I just took a DEEP breath and feel much better! I just know how easy it is for me to gain weight. That's what makes this diet so unique. I have to LEARN how to maintain after a loss. Unfortunately, I have never learned that skill. So excited to have you paving the way for us...THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

I loved my little sweet treat I made yesterday. I melted 2 T of unsalted butter, and added 1 T of cocoa (I never knew it only has 10 calories!), 3 packs of stevia blend, and 1/4 cup of coconut chips! It was so delicious!

Sending you hugs from the heart!

Yesterday:
coffee with 1 T of HWC
cooked cabbage (sauted with some bacon grease)
Linda's "breaded chicken cutlet," baked not fried
Bowls of salad with romaine, spinach, tomatoes, sharp cheddar, bacon bits, and 2 T bleu cheese dressing x 2 (it was sooooooo good).
Bacon Rolled Meat loaf (Linda's recipe) made with ground turkey instead of ground beef.

8 glasses of water
2 flavored waters (16 oz with sf drink mix added)

My chocolate coconut treat.

You are dabomb diggity~
Hugs right back atcha!

Before this diet, I gained weight eating BROCCOLI, no lie. I completely get it! First of all, how tall are you, what is your activity level and what is your age (if you don't mind my asking)? Let's see if maybe you aren't eating ENOUGH. Weirdly, this is the thing that messes people up the most!

After that, a couple of things that I see on the above that may be questionable (and they are very minor) are the following:

- The breading on the cutlet is pork rinds, correct? Very salty, very processed. You would probably do better with dark meat chicken with skin.
- The sharp cheddar on the salad, how much? A lot of people wait on cheese until after about 5 days. It can mess with stabilization. I have a friend who also had problems with YELLOW cheese. Not sure why but white cheeses were fine but she gained with yellow.
- The bacon bits, were they real or artificial? If artificial, I would replace with real. Again the artificial are very salty and very processed.
- The bacon in the meatloaf, did you use sugar free bacon?

Again these are ALL very minor. Gut feel is that you are probably not eating enough, though.

p.s. on that whole breathing thing? It's another really good habit that this diet has helped me develop. When I feel myself getting stressed, I pull out my little breathing mantra, "I live in the here and now. The universe loves its children. The purpose of breath is to heal." Rinse and repeat. I've used it at least twice today already!

Weighed in at 155.6 so still under my last weight.
Only thing I added today was almonds. Not adding anything new until Thursday which will be macadamia nuts. Otherwise sticking to protocol. Adding some cheese on Saturday. I had wine again last night. I think I'll continue with a glass of red at night. Good luck tomorrow Natasha!

And Jeanette hang in there! This is a very emotional time for all us newbies. I'm trying to remain calm and just go little by little. I know I'll shoot up soon since TOM came early today...ugh...so I got a breve latter from Starbucks with Splenda ... A small one

Not sure why but white cheeses were fine but she gained with yellow. I haven't had cheese today, but will definitely opt for the white cheese. I have some monterey in the fridge right now.

Real, I cooked it myself.

- The bacon in the meatloaf, did you use sugar free bacon? ...the Nutritional label said sugar 0.

I am a special SPECIAL education teacher. I teach students with profound disabilities, so really I lift A LOT, transferring from wheel chair to equipment, etc. But I usually consider myself sedentary (but I'm not when I think about it).

I just started exercising. I'm on day 3. I'm doing Leslie's Walk Away the Pounds (1 mile).

I'm super short like 5 feet, and I'm 47, soon to be 48.

Thanks again!

Jeanette I'm a lil bitty thing too at 5 feet!

I found that while my weight says to eat 1750...I can't reach that so I have been averaging 1450-1500 a day...

On Saturday I will try and reach closer to it. Next week is when I add dairy so we shall see how I do then. I think by then I can add decadent coconut butter with chocolate etc. so that should help me get up there. I wanna try to reach as high as I can calorie wise so I can see what my threshold is. First though I wanted to get the nuts out of the way especially almonds...then cheese, then my dairy...then chocolate with coconut and almonds yum!

AND I bit the bullet and bought macadamia nuts which I will soak in chocolate sweetened with xylitol and vanilla extract for a super yummy treat for next weekend

For now melon with whipped heavy cream and stevia is my friend!

@MemoryKeeper

On the bacon, check the contents. Sugar, cane sugar or any other form of sugar shouldn't be an ingredient. Most bacons have it, curse them! The ones that I have found to not have them are also oddly, the low sodium bacons.

According to the BMR calculator, you should be eating between 1886 and 2123 calories. Get those calories UP, young lady!

I had egg foo yung for dinner with shrimp and it was soooooo good! I didn't add the oyster sauce (all the ones I found had sugar), but I did add clam juice instead. It was really good.

