Well today was sort of an accidental cd--just chicken thighs all day and not very many of them. (Concert this evening--old school punk, Dickies, Vandals, Decendants with a special appearance by Blag Flag.) Guess I always wanted to know what would happen if I did a cd while in my window...and here's my opportunity to find out. Stay tuned...

Hi all, One week till Christmas, and I don't know about you guys but the goodies have been attacking me already I'm just trying to remember that a sample is not bad-- eating the whole tray = bad
Thought I'd pop in to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and encourage everyone to stay on track, get back on track, or find the track lol
Shelby, I'm interested in how your cd experiment goes--good luck with it

Bit of a happy dance this morning. Down 2.6 from the unexpected correction day. Nice to see the low 150's again, especially since I'll be traveling this week and dealing with my mother's baked good next weekend! 2.1 under LDW, yo baby baby!

All I can say is, "Doh!" Fell into a bunch of crappy food this weekend.
Have to find a way to handle stress without turning to bad food. CD today. I am counting the days to get back into P2..

Been a crazy long weekend, but I'm trying to catch up on all the posts. At the start of the weekend, I was 3 pounds above my LDW. Made better choices this weekend and this morning I was right at my LDW.

ahhhhh... bad time of year! This past week has not been good. I haven't been able to get in the CD's that I need to do. On top of that my in-laws came in town and are here for just under 3 weeks. My mother-in-law is the sweetest most wonderful helpful lady. She likes to help however she can (kids, laundry... cooking). The cooking is the problem because she likes to cook low-fat, which seems to be inherently high-carb. On top of that she is constantly picking up candy and other treats.

My weight had been inching up despite staying very low carb and lots of CD's even before they came, and I'm just so bummed about where I am. I'm up 11 pounds from LDW (only 3 pounds under my last round of hhcg). I had such high hopes to maintain this loss through the first of the year. Anxious (and dreading at the same time) to start the next round in January.

Not to jinx myself... but this morning, for the first time since I got the blasted IUD in August, I woke up un-hypothyroid, with temps solidly in the normal range. My basals (first thing in the morning) had been creeping up a bit last week to mid-97's but this morning I woke up to a 97.9 feeling HOT. I have no idea, other than extra iron and playing around with leptin principles, what happened, but I am absolutely thrilled. Talk about a NSV! I'm going to give it a few days then take the extra comforter off the bed...

I hate weekends. I do fine during the week but weekends involve going out and being faced with food. I'm in P4 so I can have some sugar and starch, so everyone expects that I will. And I do. I'm up another 7 lbs and I just really don't want to face a CD. I wonder if just doing low carb for a few days will bring it down.

I find big protein breakfasts really help though - on days I eat a big protein breakfast it seems I can still have some carby stuff in the day (not a lot, but some) and I'll be down the next morning. I think I'm going to stick with this big breakfast thing.

Im so with you on the weekend thing! It's really hard, right? Im trying to go by the book and stabalize properly and i already screwed up this past weekend at a company holiday party! I was doing so well--brought a big veggie tray with yummy ranch dip, had ham and deviled eggs, 7 layer salad, i even brought my own diet soda to mix with my mango rum. Then they brought out the champagne. And i had a glass. then another. and another.
Then they brought out the sweet tea vodka shots. And more champagne. I guess it could have been worse. I was able to correct and am back down to my LDW but it took me 2 days. Maybe you can do a low sodium/low carb for a couple days and see where that puts you. And plenty of tea and water to help flush everything out. Thats what i did yesterday and it worked well.

Well BOOO! Bumped back up today but I think this may be from eating a very late, very heavy dinner, including probably a pound of steak, a couple of forkfuls of rice and some cheesecake.

I also hate weekends, especially on P2. I find I have too much time on my hands, as opposed to the weekdays where I just barely have enough time for lunch, which works out perfectly for P2. On P3, there's the booze which always elevates my weight for a couple of days. gah!

And speaking of barely having enough time for lunch, I have now been on the phone with my online travel place for just under an hour. The airline rerouted my flight from a direct flight to transferring with barely any time in between in Denver of all places. I now need to be at the airport more than two hours earlier AND I can't check in online because I need to "accept" the itinerary changes. Like I have a choice other than cancelling my trip????? And frankly, I am HUNGRY, haven't eaten lunch, and am getting crankier by the minute. GD airlines! GD travel bookers! I HATE holiday travel!!!!! grrrrrrrr....

Shelby did you get your flight stuff all in order? Hope so girlie--you were not a happy camper!
I am very pleased so far with my P3......I am still in the window even after eating at Cheesecake Factory with a client/friend last night. Im suprised and pleased. We had stuffed mushrooms, grilled artichoke (which was so amazing, btw) and we each had a HUGE salad! I mean huge. Anyone who's been to cheesecake knows how big the salads are. I got the BBQ ranch chicken salad--minus the corn, black beans, and only ate a few of the crispy onion strips on top. I was expecting to gain so im happy. I also had 2 maple sausage patties & coffee (2cups) with heavy cream for breakfast, then a grilled chicken salad for lunch with shredded 4 cheese blend and marzetti super blue dressing for lunch, then on a break at work i had a venti iced coffee with SF caramel syrup and heavy cream. That was so good and the baristas always give me a weird look when i order this LOL. It's funny! Oh and i had a couple russell stovers SF pecan delights at work. Not bad, huh?

Well Christmas is going to be a wash. I won't have an opportunity for a chicken day until next week. By then, no amount of chicken days are likely to save me.

On the other hand I've decided to do a marathon round next round - 50 lbs or bust! I may end up with fewer rounds because of the shortage, but I am determined to get this done.

P3 time!! Started P3 .5 above LDW so I'm starting strong! Diving right in again like last round, I stabilized nicely for the most part.

Shelby - wave at me when you're in Denver! How long is your stop/layover?

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend!!
