Getting Nervous, Taking another Poll
![]() I am in R2P3D9. LDW was 168.0. I'm at 169.6 this morning. I finally made it up to 1104 calories yesterday but each day I've been creeping by the tenths toward the upper cd day weightwise. Should I just continue along, do a cd if I go over the 2 lbs??? OR before the two weeks is up......which will be 11/18 from my last dose day......to consider this only an interruption and go back on the drops and 500 calories?????? I never had an issue on R1 but this time it's different. Thanks in advance for any input. I appreciate the support and advice!! Betty ![]() |

Betty; i only did 3 weeks of p3 so am by no means an expert however, your calorie levels at 1104 seem really really low??
my maintenance cals were up around 1800, granted i was exercising, and when i was too low at the beginning (appetite issues), i gained gained gained!. i hope someone else with more p3 experience chimes in but that 1100 seems way way way to low, thats like dieting level??? might be way off base but just my thoughts. |

Layla, thanks so very much for your input. In my first round and in this one I am sooooo full with so little food that it takes me a while to build my calories up. I am sedentary too but will keep adding more protein and see if I can get the counts up. Thank you Hon. Have a great day. (by the way, you have done wonderfully!!)

I'm just starting P3 today and I am worried about reaching my maintenance calories of 1450 (I'm 5 ft 156)
I could barely finish my breakfast...I ate like 3/4 of it. I listed what I ate so far today on the P3 Newbie thread.... |

thanks so much betty! im very pleased with my progress.
i had the same issue, would feel very hungry but was satisfied with very small amounts. i added in heavy cream (had with berries), and coconut milk in my smoothies to up calories without it feeling like *more*. also heavy cream (whipping) with my coffee. made it super rich, almost too much so but it helped. i also added butter to veggies, and to cook (eggs, steak etc) for the same reason. enjoyed chicken thighs, felt so indulgent lol. also made my own salad dressing and mayonnaise because i cannot get sugar free here. it felt very *heavy* at times but the volume of food i eat has changed significantly so i needed to up certain high fat/calorie items to boost my intake. once i did, i stayed solid but when i ate too little, i definitely gained. seemed so so high to me but it worked to help me stabilize. it was terrifying i admit and i really struggled in the beginning. very counterintuitive to up cals when we are trying to maintain and finding ourselves gaining!! i also read up on the *leptin* thread, think i will try that next p3 if i have issues. will be there in a few weeks |