I am baking some oopsie rolls right now! OOOOHHHH! They are so good. Looking forward to making a sandwich for lunch tomorrow.

My back is killing me today, well for about a week now. Interestingly, when I was taking hCG I did not have the same pain, but when off, I'm back to all the aches and pains. Lifting a lot will do that to you!

Jeanette oddly enough, I am now having some headaches, sinus issues and back pain which I did NOT have on P2...I had them prior to the diet though...wonder what that's all about?

For dinner I had grilled chicken wings with peppers and onions and guacamole...

Yummy yumm

I haven't tried oopsies yet as I wanna see how I do with cheese. Although I assume just fine since day one P3 I ate blue cheese with celery

My scale only moves in increments of .5. I'm still within range, but I gained another pound. Now I'm 1.5 over my LIW. Really, I'm not stressed..... :-)

I have always had potty trouble when doing low carb and that's why I try to do lots of veggies. I haven't gone since Sunday and maybe that's affecting my weight.

Be back later!

Hi All,

Glad to see you are all doing well!! I went to a dog show out of town and stayed in a hotel over the weekend and ate every single meal out, McDonalds, Applebees and Perkins, I came back and only budged up .2 pounds, still well below LDW!! So I'm happy with that.

Jeanette, that could big factor in your weight. You might want to see if you can get your hands on some Smooth Move tea and drink it nightly, this helps me move things along naturally. I get the chocolate flavored one and just swill it down (don't care for the taste that much).

I have fluctuated right up to just under two pounds over my LDW and back down again.

156 this morning

Natasha!!!! How is your first P3!!!!!

I had blue cheese with my wings last night soooo I'm assuming I'm ok with cheese. The test comes Saturday when I have some with my eggs.

Last night I had raspberries with heavy whipping cream

Today I am trying Macadamia nuts. While expensive they are so yummy!

Glad things went well Lynai!!! Now what on earth did you find to eat at Mc D? Please share as I'll be out of town in a few.

YUM!!

One of my tricks (to save calories/carbs and more importantly $$$) is to order an americano and then ask for a couple inches of steamed breve. I usually go for the venti and ask for 2 or 3 inches. Also, if you have a registered Starbucks card the steamed breve will be free, along with any SF thin syrups like vanilla, hazlenut, caramel or cinn dolce. (Mocha isn't free.) With the americano you're also getting double the espresso shots for about half the cost. YAY! If you're in a festive mood order a venti sugar free vanilla americano with 3 inches steamed breve and sprinkle some nutmeg on top! I'm almost out of my starbucks gift card money so I won't be going much anymore. I only go if I have funds on the card, otherwise I make everything at home. (which can be tasty but sometimes a complete flop with the wacko flavor combinations I scheme up )

I've gotten some headaches as well but not sure if it's due to stress or the P3 change..

I've only had cheese once so far, I think I might start adding it back in. I've been doing okay with my half and half and Fage so cheese should be okay, it's just the portion control that I need to be careful with.

I've made oopsies a few times, they get the job done but they always fall apart and are too moist/get goobers on your fingies. I'm going to try some of Jennifer Eloff's bread recipes to see how those hold up (they're in the LC recipe section and on her website)

I Macadamia nuts! I went to Hawaii for vacation in September and went to a macnut farm that had lots of free samples. Oh my gosh, so good! My favorite ones are Hamakua Wasabi.. I would totally order bags and bags of them but my portion control will go right out the window if I order any.

Up .5 today. No worries. Made some chocolate chip cookies and coconut flour donuts with choc frosting last night, they were a 'test run' for Thanksgiving snacks. Donuts turned out okay but the cookies were a complete failure. The recipe said they wouldn't spread but I ended up with one HUGE uni-cookie that was flat and off in texture/flavor. I ate two(ish) of them and determined that they will not work for dad. The donuts were tasty but the chocolate was way too rich. (I've never had that problem before!!??!) I was still supposed to eat dinner last night but after I ate the cookies and donut (and licked the spoon from the frosting, etc..) I couldn't eat anything else. Not sure what my numbers were, before the cooking fiesta I was around 1400~

If you want the recipe, google sugarfreelowcarbrecipes and look for chocolate iced coconut donuts.

Today I'm P3 day 14. Average weight throughout P3 is 176.75 (LDW is 176.5) Rockin it!

Even my ranch dressing has sugar. I definitely need to be more cautious on my ingredient list! I didn't have anything else, so I used 2 T of the ranch (my portioned out amount).

Going out to eat for the first time since October 18th today. Going to Golden Corral. I will stay away from anything I can't determine what's in it. I will bring my own dressing.

