NO SH!!....

I lost 2 pounds on my steak day....but I'm sad to say I'm still just a TAD out of leeway.

So....today I'm doing a shake day for my CD. I just can't wait all day to eat again. I need some IMMEDIATE GRATIFICATION...

I was rushed this morning so, that is why I did'nt post this morning. I have VOWED to myself that I will be here EVERY DAY...whether it's posting from the house puter....my lil netbook...or my phone that drives me crazy....I NEED to be accountable.

Right now....dh came home with me from the bar and is helping me clean. LOVE..LOVE..LOVE IT !!!!!

He runs a heckuva vacuum & dust rag....

So....his reward for dinner will be....

Jan,I've read where several people do a steak day by eating 2-3 oz's several times a day.I couldn't go all day without eating. It would be the same amount of calories and I think it would probably do just as well as eating it all at onceYou are doing so good.I am really proud of you!

Thank You G-ma.....I need to hear some "atta girls"...
I think next time I'll do what you said....eat a little bit all day. I'm not sure if I've ever cooked a steak in the mornings without eggs being involved...

I hope you are doing good !!!!!

the shake day was a miracle worker. weighed in at 186.6 this morning. That is .6 below LDW.

So...I need to be careful today now.

WHAT did you have for your shake day! Do tell! (exact ingredients? or thrown in kitchen-sink style?)

I'm UP still but trying to hang in there till I start again.

I could use another CD in my arsenal.

Yesterday was Hell On Earth.

My back went out again. I guess I have a degenerating disc. I was just getting out of my Escape. Dh was driving. He actually witnessed that I was NOT doing anything goofy, like lifting/carrying something, that I shoulda/woulda had one of the guys do anyway. LOL

Within 30 min, I was completely incapacitated. Dh got me back in the car, took me home, had to 1/2 carry me into the house. He had to put me on the toilet and pick me back up off of it. Pretty Humbling. I layed with ice paks on and off for 6 hours. Today, I can at least walk again.

So....lunch yesterday was a bit of sliced cheese
Supper was 2 fried eggs, 6 strips of bacon, and some of Peggy's low carb bread

Woke up to a 1.2 lb. loss. I am exactly 2 lbs under my LDW.
Planning on making pizza for supper tonight. We like the 1 with crust made from cheese & eggs.

I am not sure what to do about this back thing. I know I need to strengthen my core....maybe yoga?
Dh is REALLY CONCERNED about it happening if I'm on the bike. It would be 1 thing if I'm on te back....but I also ride my own....

OK...lost 1.5 lbs yesterday... This is what I ate:

B: 7 slices of bacon and 2 fried eggs
S: Blueberries and whipped cream
L: Steak and green beans with butter
D: Grilled boneless pork ribs with cabbage sauteed in butter
S: Cheddar Cheese

I also had a large iced DD coffee with cream in the AM. I do best when I eat enough and not a bunch of crap. I think I might go back into P2 next week for a couple more weeks.

I don't think you are eating enough. I also think that if you are having back issues that your body is retaining water due to the inflammation, but that is just my opinion.

OH MY, Jan! I'm so sorry to hear about back issues. I know what it's like to be in pain and I can't imagine the back being that "out" - I am so so sorry. I think Peggy is right, you probably are retaining water due to inflammation. It's just the way things are when there is pain and swelling involved.

I am UP so am doing a GY day today. I may do another CD tomorrow. Then I think I am going to do a P2++ type of diet for about a week, or more, and then load again on the weekend of the 16th and jump back on P2. I THINK, anyway - still depends on doctor appointments etc I have to travel for. Depends when they can get me in.

I have to say that inflammation sucks.

One of my knees is so swollen and has restricted movement. I think I am going to ask for an ortho referral so I can find out what is going on with it.

I just had awesome stuffed peppers for dinner...YUM!!

I do know that I have degenerating disc. I have had back issues for 20+ years. I went to the chiro today....I'm hoping the treatment holds. But, he got me into CNOS. Center for Nuerological and Ortho Surgery. I had my knee done there (cleaned out a miniscus and a lateral tear) a few years ago. I have an appointment on the 17th. He (my chiro) is torn between whether its my lower back or my actual hip that is the problem. They can narrow it down with an MRI.

