Good Morning! Quick check-in. R3VLCD11 here and I'm down .2! One thing I'm changing up is not having P2 chili every day. I can do without the spices, even though it is .

Back to my old stand-by of a whole tomato, apple cider vinegar and 3.5 ounces of protein for lunch. It is so satisfying! I've also been having a 3.5 hamburger patty for dinner too and I'm switching that up as well. My dinnner is always two cups of raw spinach with vinegar and 3.5 ounces of protein. That's what I've done since I started this amazing journey on 6/10/11 and it's worked! Thank God for my wonderful husband who does all the cooking.

Have a wonderful day friends and I'll BBL.

Good morning!

I am back down .5 today! Still up 1lb from where I was, but I am glad the scale is heading back down.

Great job on the continued losses Violet! And also the compliments. Oh, it feels so good!

DP, I hope your fast goes well. I am pretty sure that I wouldn't be able to do it. I did the master cleanse for 6 days, but couldn't make it the last 4 days. I found out a few weeks later that I was preggo with DS.

Looks like a lot of us are dealing with TOM issues. Mine is not here yet, but my cramps and back pain are firing on all cylindars. This will go on for about a week before it shows. IT SUCKS!! Hoping we all feel better soon and that the scale will be kind to us.

Paula, I really hope you get under your 126.2 mark. You CAN do it!!

Hiya, Hexa!! How have your been??

I am not sure if I will be buying another bottle of pellets. I am just kinda using them to help me along with LC and so far, I believe it certainly helps. And money is so tight with Christmas and the adoption, even $30 is a lot to spend on something that is not a necessity.

I have piles of laundry to fold, kitchen to clean and many dishes to paint. I will come up for air a little later!

Down .5 today, and really feeling in the groove!!

DP, I wish you peace and comfort on your fast!! I've fasted "accidentally" in the past, but if I were to try to do it on purpose I think I'd freak!!

I have a couple of bottles of hhcg in reserve, but I'm thinking about a couple of bottles of pellets just for future use. If I recall correctly, they have a very long shelf life - any opinions about this?

My cold/allergy attack is just hanging on!! I have a box of new perfume samples that I'm not even opening, because my sniffer is out of commission!!

So, TOM is just as faint and skanty as you please! I'm wondering if this is the beginning of the end for me. I'm always read that women in perimenopause get heavier and heavier periods, but mine is barely spotting. No cramps at all!! In fact, the only thing that really happened was some breast tenderness a few days before. I should count my blessings...but it seems a little weird.

I haz a sad today: it's my brother's birthday, and we've not spoken since 5/1/11. I may have mentioned it at the time, but it's really all on him, he accused me of an atrocity and there's no way we can have a relationship with him believing I'd do such a thing. I believe he's paranoid schizophrenic, but, of course, I'm not a mental health pro, so it's just my best guess. Anyway, I'm sending him love and peace today, because he's my bro, but I won't be calling.

Thanks for reading ladies!! Wishing everyone a beautiful day!!

Morning ladies! I am rushing out but will check in later -- pulled an all nighter but the paper is finished... now I need to get to class and turn it in --

Ate a big breakfast and am hoping that is it for the day - if it is, then I might still be on target for at least a little loss by the weekend. If not, well, then I go stricter.

I'm thoroughly tanked this morning -- I suspect I will sleep this afternoon. All nighter's kill me unless I compensate very soon after the fact.

Hugs to all!

Tay, do you really know what KFC stands for? Kentucky Fat Chicken. I have not seen anything at KFC that anyone with a healthy eatting habit can safely eat. And I used to love it. I kid you not, about 8 months ago I went on a KFC binge and for an entire 2 weeks I ate KFC for lunch and loved it Of course when I tried to put on my pants and zip it up that was another whole stor I had to wear long shirts for a month until I could zip up my pants

Good afternoon. So far so good. I've been up since 5am and its now 1:30 and I have no hunger. I think all the food yesterday helped with that. So far I've had one cup of coffee and 1 liter of water. I'm working on my second liter, this one with lemon. Ideally I'd like to do this until Saturday dinner when me and Dh have a date. I don't know if I can hack it, but right now this feels easy. I also spent some time journaling this morning. I'm hoping this gives my mind some ease as well

Going to go catch up with everyone

I think it is better just to resume your plan the next day -- but that is just my opinion.

