sad sad day, good -bye dairy
![]() I cut out dairy last week to see if that was causing my bloating/constipation/weight fluctuations. Well today I added a small amount of half and half in my coffee....it was amazing!! so much better than black or coconut milk! and I was fine but around 3pm I had an apple and moz cheese 10 minutes later I had killer cramps and tummy rumbling and felt like I needed to be sick. I wasn't sure if it was the apple or the cheese so after dinner at about 5:30 my daughter had a sundae and I know I cheated but I had a few bites but whenever I have an upset tummy I have always craved ice cream for some reason. 5 minutes later I was in the bathroom for an hour. No more dairy for me, ugh. I am going to try the half and half tomorrow and see if I am at least still okay to have a few tablespoons per day but I will stay away from yogurt, cheese and ice cream....I was so looking forward to making the cauliflower crust pizza this weekend too From what I can remember cream cheese never gave me tummy issues....does this have less lactose in it??

I'm dairy-free, too, and at first, it was really hard. I'm mentally OK now after only a matter of weeks. HWC has less lactose than half-and-half, in case you didn't know. Here's a short answer about lactose in cheese. |

For your coffee, I think Nichole on the alternatives thread (maybe?) came up with an acceptable creamer alternative having to do with coconut milk and an egg white? Might want to ask over there if that is something that you'll miss.
You could also try lasering dairy to see if that helps you. I had fewer issues after I lasered GY, cream and half n half. |

Is this issue prevalent in multiple rounds?
Did you keep the tablespoon of milk in your P2? Just wondering if this is something I should watch for later on... |

I am definitely a low-to-no dairy girl, just because it gives me reactions (acne, seborrhea, stuffy nose, etc). I can do cheese in moderation and heavy cream in coffee, but things like ice cream or a glass of milk must be rare and I do suffer for them - in cravings and reactions as well as bouncing around on the scale. Such is life, unfortunately. |

I can tolerate 1 T of half and half in my coffee but larger amounts of greek yogurt or milk are not good (although raw milk from my local Amish farmer don't affect me nearly as much as milk from the store).
