Awesome on the treadmill -- and wonderful pics of the dog, Cheryl!

You are absolutely nailing maintenance Star! So proud of you!

I gave in to the need for a little more food -- I may regret it in the morning, but since it is a high fat day, I may just be able to get away with it ... lol ...one can always hope! I'm pretty sure I am PMSy anyhow, so losses are a bit of a wash right now...

I'll go stricter tomorrow...but today I just needed the little extra boost. I'm probably coming in at around 1200-1300 cals... not a disaster, but not quite the low I had hoped for either.

New here. I am on round 2. First round was late August through early October- lost 25lbs! Then I had to take a 2 week break. That was terrible, they jsut said to increase my calories by 100 every day until I reached 1200. Well, I just ate, but only gained like 4 lbs. Then we had a stomach virus at my house, so I lost 6 lbs, did not take my shots and did not eat the diet food.
Clinic was closed Thanksgiving week, so I officially started Round 2 this past week.
I am not doing well at all. I just can not go back to eating the gross foods.
I want to go rouge and try for a week or so. I pay $60 a week for my shots and so you can see that this is not something I want to mess up.

So here is my plan for the week:
B'fast- apple or watermelon
Lunch- salad with sprinkle of cheese, egg white, chicken, light ranch dressing
Dinner-chicken thigh or fish/shrimp/scallops, green beans or broccoli.
Dessert- SF jello or SF fudge pop

I am supposed to eat between 500-600 calories and I am not sure if I am in that range or not. I am struggling with B'fast and lunch, dinner not so much.
My problems are:
I would rather had a scrambled egg(s) and bacon for bfast and I need a lunch I do not have to warm up because my lunch break is short.

I am hoping someone here can take a look at my post and tell me if I am anywhere close to getting this somewhat right.
Thank you for your help,
Jen

Jen -- there are no rules for doing rogue correctly -- it is just a matter of trying different things and seeing what works for you. We all go about this differently.

Good luck with your round, and I hope it is very successful!

I totally caved to hunger and think I have likely blown any chances for a loss today --

It isn't a terribly big deal, honestly -- I will be up late writing anyhow, and I think I will just skip weighing in tomorrow since I likely won't get a lot of sleep -- and then it is back on plan tomorrow hard core. I will call today a metabolism booster, and let it go.

This really must be PMS... I'm hungry and run down today ... and the stress of having a lot of due dates is wearing on me.

Of course, there's also the fact that I have been doing this forever now, and I am just weary of it... and discouraged by the jump up on the scale.....etc.

Moving along... but if I don't post a weight tomorrow morning, don't be surprised. I may, or I may not... we'll see.

Thanks, Lynne! Yep! She'll use it more often than I will, but I'm going to really try to make it a routine. I have to improve my cardiovascular fitness. I've got one foot in the grave and another on a banana peal.

Yep, that's Sissy (aka Cisco.) Cathy, since you use your TM a lot, can you give me some tips on what needs to be done as far as maintenance? Like oiling or tightening of the belt? It seems to make a noise that sounds like it needs a little grease somewhere.

Jen! Well, if you're a rogue (not rouge; common and funny mistake), there is no real "right and wrong." I think your plan could work but if you can, skip the b-fast. Simeon's protocol says not to eat before noon unless it's some fruit or coffee or something like that. You said you struggle with b-fast. Does that mean you really don't want to eat it? Then, problem solved!

Something that I used to eat sometimes are cocktail shrimp (well, the larger cooked shrimp you buy in the freezer section.) I'd make cocktail sauce using Heinz LC Ketchup (can be purchased at Netrition and tastes like the real thing) and some regular horseradish mixed in. That would be good for your lunches (a non-heat-up one.)

Walden Farms stuff is pretty good and I really like I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray (though hate the name.) I really like the WF BBQ sauce. Chipotle Ranch is good on salads. I haven't tried as many as I bought but that should get you started.

Sorry you had such a rough patch! But you're back in the saddle now and that's what counts. Hope you stick around!

Do you think the hunger is just from PMS? Seems like you report feeling hungry pretty often. I could not do this plan if I struggled with hunger. I'm very pleased with my pellets. Do you think you need to adjust your dose? Are you on drops now or pellets? I think you used to say that your hunger was better-controlled on the drops.

I hope you have a good night. Get your writing done and over with if you can.

