You bet! I'll post how it tasted the day after Thanksgiving when I'm back online. From the batter, it tasted good. Cheesecakes are not sugar intense like regular cakes...so there could also be baking differences with regular cakes.

Cheryl, I hope your DVD issue worked out already, but if it didn't, have you considered just transferring the tapes to dvds willy-nilly and then using your computer to reorganize them and transfer the neat & tidy version to dvds for giving? Just a thought, I don't know your exact situation.

Still fasting, had tea yesterday, may have some broth tonight, or tomorrow. I still can't decide what to do about the Thanksgiving dinners. I'm hosting one. I'm feeling so much better than a week ago, that I don't want to stop! But a week, and nearly 15 lbs seems like a good stopping place for the fasting. I don't know.

Thursday 295.2
Friday 291.6
Saturday 290.8
Sunday 287.8
Monday 284.4
Tuesday 283.0

On the domestic front, things aren't great. It's really affecting my attitude about men. I was in a parking lot and heard one lady say to the other, "My husband says he'll let me get a gym membership if I lose all the weight!" and all I could think was for her to hit the ratbastard with a shovel, then bury him deep. That'll get rid of some deadweight. I'm usually much sweeter than this, I promise. I've done some online research about his behaviors and after all this time and everything I've tried, it's not really ever going to change. I just want to save my kids at this point.

(and if my language was offensive, I apologize. I just couldn't think of another suitable word)

Hope the numbers are low for each of you this morning!!! You're incredible!!!!
Wow. I'm so sorry you are in such a situation in your home life. Been there, done that. A couple of times. That's why I am dedicated to living alone now! There are much worse things than being single. I will pray for you that things sort themselves out in your favor. Until then, please lean on us. We are all here for you.

In regard to the DVD issue, what you said is exactly what I've been struggling to accomplish. But even though I'm failing at it, I don't really mind giving everyone copies of all my videos. Most of the time, my videos are of family gathers so, aside from clips of Parakeets and an occasional moonlit night with low-flying clouds blowing past, it's all stuff that they all will find enjoyable. I'll just write a list of what videos are on what disc and put them in the proper order so people can skip to the things that interest them the most.

I am impressed with you ability to fast for a week and with your results, but you have to understand that some of that loss is definitely muscle mass. It's not worth it to continue to fast like that. You will end up with an even lower metabolism than you had before and that is not something you want to live with for the rest of you life. Please cease and desist! Eat some good protein. Swallow a few HB eggs and take a good assortment of vito's.

(That ratbastard stuff was very funny, btw!)

Disney! you are so close!! I think you can be at goal in a month! I can't wait until I am at that point! KUTGW!!

Mini-can't wait to see your hair today! I am so bored with mine, I don't know what to do. I want to grow it out, but I have super curly hair and it doesn't seem to get longer, just curlier. And I would love to do a keratin treatment, but I don't have $300 to do it. *sigh*
I don't know about keratin treatments but have you ever tried those straighteners? Or those irons that straighten curly hair? You might find that you have instantly longer hair without the cost of keratin treatments. Just a thought. I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir. I have straight, fine hair and so I don't know how the curly half live.

I'd love to do personals for everyone, but I'd probably be on here an hour, and it's time to get cooking! Making sweet potato cheesecake, meringue cookies, and starting the refridgerator rolls before I hit the sack tonight. The raspberry butter is already made. I'm planning on eating a slice of that cheesecake tomorrow and one roll.

Weight remaining the same...126.2, 4th day in a row. 8th day of that number since November 5th.
I'm so glad that you and your hubby came through that dark time, Paula. I hope you were strengthened as the end result. I too am doing a choppy job at personals tonight. Seems when I do anything other than stay on LCF all day, I fall hopelessly behind in the posts. Then it takes so much concentration and time to get caught up. Please forgive me if I skipped you!!!

Those foods you are having for Turkey Day sound so scrumptious! I want some.

Nice whooshy! I want one! I've got to try one of those fat fasts on my next P2 round. I want to see how I do with one of those. Must be a nice break on P2! I would also second the request to know exactly what you ate.