Well I have eaten all my food planned except for the almonds and haven't felt stuffed today at all yet.

B - omelette w/ 1 T hwc, onions, mushrooms, spinach, sausage & bit of cheese topped w/ salsa & sour cream plus 2 strips of bacon
L - tuna salad w/ 2 T mayo, onion & dill pickles, 1/3 of an avocado mixed w/ guac mix & red onion
S - apple w/ 2 t sf syrup & 2 pecans chopped over

For dinner I'm planning on a grilled chicken salad or the rest of my P2 chili & rest of the avocado maybe a side salad. My breakfast was best! Oh so delicioso!

YUM! I'm definitely going to pick up some sour cream and avocados soon! I haven't had much time in the mornings for anything but super quick scrambled eggs.. Hopefully I'll make an omelette like yours soon. BF makes really yummy ones!

Are you planning on going up to your BMR or ease into it?

I think I pretty much dove right in. I added lots of fats/protein and a little cheese. My dinner changed a bit had a grilled ground beef patty w/ some mustard & a tad bit of ketchup on it. I had a side salad of romaine, cukes & red onion w/ lots of blue cheese dressing! The rest of my avocado too! Nothing else for tonight I'm full! I see how easy it is to up the calories just with the condiments! 2 T of blue cheese dressing was 150 calories! No wonder I never ate it on my low fat diet!

Tomorrow I'm not diving as deep or at least for some reason it doesn't seem! I've already got my meals & snacks ready. For breakfast (from work cafe) I'm having 2 scrambled eggs & a side of bacon. Lunch will be remainder of my P2 Chili (might have 1 full cup left), celery w/ ranch dressing, peach cup, a few almonds for snack. Then dinner is def a big salad w/ grilled chicken & spicy ranch dressing b/c I'm going to my cousins for a movie night and she's making salads!

We'll see how the scale responds in the morning to all this food today! WOW!!! I guess if it goes haywire I will nix any nuts/cheeses although I only had a very tiny amount today. Also, neighbor gave us 2 big bags of red grapes! I was so mad b/c it says to be cautious of these in P3. I had to wash them up and bag them so I ate a few! Of course. I do realize I cannot load up on cheese full fledge like I did on a previous LC diet years ago. It stopped me up terribly!

I'm not counting calories it was exhausting!
I had blue cheese again today. Not adding cheese or sour cream until Sunday.
Holding steady, we'll see what tomorrow brings!
So excited we are all in P3 now! We new to keep posting meals and recipes. I won't add Greek yogurt until next week and am getting tired of eggs lol

I'm making Chile Rellenos Bake right now for lunch tomorrow and supper too.

I way overate at Golden Corral. I had chicken wings with hot sauce, baked chicken, steak, salad with bleu cheese dressing, coffee with half-n-half. However, I did not have any bread, starchy veggies, or dessert! For that, I'm totally proud of myself. I feel a little sick though. I will see what tomorrow brings. YIKES-A-RAMA!

Yea I ate at Outback today with my best friend. Had the wings no breading with blue cheese and steamed broccoli no butter since their butter is a big no no!
I also had 2 glasses of wine instead of my usual one. HOWEVER I didn't have any fruits today.
Just made my first batch of cocoa crack...added unsweetened organic coconut and almonds to it...sprinkled some sea salt on top.
Can't wait to try it! I was gonna wait for my erythritol to come in but I decided to experiment. I don't think I like it too much with splenda and stevia...but we shall see!

Chile rellenos sound so good!

OOOH I need to get that cocoa crack recipe. Splenda and chocolate are usually not a good combo. I used the xylitol (Ideal brand) and Stevia mixed. It was really good.

The only bad thing about tonight was that I continued eating even when i felt full. Even if it was as sugar free as I could get, it was still too much!

2 tbs coconut oil
2 tbs cocoa powder (I use ghirardelli unsweetened)
1 tsp heavy cream
and I added the sweetener to taste.
I also sprinkled sea salt on top, added unsweetened shredded coconut and almonds

All melted in the microwave, and I used aluminum foil shaped into a square and poured it in. Sitting in the fridge for tomorrow.
My erythritol should be in then!

YUM! That sounds very similar to mine. I use butter (and add salt if it's unsalted), mixed sweetners, unsweetened coconut chips, and drop of vanilla.

I love chocolate.

Hmmm...I'm going to place an order one day for some stuff...so this crack stuff - is it just like chocolate candy? I was just looking at the sf candy at Walgreen's tonight. They were mostly sugar alcohols and net carbs were 0-3 a piece. I skipped it b/c I don't want to get addicted to stuff like that. I'd rather make my own! Night ladies!
