Lots of seasoning! If you like taco seasoning (versus a 'normal' chili flavor) check out this recipe - Linda Sue Taco Seasoning. I never add in the salt. |

This is the recipe I followed:
7 ounces tomatoes chopped (I bought a can of petite diced by Hunts) 100g ground turkey 1T-2T chili powder 1t paprika 1/2t cumin 1t onion powder 2t minced garlic sea salt to taste black pepper to taste cayenne to taste It was YUMO! I took this from whomever posts it - Guess it's the regular recipe everyone on here uses. I may have used a little more of the chili powder. |

Well I'm on day 10 of P3 and so far so good, no correction days. I now have added all the cheese my little heart desires and so far, no side effects. I made cream cheese muffins with some cocoa crack on top, topped that off with whipped cream for desert four nights in a row and not a significant budge on the scale!!
I have had ribeye stead, chicken enchiladas, chicken masala (no rice) and hamburgers (sans the bun) and I make a wicked BLT saland and the only part I am struggling with is the calorie count, I'm having a hard time getting it up past 1500 calories, and that is why I brought in cheese cake and whipped cream. P3 has been very good for me, my body seems to really like and metabolize the food I'm taking in, and for me it is an incredible amount and my weight has not flucuated beyond that two pound window, it has been great ![]() |

Yay!!!
![]() I find all of you stabilizing on P3 very encouraging I went to the grocery store again, loaded up on Honeycrisps because I them...Bought some peppers, steaks, organic buttah, salsa for my pork rinds...blue cheese dressing...cherry tomatoes, limes and Avocados with cilantro! I looked like a nut reading every friggin label for my chunky salsa...almost all had sugar...ended up with chichi's because even Newman's own has sugar...ugh ![]() Plus I bought a package of chicken wings because I told my hubby who happens to be a chef, he is making me home made chicken wings for Monday! I am almost giddy with happiness ![]() What I do worry about is getting my calories in for the first few days since I won't be adding cheese or dairy until later. And if anyone knows...about when is a good time to add coconut or almond flour? I saw a recipe for chocolate mug cake that is calling my name! The recipe I have for P2 chili has cocoa powder in it...I think I will make that for lunch for Sunday and Monday...adding some jalapeno peppers to kick it up, that is if it's ok to add cocoa so quickly? If so... ![]() Last edited by SunnyFL; 11-11-2011 at 03:01 PM.. |

How awesome is that! I love to hear stories of P3er's who have not had to do any correction days! It makes me have faith that we can do this and keep it off and we have "fixed" our metabolism!!I am going to have to ask around, I was getting to like the Cappucinos at Quik Trip here in ATL and I doubt they have a SF one. I just dont have a Starbucks near but we do have a DD but not sure of their varieties either. Guess I'm going to have to go into QT and see but am wondering if I can make my own version of a french vanilla cappucino? I have some Davinci's caramel syrup from LC 5+ years ago wonder if it's any good...

Well we have a Kwik Trip, I get coffee there daily. I add heavy whipped cream and Cream Vanilla Stevia, it's not as frothy as a cuppacino, but it is every bit as delicious and decadent tasting

That is too bad!!! I think you might be able to pull off hot cocoa with heavy whipped cream, unsweetened powdered chocolate and some Vanilla Cream Stevia, I'm going to give it a whirl here soon. And you know if you were to add a touch of coffee and whipping cream, and put it in a blender, I bet it would be close to a capp. |

Okay these ideas sound good! DH uses Folgers instant and has recently had me buy him some Cafe Bustelo but we don't have the little maker thing. So I would just put what 1/2 tsp in with it?? Ewe...LOL

Marie's Yogurt dressing in Parmesan Caeser looks amazing.

Sunny - You go girl! I agree, if your hunger is WAY up no point in not eating. What'd ya eat today??
I went to the store tonight even though I was in a bit of a foul/sad mood b/c of an annoying thing that went on today and didn't really feel like shopping. I got ground turkey & tomatoes to do another batch of P2 Chili! Also got a tub of full fat sour cream, small carton of heavy whipping cream, big bag of romaine & big bag of spinach, mushrooms, pk of bacon, frozen broccoli "florets", pkg of cracker cuts sharp cheddar cheese, pkg of hot dogs, bottle of sea salt almonds, container of international delight french vanilla ? it didn't say capp or latte or nothing so not sure what it is but it was SF so that's what counts. They didn't have the syrup I was going to get at Ingle's but didn't b/c the line was too long. I checked out a couple of the Peanut Butter labels but didn't get any. I already have plenty of eggs, tuna, chicken, onions, cucumbers, salad dressings, etc. I might go back out to the store tomorrow and see about my syrup, some grapes, strawberries. Spend some time reading labels. I was also looking at the alfredo sauces and that Ragu Cheese Sauce - which is much better than Velveeta. I can mix that w/ the rotel & chicken for a good dinner! |