I'll be writing all week, but I do hope to have this course paper done today -- the other thing I am working on is a thesis draft that is far from finished, but I need to have something in by the end of the week.

I'm on pellets right now -- I do still have a little left of the drops, but I have a ton of the pellets left. I've tweaked around with the dose quite a lot, but never have managed to find a true place where the hunger disappears. The drops do seem to control the hunger better, but I don't particularly want to buy any more.... I will finish what I have though.

I do think the hunger is generally much worse with PMS... I get it intermittently anyhow, but PMS kicks it up a notch. Today was part physical hunger, part cravings, and part... something else.... maybe frustration, maybe fatigue... who knows.

I did fight the urge to do an all-out refeed, and am just moving forward and drinking tea ... I've had higher calorie high-fat days before that have actually resulted in losses, so it may be okay. At the very least it shouldn't be disastrous ... and if I really am PMSing, the scale might be all over the place for a few days anyhow.

Part of me wants to take a break from this p2, part of me wants to stick it out... and all of me needs to get my arse in gear and get writing again... so I am going back to my tea and my paper.

Hi! I had so much reading to do! I was up .3 today but I expected it after yesterday (what a bad day!) and I didnt go to sleep til 3 A.M. and back up at 9. Not so good for showing a loss. So I hope tomorrow will be better.
I ate steak for dinner, apple for lunch. Thats it. Just not hungry today. I'm getting some baked chicken frm giant eagle tomorrow. I can eat a drumstick and thigh and still lose. I like that! LOL
Watched my Steeler game. They clobbered Cincinnati 35-7! Sorry, but I am a huge Steeler fan! Game day here in my home is BIG! They play again Thursday!
BBL!
Oh....Hi Jen! WELCOME! I just do the "try it and see" approach. I always try new things to eat. I can eat a candy bar twice a week & lose! I can eat a slice of bacon and 3 whole eggs and lose. Just try different things and see what works for you. Good luck!

Good evening. It's been a good day. I started it off with a 4 and a half mile run, took Kyle to the library, went grocery shopping, got my work done, them ended the day putting up the tree and decorating it with my boys

Felt great during my run and have had tons of energy and no hunger today. We went to Wendy's for lunch and I got a grilled chicken salad. I had a little Cesar dressing in it. Then had a little ground beef for dinner. So today Im a little higher fat, we'll see where my losses are tomorrow.

Treadmill looks great cheryl! Enjoy it

Mini- I agree with Cheryl, you've had some pretty high hunger days with the hHCG. Something must be off. The only times I ever find myself hungry is first thing in the morning. It always goes away with my coffee. I'd think either your dosing is off, or your body is tired of dieting. You've been at this a LONG time now

Nice job star!!

ggg. We all do something a little different here. I usually have a little fat daily, but my diet is still low fat regardless. I pay around a lot but generally stick to mostly protein and veggies.

Cheryl,
I do oil mine about once every 3-6 months. You can buy it at alot of places, its a like a "slide" that you put oil on and slip it under the belt. As for the tightening, it should not have too much slack, and if it has too much, there are usually bolts right at the end of the TM (mine are on both sides of the belt on the end) and you turn 1/4 turns same direction on both sides to tighten/loosen. Need to figure out which way is which for yours, (maybe look up an online manual to explain this better or show you how). This is what you do if its slipping or too tight, or too loose... and then maintenance with oil. A manual would probably show you the oil kit too!! Cisco looks like she will enjoy it too!!

Woooohooooo......149.6!!!!!! Just in time cause yesterday was the last of my drops, measured it out this morning and didn't have enough to do another day, which is good cause I am really starting to get hungry these last few days. 2 more vlcd's and on to phase 3!! Of course now I'm thinking 10 more lbs would be ideal, but I need to stabilize for my cruise, so maybe another round when I get back the end of January.

Mini....I feel you, I think TOM is near for me too, and boy have I been craving bread. And just plain tummy growling hungry.

Like everyone else I'm petrified of P3, but hopefully since I lost soooooo slow this time it will be easier.

Good luck all, I will continue reading on everyone's progress, cause I don't want to move to a new thread!!!!

Good Evening Ladies! Back from my monthly massage and I needed to exchange some clothes (for larger sizes) that my husband got for our 12 year-old son yesterday. He looks like he's starting to get some weight issues and we are making some changes. He's a video-game kid and not very active, but we are changing stuff up. From now on, before he plays any games, he needs to walk on the treadmill for one hour. I thought we could start with thirty minutes, but my husband said we should start with one hour and work from there.

