Awe Jen! Sorry about the height...maybe check that yourself, sometimes Dr's scales and measuring devices (or measurers!) are not right! I once measured out 5'5" on a scale in the pre-op room in an ER and I said LOUDLY, "THATS NOT RIGHT!!!" so the nurse trotted me out in my gown to another scale and sure enough, I measured a more accurate 5'7 1/2". If you're sure it's right...it's ok...5'2" makes you fall into the height category of "preciously petite" SO you can't lose

Excellent work in P4 m'dear! Just excellent!

I have read all the posts but have near-zero energy today so no personals. I'm doing a third day of loading though now that I'm in it I'm having regrets. My body is loaded enough and is ready to hit the road, if you know what I mean. So today will only be a half-@$$ed load. Tomorrow I will begin VLCD1 and see where this round takes me. I'm going to try and go more organic and see if that helps me as it did Deb.

Deb, you mentioned a brand of chicken. The one I bought had Paula Dean's smiling face on the package. I don't remember the name and don't care enough to go see what it says. Whatever they are, I'm eating them.

It will be a challenge to not eat beef this round. But the chicken breast will be grilled and then sliced into 100 gram serving portions. I decided to go ahead and eat the broccoli and cauliflower florets that I bought that are already in the steamer bags. I can just spritz them with zero cal butter spray and have a little of it with each "meal."

ladies; i have a window of the computer working. well i was FINALLY down this morning to 158...thank goodness something happened lol. had a super long day. it was -36 this morning, in celcius...conversion would be -33 degrees F.

anyhow, someone showed me this cool thing...he said, have you ever seen anyone make snow?? i was confused but he took a cup of hot hot water and threw it up in the air. it froze instantly and showered down as snow. very very cool. i guess we have to find ways to entertain ourselves at this temp. all i could think of was getting a photo for you cheryl thought you would find it interesting.

anyways, hope things keep moving for me and jen, welcome to 5'2" lol, sorry you were disappointed, its exactly same height as me

i will have 30 ish to go in january as well, we will do it together!!!!!!

hope everyone is well, i will read and catch up.

I've seen videos of people doing that! It's so cool. It made me smile when you said you thought of me at that moment. You just scored major points in my heart.

I'm glad you are down to a new low! There are a lot of us with 30-ish lbs to lose in this final push. Let's all push through this together! We're in great company.

As far as Jen measuring in 2 full inches less, that's got to be an error, like Deb said. Some people are just in a big hurry and they don't take the time to do it right (or maybe it's the equipment.) Have someone make a pencil mark on a doorway, using a ruler. Then measure from the floor to the mark. (My parents did that for us kids when we were growing up. That doorway was full of pencil marks, names and ages.)

I haven't seen Paula's brand but I'd buy it I love me some Paula Dean. The brand I get is Smart Chicken. It's what they carry at the Price Chopper in my town, and also at our local Walmart.

hello! haven't had much time to spend on here. Miss you all too!
I'm doing good. But my muscles are sore in my legs. Hmmmm
Thinking of starting the drops again. I want this weight gone. P3 has been fine and I have been eating enough to satisfy me. No cheese or much dairy. Just increased fats and calories.
I'm headed to sleepland bc the baby will be here at 9 waking me up. LOL
Good night!

Hope you got some sleep, Tammy! You were up late last night. How long have you been on P3 now? No CD's needed yet? I don't blame you for wanting to cycle back into P2.

Deb, I will be trying that chicken today. I'm going to weigh a raw breast and then cook it on the grill outside with some seasoning and then slice up a little less than 100 grams (to compensate for it being cooked.) Were you allowed to use WF dressings on salads? Just curious.

Hoping everyone has a nice on-plan day today. Last two days of November! New Red Hot's thread coming up fast!

Sure the WF stuff was fine for salads and I frequently kept myself sane by using the WF chocolate dip on strawberries.

All this self-defeating behaviour has just gotten me so far behind! I really expected to be at goal by the end of September but I let this and that and the other thing hinder me. No more! I'm just DONE with all that nonsense. I see it for what it is and I'm shocked that I fell for it.

Let's do what we need to do to accomplish the goal and to maintain all our hard work and self-discipline!

