Deb,It gets VERY frustrating seeing the scale bump up when you KNOW you have been doing goodbut think about how frustrated you would be if you blew it and gained back all that you worked so hard to get offI was up today but I forgot to take my water pill AND I had a weak moment with some cream cheese It's in the trash nowJan,that's great that you are almost out of the 200's FOREVER! What kind of scale do you ladies have and are you happy with it? Dh thinks I should buy an old fashion one with the dial but I don't think that's a good ideamaybe just a more expensive digital than I have now

Hi Harley... Thanks for all the encouagement you ladies give ... It gets me in trouble when I know ive been good and I dont lose... Ive been good for 2 days now and ive gone up a couple of points.. I know why, its because of my cheat and I know my body has to get rid of all that junk again that I put in... Im getting tired now and im looking forward to P3.. I just wanna start over.. Im getting married next month and I definetly wanna be into a solid P3.... Im gonna try to maintain what ive lost and restart... Hopefully I will lose a couple more pounds before this round ends... As far as my scale it just a plain ole glass digital scale that was on clearance at Walgreens for 10 bucks , it really has been a good one... Ive had it a couple of years.. Have a great weekend Harley!!!

Deb - so very happy for you !!!! That is great news !!!!

Harley g-ma - the scale I have weighs in .2 increments. The digital I had befor was "upper scale "in cost....but it weighed in the .5 increments. Sure, it gave hydration levels (I'm STILL skeptical about that)...but I want and NEED to see a .2 loss on some days. Purely for motivation. I would never go back to a dial. The one I have now, I paid the least amount for and I like it the best.

Going to go out a limb tonight and make the strawberry smoothie w/the cottage cheese and spinach. It's in the P2 recipee section. I cannot live without knowing what that tastes like. I will report back with the findings...

Girls - we are quickly approaching the 21 day mark. Monday will be 3 weeks. I am absolutely going to continue for the full 42 days that I originally planned. I have done some EXTREMELY long rounds in the past....but this is what works for me now.

In the past, I did P3 for the 21 days and went right back to P2. I PLAN on doing it by the book this time. And that means also doing P4. I think that is why I backslid. I know now that I need to do the plan as written.

So...the great strawberry/spinach/cottage cheese ~ EXPERIMENT~

Oh...OK...it wasn't THAT bad.

Although I did have to add some razzberry davinci to it.
Would I make it again? YES. But I would definately have to be in the mood for it. I think that mood comes when I JUST DO NOT WANT TO EAT ANY MORE CHICKEN. LOL

Today was not as LAZY as I wanted it to be. Went with dh to a few stores. WallMart, Lowes, Home Depot, Menards, TSC. Then back to Wallyworld without him. I ususally get about 70-80% of every other saturday off. And 70-80% of every sunday off. Tomorrow though....LAZY !!!!

1 pound this morning !!

IDK what to think....is it the spinach? I had it 2x this week, and both mornings after was a GOOD loss. Between that and subbing the protein out for either eggs or cottage cheese ???

And I got to say, I would have NEVER thought that the shake would have FILLED me up for any amount of time, BUT IT DID.
I think I shall have this at tleast 1x a week. Just to shake things up a bit. Although I am a little confused on the cottage cheese ~ protein ratio.

Good job JanYou are doing the best staying on planI had a HORRIBLE day yesterday but back on the straight and narrow today It's really hard without a scale to feel motivatedI know that's silly I may have to give the shake a try also.I am so sick of apples! I bought some strawberries from Fl and they are very good.I was surprised but it's almost strawberry time down there I am going to stay on the 40 day plan too. I think it is going to take at least that long to really notice a big difference in the way I look

Total Loss

Todays Loss - .4
Weeks Loss - 3.6
Total Loss - 22.4

Today marks day #21. Exactly 3 weeks of VLCD'S

This mornings weight was 208 even. I beginning to get a WHIFF of onederland. I'm hoping 2 more weeks....but more realistically it will be 3.

