I'm a little concerned about exercise. I work out 5 days a week and with a trainer 1-2 times a week. What has your experience been w/ a continued exercise program?

Also, I work long hours - anyone experience fatigue on P2?
common get some yerbe mate tea or oolong tea and have a cup every day

For my first round I could not work out like I had before hcg. I just had no energy. But I did walk/stroll every day. I found that it helped me to lose the weight. Some get really good bursts of energy while on the hcg, while others (like me) had their energy sapped. You will just have to gauge your workouts with how you feel. Dr S said to continue doing whatever it was you were doing pre-hcg, just don't start anything new! Good luck to you

The rule of thumb for exercise is its okay to keep doing what you're already doing, but don't start anything new. Potassium will help with fatigue. Salt or salty chicken broth can also help.

This is my second load day of R4, so I'll be starting VLC tomorrow. I lost focus during the holidays and found myself up a few.

Welcome to all the newbies! May you find it the miracle so many of us have. old and new friends, looking forward to another great year!

I stopped exercise for this round, at first I didn't have the energy and then I was sick. Exercise makes me hungry so I didn't want to risk it, starting out. Next round I will probably maintain my somewhat mild routine

Thanks all for your helpful replies!!

I loaded today. Not hungry at all on the HCG. That feels so odd, as I wanted to be hungry for my load days! Working on getting some good fats in there. The coconut oil and almond butters are my favorites.

Check in later. Hope you are all well. Happy New Year.

OMG!!!!! According to the scale tonight, I gained 7.5 POUNDS loading! I could smack myself. Too much sugary crap. I only lost 8lbs last round, grr. I am upping my goal to losing 17lbs. This is crap. Looking forward to phase 2 tomorrow. I know none of my pants will fit me for work, only being 5 feet tall, 7lbs = a pant size.

Hi everyone, I am starting now, too! I loaded Sat and Sun and today is my VLCD day 1. I gained just over 2# loading.

I am calling this Round 1, although I did a round 15 months ago. I did great, lost 25# but I did not come off correctly - stabilizing in P3 and onto P4 then another (definitely needed) round. Here I am a year and a quarter later having gained back all but 4 pounds!

So this is round 1 because I am actually going to DO a round 2 and so on to goal. I am getting this right!

Anyway, I would love to join this thread. Best of luck to all during this round!

Been researching, reading and am ready to take the plunge. Am going to be supervised by Doctor as I had gastric bypass about 13 years ago. Appt is Wednesday Jan 4th and I hope to begin loading over the weekend.

About 195 now. Goal is 140 perhaps. Although I've been happy at 170 range in the past. After reviewing the posts I am rethinking. Perhaps I will actually get to the goal I've always dreamed of....

Everyone's posts have been very informative. Looking forward to following progress.

Happy New Year!

I'm loading today and tomorrow (and yesterday but it wasn't a very good job of it, hence tomorrow). Whipping cream is my load buddy . And fish oil supplements (before bed, that way no herring burps).

I made a mess of my P4 and gained most of it back - part of that was because I was undergoing a gluten trial and thus had to eat wheat... which causes about a 2lb a day weight gain regardless of what else I ate. And makes me miserable enough that I am ending the dang wheat trial early and who cares about the results. I can't wait to get back on VLC. Haha, never thought I'd say that.

I will be doing a modified protocol. My gluten-free pretzels, vegetables and fruit will be the same, I'm upping my meat to 150g from 100g each meal. I was showing signs of protein deficiency last round, and I already know I have a higher protein requirement than some.

Good Morning everyone! Back to work today (when's the next holiday?) Did pretty good yesterday although I had a couple of chips - again! But went down 3.4 today...I know it's probably water weight so I can't keep 'cheating'.

R1 VLCD1 - 246 (JAN 1, 2012)
VLCD2 - 243, VLCD3 - 239.6