I think grapes are a no no in P3?
I gotta buy broccoli, that's what I forgot! I know it's suggested to start with almond butter but all the ones I have seen have sugar. Plus what the heck do I do with it? I'm open to brand suggestions. I am also interested in getting coconut milk. I wonder if the So Delicious unsweetened one is good? And no I start tomorrow, I meant I stopped before my last injection. I'm actually excited to lather on my normal face lotion! My skin is so dry and this oil free stuff has made my rosacea worse ![]() Tomorow breakfast is eggs, peppers, with bacon! I'm excited to sleep! And the best part is my coffee with HC....I think I might shed a tear of happiness lol! I'll post my days menu tomorrow evening Last edited by SunnyFL; 11-12-2011 at 09:45 PM.. |

Morning! I made it down to 199.5 on my first Round of HCG! Tonight are last drops! I'm so proud! I've lost 18.5 pounds! Now if I can just keep it off! Do I use my weight from this morning or tomorrow am for my LDW since I'm taking my last drops tonight?
I think grapes yes are on the "be careful or avoid" list so I guess I won't get any for P3. Bummer but that's fine I can do peaches, strawberries, apples & melons! Sunny - How's breakfast!?!? I'm dreaming of a P3 breakfast! Wednesday it is! |

Yay natasha!!!! I'm using 156 as my weight...
Ok here we go... ....*Drum roll please* Two cups of coffee with Heavycream and a stevia/splenda split...a 1/4 tsp of splenda...and 3 drops of the NOW liquid Stevia...yes I like things sweet... It tasted like heaven...or dessert heaven? I think I will be drinking coffee twice a day again...I have a keurig in my office so think I will use it again! Cue the angels singing please - "LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" Two eggs omelette with Peppers, Jalapenos, onions, hubby made fresh tomatillo salsa with tomatillos, cilantro, onions so I put the tomatillo salsa on top of the eggs...all that cooked in bacon fat... 2 strips of bacon!!!!! But I couldn't eat it all ![]() I ate 3/4 of it...1 strip and a half of the applegate organic low sodium bacon...and my tummy just said enough... Sigh' It was like Manna...seriously...I am so GIDDY it's insane a person can be SOOOOO happy eating!!!!!!!!!!!! But I am stuffed! I am worried about how I can keep my calories up today. Any ideas Shelby? My maintenance weight shows at 1450 for 5 feet 156 pounds...only one says it's 1800...so I dunno if I should aim for 1400 today... I'm logging my calories just so I can see what that looks like... I have no idea what to have for lunch...I think I'll do a chicken salad with the dukes mayo as I don't want to do blue cheese dressing yet...I'm trying to be P2-ish...minus the mixing of veggies ... I have avocados!!! But they aren't ready yet. I honestly have no idea how I will manage lunch...this sucks! Hopefully by 1 pm I will be sorta hungry? How do you ladies do it? Otherwise...wow....amazing how awesome food tastes to me! It's like I have brand new tastebuds lol Last edited by SunnyFL; 11-13-2011 at 08:13 AM.. |

Sounds delish! I don't think I'll have a problem eating! LOL I have always been a big eater. I bought 2 avocados and hope they'll be ready by Wed/Thurs! Do you just let them sit out in the open to ripe? I normally am able to buy ones ripe and ready to use but these weren't. Tomatillo salsa sounds delish! Good luck and hopefully by lunch you'll be ready to eat again. I guess by using the full fat products we get more calories in. Mmm bacon & eggs are calling my name!