I have a birthday at the end of next month. I plan on being FIRMLY in P3 at that time. Maybe even "flirting" with the idea of P4. I will be 54 yrs old.

The year that I turned 50.....
I was going to TOPS. I was doing low-carb.
The meeting was the day befor my birthday.
I made goal that day. (160 pounds). Actually, I weighed in at 158.
!!!! WTH !!!! HAPPENED ?????

No looking back......Nothing ahead but the future....

Deb ~ Where are you....miss you !!!

Tonight for supper I had taken a chicken breast (out of the freezer this morning, precooked) and squirted a bit of that marinade that I posted in the bag.
Sliced it and warmed it up in the pan.
Nuked some cabbgage in the micro. I really miss BUTTER, so I used some butter extract w/water to cook this.
Then dumped it into the pan with the chicken.
Bowled it up, a little salt and pepper and I enjoyed it very much.

looking forward to my strawberries tonight.

Hope everyone had a GREAT day.

Harley g-ma....I've only had 1 pedicure...that was when I turned 50. The same day I had a massage. And that was also the last time that I had one. At one time, Sioux City was home to a College for Massage Therapy. You could get an HOUR LONG massage for $25. I used to buy a lot of Christmas presents there... Dang...I miss that place.

I'm the same way with my feet. But it's different when they "touch them like they mean it" !!! It's a massage all of its own.

Deb - are you having a Big Wedding? I can imagine the stress.
DH and I did things very simple about 23 years ago. He wanted to put me under his union insurance....so, we rode around town drinking a 12 pac, and went to the bank and signed a common-law marriage agreement on top of the empty beer box. Now...I do not recommend this for everyone, but we've lasted quite awhile.

I went back into my "history" and found this thread that I posted. Maybe you guys will find it interesting. This isn't my first trip to town on the hhcg wagon........but hopefully it's my last.

The stats from beginning to FINAL GOAL !!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The stats people....and nothing but the stats

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I thought it might be interesting to post my actual stats. Everyone is so different, with their lifestyles, etc. that I thought that seeing the actual number of days that I committed to each round might be interesting to somebody.

R1P2
April 7. loaded for 2.5 days. started VLCD weighing 243 pounds
May 16- day # 38- weighed 210 pounds
Total loss of 33 pounds

R1P3
May 16 210 pounds
June 11 day # 27 weighed 210.5
Had to do 1 steak day

This time I skipped P4. I wanted to get back to losing!!!!

R2P2
June 12 started loading weighing 211 pounds
June 14 started VLCD weighing 217.5
Aug 2 day #61 weighed 179.8
I did an extremely long P2 this time. I guess I was just wanting to experiment with this diet.

R2P3
Stabilazation weight was 179.8
Aug 26 - day # 21 - weighed 179.8
Had to do 2 steak days

R2P4
Aug 27 weighed 178.8
Oct 5 day # 40 - weighed 178
This round I have had 8 steak days. Although, technically, I only needed to do 7. One day just happened to turn into one.

During P3 & P4 of this round, I have done a lot of traveling with dh. Every day was worth it!!! Some of those steaks days in P4 occured after getting home from some of these trips.

I will be loading this weekend and starting my final round (hopefully).
I think that I can get the final 20 off with 1 more round

JAN

R3P2
Started on Oct 8th weighing in at 182.8
After 2 days of loading...I weighed in at 193.6
I did another EXTREMELY LONG ROUND THIS TIME. As a matter of fact , today was day # 58 of VLC.
Last friday morning I weighed in at 159.4.....160 was my goal weight. I continued to do a few more days....I want to weigh about 154 - 155 for this final stabilazation. Todays weight was 157.8. I figure 2-3 more days oughtta do it.

I absolutely know that I could not have reacaptured my goal weight without doing hhcg.

Just thought I'd post these final stats.