When I've fasted, it has usually been because I was doing a detox/cleanse -- and that is a different thing altogether. (The few times I've done them as compensation, they've just ended up feeling like self punishment, and that led to more guilt over eating... etc. )
I think I know exactly why she's doing the fast. She is having trouble resisting temptation. When I have been in a real "carb frenzy" and completely off-track of any weight loss plan, a fast day would always help me get back under control. I don't do two in a row, but one completely gets me back in control. It's like telling your body and your tastebuds and hunger, "Hey! You're not the boss of me!" And they all get the picture.

I actually am going to switch to the drops I have for the rest of the round I'm doing -- they work better on hunger than the pellets do for me.

I am also going to do a bigger order with more Da Vinci syrups (roommate and I are going through those pretty fast!) and am hoping I can get that in before it gets too cold to ship them .. but I don't have the time to spend on that tonight... so I just did the hcg at this point.
Guess it's better to be safe than sorry. I won't be ordering any more. I still have two bottles of unopened pellets and this is my last P2 round. If I take the pellets in the future, it might be more of an Atkins plan. Then I could just take them for a long time and not even feel like it was a "round." But I really want to get away from all this "dieting mentality" when I reach goal. I want to live a normal life, eating moderately and not always planning my day around what I'll be eating. No more "good or bad" foods. Just eat to fuel the body and stay away from trigger-foods.

Some of the DaVinci syrups come in a plastic bottle, so they wouldn't crack in winter shipping. I don't know why they all don't come in plastic bottles. Then they could ship them year round.

I did weigh this morning and I'm not even counting this weight. It's ridiculous!

So I'll probably be here for support later as I know this is hard, but wille worth it in the end

I hope everyone has a good intentional day
Will pray that you stay strong. If hunger strikes, drink! Water down those stomach acids.

It's easier than you think. Especially with the HCG in your system. (That is, if it's good hcg.) Oops! (On master cleanse and being pregnant.) Well, that means you were doing a natural HCG at that time! Your body was protecting your baby with HCG.

Hexa, where did you go? I forget who's missing sometimes until someone mentions them.

= Feeling in the groove! That feeling is priceless. I think the pellets do store better than the drops. Maybe you just need to keep the drops in the refrigerator. But they just seem too sensitive. I think some wrap them in foil to keep light out of them, etc.

Sorry you are feeling sick still. I hope you get better soon so you can sample those perfumes! Goodbye, TOM! Nice to know ya! Close the door on your way out.

I'm so sorry about the situation with your brother. If he really is paranoid schizophrenic, you won't be able to get through to him. I hope he gets help and gets on some good medication. Mental illness is such a nightmare for everyone. The person suffering from it and all those who love them. I hope he comes back around and you can mend your bridges.

You are so funny with your Rice Krispies! What's up with that? I can't believe you ate them all through P2 and now still eating them in P3. I guess rules don't apply to you. (Sorry.) Do you put milk in the cereal? The only time I eat rice krispies is each summer when we are camping. My sister always makes those rice krispie treats (with marshmallow fluff) and I have one (unless their all gone by the time I get there, which happens a lot! Bullet dodged.)

Enjoy your nap!

Are you out of your window? If so, do the CD today. Dr Simeon says that the longer you wait to do it, the less effect it will have. Sorry you have to do one.

As for me, I'm down 0.2 and that's fine. It's cold and rainy here and it's supposed to change over to snow tonight as the temps drop. We may get 1-3" but not much more. I have four days before the equine care workshop on Sunday. I will be working on the paperwork for that today. Time has really flown by! Seems like it wasn't long ago when I was telling people the workshop was going to be "one week from this coming Sunday." They are forecasting 32 degrees and sunny that day. Hope there's no wind! We will be outdoors for 2 hours and the sun will be setting almost half way through the class.

I remembered a little exercise gizmo I got a few years back from Freecycle. I never use it and it's in an upstairs room that was meant to be my gym. It's called a Body by Jake something or other and it's for working your hips and legs. It uses thick bands for resistence. Well, starting last night, I started working on my hips for flexibility and strenghening. I hope it loosens up my tendons so that riding is easier.

I need to go make a pot of coffee! Now I'm all caught up on my subscribed threads (at least I hope so!) I hope everyone has a lovely day today. If you're stalled, cheer up and maybe do an apple day. If you're losing and I didn't comment, I'm still in your corner! If you need some sleep, go tuck yourself in. And if you are sick, please get well soon!

