Good job Coco! Totally and utterly blew it today. Ended up shopping with a friend far far longer than I planned, and we stopped to get something to eat. Well, it was a pizza place. Had two slices (the rectangle ones). That was all I ate today and is all I will eat today, but man it tasted really good. Will pay for this I am sure! |

Oh, Petchie -- I'm sorry that happened to you, but glad you enjoyed the pizza!
I was successful with the fat fast day -- stayed on plan -- and that feels good. I'll be weighing some time before the end of the weekend -- TOM should be winding down at that point. Plan is for another fat fast day tomorrow, and then a shift to high protein from there -- at least that is the working plan (everything is subject to change with me, lol!) Hope the scale is kind to all of you tomorrow |

No loss, no gain today. So I should consider myself lucky, lets see if it ups my weight tomorrow though. I will try and force the water today to flush it out.
Good job on the fast Mini. Heading out to get groceries today. then hopefully getting this house decorated for Christmas! |

-1. Lb today!! Yaaaay. (-12.6 lbs in 11 days)!!!!!
I had an "accidental" cheat this morn but was so small not sure if it counts. I am Not a morning person and keep late hrs but get up w my son every morn. I made him pancakes today and as I delivered the plate to him a drop got on my fingers. I was buzzing around half asleep and then it was as if I awoke standing up when I tasted the supersweet flavor on my lips!!! I didn't even realize I had done it. I washed my hands and rinsed my mouth immediately. Petchie, it's just a hiccup. Thank God for no gain!! I bet tomorrow it will flush itself out. Mini, what is a fat fast day? Also ty for signature info , think this I'd my 25th post so will chk after this 1 Last edited by cocomarie; 12-09-2011 at 06:27 AM.. |

Coco-- the fat fast is a rogue thing -- combining the Atkins Fat Fast(or a modified version of it) with hhcg. It is a day of 1000 calories or less where nearly all the calories come from fat -- the reasoning being that it forces the body into deep ketosis.
Some of us have had good results with it -- but it doesn't work for everyone. Nice drop today coco! And glad the pizza didn't hurt your progress, Petchie! I got on the scale today-- still up a bit from last week -- but also pretty sure TOM weight is still with me, so I am not worrying about it, and just moving forward from here.

coco, I have done the exact same thing, I'm cooking dinner for the family before I know it, I'm sampling, lol...never had any problems with it as it is a tiny amount and I have gotten better at reminding myself not to do it, lol, its a pain. It really also shows how fast those extra calories piled up. I probably sampled a 100 cals or more before I even at dinner at my old weight !!
Yay Petchie!! hopefully it will stay that way tomorrow as well mini, great attitude, move forward indeed. Well I broke my 5 day plateau (was at an old set weight) and I'm down 1.8 pounds yay!! ![]()

I'm at an old set point too, and I think that is part of why it is hard to blast through to the next stage -- hoping mine breaks soon ... I've been hammering at this one for a while.
On the plus side, I am starting to see some inch loss, I think. I don't measure, but my clothes feel looser. I did another fat-fast day today, and the plan is to actually fast tomorrow -- non-calorie liquids only -- unless my body really kicks up a fit over that. I think it will be fine. I used to be a regular faster (not for weight loss, but for other benefits) and I got very accustomed to doing it. Lately, though, I've found it harder to harness that frame of mind... but it is a good stall breaker sometimes, and is also not a bad thing to do when one is sick... I've got a nasty cold at the moment, which isn't helping the scale. |

-1.2 Today!!! Unreal !!! - 13.8 in 12 days
![]() Lyn, that's great! So u did stop when u hit the 34 lbs. I was wondering/hoping will lose 34 b4 the 40 days and wasnt sure if people stop like advised or continue on to the 40 days. mini, how tall are you? I am wondering if you may be at your goal weight already ? 110 seems very low (esp to me! lol) so thinking that may b why having trouble going lower. how did u come to the 100lb goal ? |

