Hello Ladies!
Well I'm down 2 lbs from the past three days! My last shot is this Friday and then followed by 3 VLCD days. I am praying I hit my goal of 30lbs this round by then- only 4.6 left to lose..just oh so close! So next Tuesday I start Phase 3, and I am kind of nervous about it - especially with Christmas and New Years lurking around the corner. I decided to go with the Atkins diet, based on the feedback from those who have been around the block with this already. Getting my shopping list ready for that and heading to the store over the weekend! I am excited to increase my food choices, though. I just have to ensure that they are wise choices. |

, Jessica! I'm so proud of you! WTG on having two concerts in the bag! One more to go and I know it will go perfectly. ![]() Quote:
![]() I hope you find some good, basic food at the Italian restaurant! What do you think you'll have? If they have a website, you can go and look their menu over ahead of time. Better to know what your options are before you get there. Quote:
I don't know if you've ever been to Linda Sue's website, but she has all LC recipes and the ones that are "Induction-friendly" (aka P3 friendly) are marked by an asterix. Here's the link: Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes - HomeIt's a challenge, getting through the holidays on a diet! But we will all do it. When you are thinking you are the only deprived one on the planet, remember we are all in this together. This is going to be my first family/holiday gathering in which I'm staying 100% on P2. I will be packing my food and drink and doing lots of dishes. ![]()

I'm in, Cheryl. Shooting for an end-of-TOM weigh in on Saturday I think... and will have today and tomorrow fat fasting before that happens.
I am ready to be red hot, even though it is icy-cold here at the moment (I'm whining... I am in California, and spoiled when it comes to weather.) Whatever the number on Sat., I am in that final stretch to goal... and I am seriously ready to step my game up and get this thing done! You are on the best roll ever! At this rate, you will beat me to the finish line, lol -- and I'd be delighted if that happened. If anyone ever deserved a blue ribbon for keeping up the good fight, it is you!

No way, but thanks for the sentiment! I have much farther to go and I'm sure (resigned to the fact) that I'm going to have at least one set-point per decade. I've had one in all the upper decades. This is going to be harder. I pray and hope not! But if it is as I suspect, I will just deal with it.
No matter how long it takes to reach goal, I'll be in VT very soon, and then VT every new step of the way! How can that be anything but exciting?!? (I just read the last line of your post and I am touched.) Love you, sweetie. ((((HUGS)))) |

Today is my last day of P3 and tomorrow starts P4. LDW was 168.0 and I was at 170.2 naked weigh in this morning. I'm having a mostly meat day.
I plan to fully enjoy P4, including tomorrow's visit to the Italian Restaurant, because I start another round day after Christmas. This is the type of restaurant you get to go to like once every 3 years on your birthday. Go Red Hots. |

ENJOY! You planned the phases just right, didn't you! I wish I had stuck to the plan I had originally. If I did, I'd have reached goal in September (at least by October) and enjoyed my first holiday season in eons at goal, eating as a normal person who exercises restraint. I have to "pay the piper!" But you enjoy your P4 and I'm sure you'll clean-up after Christmas. You're not far from goal now!
Please keep us posted on how your P4 is going for you. |

Hey friends. No news with me, except that I am grossly over-scheduled this week. Apologies for neglecting the Red Hots!
I'm stalled out at 157, but hoping any day now to be able to move on to my goal of 155. It's challenging right now--I'm eating almost no meals at home, and I'm sure that explains my inability to move forward. Hope everyone is doing well. I probably won't have time to get caught up with you until Monday, but I'm sending good thoughts your way! |

Good morning Ladies!
Well this morning was my last HCG shot!! It is bittersweet and scary...lol! I am down another couple pounds the past couple of days, so that make my total loss at 28.2 this round so far...I am just THIS close to hitting my goal of 30 this round and still have 3 days of VLCD to hopefully release those last 1.8lbs! I am the lowest weight I have been in 6 years!! WOW! That feels great to say! ![]() Last night we had our company Christmas party, and although I did eat slightly off protocol, I didn't have any bread, dessert, or anything from the open bar! lol! I was really wanting some wine, too!! But nothing taste as good a thin feels and I have a goal to hit. I was rewarded with a .8 lb loss this morning!! WOOOHOO!! ![]() My other thing was I bought some new clothes a couple weeks ago in a smaller size to keep me motivated to drop. Of course I tried them on when I got them so I could see how they fit, and they were snug. This morning I randomly tried a couple pieces back on and guess what?! They fit and not snug at all!! So into a new size, and I haven't seen a size 20 in years! I am really proud of myself and what i have accomplished! Have a great day! Trish |

WTG, Trish! I'm glad you were rewarded for your good behaviour. I'll bet you'll drop that last 1.8 over the next 3 VLCD's. I dropped more weight on those two days off pellets! It gave me a nice cushion to work with.
Woohooooo!!!! The pants are a sure sign of true success! I hope you continue to post here after your in maintenance! We can all learn and be encouraged by your wisdom and experiences! |

Welcome back! When do you plan to start? I hope you are stocked up with pellets or drops cause there's a link that's talking about the FDA pulling homeopathic hcg from the market. They've been talking about it for a long time but looks like it's really going down!

