I have moved my doses a little closer to each other and that has helped with hunger A LOT!! I am having a hard time figuring what i want to eat because I am not hungry. Crazy how this all works, but I am not complaining. Still hoping to get in the 130s by Christmas which is a good 17 days away. So that is only 6lbs in those days, but I will have TOM and teeth done in that time. We'll see!

Nice losses Hexa and Violet! Glad to see things are goind down! And glad you are keeping Melonie in check! THe shake sounds great. I may have to do one here, but I have never tried as hot chocolate, Mini. That sounds super tasty!

Big to all of you! Love having you all to chat with and for super support! I don't think my RL friends get all this. So I am thankful for each of you!
It feels great to have such big drops doesn't it? Great job, you. I am sorry to hear about your teeth. I am sure they will give you some pain medication that will knock you out You will be fine. Are you going to get your teeth done in a hospital setting or local office. Please make sure someone goes with you so they will know they are being watched

How are things progressing with the adoption?

Best of luck on this new round, Hexa! Nice drop and hope you have many more like that one in store for you.
Thanks Cheryl. It is a really short round and I am hoping for a miracle with a 6 pound loss with the remainder of the 11 days. If I can just get that done I will be in my 140's and this will be virgin terrority for me. I just can't wait. I am super excited.

Tomorrow will be a little of the same I think. I feel much better now and hope this continues. I really hope to be in my skinny jeans by Christmas, but that means about 8 pounds, which is a lot for someone my size. I'm going to work my hardest though and try them on everyday as a reminder of where I want to be!

Ill try for personals later. I'm reading and cheering everyone on
I'm glad you listened to your body and gave it something it needed. You'll still get the benefit you were striving for. Headaches and 6 kids are incompatible! I like your idea of trying on your skinny jeans each day to see if they are closer to being on. I think I'll do that, too!

YUP! Torani makes SF syrups like that too, but I've only ever tried the DaVinci. Made with liquid splenda so even if you are on Atkins, you have no carbs to count (powdered splenda has one carb per pack, liquid splend= nada.) If you are planning on ordering any through Netrition, it may be too late. They won't ship them in the winter due to freezing.

VT !! It's been since September 2nd since I was in VT. I really miss that feeling of being somewhere that I haven't been since 1998. I'm getting back there, though! And then I'm blowing that number out of the water, too.

I agree with you about Mini. I miss the exercising fool she once was! She'll be back!!

Oh Cheryl, he's beautiful!! (or she)!!

Still fighting the cold, up a lb., but it might be from the extra salt I've used since I can't taste my food!! I'll leave my stats the same until tomorrow, to wait and see. I hate that this cold is hanging on!! But, I'm wearing my "big" jeans with no muffin top, so I'm happy! I bought them for Thanksgiving, and could barely breathe, and they cut into me so bad I had a rash.

I'm glad those jeans are fitting so much better! Sorry you're still so sick. Please get well soon! Take good care of yourself. Be your own Mother, IYKWIM.

I found the picture while googling. No idea if it's a boy or girl, either. I just loved it and it is perfect as my wallpaper. I love it mostly because that's how I'm going to be getting to know the horses at the farm in the next few months: In Snow and Ice!

Hi All,

Down to 186 today, on the official scale. It was 187.5 at home this AM. They aren't usually that off, but I'll take it and run! This is new ground for me (pre Thanksgiving I was 186.5).

Now to make the hunger GO AWAY! grrrrr.

Congrats, Pugswin! Hope the hunger becomes intermittent, at least. Does it ever go away or is it constant? UGH!

Cheryl, love the new avitar, reminds me of one of our horses, named Cloud.
I noticed minimo said she decreased her dose to combate hunger, could that be my problem? I switched from liquid to pellets around the same time as thanksgiving too.

also, on a birghter note I bought some Size 14 jeans last night, haven't tried them on yet.. but my size 18s I'm wearing today are so baggy they fall off me without a belt.
I've been wearing the heck out of my size 16 jeans (washing them about four times a week, only have one pair) so I thought I'd just go get the 14Ls and then have two.

Exercise

For all those who are into building I was reading the exercise thread, mini you introduced me to it, and there is an intra-workout amino acid that Twayla recommended called X-tend. Netrition sells it. I brought it to use on P2 since I weight train and don't want to lose any muscle. I will let you know how it affects P2 and the training results.

Stephanie, I forgot to say that I see how close we are in our stats and our goal. RACE YA!

You're on! Now my friend says she's 5 pounds less than she was after her second loading day. I emphasized that she should not eat out and she talked about going to Subway to get a lettuce wrap. Cheryl, I love that beautiful horse and I see we have the same goal, but a difference of 6" in height (I'm 5'10"). Rock on!