Coco-- Nice loss! You are totally rocking this round -- you go!!!
I'm actually down 1.4 today myself, and feeling quite happy about that. That was TOM weight dropping off, but I'll still take it -- and I hope to see a new low in the next couple of days. I am barely 5 feet tall, if I stand up very straight, and I have a really small frame (size 4 rings are loose on my ring finger -- I need a sizer with them or they fall off). Given that, 100 is a totally reasonable goal for my size -- though I admit it is a little lower than my body likes to be, so I am struggling against that. At 100, I am well within the normal BMI range, etc. Part of the equation is that I am naturally quite muscular, and that adds scale weight -- but on a tiny frame, it also makes me feel bulky if I am carrying even a few extra lbs. |

I'm doing another fat-fast day today, rather than going in for the full fast, since the weight is coming off now.
No need to force things needlessly -- I want to protect my metabolism as much as I can -- and my body seems to really like the fat fast, more than any other variant I've tried with this protocol. I might be willing to jump ship at 105, depending on the inch loss I get between now and then... I was pretty satisfied at 105 last time, but I want a little wiggle room in maintenance, and I want room to bulk up a little bit when I start weight training again. |

coco, I just stopped because I was starting to get hungry more often, starting to get a little light headed and my weight was bouncing around the same weight for a few days, I felt my body was telling me it was time to stop. I had originally planned to do 40 days, but I ultimately decided that more short rounds were going to be a better fit for for me than fewer longer rounds.
I did three weeks of p3, stabalized great, one week of p4 and then decided to cut that short and do a short round before Christmas since I'm on hHCG. Mini, I am a firm believer your body knows when you have finished. Try as I might, I can never stay below 130 pounds...I have to starve myself to stay in the 120's, this is when I was younger, but I'm sure I will have something similar when I get to goal. I know, and I grapple with whether or not it is worth it to struggle to stay at a lower weight than my body prefers -- but having thought it out, I think it is, at this point in my life.
Those last 5-10 lbs make a dramatic difference on my frame, and the payoff in higher self confidence is worth the struggle it may take to maintain the losses -- that's an individual choice I am making, and it certainly does not apply to everyone. I am hoping my body eventually adapts and sets a new set point, adjusts my appetite, etc. to maintain at my goal weight ... I suspect it will, but it may take a while for that to happen. At least for now, I am striving to reach and maintain 100 lbs, though.... and if I have to do eighteen thousand correction days to stay there, I am willing to do it. If it turns out to be a nightmare long term, I will re-evaluate my priorities. |

As they say Mini, where theres a will theres a way, and you certainly have the will!! Your going to do just fine, having a smaller frame every pound does make a noticeable differance that is for sure.
My frame is larger and 5 pounds loss or gain does not make a significant difference on me like I'm sure it does you. It takes a good 20 pounds for me to drop a size, it is a blessing and a curse as weight can creep up on me and before I have even gone up a size I'm +15 pounds , but it is a blessing as 175 pounds typically gets me into a size 10 and looking fairly fit. |

Yeah, Lynai, you're right.... 5 lbs is a whole size of difference for me. Like you said, a blessing and a curse.

Mini, that makes sense. You'll get there
Thnks, lyn. I am losing at a great so am thinking I may hit the 34 b4 the 40days. Im sure it will slow down though but enjoying it while it lasts! I think will cut my Brk short too. I want to get 2 full rounds in and a possible 3rd b4 June 2nd. The only way to do that Is to shorten the Brk. Oh and fiancé told me today he is back on. After a wk of cheating he is still down 17.5 lbs! Men!! |

Oh and dinner was tough tonight! My son and I love Chinese food! Every Sat night we have Chinese night. We skipped it for the 1st time last wkend but I felt bad cuz he was wanting it and our routine. It wasn't tough in the respect that I had no doubt I wouldn't touch a bite. It just smelled and looked soooo good and I was thinking I can't wait till my next loading day to have some lol
I had my version of taco salad. Seasoned beef w cucumbers. It was good enough |

