Question about HCG

I'm starting my third week of the program, my question is, is it normal to weigh the same every 2 days? Kinda of a bummer but I am losing I just wondered if it has happened to anyone else. I stay under the 500 cals. the first week I was losing everyday but then it started being every 2 days, just wondered. Thanks!

Pounds and Inches says to expect that, especially for women..

I have those days too, and find that either beef or salt (soy sauce) stall me.
Track you food and maybe you will see what is causing the stall.

Just keep on doing the right thing and you will see results :-)

thanks, winders. You know maybe it is the salt, I'll have to cut back on it.

Oh, and drink lots and lots of water.
I tend to not drink as much water as I should on weekends, and I always see the results (not so good) on Mondays weigh in.

You're still losing weight. There's no way you can't be, if you're following protocol. The same weights or (gods forbid) up weights are all the result of water. The female body has a million and one reasons why it retains water. Salt, hormones, allergies, not enough water, just because... don't sweat it. Drink more water and keep on trucking, trust that the process is working.

Don't give up on your body...
I just broke through a 10 day plateau range of 2 lbs up/down no cheats clean eating but experimenting with food combinations. Then pow...-1.4 lb loss two days in a row. Clean eating, lots of water, enough sleep (pretty much in that order).

Perfectly normal. That indeed may be your pattern for losing if it keeps up. Some drop a bit of weight every day. Some people drop only every 3rd day, but then they get to see whooshes!! Hey, as long as you are losing it is all good, right remember that it could be worse!!!

It is normal, and the trend for everyone I know is down, up or same, overall average loss is down and generally at .5 to .4 pound per day at the end of the round. Inches keep coming off during no sugar/starch phase and make a difference too!

Thanks all, it truly helps to have friends going through the same thing. I only hope the cravings go away. I wish I could stop thinking about stuff and how good it tasted to me. For some reason buttered popcorn has been driving me crazy right now along with wanting chocolate BUT I have worked too hard to lose what I have so there's no way I'm going to cheat even alittle bit. I just hope it quits driving me so crazy!!

Yep this happened to me. I didn't freak out b/c I remembered reading that some days you won't lose weight but check your inches. Maybe no inches either but at least you're not gaining. This 2nd week I've really slowed down. I lose one day and not the next. They recommended eating lots of sea salt so I've been using it when normally I don't use any salt at all. I also find that when I'm at home I don't drink near as much water as I do when at work. AND I think the beef wasn't breaking down in me so I've cut that out for more than a few days. I think I'm back on track now. So there's all kind of things.

Hi there, another question?? Is it really neccessary to eat different proteins during the day or can I have chicken at lunch and dinner? Fixed up quite a few meals ahead and I really don't want them to spoil. Thanks!!

I know Dawn doesn't subscribe to this theory but a lot of us load low-carb/high-fat OR at the very least confine our serious carby or sugary "indulgences" to the first loading day. It seems to help a bit with hunger and detox the first week. JMHO

Well now Shelby!!! Don't be so quick to say that. I did low carb on my first load days of my first round and it was the best round ever!!!! I wanted to load on what I already had in the house and didn't want to go overboard. And I didn't do any sugar. Since then, I have gotten cocky and figure, if I am going to lose it so fast why not indulge in what I like/love?? Guess what? It worked then too!! So now I just think of what I really really want and know that is comes off in the first 2 days of P2. Frankly there are no loading rules. He really just says load with high fat items. Pretty vague if you ask me. But whatever floats your boat!!

It's all good, Dawn. I was just throwing out a different perspective. And I completely agree that in P&I Simeons does not specify what to load on--in fact, I think he does mention to eat sweets and starches, specifically. YOU may not have seen any difference in your rounds but I sure did! I just like to let people know that sometimes there ARE consequences to eating those things. Still friends?

Heck yeah!!!! How can I be hating on you girl??!! I loves ya I say, "whatever you want to do, then go ahead and do it!!". Have you realized my relaxed attitude lately?? I totally love protocol but have figured out for me what is best!!! And following it to a T is best but sometimes I am not perfect. I just don't beat myself up any more over it. Finally....only took me 9 rounds to figure out This will be my last round of hcg. I am determined to make it so.

In P2, steak day is a stall buster and ONLY if you have been the same weight for 4+ days. In P2 you would fast during the day and eat both steak portions for dinner (so 7oz) plus a raw tomato. (And this is NOT protocol as far as I can remember.)

In P3, steak day is a correction day and you use it only if you are out of your window. In P3, you fast all day and eat a big a$$ honking steak (as big as you can find) with a big raw tomato or a raw apple for dinner.

HTH

It's not protocol so you can really do whatever you want. Don't expect magic results if you eat basically a P2 menu with steak twice, though.

No, I'm talking when I go into P3. Can't you just eat your huge steak all day long, is what I meant.

Some people do that--eat steak at lunch and at dinner. It's not the "traditional" steak day but then neither is the roasted chicken day and that's MY favorite!
