That's awesome, Disney! WTG on that workout. And thanks about the treadmill! I just hope this isn't a con-job. I believe in full disclosure but many others do not.

Totally awesome about the treadmill, Cheryl, and I really hope that works out for you!
I think I am going to start using our elliptical very soon -- we have the darn thing, I may as well use it! I can tell that weight is dropping off already -- I've visited the loo a number of times today, and that is sure to make a difference -- and alcohol gains are almost always really temporary for me (assuming it is a one time indulgence and not a lifestyle!) I'm reminded why I've pretty much stopped drinking... I felt pretty ick this morning, and that wasn't even from very much alcohol -- I have no tolerance at all! I had about 2 and a half shots, over the course of like 4 hours, and it still gave me a morning after. I won't be doing that again any time soon .. though I am sure I will drink again at some point for some reason, I think I will keep it to one drink. I have to shift my obsessive energies from organizing to writing now -- which I am dreading, but will probably enjoy once I get rolling. I'm waiting to see what the scale says tomorrow, but my gut instinct is saying I might need to add back a bit of fat to my diet in order to keep the losses going... I seem to stall out badly when I do low fat for too long, and the hunger is also much worse. A little dietary fat goes a long way to keeping me satisfied -- so that is the plan unless I have a miracle whoosh in the morning If I do, I will keep doing what I am doing now.Eating is right on plan today -- assuming I don't eat again (I just finished lunch) I will come in right about 800 calories -- a good mix of protein and carbs (I had my fruit) -- and very little fat. Hoping that is all it will take to get rid of the gain, and then some... I want to be moving forward with this! Wishing you all a lovely and successful day

Interesting you gain when you drink mini. I usually am down the next day but see a gain the following day due to dehydration. Let's hope we both get some good wooshhes tomorrow!!
All I've eaten today is a small chicken salad with about a tbsp of light ranch. I should be good for dinner and a drink and come in at aout 800 calories or so. I don't know if I'll weight tomorrow since I'm eating out and did some weights today. If I'm not on later I hope everyone has a great night and wakes up to some nice losses.

I pretty much always see a gain if I drink, Disney -- my body hangs on to water like crazy, probably from the dehydration. It usually goes away very fast, as long as I am good the next day and keep hydrated.
I'm not nearly so hungry today, which is a blessing -- yesterday evening was miserable in that regard. I'm realizing that I am making peace with the fact that I will probably end up being a light eater in maintenance -- I'll do the p3 protocol and get the calories as high as I can to maintain, but if I want to stay at 100 lbs or thereabouts, I just won't need a lot of fuel to keep myself going -- even with workouts in the mix. As long as I can eat enough that I am not constantly hungry, I think I will be fine with that... I've gotten used to eating very little, and it isn't really a bad way to live. I just hope my appetite regulates to a level that is appropriate for maintenance. Yes, whooshes for both of us tomorrow, please... and for everyone else as well! We deserve extra whooshes as holiday gifts! |

Well I thought I would run out of drops by now but still have some left..so I will go until I run out...boy those 140's do not want to come my way. Stayed the same today on the scale, still feeling rather bloated tho. TOM was here the first day of starting HCG and lasted 2 full weeks ( not fun), so could visit again any time!
Mini...I feel kinda stalkerish with as many threads as I have read, but I'm so glad I did. Reading about all the different journeys has kept me motivated through all this. Quick question...has anyone heard how Dazy and Noah are doing? I think about them all the time and pray Noah is doing well and kicking this cancers a$$! |

They say that life-long low calorie diets increase life span. I think they are talking about 1200 cals or so, depending on whether male or female. It kind of makes sense becaust it seems like the elderly really don't eat much. They don't need it. Maybe over all those years, the thrill is gone about many things, including food.
Mini, is your elliptical a manual one? I do so much better on the gym-style ones that plug into the wall. The manual one I have is just a killer! That's why I could never get into it. I was thrilled to get it and now I'm thrilled to see it go. Takes up a huge amount of space, too. We shall see if they show up tomorrow and if they told me the truth about the treadmill being in good working order. Been burned before, many a time. At least I'm basically getting it for free! DP, I was always down the morning after drinking, too. Totally a dehydration thing. It would never stick. Mini, that wasn't much vodka to do that much of a bump, but you said that's typical for you. Maybe just save the drinking for when you go out with friends, like the time you went dancing and really "let your hair down."