I THINK I'm eating enough. Today, I had a protein smoothie this morning. For lunch i had a grilled hamburger (no bun) and a huge plate of raw veges with about 1/3 c of jap ranch dressing for a dip. For supper I had 2 eggs w/ 3 egg whites, spinach, a piece of Peggy's bread torn up, a bunch of chopped up pepperoni, and about 2/3 c cheese blend. All mixed together and baked. It was delicious !!!!

And, I'm gonna have some strawberries later. YUM !!!!

well....no problems last night.
And the strawberries were DELISH....I had them on top of a small slice of Peggy's Blueberry cake and underneath a mound of HWC.
No wonder I'm up this mornig ....but only .2 over my LDW...so it's all good.

Today will be another story. One of my cooks called me last night. Her son had run away. She knew it was coming....but it does'nt make it any easier. And I think she's afraid of him.
I was supposed to go shopping this afternoon for our "adult only easter egg hunt"....and i do not know if I can re-arrange those plans or not (because of he store and another person involved)....so hope I can get something arranged work wise. Dh will be if I end up working all day.

I hope everyone has a GREAT day !!!

up again this morning but still in my leeway.

yesterday.....i was playing with the smoker at work. I took 2 fryers and split them down lengthwise. i had soaked them in a marinade for a day already. they came out wonderful. but the skin was "soft". i remember watching an episode if diners, drive ins, & dives....and they had finished them off in the fryers to crisp up the skin. i ate a whole 1/2 chicken. think i'll be putting this on the menu....lol

i had to chew up a hydro befor going to bed last night. did'nt sleep well even with that. i'm thinking today is NOT going to be good on my body.

well...i just got off work. I thought I only had to work till noon today, but NO....my replacement was having BIG PROBLEMS with teenage son. so....

I think tomorrow dh and I are going to drive out to a small town about 70 miles from here for breakfast and a road trip. They have a breakfast buffet and an omellette bar. And dh says they have the ABSOLUTE BEST WAFFLES IN THE WORLD. I do know that they put malt powder in them and it really "crisps" them up. I've never had one but they LOOK gorgeous !!!!

I hope my back/hip holds up for it !!!! I think I need to back away from the pain pills I've been chewing on. I need to be able to tell the Dr.'s on saturday EXACTLY what I am feeling.
What do you guys think ???

For lunch I had greek yogurt w/ strawberries
Supper was bacon & egg on oopsie bread.

Probably gonna see a gain in the morning....LOL

And no pain pills today. YEAH !!!!

up .2 this morning. But still within leeway.

Not quite sure what today will bring. I have this INTENSE ache in my hip/thigh area. Sometimes it is HARD to describe PAIN. Know what I mean? Is it a burning?a knife-like?a dull throb?a constant? I am trying to keep track of it and exactly WHERE it is.

I just know that I did NOT sleep well. Tossed around alot, and seemed to be most comfortable on my back. But that ALWAYS leads to snoring...LOL. Poor DH.

Well, I will check back in this afternoon.

There must be something wrong with my scale. I am down 3 lbs this morning. I am in leeway though. Maybe I should get a new battery for it....I don't think that I have EVER replaced it.

Went to bed early last night and slept really well....of course Tylnol Pm'S will help with that issue.

Today i will start cooking corned beef. I always make a rueben soup for St. Pat's day. And its kinda like chili....way better a few days later. So today I'll cook it and tomorrow or thursday I'll make it.

Welcome MrsV!!!! Glad you have come out of "lurkdom"....lol
This thread is kinda small as far as posters are concerned. There are a lot bigger threads in the HCG Rooms. But you are MORE THAN WELCOME here. I tend to stay in a smaller group....so, here I am. BUT THERE IS SUPPORT EVERYWHERE HERE !!!!
You can pick up a lot of tips/tricks from all of the threads!!!

Make sure that you load properly...plenty of healthy fats....full fat yogurt, olives, avocadoes, cheeses, etc. It will pay off the first few days of P2 when you think that there is no way that this is enough food.

I have done many rounds of hhcg. Most of them long....at least arounfd 60 days. If you read the first few posts of this thread, you know that I backslid. I do believe in this diet....I just need to believe in myself.