I put mine by the window, I dunno that's how us Puerto Ricans do it..lol
![]() If you don't want to make fresh tomatillo salsa, they sell in a little can roasted green chiles that have tomatillo in it...I got it at whole foods but I know they sell some in regular grocery stores. Hubby just had the tomatillos on hand yesterday and made it for me ![]() ![]() Yea I have never been a big eater... ![]() I ordered coconut butter from Amazon, Whole Foods didn't have the Artisana brand... Right now trying to reach 1450 is my goal! I'll be happy if I make it to 1300 today though, I figure I can go up 100 tomorrow. Hubby was laughing at me eating....every bite I was like "OMGGGG YUMMMM" and my coffee? Did I mention how friggin AMAZING my coffee was? 2 tbs of Heavy Cream...had to do it.. ![]() I think i should buy that almond butter...but I need a brand and what to do with it LOL... Maybe I can make smoothies in a couple of days and throw in coconut butter with coconut milk? I'm gonna buy the So delicious unsweetened one today. Last edited by SunnyFL; 11-13-2011 at 08:33 AM.. |

Sunny - you're doing good! Don't worry so much. You'll get the calories up there. And don't worr--you'll be hungry for lunch!
![]() Coconut milk - When people talk about coconut milk, they usually get the canned stuff, full-fat, not light. It's usually in the Asian food aisle next to water chestnuts and stuff like that. The stuff in the cartons (So Delicious) is more like coconut water and you'd use that if you wanted it on cereal or something to sub for milk in a recipe. The canned stuff is smooth, delicious, and ultra rich. If you get one that is only coconut milk and water try this delicious trick. After you buy it, let it sit on the counter for a day or two. Then stick it in the fridge over night. The next day, CAREFULLY open the can and pour off the liquid (you can also use this water in shakes or just drink it). The remaining coconut "cream" is almost solid enough to be butter. Mix with a couple of tablespoons of cocoa powder, some vanilla and however much sweetener that you'd like. It's like the richest yummiest chocolate pudding you can imagine! I think a whole bowl like this has almost 1000 calories but its truly hard not to eat the whole thing! ![]() Almond butter - do you have Trader Joe's or Whole Foods where you live? Both have their own almond butter. You can also often get it at healthfood stores or organic co-op type places. Sometimes they grind their own. Avocados - I just picked my first batch off my tree this morning! The best way to get hard ones to ripen is to put them in a brown paper bag with another piece of ripe fruit, like a banana or an apple. For REALLY hard ones it can take a week to 10 days. Most that you get in the grocery store will be ready in 3-4 days if you brown bag them and don't refrigerate.Another way to get fats up is to add calories using oils. Add a tablespoon of olive oil (in addition to your dressing) to your salad today for lunch. Steaks like porterhouse, t-bone, tri-tip are all good and have lots of calories. Add butter to all veggies. Bailey - if today is the last day you are taking drops, use today's weight. Also, be realy cautious with anything packaged. The Ragu sauce, the coffee creamer, just take it easy on that kind of stuff. It can bite you on the butt! |

Thanks for the tips Shelby!
You get so excited for P3 that when it comes you feel kinda stuck...LOL...P2 is so much easier to follow. I feel like a kid in a candy strore and yes it is hard for my brain to grasp I can eat and SHOULD eat full fat items! I will get the canned coconut milk for sure...that coconut cream sounds yummy...I am having visions of berry smoothies with it too. Will also look for the low carb whey protein powder. I bought ghirardelli unsweetened coco powder...I think I will also buy some 80% cacao bars for when i wanna make my desserts next week. I am hoping Thanksgiving to add coconut flour and make a mug cake with heavy whipped cream and raspberries Whole Foods has the almond butter you can grind on your own. I will try a tub of that and see...I think with apples that should be good. But I'll wait a bit to get it. Off to eat an apple now...bought some delicious looking Honeycrisps I'm making a dressing with olive oil today, have to see a good recipe. On a down side...my tummy did not agree with breakfast! ![]() |

Thanks Shelby!
I haven't bought the Ragu Cheese Sauce yet. I will wait til P4 probably and make something with it. Just checking/reading labels on stuff! I bought the Walden Farms SF syrup today at Kroger and bought some pecans. Will have a little of both with my apple for snack on Wed! Today when I was putting the pecans into a container I just had to have a bite! Mmmm so good! The Maxwell House Intl Cafe French Vanilla sf whatever it is says to mix 4 tsp w/ 8oz of water. I'm hoping this will do for a replacement of my once a week cappucino! It has 2g carbs and 0 sugars. So hoping once a week won't hurt me with this. It has coffee in it but doesn't smell mostly like coffee which is good b/c I do not like coffee at all. Well I have a pot of green beans & P2 chili bubbling away on the stove! I still have chicken I cooked/weighed out from last Sunday. It should still be good to use for another day or two right??? It's been refrigerated.