I cant think of any other tactics that could potentially work as well as the Judd type of thing;
at least in my experience - out of all the multitudes of different diets and eating approaches I have done,
the calorie cycling approach is the only one that has enabled me to lose weight without lowering metabolic rate;
and I also believe you can potentially increase metabolism with it too -
maybe best done in a slow graduated fashion.
I am still wanting to experiment more on that front- although busyness is keeping me from adhering to a strict scientific plan at the moment.

I think that even though you are small- your metabolic rate could still potentially be a lot higher.

But at the end of the day -
possibly the main issue is that on a daily basis you can eat and be satisfied and not be constantly in an uncomfortable hunger zone-
and if you can do that on a thousand calories,
then that is ok, and livable.
But if you cant maintain the weight loss you have-
whatever that calorie count that happens to be -
without being uncomfortably hungry, tired, and lacking in energy-
then that is not okay!

I know what you mean about 5 pds being so far away!
For me 5 pds is a lot of weight to lose,
and for it to be permanent, it has to be very slow and graduated, carefully coaxing my body into being willing to release a few more ounces!
That is my goal right now;
but my body seems to be in a bit of an annoying stasis,
and other life concerns are taking more priority than putting my energies into doing what I want to do on the diet front...
Really liked this one, Nola. Sage advice, good for us all.

I actually love to spend time on Thanksgiving really reflecting on the blessings in my life -- it is easy to be bogged down with the stresses, and I love having a day dedicated to acknowledging and being thankful for the good things....they always outweigh the bad.

Thanksgiving and New Years are both really introspective days for me.
Love this, too. It's so good for the soul to sit back and truly take an assessment of all the things you have that so many others don't have. After that October snow storm, I'm adding electricity and heat to that list of things I'm thankful for!

All this talk about gym memberships and working out made me finally call the gym I love and used to be a member of. They wouldn't discuss monthly rates over the phone so I drove down there. If they can't get the payment down to close to what it was when I was last a member, I don't think I can afford to do it. I just can't fork over $50 a month for something that I can essentially live without. They gave me a free one week pass so I'll try and go Friday and then another time or two before the pass expires. That will give the lady some time to talk to the higher-ups about my situation. I have prayed for softened hearts!

I also posted on Craigslist tonight in the Barter section. I offered to swap my elliptical for a treadmill. Someone responded but they are going to send me an email that includes details about it and pics. This could work out really well for me. The elliptical was always so much harder for me to use than the ones you find in they gym. I don't know why but the ones you don't plug into a power outlet are just more grueling.

I do need to start exercising. I want to work on fitness now and not just weight loss. At the point that I'm at, it's time.

Happy Thanksgiving to all you lovely ladies! May this be a blessed time and may we all have precious moments we'll always treasure.

Hi Gals! Missed my morning check-in today. I'm up 1.4 today to 168 and think I want to start loading for Round 3 sooner than December 4th. My husband's Christmas party is December 9th and I was thinking of starting Round 3 like tomorrow! I can't wait! If I did that, I'd have to use December 4th, December 9th and Christmas day as interruption days.

What do you all think? Is three interruption days in such a short period of time too much? If I start loading Friday, that will give me 18 days of P3. My last round of P3 was 20 days. I'm pretty impatient.

I will definitely do this again. maybe tomorrow.

Yes. If you can do just the 12/9 and 12/25, that might be spaced out enough not to be bad. But the 4th and then the 9th might be a bit much so close together. JMHO, for what it's worth.

Thanks, Star. I guess we can make a fat fast day out of any fat we can tolerate and enjoy.

I think that's about right. I actually was concerned about the steak, thinking it wouldn't be fatty enough (what a switch), but I guess it was fine. so I'm trying to figure out if another fatty day will be workable tomorrow with my schedule.

yeesh, way off topic, but am I ever hungry today. I guess I may well be low carb-ish for the rest of this round, since my protocol-ish day yielded crazy hunger.

Thanks, Star! I'm liking the bangs, too. I've worn bangs on and off for years, and I missed them.

I am hungry tonight as well, fat fast notwithstanding. But, I seem to be dropping a lot of fluid today, so I will stick it out. I'm coming in somewhere under 1000 cals for the day... may drop lower tomorrow if I don't start seeing losses.

My jeans are a little looser today, and I can actually get my goal jeans on now, but they are tight... so something is happening, no matter what the scale says. Sometimes it is just a matter of sticking it out for a while, I think, and over-riding the hunger, etc. It isn't fun, though.

