Sorry TMI, people on hcg, do you go days or even a whole week without pooping?

I just feel like I have a bunch of days old eaten food still in my body. Can't get it out at the moment. I know in my round 1 I went through the same thing until finally after days and days I was able to. I feel like if it's out I'll lose like one more pound!

Less frequent bowel movements can happen, since the volume of food is less than normal, but that is excessive. Please try some senna tea or take a magnesium supplement to get things moving against. That will make you feel better.

Generally speaking, anything beyond three days of no bowel movements is constipation that should be addressed. Are you getting a good gallon or more of fluids a day? That can also help. I have still been having movements every day throughout P2, and water and magnesium are what I credit for it.

Oh yes! This is my first time trying HCG and I have experienced gas and bloating like you wouldn't believe plus constipation as you describe. I do suffer from IBS also though. Today is my 6th day on the program and I was just about to give up when I finally experienced a significant weight loss like most have days before.

In my last round of P2 I only went to the bathroom every 3 days! I didn't feel bad or anything either. I guess b/c we are eating so little in comparison to what we normally eat we don't need to eliminate as much? I drank green tea once a day every day and LOTS of water too but I still only went every 3 days. So I would say it's normal...

Yup!!! This was an issue for me on both rounds. Shelbyla suggested Magnesium Citrate. It's a liquid Oral Solution (Citrate of Magnesia). Inexpensive too. It costs less than a dollar a bottle. Does the trick in short order and not a bad tasting lemony flavor. Also Smooth Move Tea does the trick for me just not as quickly. You will lose more than a pound once the "dam breaks). Dr. Simeons kept assuring us in P&I that this is not an uncommon phenomenum but I always felt 100% better once I could finally have a visit from Bernice!!!

I use Natural Calm for that. Works like a charm. It is a magnesium supplement that is a powder that you add to your drink at night. I put it in some hot tea at night and go to bed. Love that stuff!! So does my DH, who is not on protocol.

Nope, I go at least twice a day, but I also drink a LOT of water and take fiber capsules. The bowel movements are less, but I do go every single day.

I have not ever skipped a day (even on a round - am currently on Round 3), that would suck.

Good Luck!

To answer you in one word: yes.

(I think the main problem isn't constipation--it's just that there's very little food in your gut. I'm never uncomfortable, but sometimes it just dawns on me that it's been four or five or six days...)

Just ordered the Natural Calm tonight! I take magnesium pills but maybe I will do this instead. It will force me to drink the green tea in the evening.
Do you also think it helps with the leg cramps? That was the reason I started taking the magnesium pills to begin with.

ACV is great for leg cramps as well as potassium i believe everyone should be taking 3 99mg of potassium a day while dosing we are drinking a lot of water and that can flush it out of your system quickly

oh and BTW ACV will work in 3 minutes if you are having a cramp

Thanks for the info on ACV. I use Apple Cidar Vinegar every day for my dressing on my salad. Mixed it with 1/4 juice of a navel orange, 1 stevia pack, and black pepper... it is so good. I didn't realize it helped with leg cramps! Thanks!

I think it will, but I have to take the potassium in order to rid myself of the nasty cramps. The magnesium alone will not cut it for me. I take 8 pills of the OTC potassium (that is the equivalent of the prescription pills) in one day, plus the ACV at night to have my bases covered. That combo really rids me of the cramps

What area of a store would have natural calm? Is it with the vitamins?

I used Smooth Move tea to help. I also had very bad gas if I drink any diet coke in Round 2. I didn't have that problem in Round 1, but BOY did I have it in Round 2.

I got it at the Vitamin Shoppe and it is a magnesium supplement. Don't remember if I found it in the colon cleansing section (most likely) or the minerals section. I have a bottle from last round that I am using, so it has been a while since I have purchased it.

Thanks so much, Dawn! I have a Vitamin Shoppe near me so that's perfect. Do you prefer the Natural Calm over magnesium citrate pills?

Smooth move tea killed me if I let it steep for more than 2 minutes. So literally when I use it, I just dunk the bag a couple of times and steep for less than a minute.

This round though no issues...have been going every day, yay!!!!!

I have not tried the pills. Just the Natural Calm because that is what was suggested to me. But if you have the pills already, I would try those. I know that some on here use them and do well.

That was suggested to my DH's aunt the day before her surgery. We were told it was to help with the gas after her hysterectomy last Weds. She had to have the whole bottle in one day at certain times

Yeah for you!! My DH found this dieter's tea at our Asian food market and loved using it. But then we didn't want to visit that store every week, so we ended up buying the "Get Regular" tea at Walmart. It works well for him I have used it only when desperate. Because I have not been doing P2 for some time we fell out of the Natural Calm habit. I have since picked it back up for the past few days and haven't gotten the results I have had when I used it before. Maybe need to increase the dose tonight. Or try that Get Regular tea Ahhh, the joys of P2

I used Metamucil. I found unflavoured, unsweetened Metamucil (which I can't seem to find now for some reason - why does everything have to have either sugar or aspartame?) and used that once a day. It kept things moving and provided a bit of bulk so it actually felt like I'd accomplished something. Otherwise it was waiting every 3 days for something very small.

I'm on iron supplementation so if I don't take metamucil or another fibre supplement, I'm stopped and when Aunt Bernice visits it's painful and horrible.

Big, big fan of Smooth Move tea here! Kept me going almost every day on my last round of P2. I also use the Yogi brand Soothing Mint Get Regular with similar results.

I did start taking the potassium first for the cramps and then someone at the health food store suggested the magnesium. So I have been taking both but I will remember the ACV. I do try and take a shot of it every night just because everyone keeps talking about how good it is for you. My family laughs at me with the faces I make when I take it. I don't mix it with anything because I just want to get it over with,

That is me. I don't want to have to sip it in water during the day as it is commonly suggested. I just want it over and done with. In no time the face squinching will go away
