Thanks Nola --
I am going to keep taking it until I drop these last few pounds, and I do seem to be faring a lot better after dropping the dosage from where it was -- maybe that shook up the equation enough. As for the fat fast-- I ususally eat one meal of full fat greek yogurt, coconut oil melted with splenda and unsweetened cocoa, and some kind of nut butter -- and that's it for the day, unless I add some full fat coconut milk to coffee or tea. Try it at your own risk... but it works for me. Essentially, any combination of foods is fine in my book as long as it is about 90% fat, and I keep it to 100 cals or so for the day. This is totally rogue, so there are no actual rules as to how to do it right.

Good morning. Date was very nice. We had a lovely dinner, I had a small salad, scallops, shrimp, and mixed vegetables and 2 glasses of wine. Weight is the same today so I think I did pretty well
I'm doing a low cal/low carb day today. I'm going off my drops on the 21st and moving to p3 on the 24th so I want as much off by then as I can. Taking Ds to see Santa again, hopefully it goes well! Going to go read back from last night ![]() |

Oh Paula!!!!!!!!!! HUGS!!!!!!!!! THAT JUST ISN"T FAIR!!! You must be so frustrated!!!! Stalls are so inexplicable sometimes -- I know this one all too well. I've stalled at 500 calories before... and even fasted and not dropped weight... so please don't let the frustration win. The body just has its own logic sometimes that does not obey the so-called laws of weight loss.
STILL --- AAAAAARGH! I feel your frustration and am joining in a distance tantrum with you!!!!! Good job with dinner, Disney -- glad you enjoyed it! I am off to weigh now myself -- feeling thinner in my body, and hope the scale concurs.... Last edited by minimonkey; 12-11-2011 at 09:01 AM.. |

Whoohoo Ladies -- I am at a new low for this round... 109.4!
I can really see some inch loss in the last few days, too! Almost enough to make me wonder if I might be happy stopping at 105.... but we'll see..... I still think I'll shoot for 100 so I have wiggle room ... but I am finally getting there Now, to keep that scale going the right direction, and not stalling out or bouncing back up... that's the key. It's fat again for me today I think -- if it is working, why mess with it.... |

Afternoon all!
So I obviously have a lot of catching up to do. Was out ALL day yesterday and then was painting some orders last night. And am going to finish those up here in a few. I didn't weigh yesterday or today, but I was really just busy and forgot. Am getting wisdom teeth out tomorrow. I think it will be a long week. TOM still isn't here, so that is good. Gonna go catch up on everything from the last 2 days.Hope you all have a great day and I will try to check-in in the morning and hopefully tomorrow night. |

Cheryl...my plan
Hey Cheryl!
I saw that you asked about my LC/Atkins/Hhcg plan. Well, I would do low carb without counting my cals or fat. BUT, I do have some idea of much I am eating. I wasn't very hungry on hcg, so I would say I probably ate no more than 1000-1200 cals a day. Fat was moderate, carbs were waaaaay low. My losses were about .5lb/day and that was with thanksgiving (2lb gain) thrown in the middle. It made it much easier for me to do. I know that I couldn't live in 500 cals. I don't think it is healthy or necessary. That is just my opinion though. My parents did 500 cals on strict protocol and my mom only lost 5 more lbs than me, but she is bigger than me. Hope that helps! |

yay for all losses!
paula, that is SO unfair! the scale can be SUCH a jerk. like it is to me today...up over my window. I did a body rolling workshop yesterday, so I think I broke up stuff and am retaining water, but what an awful shock. and I can't do a cd today, I have a birthday party for my great nephew (the cake turned out awesome!), and then a wedding to go to. this sucks! |

Thanks everyone I'm feeling better after going to church. Best guy in the church had a heart attack during services, so kind of puts my problems into perspective. I hope they take good care of him at the hospital - I know he had nitroglycerine and was already feeling better before the ambulance came. Hope it's not a huge deal.