I really believe you are going to have a nice whoosh and suddenly be in the 140's before those drops run out.
I haven't heard about Dazy in a while. I'm going to go do a search to see if she's been posting lately. I'm glad you brought them up. |

OMG, just ate so much food...not in my plan today. I was *so* hungry, still have the party to go to (and party food temptations).
I guess I should plan for that first CD on Monday. Yes, were is Carrie? Hope she's doing okay, and Noah! |

Dazy posted a couple of weeks ago.. Noah was doing well, but they were going in for another big chemo treatment. Sounds like they are both handling it as well as anyone possibly could, and the doctors were hopeful about the prognosis.
I know, Cheryl -- I really didn't drink much at all, relatively speaking ... but I do generally get a bump up if I drink at all. I decided to eat a little more yogurt, which probably brings my calorie count to about 1000 for the day -- that has actually been a good amount for me to lose on in past rounds, so we'll see where that gets me. Our elliptical runs on D batteries, weirdly enough -- it works fine. Paula -- maybe you won't need a correction day -- wait and see -- and I hope you enjoyed eating! |

Well, last I heard, that big treatment went extra smoothly. I PM'd her and asked her to let us know how they're all doing. I am worried now.
D batteries?? That's so funny! Any power-assist is much appreciated by me! My elliptical had a couple of AA's but just for the monitor. Paula, stop being naughty! ![]() Someone asked earlier about if we counted calories on our P2's. I do when I load the food info into ****** but the last few days I haven't bothered. I know how little food is allowed and what to eat and I've just been going with that. If things slow down drastically I'll be more careful. But I always keep a food journal (pen and paper) and even a journal on my computer. |

I know, such a naughty girl!
So dumb to just ruin my .6 loss that took me 4 weeks.I noticed that I'm having my tachycardia right now, and wonder if that's why I felt so hungry. I had WAY too much caffeine today, combined with unexpected and unwanted shopping trips. Sometimes I deal with stress with extra diet drinks...but that can definitely backfire! I hate shopping in crowds...I am so not a girly girl! Really annoyed at DS. Tells us Thursday he needs a tux shirt for Tuesday. Well, we just can't afford it right now. $50 at the only place we could find it within an hour's drive. And we had to spend $30 on new dress shoes. So he's going to have to go in a white button down, and I've ordered the right shirt online for half the cost. Won't arrive in time for Tuesday though. I still feel wonky, going to take some herbal tea now. Thankfully, have party and will destress, and both kids decided to spend the night elsewhere. ![]() ![]() ![]() No pics...DD gone already and DH hopeless. Hope everyone has a good night, and wish me luck at Bunko! ![]()

hi, my sweet friends.
it warms my heart to hear of you asking about my Noah. sorry to be quiet lately. just living life, i guess. ![]() things have been going really well. yesterday Noah had his easy chemo, checkup with dr coulter, & blood counts which were good. yesterday was treatment #11. because next Friday is #12 and a big treatment as well, dr coulter got him all set up for radiation to start. so today he also had CT scan of his chest...which was totally clear. we then went to the University of NE Medical Center to get an MRI of his pelvis and met dr chi lin, who will be Noah's radiology oncologist. again we were blessed with an excellent dr! he will need 5.5 wks of radiation, Monday thru Friday every week. it looks he will be getting radiation at the village pointe clinic which is way out in extreme west omaha. while this further to drive, we are thankful to be going out there as their machines are even more high tech which allows for greater accuracy of getting the radiation exactly where it needs to be which hopefully reduces side effects. soooo, that was noah's busy day yesterday. thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers. we need and feel each one! as for me...i am getting past my thanksgiving enjoyment of good food. i decided i will enjoy all good foods this holiday season and correct as needed afterward. tonight i am going to my annual "playgroup" mom's christmas party. even though all our kiddies are beyond playgroup age, we still maintain this tradition. it's one the highlights of my holiday season and i fully plan on enjoying all the good eats!! ![]() BIG, BIG to each of you ladies. know how very thankful i am for this amazing group of women. ![]() |