I agree! I've eaten a lot of bad food for many, many years but it only took KFC to do-in my gallbladder! I ate a meal of chicken, bisquits, taters, gravy, etc and woke up with chest pain. It was very specific. I could put my finger on it. I told myself that if it didn't go away by "x" hour, I'd drive to the ER. I ended up going in and the palpated over my liver and for the first time I felt pain.

KFC is one place that I have just sworn-off. It truly is (I think) the least healthy food you can get at a drive-through.

Disney, that's a long time to fast. Why do it for so many days in a row? It's only Wednesday! What are you trying to achieve? Am I wrong about your objective? I know that the longer you fast, the more impact it has on your long-term metabolism. In the end, you may drop a few lbs but your body will be much more efficient at burning calories and you will have to eat less to maintain the same weight.

Please be careful!

nope, you were correct on my intentions. It has nothing to do with the weight loss. I've been doing a lot of reading about longer fasts and their benefits. If I decide to fast until Saturday it won't be water, I'd add in juices of some kind, probably vegetable. Thank you

"In" is in! Don't correct until you're out. I hope tomorrow brings you back a little lower on the scale.

Okay. I hope it all goes well for you, DP!

Hi All,

agghh, stress induced indulgence last night: carmel corn with nuts. Up 1.5 today .

I'm going to give it 7 more days, if I'm still above 186 I'm calling break time and take a three week break.

Cheyrl/DP I like that carb reset idea for a fast. Lord knows, indulging doesn't make it go away!

I stayed the same this am, I panicked when I read about the fda so bought 2 more bottles and 1 of the pellets. I hope to be able to get rest of the 20 off and some backup. My christmas wish for everyone is free medical insurance.

KFC is one place that I have just sworn-off. It truly is (I think) the least healthy food you can get at a drive-through.
Cheryl, wow!!! That bad, huh? Yes, if you watch one of the commericals they have, there is this one dish that is made of chicken, corn, cheese and bacon all in one bowl. Okay everyone.. stop salivating... Seriously, that is a interesting body reaction. So sad.

Good evening. Well I made it and do feel ok. Tired and I have a headache but that's to be expected. I'm going to try to continue my fast for one more day and then break it Friday with probably some raw veggies. I hope one more day leaves me with the peace of mind I'm looking for

Oops! Sounds yummy, though. Maybe you need a one-day fast, too! Sorry about the indiscretion being stress-induced. I hope things get better soon.

Terrible, tasty stuff indeed. I don't know which dish you are referring to. It must be something relatively new. I'm not even going to look it up! But I used to love those crispy, coated skins and the taters with gravy (they used to taste a lot better. Don't know if they changed or if I changed,) the biscuits, the cole slaw... too bad it's toxic!

We can make our own yummy dishes when we get to P3! I remember two Christmas's ago, I was on Atkins and I brought all my own food with me. What an ordeal! But I had mashed cauliflower with mayo, cream cheese, butter, etc. No matter how much stuff you add to mashed cauliflower, it still tastes like mashed cauliflower. And it has a grainy texture. Oh, well! Better than carrot sticks!

Yes we sure do! I asked my friend/co-worker about how much she's lost. I don't think she's weighing daily, is eating out after I told her not to and said she's been going up and down and this is R1VLCD9. There's a problem here. Should I have her start over?

When she told me this my thought was -

No. She's not ready for the commitment that HCG requires. Tell her to stop and just start again when she is able to do it properly. It's a waste of hcg this way, and who knows what she's doing to her metabolism?

Did she do any homework before starting to do this? Seems like she's just "winging it" and has no foundation of knowledge. Too bad.

She sounds like she is not satisfied with the protocol food. The OWL protocol does allow for more calories (700 instead of 500) and they allow the mixing of vegetables (which is great). I mix my vegetables and there is no backlash. I did not know this until I tried the OWL protocol. I also use PAM spray which has 0 fat and 0 calories. It sounds like she needs to learn how to add diversity to her menu and she is having a hard time adjusting. Unless she learns how to diversify her meals she will never be ready.

It will be helpful for her to weigh herself daily until she learns what impacts her negatively and what doesn't. I hope this helps.

Absolutely! How much does she need to lose? Maybe if she's that uncommitted and has a bunch to lose, see if she'd prefer doing Atkins and seeing how that works for her.
