P3/P4: Pork rinds -- yay or nay?
Some people love these and some hate them. I know some use them just for breading, others eat them as snacks alone or with dips.
The only ones I've found (at the grocery store) have been nasty, with an off taste. Are there any good brands out there? I'm also intrigued by the microwave ones (Netrition has one brand, and I've seen others too). Any votes for best-tasting, either microwave or pre-made? |

I make my own using pork belly I get at Whole Foods...I just cube it up and let it soak in water over night, then I pan fry it...you can google up some recipes, just write "chicharron"
I season it with salt, cayenne, garlic...comes out really tasty and I know what's in it |

I just tried the microwave ones. They were sooooooooooo salty! And I like salt. The ones at the store I like the best are Mission or Baken-ets by Fito Lay They're very dry though. But with a little ranch dip there pretty palatable.
