LOL @ 57 people peeking in to see why I was in trouble.
![]() I was kinda scared to open the thread, to be honest. I was like, "What! What did I do?" So very pleasantly surprised! Thanks to the both of you! Still pluggin' along. Stall day 562 it seems. Tried to do the chicken correction that someone else posted had netted them a 2.5 lb loss - pfffft nada for me. This set point has worked my last nerve. Moving on to P3 is NOT an option for me, so don't even try it, lol!! I know it will come. I have been using some ointment on my scalp (shaved heads get dry, people!) and it's got all sorts of stuff I should not be using. Also, I have been stubbornly using s/f Torani syrup in my coffee, despite knowing full well that Splenda stalls me. Can't seem to wean myself off of it. It has become like crack (pumpkin pie and gingerbread flavors... sigh). TOM also seems to be MIA. Come back, dear friend, I miss you terribly... Thanks again! I never used to pose for the camera when I was large. And if you happened to catch me... I would NEVER be smiling! Now I am a ham! This pic was taken at an awesome tasting event at a steakhouse. I had 2 jumbo shrimp while everyone else noshed on yummies. My friend won the raffle for a $500 lunch for 6 people. I hate her!

Hey now... maybe this thread has brought me luck. I was FINALLY down this morning after the stall from h-e-double-hockey-sticks!!
![]() C'Marie and Shelby, you two have been SUCH major sources of information and mentoring to me. Really. I came over to the HCG forum not knowing a thing and while people have come and gone in these 7 months since, you both have been such constant (and consistent) inspiration and motivation, not to mention... EDUCATION. You took this newbie and really, really helped her become the person she wanted to be. So extra special thanks to the both of you! ![]() Diva, I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to witness your journey and share in your happiness. I know you say your avatar was enhanced, but I see that glow to be ALL YOU. Thanks again to everyone, I am a success story thanks to you and this forum! ![]() |

You do look amazing Lilac! I was wondering about the hair, too (I have extensions in, so mine *does* get longer sometimes!) Whatever the case, you really are a stunner!
I'm also stalled, and I hear your frustration. So glad you are seeing some movement on the scale, finally! I'm going to be fiddling around with my plan until I get a loss going again, too. |

It's totally a shadow, was pretty dark in that place. My hair is still waaaaay short. I wouldn't call it stubble any more, it's about 1" at its shortest and 2" on top. I've been wearing it spiked up with big earrings and it just looks so cute. I seriously feel 10+ years younger rockin' this look.
![]() Had ANOTHER loss this morning, a nice, big whoosh. Coincidentally, as soon as I stopped the Torani syrups and hair balm (which contains peppermint oil, tea tree oil, rosemary oil, castor oil, sweet almond oil, collagen and lanolin). I'm soooo close to goal, I can already taste the bacon! Mini, hope the scale gets moving for you soon! My stall lasted almost 2 weeks, and it was the 2nd bad one on this round. I don't get how my body remembers a set point from 20 years ago, but this is what I weighed when I got pregnant with my daughter and the last time I was not a plus-size. That pregnancy had me gaining 80 lbs. Yep. It's totally my kid's fault that I got fat. <- my story and I'm sticking to it. Last edited by LilacBruze; 11-20-2011 at 07:43 PM.. |

Glad you got the whoosh, Lilac!
I really want to see a picture that shows off the hair! Sounds really cute. My first pregnancy gave me bigger feet and wavy hair that I didn't want, so I totally hear you! My M-I-L blames it for ruining her teeth. You can definitely load the guilt of 20 years of weight struggle right onto that kid! |
