***FOOD PORZ ALERT*** I ALWAYS bake my bacon. Key pieces--line your baking sheet with foil. Double the strips of bacon. You get more on the pan that way. Start it out in a cold oven. This is the FIRST thing I am making!!!

Shelby You are a Hoot! The method I copied down was pretty similar, lining a cookie/baking sheet with foil, then using a wire rack. Didn't say double but sounds like a plan to me! It said turn oven on to 400 and put it right in the cold oven bake 12-17 mins depending on thickness. Can't wait!!

Don't know about the chicken thighs guess I could try it. I know how much you love em!

@shelby, when you say double the bacon, does it mean you put two pieces together? how do they get crispy in the middle of the two pieces? Do you flip them over?

I am down another 1lb today! Only one more meal to go and I made it through the weekend on plan. Going dress shopping for my son's wedding next weekend so I am hoping to lose 5 more lbs before then.

Made it to Virgin Fat Territory today at 165 even!!! 5 more lbs to go and I'm DONE! My round is supposed to end next Tuesday so hopefully I'll get there by then because this P2 is getting really old right now

Down .2 today--I know I'm not drinking enough water, so I did switch to iced tea today to see if I can get more liquids in.

Yes, I put two pieces together and I don't use a rack (just one more thing to clean!). If you cook the bacon long enough, even doubled up, it gets crispy. Just think of it like those "extra thick" cuts of bacon.

@Nichole - whoohoo! VFT! Doesn't it feel GREAT?!

My weight loss has REALLY slowed down! Only .2 the last two days. I'm wondering if it is TOM, but I have no clue since I didn't have a period last month. I didn't think all the peri-menopausal "stuff" would start happening to me @ 45, but I guess it has. Makes it hard to know when to expect TOM.
Hoping to have a good loss tomorrow, but I'm afraid since I chewed a piece of gum today, too. I don't usually go off protocol, but I was at a cheer competition and sitting w/ some other mom's and w/ the bad breath that comes w/ low carb., I had to!
Glad I am in good company here w/ others! Thanks for the support. I am @ VLCD 7. How about you?

Hi Ladies
Well I stayed away from the scale for two days and this morning I was down 4 lbs??? I went to Goodwill and bought two pairs of jeans that look pretty good. I went to a retirement party Friday night with some folks I work with. We are usually dressed in scrubs at work but at the party I was wearing a pair of jeans and several of the girls said "Wow I never knew how skinny you were under those scrubs". Really made me feel great! BUT I am still counting the days until P2 is over...

hey, we are the same weight, but mine has really slowed down this past week, i want to see 160 before i am done, i was planning on going till the 31st, so hope i can get off 5# by then, as slow as its going it will probably take me that long-----can't wait for p3

todays weight was the same as yesterdays, so i am hoping for a whoosh this week, i need one