Thanks mini ! Time is of the essence for me so I feel like I can't waste a day. Just when I think "ive got this" and not tempted I crave something ! I'm Greek and we love our food and moms house is always stocked to the brim. I went there today and brought my lunch which while supportive they all kind of scoffed at. I used to put feta on almost everything. (my fav tuna w lettuce and feta mmmm) anywho, can I have feta on maintenance? For just salad maybe ? Ok little early for maintenance talk but a girl can wish

Well, stuck at a setpoint I think, hoping to work my way through it. Have been at 181.8 for the last three days. Have considered an apple day, but not quite yet. Going to really up the water and see what that does.
Coco, great losses! I am envious! |

Petchie -- sorry you are stuck
I get stalls every single round, so I really know the feeling (mine have lasted weeks, though, so I hope that doesn't happen to you!!) Just keep doing it, and the weight will drop eventually. Coco -- oh, yum, feta! Yes, it should be fine in p3, though it is salty, so add it in slowly. Cheeses cause gains for some people, but nearly everyone is okay adding them back eventually. I broke through to a new low for this round!! 109.4 I'm sticking with the fat-fast for another day -- it's working, so why mess with a good thing? |

Awesome Mini!!! Happy for you
-1.2 again today!! -15lbs in 13 days ! This is the best diet everrrrrrr!!! Petchie, sorry about ur stall. I too am hoping to avoid "the apple day". I am thinking it's coming off me so quickly because I Put on 20 kbs over the summer as I was bed ridden w back pain. I am dreading the inevitable stall which could happen in about 5 lbs or so since that was my previous weight set point. Still just taking it 1 day at a time ! Oh and my mom is giving me sh@t because she saw the spokesPeople for the FDA hating on hcg. She is worried and I had to listen to it big time today damn FDA !Last edited by cocomarie; 12-11-2011 at 12:33 PM.. |

coco, THAT is the reason I have told no one what I am doing. As far as they are concerned I am watching calories ala Weight Watchers. My standard reples to food is:
Not worth the calories. Just ate before I came Not hungry and I only eat when hungry, not when the clock says to. Thanks, have developed a sensitvity to _____ but it looks delish. Do not need that s*&@ along with trying to VLC |

I haven't told a soul in my real life about hhcg -- though my roommate figured it out I think (and I know she has done it as well, along with every other OTC weight loss product ever invented) --
I said I was doing a detox diet too -- and also that I have food sensitivities, which is the honest truth... I'm gluten sensitive, and have a ton of other tested food allergies as well. As far as I am concerned, it is my business alone what I choose to eat or not eat. I hate it when people push food on others -- "no thanks" should be a completely sufficient reply when offered food, in my opinion. |

Coco -- your losses are simply amazing!!!!!!! WAY TO GO!!!
I had another fat-fast day -- stuck totally to my plan, and with very little hunger... so I am pleased. If the scale keeps moving, I will keep this up for now .. and then switch to a more regular rogue p2 when the losses stop. I will definitely need to add some protein in at some point, but want to milk the losing streak for all its worth. I'm getting mighty ready to be done with this p2 business -- rogue or not -- and move on to p3. |

Good rebuttals Petchie , I will have to start using them. I only told my mom and fiancé's mom. And 1girl at work. Well that 1 girl told a mutual friend and then on Friday the cat was out of the bag. The entire office now knows! But at least I found another girl that has been on it for a wk and I didn't even know. Plus the 2 I initially told ordered and started loading this wkend. The rest of the office thinks we're nuts. Oh well the #s don't lie .
And thanks again mini! Every morning b4 I step on the scale I close my eyes and hope for the best and then open them to disbelief! Followed by the happy dance and me running over to fiancé to report in. |