hi everyone! Nice to read about you all. I'm still holding at 192. Seems I've settled there. I'm eating about 1300-1500 cals. Thats ok with me. I guess I'll throw in some more carbs and see what happens. I don't think I'll do well though. Carbs have never been my friend.
KUTGW everyone! BBL |

So, I think I'm going to do the LC plan on HCG this week and see how it goes. If I feel I'm not making the progress I think I deserve, I'll go back to grilled chicken (no skin) and steamed broccoli. I burned out on that really fast. And this time, I actually felt I had become Anorexic! My average daily intake of cals before yesterday were under 400. That's just not sustainable but I just didn't want to eat. I think if I can eat more fats, it will help me to up my daily calorie intake. I won't go anywhere near 1000. I still want to keep it low, just want the fat to be higher. Paula, ![]() ![]() !!! I know you don't want to hear it but I think it's high-time you ditched JUDDD. At least until you get to your goal. Think about it and maybe start a more strict plan of hcg after the holidays. Frustration just ain't cool. Mini, nice new low!!! Hope you are enjoying your fat fast day today. I'm glad you are seeing the results you want in inch loss, too. I am frozen to the bone after that equine care workshop but it was fun! There were 15 people, I'd say about 2/3 of us were new. They said most of our time would be spent outside but we were in a classroom for over an hour, going over their handout on what's normal for a horse, what's abnormal and how to tell the difference. Then (finally!) we got outside just about sunset and got to do some "hands on." I took a horses' temperature, held the horse steady while someone else took the temperature (poor horse got the raw end of the stick. Other horses only used to count respiration's and check for heart rate and bowel sounds. I felt bad for her.) Her name was Lola. She was also used for the demo on how to put a horse blanket on, but I don't think they use them much.I then volunteered to lead said thermometer horse back to her stall! "Walk on, Lola." The horses each have a "barn buddy" so to speak. They are put into stalls with the same horse all the time, for consistency. Big Red is with Daphne, Lola is with Calvin and Frodo is with Charmed. (It took me a while to remember their names but I did!) Charmed bites. He had a nasty past life. It was very cool (and very cold!) My cheeks were frozen by the time we were through. They are at the top of a hill and it was a crystal clear night. No greenhouse effect at all. Must have been in the 20's after the sun set. So I have homework! And one of the ladies is going to work on doing a mini orientation for a few of us who want to begin right away. So I still need to wait a week or so before I can begin volunteering. ![]() I hope everyone has a lovely Sunday evening! I'm staying close to my heating pad!

![]() The thought of doing 3 more hcg rounds to get to goal doesn't thrill me though. I have no idea how I'll ever get to goal. Today is not the day for me to decide...I have zero clarity. It will come sometime before New Year's though! |

Hello Friends!
R2VLCD15 and I'm down .2! The only rogue thing I've been doing is using Splenda in my tea at night and occasionally I have cream in my coffee. Yesterday, I had about 24 ounces of 2% milk and it was so ![]() so it makes sense why I didn't have a bm this morning, but I was still down .2.Normally, I have two bms every single day (even when I'm on a round) so I'm not concerned. I ordered some more clothes from JCPenney (am so glad they have tall sizes). I wear medium tops and got some more of those. So far today, I've been 100% protocol and plan to keep it that way. I was up until 1am this morning so I didn't get out of bed until almost 11:30am. Cheryl, you're right, the holidays do involve a lot of eating. We always go to my brother-in-law's and sit at the table for hours. When you all do a refeed day, do you eat whatever (within reason) or keep it to P3? I keep saying how I'm not going to have dessert, but want to enjoy myself too (not that I need carbs and sugar to do that) and expect to be up a little the next day. However, I know it will come right back off and I do have enough hhcg to complete my round. Have a wonderful evening everyone and congratulations to all of us. ![]()

