For calories, google "BMR calculator," put in your age, height and projected LDW weight. Multiply by your activity level--1.2 for sendentary, 1.35 for exercise 2-3x per week, 1.55 for exercise 3-5 times per week, 1.75 for exercise 6-7 days per week.

You need at minimum 21 VLCD before a legal interruption. By my calculations, you will have that on 12/20. Two more days to get off the HCG (12/21 and 12/22), then you could start your interruption on 12/23.

Ok ladies, here's a few recipes if anyone is interested:

Chicken Cacciatore

100 g chicken breast, diced
1 can diced tomatoes
1/4 c chicken broth
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon bragg's liquid aminos
2 tablespoons chopped onion
2 cloves minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 bay leaf
Pinch of cayenne to taste
Stevia to taste

Brown the chicken with garlic, onion and lemon juice in a small saucepan. Deglaze the pan with the chicken broth. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, vinegar and spices. Simmer on low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the bay leaf and serve hot.

Chili

100 grams lean ground beef (less than 7% fat)
1 can diced tomatoes
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
Pinch of garlic powder
Pinch of onion powder
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
Pinch of oregano
Cayenne pepper to taste (optional)
Salt & pepper to taste

Brown ground beef in small frying pan, add onions and garlic. Stir in tomatoes and water. Add spices and simmer slowly until liquid is reduced. The longer it cooks, the more tender and flavorful it will be. Add a little water as needed to prevent burning. Serve with chopped green onion or tomato garnish and salt and pepper to taste.

Savory Chicken Soup

100 grams chicken breast, cubed
1 1/2 cups celery or tomatoes, chopped
2 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoon onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
Cayenne pepper to taste
Salt and pepper to taste

Bring chicken stock to a boil. Add onion, garlic and spices. Add chicken and vegetables and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes or more until chicken and veggies are tender and fully cooked. Serve hot. Sprinkle with chives or parsley if desired.

Wow! Those recipes look good! In P2, I stick to really basic food, because I don't have a lot of time to cook, and when I get home from work I tend to be hungry, so the least amount of time I spend in the kitchen the better!

Just an update... Lost another 2 lbs this morning so that is 6 lbs lost in 3 weigh in's!

So yesterday I tried to up my fat and calories...and well...I did not do too well. I was still under my calories...

B: 2 eggs and 2 oz turkey sausage, cheese (did not measure cheese but enough to lightly cover the eggs)
L: nothing
D: 5 oz Ground beef over lettuce, pico, 3 tblsp sour cream and a Taco Bell dressing (something new I found at Albertsons...full fat, I beleive). Very yummie dinner.

And why did I have "nothing" for lunch? Well I ate breakfast very late and because I cheated with potato chips. OMG I could kill the hubbie. I found his bag in the pantry OPENED. If he opens something bad like that he knows to hide it...and putting it behind my big ole bos of sugar free gum is NOT hiding it. Unopened, no problem....but there they were staring at me. So I had a few then dumped the rest in the garbage diposal.

I was pretty pissed at myself. I had cravings all night and caved again with a skinny Cow candy bar and later with a Fiber One Brownie. So since they were both diet I did not go over calories but still not the right foods to eat.

This morning I am .4 over LDW, so not too bad. I can still show a gain tomorrow so I am having a "chicken day". I planned for it since I cheated so I am going ahead with it. I might add some veggies this evening if I can not stand it...but I love fatty chicken so shouldnt be a problem. I have Chicken Wings / Thighs defrosting. This morning it was still frozen and I was hungry so I just had some Tyson Chicken Tenders (all breast meat tenderloins, non breaded and 2 gr fat...so I "fried" in cocnut oil and cyanne pepper...OMG THAT is what I should be eating more of...so yummie)

I also had planned on a detox bath just because of how good my skin feels with it...but I went a little too hard on the skin brushing and shaved my legs...and now my psoriasis (sp) is all irritated. IDK if I have let it "heal" long enough to get in a tub of salts and baking soda. Might burn?

Have a great day.

Tiff

Cycled Back to Phase 2

I maintained my LDW for about 10 days in Phase 3 and then cycled back to Phase 2 after a day of loading. The loading was awful. I did not want to add any sugar products and wasn't going to eat bacon grease(!!) so I focused on heavy cream and cheese. Well, I learned my body no longer tolerates dairy very well or at least in that quantity. Diarrhea central most of the day!!! Then, upset stomach and acid reflux. Ugh!

Gained 1.8 pounds loading. Now that's gone. Down 2.2 pounds.

I am going to do a short round this time . . . unlike the 50 days I did before. Round 2, here we come. I'm getting smaller every day . . . long way to go.

Check in

Have to read to catch up on everyone. Been away a couple days. Sassine, that is So what I want to do. I just want to get P3 over with and jump right back on P2. But I'm just going to take it one step at a time.

I broke a tooth several days ago. Been working out insurance and the like and hopefully will get it fixed tomorrow. Didn't eat too much last couple of days and dropped 2lbs. Good...but I'm not eating...ouch.

I stopped my hhcg last night and I'm having eggs cooked in coconut oil on Sat morning...woohoo...But will I WANT the eggs cooked in coconut oil on Sat morning.

I've been reading induction phase recipes on Linda's site and, well...make up a quiche and a couple yummy dishes and get through the week well fed!

I'm also looking at recipe's on Maria's site! Fantastic.

Low Carb eating is going to be great! yay

Hope everyone is having a fun holiday season so far.

My very first day of my very first P3, I had two eggs over medium fried in butter (2T), two sausages, a whole large avocado and a whole tomato for breakfast. OMG was it good!

Is it normal to feel nausiated? (sp).. For the past 2 days and today I just feel pukey... I don't know if it's because my stomach is so empty or the hHcg drops.

Just wondering if anyone else has felt this way?

Down 1.2 after getting back to VLCD. I've really been enjoying those recipes I posted above - usually chicken soup for lunch and chicken cacciatore for dinner...yum! I know it may sound nerdy but I rediscovered the library this morning! I hadn't been since I was a kid and it seems like it may actually be a fun thing I can go do with my daughter for free instead of using eating for entertainment like I usually would.

I have been avoiding coming here because I not only seem to have stalled, but I had a very bad day food wise on Saturday. My family got together for Christmas since we will be out of town, and I gave in. I'm really upset with myself and I paid dearly for it that night with my gallbladder. I also missed an HCG dosage that day. I'm really disappointed in myself and getting a little teary about the whole thing. I really wanted to be at 330 by Christmas I'm usually very good about not going off plan. When I commit to something like this way of eating I am usually ALL IN, 100%, no waivering. I am just not sure why I did it other than I was already upset about the scale not continuing to go down. Anyhow, I'm going to post my weights. Saturday is the only day I have been off protocol. Not sure if I should do an apple day, or what at this point. I'm just wanting the scale to move again.

12/11 340
12/12 341.4
12/13 339.0
12/14 339.8
12/15 338.0
12/16 338.2
12/17 337.8 Off Protocol day
12/18 338.8
12/19 338.0

I guess overall I'm down 2 pounds in 8 days, but I am really not happy with that. I was averaging over a pound a day.

Ok...ready for my attitude adjustment

Well, haven't weighed yet this morning. I have been up all night with my daughter. She is a diabetic and she has ketones and is pretty sick. I think I literally slept about an hour last night. I'm sure my weight is going to suffer, but, that's too bad. She comes first. I think I will try to take a nap and weigh when I get up around 9ish. Not going to be a fun day since I still have to do laundry, pack wrap presents and do a few errands before we leave for Tennessee tomorrow. Pray for me!