Thanks! I love it, too. It reminds me of the one "pony" I met at the farm so far. She's just under the height limit for a horse so she got screwed, but she's beautiful. I believe her name is Daphne. I don't know why, but Gwenevere keeps coming into my head.

WTG on the smaller jeans! That's always a wonderful feeling. I just bought a couple new PJ's tonight and when I got home, I put my "medium" night gown on. It's tight in the upper arms, but my arms are genetically pathetic. I look forward to having more room in these sleeves in the next few weeks.

Mini did decrease her dose and I think Paula is very sensitive of the dosages and needs to "titrate" but I never needed to. Try it and see! How much and how often are you taking it now?

That's too bad. I know some of them do come in plastic bottles. I don't know why they won't tell you which ones are available in plastic for the winter. Seems like they would have worked out this "kink" by now, huh!

Some stores sell Torani or DaVinci close to home, but no stores that I know of do. Call around and see if there's anything local. Worth a shot!

I'm back from having my eye exam. Only my 3rd one (probably in my entire life.) I'm getting reading glasses. I can't believe how expensive the exam, frames and lenses are. I went with the cheapo plastic lenses but they were trying to get me to upgrade at every turn. I had to draw the line somewhere. So I'll buy a good case for them and a strap to keep them around my neck, and hope for the best. $193 was the total damage. I got the script so many I'll shop around for another cheaper pain online.

Hope all is well with all you lovely ladies! It's cold here tonight. I couldn't get my windows to defog in the car all the way home. Kept opening windows to get them to clear. No clue why. Nice to be home and in my PJ's.

You're 5'10"? Wow! I set my goal at 140 because it's been SOOO LONG since I was at a healthy weight, I'm not sure where I should be. I think I was 140 when I got married but I'm not even sure. I read where people know how much they weighed in jr high, high school, college, etc. I guess I smoked too much weed! I don't remember much of anything.

I hope your friend straightens up and flies right! Only a 5 lb loss in 10 days isn't all that great, especially considering she has 50 lbs to lose. She might have lost twice that amount had she behaved. Oh, well. It's up to each of us to make the right choices, or live with the consequences.

Yep, I'm 5'10" and tower over my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. My husband is 6'0" and our son is catching up with me quick! He's about 5'2" and is growing fast! I've always been thin and have been 140 since I've been this height up until our son was born July, 1999. The weight range for my height is 129-174 so I'm within that range. For years, I wore mens' Levis' 501s 29"waist and 34" length. I have the best jeans I've ever owned now and they're Lee relaxed fit. They're so comfortable! I smoked too much of a lot of things (including weed).

Yes, I would like to see my friend whip herself into shape. Another co-worker that I mentioned on here before is also on a round (or was). She started, I checked in with her and she was doing okay, but I have no idea how she's doing now. She's the one I couldn't care less about, but I may ask her when I see her tomorrow. She has a lot more than 50 pounds to lose and doesn't look any different to me. Someone came to me and said she may have changed her mind.

Off to bed. Chat with you all in the morning.

Did I miss the syrups deadline? Darn! The site did have the plastic bottles marked when I last ordered actually -- so maybe I can still get those. Otherwise, they are available elsewhere online, but I prefer to support Netrition when I can, and they have a great deal on shipping, too.

Cheryl!!! Go to Zenni Optical (online)!! You can get an entire pair of glasses, including the lenses (single vision) for $6.95!!! I love them -- and they have thousands of frames to choose from .. many of them on the low end of the price range. I will never buy glasses retail again.

I am home and utterly exhausted but done with the semester! I will be working on my thesis over the break, and I still need to clean out my area in the sculpture studio, but the classes are done -- I really had my doubts about making it through this one with all the stresses I had going on.

Today was a relative breeze, hunger wise -- did my fat fast breakfast, and only now am starting to get truly hungry again... I am actually going to bed fairly early I think, meaning I can sleep off any hunger that crops up later tonight.

I'm still very much having TOM, so I won't be weighing tomorrow ... but I know I will before the end of the weekend -- even if TOM is not over. I want to know where I am, what is working, and where to go next.

I will be reading over everything I missed today, but probably too tired to post much at this point.

Good morning. Still not weighing so nothing much to report. I suspect I'm still up from my binge the other day but hopefully a few more clean days will get me down. I have 2 weeks goth lose as much as I can since I will be leaving for vacation then. I'll be thrilled with 5-6 pounds though am aiming for a bit more of course

Hope everyone has a good morning. Need me some coffee before I can read anymore!