Cheryl, congratulations on your treadmill. I love mine and am the only one who uses it. This is the second one I've had (the first one I wore out). When I was a stay-at-home mom for five years, I used to walk three miles a day/six days per week on it. We bought an elliptical too, but had to give it away because my feet would go numb after about twenty minutes on it. I was also a lot heavier, did all kinds of research and found out that there are others who have the same thing. I haven't exercised at all since starting this wonderful hcg journey this past June and will resume when I hit goal. I always feel better when I'm active.

Has anyone else experienced numbing feel while on the elliptical? Also, (I had asked this before)....for those of you who've done interruption days - how many of you keep taking hhcg? I am doing my first and only interruption day on Christmas Day and will take my pellets because the next day, I will continue resuming my round. Cheryl, I know you stated before that if it's only for one day - there's no point of stopping the pellets, correct?

I would go rogue and have some scrambled egg whites and turkey bacon if I wanted breakfast. For lunch, cottage cheese could be an option. And like you mentioned, salad. Any protein will work on a salad and you could dress with salsa for a taco flair.

To be honest when I had to take my lunch to work I just often ate a cold piece of fish. Not much creativity here.

No numbness, but it always irritates my SI joints...gives me pain that keeps on for days (sometimes weeks), so it's not a machine I ever use once I figured the connection out. Personally I stop drops during interruption, then resume them the night before I am restarting. Seems to be fine either way.

Violet -- my feet go numb on the elliptical -- this has happened for years, and it is only on the elliptical... weird, but I've heard of it happening to others too.

Yeah, I don't know what to say about the hunger, except that I've had it on all my rounds except the very first one. I actually got hungry on that one too, but only towards the end when I was very, very depleted. I know others struggle with this too -- but I think I just need to weather through it, and break plan occasionally if that is what it takes to finish my goal. I've even tried taking appetite suppressants -- they don't much help.

I definitely do better on higher fat days, particularly once I've gone into a deep state of ketosis. I suspect if I do a couple more of those, I'll be able to keep the calories down easily enough ... the days that are low fat and higher carb are pretty miserable for me. I can handle a few carbs if there is some fat along with them, but without it, I really don't do well.

We'll see how I fare in the next few days -- and I am just really hoping TOM gets here soon. I'll probably stay with the ketogenic plan this week, and just try to keep the calories under control ... I think that is the best option at this point. Once the stress of finishing the semester has ended... and once TOM has passed (assuming it really is on the way), I can make a decision where to go next.

So much to comment on but I told myself I was going to start easing off the posting around bedtime, hoping it will help me to wind down. But I will take notes of all your posts tomorrow and comment on the new thread.

I'm really going to miss this week's thread! Seems like it was a banner week for many of us. Let's make the next thread a banner week, too!

WOW!! I have missed a lot. Good, not great day for me. I too have been hungry today, mini. I think it is pms and I ALWAYS get hungry during that time. It will pass I am sure. I may or may not weigh tomorrow. I'll see when I wake up.

I have only been back in the dieting horse for 3 weeks and I am already tired of it! I think I just have so much going on and this is one more thing on my plate. I am going to push through and keep going though. Glad to have you all!

Cheryl - so happy about the treadmill! Looks GREAT!!

Sorry that I can't respond to everyone. There was a lot to read. to all the newbies. Be sure to find our thread for the new week. Glad you are here.

Hope everyone has a great night!

Okay -- it really was PMS... TOM just started. I will feel worlds better in a couple of days, and I will feel perfectly justified skipping the scale in the morning -- or not. I take the scale with a grain of salt when TOM is here.

The hunger of the past couple of days was very, very likely from that, too -- so I feel relieved and ready to move on to a fat fast day tomorrow.

thank you! I actually am going up to my calorie limit today, so we'll see how the scale reacts tomorrow. TOM-morrow, if my tracker app is accurate (and going by how weepy and unreasonable I am today, it is )!

I'm so exhausted today. I saw my friend's band play last night, and thanks to one of the other bands on the bill staying onstage for almost 30 extra minutes, like JERKS, he didn't go on until almost 130 am. so I didn't get to bed until 3. sheesh.