Good evening
Violet- refeeds are actually high carb to reset your hormones. I know some here do load days to trick the metabolism. Nice job on staying in protocol! ![]() Fun Cheryl! It sounds like you are going to love it there! Good luck tomorrow Stacey! I'm having a "fat" day. I feel yuck and bloated. I think I'll stay off the scale for a few days. Tom is about 4-5 days away so that is probably the culprit Going to relax for a bit. Dh leaves for the week at 4am so I'm going to have a long week with no relief

No, three more rounds on hcg doesn't appeal to me, either. I hope you find something you can live with that will take off the last few lbs. Quote:
Actually, yesterday and today have turned into refeeds for me. I didn't eat anything at all until after 7pm tonight but then ate something I shouldn't have. I have this feeling like I've lost my momentum. I hope not. I hope I can get back in the saddle again. Sometimes I'm so in the groove and then other times I'm in a completely different groove (that heads in the wrong direction.) Right now I feel like there's no hurry and the temptation to eat and drink some things are outweighing the desire to reach goal. I hate when I get like this. But I'm enjoying eating freely! Just as much as I enjoy watching the scale move in the downward direction. It's all good. |

Cheryl -- very glad your stable adventure went well, and also that you are enjoying your refeed days (planned or not). You had such a great losing streak going -- I hope that resumes when you pick the dieting up again.
Paula -- good for putting things in perspective -- but wow, that has to be frustrating. I know I jump around a good bit on p3 at first, so maybe it is just a matter of getting stable for a bit, and then trying again? Star -- well, waaaaah! about the gain! That's no good... hope your correction day (or days) go well when you get a chance to do them. I had a totally uneventful fat fast day -- ate my breakfast, and haven't been much hungry since -- so that's encouraging. I'm going to drink tea tonight if I get hungry.. but so far, so good, and I am coming in around 1000 calories. Got a lot of running around done -- errands, grocery shopping, etc. I'm feeling somewhat on the mend with this bug ... it's more a flu than a cold I think... lots of aches and fatigue, sort of atypical cough and nasal stuff for a regular cold.... but feeling some better, so hoping that is on its way out. I'll definitely be adding in some protein this week -- I may do one more fat fast day, if the scale is nice to me tomorrow, but then I need to switch to a more regular fat/protein split for a few days. I'll just keep this up all the way to goal as long as losses continue... though I have to say, I am getting a little antsy to start eating more and a more varied menu... it is more worth it to make goal. |

Violet -- I've done low carb refeeds before -- essentially just a high calorie p3 day or two in the middle of a round -- there are different ways to go about that. Since refeeds/re-loads aren't protocol, it is just a matter of finding out what works for you.

Thanks Cheryl and mini. After the re-feed, I'm going back to 500-calorie protocol the next day. Is fasting necessary? Have either of you just gone back to P2 the next day? I expect to show a 3-5 pain water weight gain the next day and know it will come right back off. Go Cheryl! We can do this together!
![]() Also, I'm not going to stop taking my pellets for that day either. I'm going to treat it as a loading day (even though I will not be loading). I have my annual Christmas party that a friend of mine has this coming Saturday. She always serves dinner first, so I decided I'm going to show up after dinner is over for the gift exchange. ![]() Thanks! Last edited by Violet_Dream; 12-11-2011 at 07:15 PM.. |

I don't fast after refeeds -- I just go back on plan -- but sometimes the weight is hard to get off, at least for me. Other times it comes right off ...
The one time that it DID come right off, I was off pellets for two days first... I did my day, gained less than 2 lbs, and lost it again the next day. Everyone is different though. |

Thanks mini. Do you think I should do the 2 days of protocol w/o hhcg before the re-feed in that case? Will I mess up my metabolism if I do that?

No, you won't mess up your metabolism -- an interruption of that sort is allowed in the protocol. And yes, that is what I would do, based on my own experiences. Then, you can just start right up again without loading the next day.
I know others have done fine with taking the pellets and doing re-feeds, but personally I will not do that again. I've just found it too hard to get the weight off after the fact. |