I am simply FLABBERGASTED! That color is perfect for you! I didn't think I was going to like it much, to be completely honest. Those pictures are all so amazing! Please tell your roommate that she did an excellent job and we all appreciate it so much!

My favorites (which is hard to pick some) are the one of you and slayer (I think it was slayer) in the profile pic. I think that should be your Avi, at least sometime soon. I love the one of you with the glasses and the piercings and the smoke. OMG! They're all so amazing! And the one of the bird with it's wings flapping and your head back? It almost looks like you are an angel (well, with the wings on the wrong side.)

I had never seen so many pics of you Mini. You are just dazzling! Thanks so much for sharing those! I hope you never take down that link or remove those photos cause I want to go back again and again. I never realized how pretty you were. I mean really pretty! And it's clear you are an artist. Wow. I'm just in awe.

Now I WANT LOCKS! Wish you could do me, too! (And I'm a big believer in bangs. I inherited one of those foreheads.)

Mini- super, super CUTE!! LOVE it!! Red looks GREAT on you! I could never let a bird sit on my head!

Cheryl- I used to straighten my hair with a hair dryer and a flat iron, but with 3 young kids, I don't have time for that. I have like 1 minute hair. I comb, style, mousse/gel and let it air dry. It is very easy, but I am bored, nonetheless.

Awww -- you guys are so sweet -- thank you! (Cheryl, you totally made my night!) Glad you enjoyed the photos I know, it's hard to imagine a big change of color on someone, but I'd had my hair this color before, so I knew it worked on me (I have had a few colors that didn't, lol) .

I'd totally lock your hair if you were here, Cheryl! I love mine -- never going back. When I am older, I will simply have grey locks (though my hair is refusing to grey yet -- my mom didn't grey at all until she was in her late 50s, and now in her late 70s is still salt and pepper.)

Aren't the birdies adorable? I love the one of Slayer on my shoulder, looking so fierce and regal -- hard to imagine he was a scrappy little thing like Hazmat less than a year ago.. he's such a huge, gorgeous creature now

You're on! I will work on more pics but I have nothing glamorous to show. I might smile with a toothy grin but only if I'm not completely in control of my faculties. Truly Mini, I think I understand you more now than I did before.A picture says 1000 words and I have read so much about you through those pics.

I'm late into the morning (almost 1) and should be off this dang computer, but here I type. going to sign off before I say something completely incoherent. Mini, I have a greater grasp on who you are today. I'll never see you the same again. You are a classy lady with so much depth to your soul. I respect you immensely. And if I ever make my way out to see you, I'm going to take you up on the offer to do my locks. I'm kind of stuck on blond because of my bland, repressive genes but who knows?. There's no real harm done when it comes to hair. If worst comes to worse, shave it all off, buy a wig and wait til it grows out.

Sleep meds are kicking in big-time so it's dangerous to keep posting. Almost 1 am and I need to try and sleep. Can't afford to be late to Thanksgiving!

Have a splendid evening. OVER AND OUT!

Wow, thank you so much, Cathy!

I don't exactly *need* to lose weight, technically speaking, but I feel a bit better a few pounds lighter -- I'm so tiny framed and short that I feel best when I am on the thinner side.

I hope everyone has safe travels tomorrow (if you are traveling) and a wonderful, stress- free holiday full of love and blessings!

Good morning and happy Turkey Day! My day started off on the right foot with. 1.2 pound drop. I'm so close to those 110s that I almost hate to have an interruption day today, BUT I'm going to enjoy this day and not worry. I'm going to be off the scale until Sunday where hopefully I can see the 111s again. I'm going to break the 110s next week, I can feel it!

Harding to our friends today since family is far away. It should be fun. I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving and remembers what this holiday is truly about

Love the red mini, and the pics of the birds, they are so sweet! I do think the color suits you - brings out your eyes. I loved being a redhead...so many options with makeup that somehow I didn't have as a brunette.

Happy Thanksgiving. Sending strength out to all those planning a controlled feast.

And to those not, enjoy! Just made the rolls and they are rising now. Will be gone to family's after they bake. Hope everyone has a good holiday.

Blessings: Family in good health, 30 pounds lighter than last Thanksgiving, DH with job has lasted 5 months, and my lcf friends who keep my sanity!