Hi guys! I feasted for Thanksgiving (three different feasts--acckkk!), but I'm back on track today, and ready to get stable and then move to P3 for the duration of the year. As of today, I'm up 3 pounds from my pre-Thanksgiving weight, but I hope that will come off fairly quickly.

Hope everyone had a lovely holiday. I'm headed backwards through the thread to get all caught up with my Red Hots!

Jessica, I know it won't be long before you find that "just right" weight to stop at and to practice maintaining at. It's only a matter of a few days! How exciting is that? What will you be making during P3? (No steak this time, unless it's what you really want!)

Good Morning!

Hope everyone is well and losing or stabilizing. I'm getting a little bored with my food choices, so I'm adventuring in to the OWL plan a bit. Having an occasional bag of popcorn does help! Along with a diet coke!!! Last night hubby grilled turkey burgers, but the meat tasted bad...so out they went. So all i had for dinner was brussel sprouts! Hope I WON'T BE RAVENOUS THIS AM. :-)

LATER...

I don't think I'd even call that a stall then, jsd...It is usually said that it takes 3 full days of protocol to recover from one day of 'cheating'...so you'd have to count 6 days to recover from 2 days of bad eating, especially if there was any fat involved in your indiscretions. Carbs 'wash away' pretty fast with increased water intake and clean eating, but the fat interrupts what you've been doing with greater efficiency. Sounds like you're in good shape now. Just go ahead on protocol and stay clean.

Checking in on VLCD2 with great losses. Water weight is out'a'here! I felt lighter and thought I'd see 173 on the scale, but then thought that was a bit much to hope for. Then saw 171.6! Oh my Lord, how I wish every week on HCG could be like the first week. Or even at least HALF as good as the first week!

I hope everyone is doing well today. If you are struggling, it doesn't last forever. I'll be slugging it out with you in only a matter of time.

Deb, I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy that organic chicken! It is so tender and juicy! I didn't expect that when I sliced into it and it was like on a commercial or something. I had a cup of steamed broccoli with zero cal butter spray and just seasoned the chicken with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Grilled it outside and it was a marvelous meal.

Morning, dahlings. I weighed in at 161.0, so only a pound and a half to be back at the weight I seemed to have settled at, 159.4. So I'm pleased!

I'm off to shop for Christmas gifts today, and I plan to do some wrapping when I get home. It stresses me out not to have all that done early--my December is always jam-packed with music events, so I don't want shopping hanging over my head!

Hello Ladies!! What a roller coaster of a week I have been having. I haven't posted because I have been a little frustrated lately. I have made it through Thanksgiving good - no gains, but then I don't know what happened or possessed me! But I derailed a couple of days. I think it was because my ex-boyfriend, who is still at the house, brough in a lot of junk food . I really tried to resist, but i stumbled a couple of times! I think it may be the whole break-up too. Hard to let go after 2 years together - but we just want different things.

Although my weight did move slightly up one day, it was right back down the next. I guess with the cheating I did do, I should be grateful that I maintained my weight 5 out of the 7 days.

I picked myself up and dusted off with a new found focus and attitude! And today I dropped 1.6lbs!! WOOHOO! FINALLLLYYYYY!!! So I am at 23pounds and have I have 8 more days on Phase2 (40days), then I will be going on my first Phase 3, nervously...lol!

I am trying to decide what to use next during Phase 3 - Southbeach or Atkins. Any Veteran's have any suggestions or thoughts about this?

That's great news, Trish! Sorry for the break-up but better to acknowledge your differences now than 5 years from now. I would steer clear of Southbeach for P3 simply because they allow grains (low glycemic) and there are no starches or sugars allowed in P3. Atkins is the way to go.

Jessica, I hope you are enjoying your shopping! I prefer to shop online and have things mailed to my home. Hate crowds, no places to park (btw; I think if you can't find a parking spot after driving around for 6 minutes, you qualify as Handicapped. ), lines, etc.

I have a date to go hiking at a state park this coming Friday morning. My sister said she was going so for once I said I'd join her. I have to do things that are outside of my comfort zone and force me to improve physically and this is a good place to start. I realized after I said I'd go that I had an appointment for 10 am that day already. I cancelled it! I know this is more important.