Jan,so this is your 4th round? Very interesting Were you as dedicated on all the rounds as you are now? I did one round last summer and lost 18 lbs in 21 days but I'm not as strict now I NEED to beIt took me about 6 months to put it back on Why do we do that? We KNOW we need to weigh every day and nip it in the bud but we decide we would rather eat. It's coming off so slow this time I swear I am NOT going to put it back on this time. That is a very funny story about when you got married.Me and (2nd)Dh got married at the courthouse when we went to get the license. We were on the way to Gatlinburg Tn.and the minister at the courthouse talked us into saving the money for the honeymoonDeb,don't do anything you are uncomfortable doing

I DO NOT know what's going on with this "body" of mine....but I released 1.4 pounds this morning. BYE-BYE...hope I never see you again.

I think maybe things are going good because I have been making sure that I have a wide variety of foods.

I mean, in the past, I have done MANY days in a row eating nothing but chicken for my protein.

Not this time.

I am thankfull that I included oranges in this round.
I am thankful to have decided to do the eggs at least 1x a week.
I am thankful that I am now a spinach lover.
I am thankful that I now know I should NOT eat cabbage twice in one day (can you say Pee-You???)
I am thankfull that measely portion of 4 oz of fish actually was enough for me yesterday..(that's why I never included it befor, it just wasn't "filling me up mentally")
I am really thankful for strawberries. They are the fruits from the gods.

AND I AM THANKFULL FOR THIS FORUM AND ALL OF THE FRIENDS THAT I HAVE MADE HERE AND FOR THEIR SUPPORT.

man, I am so sore. I need to go in and get a treatment. The epsom salt baths and the massager just are NOT cutting it anymore.

tonight for dinner I had chicken, slaw, grisinni and going to have my strawberries in a little bit.
I saw that wfarms had a new bottle that I'd never seen befor at the store. Slaw dressing. It was'nt to bad......but I'm going to play with it a bit and see what I come up with. I did add some braggs apple cider vinegar to give it a kick, but it still needs something. Maybe some celery seed.

Dh wants to go to Omaha soon. Sounds good to me. But I told him that it would be a few weeks befor I can go. I do not want to go out of town while doing P2. HECK NO !!!! WON'T DO IT !!!!

A hard thing for me right now is owning a bar....and not drinking a beer. Now, I have quit many times over the years , usually because of dieting. For me, I do not exercise "good judgement" when I drink. It's way to easy to justify fast food runs ....and I only drink MGD 64. BUT....I'll drink when the time is right, and when it's not, I won't.

MGD 64 was the best beer invention EVER !!!!! Our motorcycle traffic REALLY embraces that and Select 55.

I went to pick up dh's LATE christmas present today. Last year we remodeled our attic. And now, dh calls it his man cave. Well, I had picked up a mirror at wallmart and took it to the shop that does our bar t-shirts. They can do etching on glass. I had the logo that we have on the back of our t-shirts etched on it. Its a skull with flames on the sides. And instead of the bar name, I had twin cams coming out of the top of the skull. SWEET !!!! I have it propped up against the wall upstairs. Just waiting for him to find it. I'm gonna BURST if he does NOT GO UP THERE SOON !!!!

So...had a feeling this would happen today....scale stayed the same.

Today is like a TEMPTATION episode from the Biggest Loser. I had my night cook load the smoker with bone-in pork butt. Takes a 10 hour smoke, so this morning I'll be pulling pork. There is NOTHING like it when it is FRESH out of the smoker.

I WILL WIN THIS BATTLE !!!

Today I am craving eggs. As soon as I can slip away after the lunch run, I am coming home to fix that egg bake thingy.

Calling for an inch of snow today. I have 4 cases of fish floured for lunch and supper. Hope it holds off a bit.

Hope everyone has a GREAT DAY !!!!!

I'm not a beer drinker and the only beer Dh can drink without getting a headache is Dos Equis and supposely it doesn't have hops in in Where are you Deb?We miss you

P2 chili for supper tonight along with my favorite....STRAWBERRIES.

Work was BRUTAL tonight. I ended up flouring another 50 pounds of fish, made a busstub of coleslaw, and sliced up a 3 gal bucket of broasted potatoes. And a gallon of tartar sauce.

Absolutely ready for bed.