I am frozen to the bone after that equine care workshop but it was fun! There were 15 people, I'd say about 2/3 of us were new. They said most of our time would be spent outside but we were in a classroom for over an hour, going over their handout on what's normal for a horse, what's abnormal and how to tell the difference. Then (finally!) we got outside just about sunset and got to do some "hands on."
I took a horses' temperature, held the horse steady while someone else took the temperature (poor horse got the raw end of the stick. Other horses only used to count respiration's and check for heart rate and bowel sounds. I felt bad for her.) Her name was Lola. She was also used for the demo on how to put a horse blanket on, but I don't think they use them much. I then volunteered to lead said thermometer horse back to her stall! "Walk on, Lola." The horses each have a "barn buddy" so to speak. They are put into stalls with the same horse all the time, for consistency. Big Red is with Daphne, Lola is with Calvin and Frodo is with Charmed. (It took me a while to remember their names but I did!) Charmed bites. He had a nasty past life. It was very cool (and very cold!) My cheeks were frozen by the time we were through. They are at the top of a hill and it was a crystal clear night. No greenhouse effect at all. Must have been in the 20's after the sun set. So I have homework! And one of the ladies is going to work on doing a mini orientation for a few of us who want to begin right away. So I still need to wait a week or so before I can begin volunteering. I hope everyone has a lovely Sunday evening! I'm staying close to my heating pad! |

Cheryl, so VERY COOL that you are doing this! I am proud of you!
I know it's too late to wish Layla a happy trip, but then again--how can you go to Jamaica and NOT be happy?! It's one of the most beautiful places on earth. I totally pigged out a couple of times over the weekend, at parties, but am back on the straight and narrow today. I think I 'll be ok this holiday season--I'm learning that I can make exceptions for special occasions, but still get right back to it. Have a great evening, friends.

Hm...seems that the red hot girls have cooled to room temperature, at best!
![]() We know Layla is gone. Guess everyone else is just busy with holiday stuff. Frankly, I'm terrified NOT to post all the heck over LCF--keeps me focused, and keeps me from having a massive regain! (And yes, sadly, I do know this from experience. ) |

Yep. The Red Hots are all but extinguished now. I've tried to rekindle the fire but it's going the way of the dinosaur. The "Skinny for the Holidays" thread has also slowed down to a trickle. It's too bad cause, even if we aren't doing our best on-plan, we still need each other. I know! Just look at me!

I'm here, and I've been on fire this week! I'm only two pounds from my original goal, and seven pounds from the new, improved goal
![]() I actually think I am going to aim to maintain at 100 -- it isn't too low for my body type, and that is pretty clear to me at this point... so I plan to drop a couple of pounds below 100 and then move to p3 at that point, with a goal of maintaining 100 as my high weight. (Before anyone freaks, I am only 5 feet tall, with a skeleton like a bird!) I think my next "set point" isn't until about 95 lbs, if my memory serves me right... I maintained at that weight for quite a long time when I was in high school.... so hopefully these pounds just keep tumbling right off until I am ready to stop. In any case, I am in it for the duration, and I plan to spend next year happily at goal and getting fitter by the day! |

Ladies, ladies.....don't you know When you're red hot...you're red hot!!!! I've been here just lurking and reading all the wonderful successes for everyone on hcg. As Jess said it is miraculous!!!
I am in my last week of R2P4 and I am holding at 3.2 pounds under my LDW for this round. I'm a happy camper. I'm just amazed!!! In both rounds (starting on July 3) I have never had to do a correction day!!! I appreciate all of you putting up with my panics and my whining over the past months. It was truly your support and your inspiration that has helped me succeed!!! I have learned so much from all of you and I have tried to "play it forward" to others that I have been mentoring through their first rounds. My dh has just started in R1P3 this week. He lost 35 pounds in his first round. I am soooo proud of him. My dau-in-law has lost 28 pounds in the same period. They have done so beautifully. Wishing all of you a blessed day today. Betty |

I am still hanging around too!! I am trying to get back on. Had a good day of almost all fasting yesterday to gain control and went down 5.6 of water weight this morning, so hopefully I can keep up the "on track" at least until Christmas Eve... I will be no where near goal, but even close to where I was would be good at this point!!
Jess you are doing so wonderfully!!! Jealous!!! Cheryl, how are you doing today? Did you make it back on target yesterday? |

Hope you all are doing great and if I dont get a chance to pop in before Christmas, I hope you all have a fabulous holiday

I had a GREAT weigh-in this morning: down two pounds to 156.2, so I am ONE POUND from my revised and final goal of 155! I can hardly believe it.
I read with great envy and longing about those of you who are maintaining so easily. I'm really, REALLY crossing my fingers that this new goal weight will make an easier P3 than 165 did. As you may recall, I pretty much had to do a correction every second day for the entire 3 weeks. Ugh. THANKS, everyone, for checking in. I worry about you when I don't see you! |
