Oneoftwo - I dove right in eating eggs, bacon, sausage, sour cream, salsa, made some mexican soup, ate some more of the P2 chili, cooked some hamburgers too. I was so tired of chicken and cabbage I haven't eaten ANY cabbage at all. I'm eating broccoli and salads now too with full fat dressings. I have only eaten grilled chicken out at restaurants but have had hot wings a couple of times.
I added in some pecans/almonds every other day and it didn't seem to bother me. I've also done some SF syrup and coconut milk. I am eating up to my BRM most days and tend to go over my LDW anywhere from 1-2 pounds fluctuating. I've never gone below it! You can do it! Welcome aboard!!

If you go some pages back you can see our first day/week menus for P3 and the results of it after

I didn't add cheese till week 2...but my FIRST day of P3 I had chicken wings and blue cheese dressing

I have no idea if I can withstand another round....I would like to as it's 23 days vs the 40 I did! I need to lose these last 10-12..

If I do I will be loading with you guys on New Years!!!

I also drank wine, lots of it with no issues, both red and wine. Had a hiccup the last two days but I know it had wings that had to have had hidden sugars and carbs in it, made me gain

Dangit! I wrote a whole thing and lost it!

Double your protein portions and add fattier cuts of P2 proteins--fish, chicken, seafood and steak. Add eggs and bacon for breakfast. Add all non-starchy veggies. Add lots of butter, avocados, olive oil and full-fat dressing. Continue with P2 fruits and add other low GI fruits like berries. Ramp up to your BMR x activity calories within a few days and make sure you get them in! (Too little will make you gain at this point.) Google BMR and multiply by your activity level factor.

And finally, DO NOT CHEAT WITH SUGARS OR STARCHES! Very important.

OK so what does that mean LOL???
I do plan on starting to run again now that I am moving to P3, usually run 3 miles 2x/week and 5miles 1x/week since I am not training for any races right now

Ok so today had scrambled eggs for breakfast with my HC coffee
(Love my Keurig!)

snack: macadamia nuts, about 12

Lunch: tuna salad, dukes mayo, onions, celery mixed in with romaine lettuce and cherry tomatoes

Snack: Breve latte (Tall, double shot from Starbucks)

Dinner: Celery with blue cheese dressing and 8 roasted chicken wings
Glass of red wine, pinot noir

Cooking my breakfast and lunch as we speak!

I am planning on getting on that elliptical soon! Depending on how I do the next couple of days I might start P4 next Friday....I might start with a bit of oatmeal...not sure!

Would love some suggestions! I might have to do a thread on P4!

Still undecided as to what to do to lose these last 12 pounds. I might just keep slowly adding complex carbs and slowly decreasing the fat intake and calories. Might go back to calorie counting and exercise. Basically a WW diet...I'm kind of torn...while I love eating the way I am now...I really would LOVE to have some oatmeal and whole grain bread and pasta. I used to make my own bread which I might start up again depending on what I do. Or go back do another round...I just had such an awful time on P2 that the thought of doing it again makes me stressed

Well...hope I stay in the 157's tomorrow...cross your fingers for me ladies!

Hugs to you all, hope you had an amazing day

Woo Hoo Oneoftwo! P3 is waiting for you! Please follow P3 as closely as possible for as long as possible!

Sunny - Woo Hoo to you too! LOL

P3 Day 16 for me and scale shows 200.5 so down 1/2 pound from yesterday still up 1 pound from my LDW. Not bad but I had a cheat last night. Here's my menu:

B - 2 fried eggs, 2 large sausage patties
L - hamburger patty w/ mayo, mustard, hot dog w/ mustard, 1/2 cup broccoli salad
D - tuna salad w/ 1 egg, mayo, dill pickles on 2 pcs of toasted whole grain bread
S - peach cup w/ hwc added for yumminess!

I know I shouldn't have had it but I used to LOVE tuna salad sandwiches on warm wheat toast. This is only the second serving of bread I have had since October 24th! I had that croissant at Cheddars last week.
When I got home from work DH & I went to Best Buy to take his phone in and it took 2 hours to go thru the process of getting a loaner phone just so they can send him a refurb phone in the mail. Then we had to go to Kroger to get his DD some groceries and my stomach was growling. I was going to stop somewhere but was sick of hamburger meat so just decided to wait til we got home. He was aggravating the mess out of me too and I was getting pretty with him! I guess he didn't understand I was hungry and it wasn't time to be acting like a goober about stuff! Anyway, I got home, fixed the tuna, ate and passed out on the couch. I was so tired!