Excellent losses, Tay! How exciting!
I was a bit backed up in the Bernice department today too -- P2 can be a bear in that way. I find eating apples helps a lot with that, but I sometimes still need some additional help. Hope you are feeling much, much better very soon! |

Hi Everyone!
I met an amazing man last night. I feel like dancing. I'm trying to just enjoy this feeling since I'm sure it won't last. I visited a friend I haven't seen in a while and she asked me to be her maid of honor in Oct in Scotland. I'm just not a wedding person but I'm so happy she's happy. And it's her fiance's friend that I met. Totally unexpected. He's got amazing musical talents and is really shy. I always fall for the shy ones but they usually run away from me. We were all hanging out and the men were playing guitar and harmonica and then we were alone and he asked if he could kiss me! Totally unexpected. I guess he's not that shy! now, to wait for a phone call. (ha!) And he loves baseball, though we didn't talk about that, my friend said I knew you guys would hit it off, you both like baseball.. and I was amazed cause it didn't come up. How many days until spring training? oh and I was up 1.5 today, okay i drank beer last night.. LOVE beer but it is too fattening. off to dance around the house! (and do dishes)

Wanted to post before I read back. Went to dinner and was great! I ordered one chicken breast with a side salad. It had a little salsa and I had a little chipotle ranch dressing. I also had 1 rum and diet coke and 1 French frie! Yay! I might not weigh tomorrow. We'll see. I'd suspect it'd be up from sodium and my workout. I'll be happy if I'd weigh Monday and be down a pound

Thanks so much Dazy for replying back. I was reading all the posts from months back and followed yours and Noah's story, praying for you in Lurkville. Sound promising for his prognosis, good luck with you and yours.
Well I'm fixing Filet Mignon again for dinner, cause I always lose when I eat it, hoping that will put me where I want to be before the drops run out. Lady at the meat counter now knows me and just wraps up a 4 oz Filet when she sees me. Lol! Husbands company Christmas party is on the 10th, so I plan to have a glass or two of wine, I've done that twice and had no gains so I should be fine. This being Alaska they always have fresh seafood, too bad I don't like seafood. I love fish tho, halibut and salmon, we always catch alot of both in the summers so we have enough to last a long time. Anyway it will be nice to be social again, haven't socialized much since starting this diet, too many temptations!!!! |

Ladies, be prepared for another chatty night from me -- I'm writing tonight, and these periodic breaks are keeping me sane
Gremom -- I really hear you on the battle with the self over whether to eat -- I go through that from time to time too, and it can really be a struggle. I wish you didn't have to work so hard to drop the weight, too. (I wish the same thing about myself -- that first round seems so easy by comparison.... and it was!) TOM definitely makes it worse, too -- that is about the only time that I really have cravings. Stress makes it worse for me, too -- that's when I tend to get the most obsessive. Thankfully we have each other to bounce this stuff off of... I don't know what I'd do without that -- fill zillions of journal pages with ramblings to myself, I suppose, even more than I do now. I'm doing ok food-wise tonight ... I ate enough earlier that I am not hungry, and that is a real blessing. Don't know if it will impress the scale in the morning, but I guess we will see...it seems the general trend is that I lose better when I don't let myself get to the point of being miserably hungry, which tends to grind losses to a halt for me. |

Well, unfortunately I caved and had some tortilla chips. I actually feel a lot better. I hadn't eaten that much all day and I didn't realize how hungry I was. I am sure it will back fire on the scale tomorrow, but it was 1 snack and I will be back in order tomorrow. One day at a time!