She has decided to celebrate Christmas on the 26th when her son flies home for a few days. I told her that I'm not eating the food no matter what she makes. I'm done going off plan. I told her I'd just help her out a lot to keep busy. It will be the last 5 days of my P2 so I can always take something P3-friendly home and freeze it for the New Year. I'll be drinking lots of coffee and water.

I wonder what I'll be weighing and wearing that day? Hmmmm. That's 26 days from today. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that I'll be at least 153.6. That's 18 lbs and that might be achievable. I know things slow way down near goal, but it's been 13 years since I've been in that weight range. My memory is more than cloudy.

Been watching videos on Youtube about riding. I am studying up so that I'll look less like a novice when I set foot over there.

Hope everyone is well today! Keep on plugging!

So gave him mylanta and he just woke up after sleeping on my couch in my bedroom. I always know when he's sick.....he's in my room! Whats he gonna do when he leaves? I'm getting teary-eyed so I better stop this!
I'm down a pound today! Yayyyyy! Forgot my drops this morning so my 3 doses are going to be kinda close together. Oh well....
Christmas tree is going up today! Love it!!!!

I'm pretty sure you are supposed to weigh the chicken (any meat) raw. I've tried weighing it before and after cooking and it weighs about half as much after cooking. So if I cut up after cooking I only put 50 gram servings in my lunchbox (during VLCDs) .

I've gotten to the point that I don't weigh my proteins much any more. I am eating slightly larger portions of protein than protocol (four ounces of beef, and probably six ounces of chicken or fish), and not much eating the starch or all of the fruit. That just works better for me, I've found. But yes, I think according to protocol, you do weigh your protein raw.

I do weigh it raw normally. This breast I weighed was 186 grams raw so technically I could eat the whole thing in one day (which I ended up doing because I was hungry last night). The one I cooked today was 178 grams raw and I scarffed that down in my one and only meal. We'll see what the scale says tomorrow. I can go hours and hours without eating, but when it's mealtime, I want a little more than a couple of bites!

Jessica, how was your shopping? Tammy, I hope you're feeling much better now. How are you?

Guess what??? I'm still awake! 1:39 a.m. and wide awake!
Hi Cheryl! I'm alright. I still have my headache and stomache hurts. I'm taking mylanta for my stomach & since I can't take ibuprofen (because of my procedure on the 12th) I'm taking tylenol.

My nightly weigh-in has me lower than last night so hoping for another loss in the morning. I know it might seem weird to weigh at night and its just to humor myself, but it amuses me! What can I say!?!? LOL
I ate kinda crappy today. A bowl of rice krispies (I always have), 3 scrambled eggs (I eat often) and I ate a couple hot dogs (my ff beef ones). I eat odd things! LOL
Hope everyone is well and wish you all fantastic weigh ins in the morning!

Up .2 this morning. I'm not surprised one bit. I didn't go to sleep til late, then up early. I just didn't sleep well. Today is a new day and I'll do better.
My kids got the tree up and its really nice. My daughter bought pink & purple bulbs and they're pretty. The baby likes the tree! Too bad she doesn't know whats going on.
Have a nice day!

Sorry you didn't sleep well. Tylenol just doesn't cut it when you're used to Ibuprofen. I never take Tylenol. It seems like the weakest of all OTC pain meds. If you got a fever, then Tylenol is your man.

jsd79, hope you hang around! I could never get how people could be chronic lurkers. I have too much to say!

Tammy, sometimes I weigh later in the day just to see where I'm at, but usually only if I hadn't eaten or drank much up until that time. I think it was Melanie on the rogue thread that weighed herself several times during the day. It was because of her that I started testing the waters. Sometimes it's good, sometimes not. Most days I just do the morning weigh-in.

After 2 days on VLC, I'm down 6.4! I wish the first-week losses continued into week 2, 3, and 4. Maybe this round will be different! I'm skipping grains this time and eating fruit only every so often.

UGH!!...Another stall day! I seem to be doing that a lot of that in the second half of my phase! Lose one day stall for 2 or 3...vicious cycle!!

But at least I am losing instead of gaining over the past 6 weeks! At this rate I will be estatic to hit 30 pounds this Phase!! Just got to get those last 7 stubbon pounds off in the 9 days!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!
