking about cr@p and twinkies and such.
1 thing a day, not a compound something, a plain something (no sugar and starch together) and I usually do that same thing 2 days in a row to see how it goes. And then there's alcohol

Thanks C'Marie!!!!!
Ezekial bread is definitely on my list to try!! I am strongly leaning towards starting P2 too again next week. Call me vain, but I was just asked to be in yet another wedding this year and have a corresponding baby shower to go to and want to look my best for both. HA! ![]() When I get through this last round I will definitely go through a solid P3 and P4 and will follow you suggestion about adding carbs that are more low carb lifestyle friendly! I think this will be very important for me in my quest to maintain and NEVER EVER go back. ![]() ![]() Thank you all so much for the information and the support!! I don't know what I would do without you!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