Now this morning got an email from my Cousin inviting me over for a spaghetti dinner tonight, KNOWING I'm on a LC diet! UGH!!! I told her I already have plans and will have eaten before I get there which is true!

Have a great day everyone and here's to hoping the scale is lovely to me in the morning after having 20 carbs of wheat bread last night. Didn't calculate in the fiber to get net carbs.

Now thinking about it I shouldn't have done it. I'm going out to Mexican Friday after work then going to my Dad's for the weekend and they like to criticize people about what they eat and think they know everything! So not ready to be around them when it comes to food. Hopefully, we will go to a steak house for dinner Sat night. I'll just pass up any other non LC stuff they eat. We normally have Jersey Mikes subs on Sunday afternoon so I guess I might get a salad or a ww sub depending on how this bread affects me.

It sounds like your multiplier would be somewhere between 1.375 (2-3 times per week exercise) and 1.55 (3-5 times a week), putting your calories between 1788 and 2015. I would err on the higher end--since it sounds like you are pretty fit--and shoot for around 2000. For reference the BMR multipliers are (from memory)...

1.2 - sedentary
1.375 - exercise 2-3 times per week
1.55 - exercise 3-5 times per week
1.75 - exercise 6-7 times per week
1.9 - exercise twice daily or competition training

Good morning ladies!
I was at 200.0 on the first weigh in then 200.5 on subsequent weigh ins this a.m. DANG! I wasn't prepared for a correction day. I'm going to see how it goes eating clean P3. Besides, my technical first weight was ok. Does it sound like I'm making excuses?

So far today:
coffee with HWC
salad with feta and bleu cheese dressing and Havarti cheese.

I don't know what I'll do for dinner. The thought of chicken thighs is just ughhhh! Anyway, I may just eat my P2 chili I had planned without the cheese and sourcream.

Have a great day!

It's okay Jeanette - Hopefully today since you're not prepared for a CD, tomorrow you won't need it!!! I noticed we are so close in weight! Not a good thing huh! LOL

Today's menu

B - 2 egg & hwc omelette w/ cheese & 2 sausage patties w/ sf syrup & cup of fv capp w/ sf caramel syrup
L - 2 cans of tuna w/ mayo, onion, dill pickles, BIG side salad w/ onions, cucumbers, pepperoni w/ ranch & some sort of italian dressing w/ only 1 carb
S - few pecans
D - grilled tilapia, shrimp cocktail/maybe fajitas? & green beans

Just realized I haven't drank any water today! Better get on it asap I did great on water yesterday!

I'm sitting here staring at this huge bowl of tuna thinking about how I'm going to eat it now that I'm full from the salad! I should have eaten the tuna first! Trying to get in veggies and protein so huh but more lacking in protein area...DH might eat the rest of what I can't except he dislikes mayo only loves that yucky stuff miracle whip!

hi guys! day 1 of p3 here.

I got myself out of the breakfast habit during p2, so today I was too freaked out to eat it. I had a spoonful of coconut manna (yummmm!) and some hot tea. I wasn't hungry at lunch but I had steak and some cooked broccoli slaw (which I won't get again because of the CARROTS, gah!) and that was it...it was ON. I'm SO hungry! I guess the HCG is out of my system, hahaha!

also, perfect timing because tom should be here in maybe 4 days and I'm starting to bloat. so maybe I'll just whatever items I'm supposed to and not worry about my set weight until I'm a few days in. because I'm already holding stupid water.

so here's my question. what's the calorie ceiling on p3? or is there really one? according to one site, my maintenance calories are about 2500, but that seems WAY too high and frankly scares me!

Star - have you figured your BMRx? See above post to 1of2. I know it seems like a lot but I looked at it THIS way... I WANTED my body to stabilize higher. The point is to really make your body WANT those excess calories. Then, if you DON'T have them, you LOSE weight. What a concept, eh? Calories in, calories out. Kinda like a normal person...

