cheryl....i used 4T daisy sour cream with 2T hellmann's mayo. all full fat of course. you can "season" this a couple ways. squirt some mustard in there and add ezsweet to taste for a faux "honey mustard" sauce. or i have some southwest seasoning mix that i added to it today. verrrry yummy. i just used on top of chicken. or you could dip veggies in it...or use it for a pork rind dip.

Great idea! I may try it since I just bought a cooked rotisserie chicken today. Thanks! Hope you are feeling well. Will be praying this weekend for Noah and you to have a relatively good weekend. Really hoping you can make your benefit. (((HUGS)))
Just a reminder to also pray for Marie this Thursday as she has her cosmetic surgery! (OOOPS! Forgot what thread I was on. Marie doesn't post here. Pray anyway!) Last edited by CherylB; 11-15-2011 at 05:42 PM.. |

Wow! I don't know if I've ever seen Cathy's before and after pics. What a change, Cathy! You don't look like you EVER were that big. I love your smile so much. You radiate happiness compared to your before pic. What a frown you had on! You can see the pain. What an inspiration you are. Many hugs to you. (I love that one of you in the blue outfit. I remember when you posted it and you look so dang cute.)

Oh, heck yeah, Hexa! My dreaded sister
TOM is starting, so I was right about that. Given that, and the fact that I was seriously starving tonight, I went for a bit more food, and am coming in closer to the 1000 calories fat fast, which should still be just fine. If I don't see a good number come the weekend, when I will definitely be weighing, I may tighten it up some.. but I was losing on this before, and likely only stopped losing because of TOM... I do seem to need a little more food those first couple of TOM days. I'm putting yesterday's indulgences behind me, and just resuming my planned p2 EFGT plan as usual -- the weight will come off when it comes off. I probably won't bother weighing this week, because the variations with TOM are always pretty significant .. so why mess with my head over it? As long as I stay on plan, there isn't any real risk in skipping a few scale days.

This next hair project will be somewhat time consuming ... I can't dye the bottom part of my hair, because it is synthetic extensions, which don't dye... so I have to replace them -- the really time consuming part (making the extensions) is done, though. I am going to take a crochet hook to them, but I will be doing that as I put them in.
It'll take a few days to get the whole thing done, but it will be worth it... I can't wait to get going with it... I haven't had red hair in ages, and it'll be a nice, sassy change. I'm ready for some changes! |

Morning!
Woosh Fairy paid me a visit, down 4 pounds overnight for a total of 6 down! I'm back in the 148s! My goal this round is 145 before Thanksgiving and then another 2 by the Saturday after. I could get there! Ultimately I'd love to see 139 and be done. I get lots of criticism about how thin I'm looking. My collar bone and ribs are getting pretty prominenet now and people are always commenting on that. I think I still have some belly fat to lose but of course no one lookst at that. Mini-wow, what an undertaking! I can't wait to see what it looks like! Cheryl, so you're doing adkins right now, right? I seriously love my adkins and think I will always stay somewhere on the spectrum of that plan. My body just doesn't like carbs (bloating, gas, tummy ache). Anyway, better get moving. I've got a busy day ahead of me!

Paula -- excellent, glad to hear it!
Melanie -- wow, that's an amazing whoosh!!!! I wish people in your life would just leave well enough alone ... hmph. I'm sure they are concerned, but they are also overbearing and nosy, and your body is your business ultimately. Glad you are so close to being done! Dazy -- fantastic! You ARE done, and you are off to a great start with maintenance! You can always drop a few more later if you want to, but I'm pretty sure you don't need to lose another ounce. |

I am bloaty and crampy this morning, and TOM hasn't really started -- it made a token gesture last night, but isn't rolling yet
![]() Staying off the scale until that is well underway, which actually feels good. Another EFGT day for me, 1000 ish calories. My roommate was commenting last night that I don't seem to eat any more than she does, which is probably somewhat true at the moment.... I assured her that I do eat, just mainly in the mornings. Will be interested to see what the scale says after TOM weight goes -- if the pattern holds, I may be in for a nice drop ... I hope. |

super tired this morning, but am now down 10 lbs since last tuesday. yay!
![]() this round has been easier than the last one for me. I think I'm in the right headspace for it. I'd been writing off november as a no-fun-with-food month for a couple of weeks before I started, so it's been smoother sailing. or so I say so far...day one of week two. mini, you'll post pics of the new red 'do, right? |