I got some more new clothes last night (two sweaters and some new fleece pajama pants). I'm now weighing in just a t-shirt and my underwear because the pj bottoms weigh about .4!

Congratulations to everyone and make it a great day!

I'll do another try on of a couple pairs of goal jeans this weekend, along with getting on the scale ---- I love the inch loss part the very most.

We'll see!

Big to all of you! Love having you all to chat with and for super support! I don't think my RL friends get all this. So I am thankful for each of you!
Nice work!

Hope you feel better son

Now to make the hunger GO AWAY! grrrrr.
woot! Sorry about the hunger

Well yesterday was a struggle. 700 calories over my maintenance number PLUS bowel cramps from ovulation.

I'm up 3.2 pounds. I hate how bouncy my weight still is!

Plus we are having major plumbing issues, and the water will be turned off all day today. Picking up water after I drop the kids at school. We got one leaked repaired last night, and two more sprang up in their place.

Good Morning! R3VLCD13 and I'm down another .8! Almost out of the 160's. This is the lowest my weight has been since our son was born July, 1999!

I've applied for several positions in my company (that's the beauty of working for a huge company) that are not in leadership. Ironically enough, there is a position posted that I didn't apply for - with the same title as I have now. It reports to one of my former supervisors, but I really don't want to be in leadership at this time. I don't feel it's rewarding (particularly in my dysfunctional department), but AM always grateful to have a job with a great company.

Congratulations to all you wonderful friends and make it a great day!

How are things progressing with the adoption?
Thank you! I know I will be okay...it's really a mental thing isn't it? My dad will be with me so DH can save his time for Africa for the adoption. I will be in good hands.

As for the adoption, we are just waiting on the homestudy to get reviewes and submitted to our agency and then we will start applying for grants. And we will start filling out more paperwork for homeland security after Christmas. Hopfully we will be sending over our paperwork to Uganda by the end of February, but it most likely will be sooner! I am so excited!!

I am down another .5 this morning! So I have lost 10lbs in 22 days and that was with Turkey Day in the middle. I will take it! Really hoping to be in the 130s by Christmas. I really think I can do it!

Had Family Night at my girls' school last night. Ruby (my 5yo) sang Christmas carols and Geneveive (my 7yo) signed Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Her teacher is deaf in her left ear and is teaching them sign language. I think that is just so cool! She knows a lot of words and the Pledge of Allegiance. I am so proud of them both!

Today, I have about 15 dishes I need to paint, so I am going to do that so I can get them done before Monday. TGIF!!

I just went and picked up my produce from a produce co-op I am in. It is $20/week. This week I got, 3 heads of lettuce, 8 big roma tomatoes, 10 pears, 3 pomegranates, 6 ears corn, and about 4-5lbs of sweet potatoes!

I think that is a great deal for $20!! I just had to share b/c I was so excited!

I love fresh, local produce!

I am so picky about frames, Mini. I was going to take my script and go shop online but I finally noticed one frame that I liked a lot. So I just went for it. I'll buy another pair on that Zenni Optical, so I have a spare pair. If I like them (in comparison to the ones I got retail), I'll go with them from now on. I just need them NOW and the longer it takes me to pick out the frames and choose lenses and stuff, the longer I have to wait to be wearing them. I'm going blind rapidly! The computer screen is a blur to me now.

I should have noticed your height in your siggy. You have lots of information there but somehow I missed it! (See? Glasses.) Your son will probably be even taller than the two of you are. Generations seem to outgrow their parents.

WTG on the end of the semester, with all you've been going through! You did it! It will be interesting to see what the scale has to say when you finally feel it's a good day to weigh-in!

Hope everyone has a good morning. Need me some coffee before I can read anymore!
Where did you say you were going on vacation? I hope you reach your goal by then!

I'm so sorry to hear of your plumbing problems. I have drippy faucets but nothing needing a plumber (at least yet.) (Crosses fingers!) I hope they find the real problem. If new leaks are cropping up when one is fixed, maybe there is a pressure problem in the line or something. Keep us posted!

Nice drop! Sounds very promising about the other positions you applied for at work. I worked at one hospital that was like that. They'd post open positions internally and if no one applied for it inside, they would look outside the hospital to fill it. (It went solely by seniority.) They had a union so that's why it was nice in some ways.

Yippee!! Considering you had a feast in the middle, not too shabby! I hope you can reach your goal! Family Night sounds like it was fun. That's wonderful that the kids are learning Sign Language! I wish I knew that.

Sounds good! Pomegranates rock but I wish they were easier to open and access!