Ditto what Shelby said, eating at the max of your calories works! I'm supposed to eat 1750 but I truly average around 2000 and I'm only 5 feet!

Today I had my eggs and coffee

Lunch was brocolli with cheese and applegate beef dogs (2)

Snacks: macadamia nuts and an apple

Dinner: Pompano fish with grilled veggies in a lemon butter sauce

Oh and I bought a teeny coffee maker and made myself coffee in my office. I have a pretty sweet setup in there! I have a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker
My office smelled like Starbucks lol...well per my students lol. I said why thank you, you should always feel cozy in the guidance counselors office lol!

Miamiloca I'm in Jupiter so 15 min north of west palm beach and about 40 min north of you

Natasha I hope you do well with the bread! We are close to P4 so I hope you show no gains! I am so not daring. Freaked about P4

Forgot to add havIng mug cake today with whipping cream and berries!!!

ok, I'm going to eat what I can manage (including the coco crack I made, which I MESSED UP, believe it or not, grrrr...stupid touchy erythritol! it'll still be tasty though), and then add it up at the end of the day. if I'm nowhere near, or way over, I'll start tracking calories to be sure I get enough.

If it helps, during my first P3 I needed 2300 calories too. My day looked like this...

B - Protein shake with coconut milk and MCT oil ~300cals
S - Hard boiled egg and a serving of bacon or sausage ~300cals
L - Big a$$ salad with avocado, full-fat dressing and 7oz of fatty meat (usually chicken thigh with skin), apple ~700cals
S - Full fat Greek yogurt with 3oz of berries ~300cals
D - 7oz fatty meat, veggies with 2T butter, 3oz berries with 2T HWC ~700

I make my breakfast and lunch the night before.
I either have greek yogurt or my scrambled eggs (2) and those I just reheat in the microwave. I make them with about two tbs butter lol...

The greek yogurt I add truvia to and usually raspberries or blueberries.

If I didn't do that I for sure would never eat breakfast or lunch! I also make my coffe with heavy whipping cream, it's my favorite!

I also LOVE coconut butter, I use the Artisana brand. It's a quick way for me to rack up calories. I mix it with cocoa powder and splenda (or truvia) and eat it by the spoon! Tonight i had it with apple slices, it's very decadent

Oh and check out pg.7 on this thread for a picture of my mug cake...thanks to the ladies on this board I found the perfect recipe

OMG I just realized I start P4 on Monday! I'm so not ready, I have no idea what to eat? How do I even begin this scary journey? Did 3 weeks really pass by so quickly? That's insane!

I feel like a kid in a swimming pool and their mom has taken off the floaties and is saying, let go of the rails and swim! Eeeek!!

You ladies are making me drool! I'm on a correction day. My weight this morning was 201.5, up 1 pound from yesterday. But at least today I'm prepared. I cooked my chicken thighs last night. I know there are other correction days, but this one is good, easy to do and as long as it works. I can do it for another day.

I start P4 on December 4 (that's this weekend). The first thing I want to try is to add beans. I love beans, so that's my first starch. I think I will make P2 chili and add beans.

I'm like you all, I'm nervous!

Have a great weekend! and ENJOY your food! YUM YUM!

aboard Star!! P3 is awesome!!

Mmmm these desserts sound so good! I have yet to order the sweetners and cocoa so not made any desserts yet.

Memory - I BEANS too! I was thinking of doing a P3 style P4 but beans do sound good! I love black beans, lima beans, green peas, pinto beans, kidney beans. I may do the same thing once I get into P4 and add in some beans!

P3 Day 17 for me and down 1/2 a pound to 1/2 a pound above my LDW at 200!! So stoked! I ate those 2 slices of ww toast on Wed evening and it didn't seem to have an effect on me! Woot Happy Dance!

Going out tonight for birthday dinner so will be careful.

B - 2 scrambled eggs or omelete & serving of bacon
L - hamburger patty, hot dog, broccoli salad, leftover guacamole
D - some sort of margarita, chips & salsa (few) & lc meal
S - cocoa roasted almonds

Have a GREAT DAY everyone!

Ugh...just doing a clean day again, breakfast is GY no fruit, then tuna with mayo and some lettuce and dinner just a steak.

Having my coffee though, let's see how this goes