So I went back up this morning for no good darn reason, unless it was the 2 day effect from my "oops" on Monday or the hard exercise from Monday as well... either way, boo and hiss again!! I hope it all goes away again tomorrow, as I am not happy with it at all... but what can do you ??? pout, whine, moan and complain??? okay, just did that, now on to the rest of the day ![]() ![]()

![]() You have a good attitude about skipping the scale. I also find it helps me not to obsess and causes me less anxiety. I went to the gym today and did my weight training and cardio. We did all upper today and whew I wanted to scream when I had to do those chest presses. Dang it. I did some cardio after and now it's rest time. I always have a protein shake after the workout because I need to feed that muscle. My trainer is telling me that I need to eat more protein in order to build the muscle. I really have to figure that out on P2. Loving the talapia ![]() I won't weigh until Sunday. I am just giving my body a little time to exercise that chocolate off that I chugged down on Monday. Whew, it was get going down but it was not worth it. ![]()

Okay, I have got to get on to the chin up challenge- I can do 2 or 3.. but am going for a set of ten. But I am a bit stalemated with my back and chest strength right now- so I am trying to work out how to get past that sticking point! My abs are pretty good- though not a true six pack yet- I need to be leaner for that.. but there is quite a lot of definition around my abs. Butt is mediocre- there is definitely big muscle in there but it is still disguised behind saddlebags and cellulite... grrr I am going the opposite way from you- at the moment I am increasing calories a bit , cycling calories around like crazy, and working on revving up my metabolism a bit more so that I can shave off a few more pounds without having to lower calories much and/or try too hard. That is the aim anyway- whether it works or not- we will see! |

First off, hoots and hollers going out to everyone who lost well today/this week/this round! Hugs to those who are fighting the good fight. I'm having a bad concentration day and my mind keeps straying from what I'm reading. When that happens, it takes me forever to get through posts. Forgive me for any holes in my support today. Here's all I've got:
Quote:
![]() I'm enjoying Atkins right now and it will be that much better when I am over this cold and have my coffee maker up and running again! I have no appetite and only eat because I have to. That's typical for me when I'm in ketosis. (Which I am. I got new ketone strips delivered today and I'm on the 3rd rung up from negative. Small but there!) Congrats on that hefty whoosh! Love those so much. I don't get them on Atkins but I don't care. I'm going for overall losses through the holiday months and then will see how I feel and what plan I want to continue on with in January. Quote:
![]() Quote:
![]() Life is good! On the other hand, hugs for the scale messing with your head again. Maybe you should do like Mini and stay off of it for a few days. Couldn't hurt, could it? The scale shouldn't have that kind of power over us. I mean, if you hadn't stepped on it, would you have known you were back up a little? You might have had a happy morning! What's it worth? As for me, day 4 of Atkins and I'm down 3.6 (Total loss). Good start! No real appetite but eating enough to keep things rolling. Mail man came and rang my bell. He only does that when I have a package. I got all jazzed and thought it was my coffee carafe! Woohoo! But alas, just my replacement bottle of Ketone strips. So, instead of digging out the coffee can, I went in the bathroom and peed on a stick. ![]() So I'm back in the 160's again and putting the 70's behind me for forever. (See siggy.) Rainy and gloomy here today but not affecting my mood. After that cold, no rain or cloud cover could keep me down! Still have a trace of it lingering but I'm doing so much better. And now that I have nice, soft tissues, vaseline, sugar-free cough drops and good food, I can ride this out comfortably. Now if only my carafe comes before Sunday! I hope everyone has an excellent day today. Hugs to all! ![]()

I am soooo hungry today
I went to the gym for my daily workout and didn't eat a real meal until dinner. I think I am getting sick of tilapia and veggies so my taste buds are SCREAMING for something different. Thank goodness it's not chocolate.
