Eko, I don't have that brand, but when doing OWL I had up to 100cal of Popcorn or crisp breads and it didn't seem to harm then. if you want to be scientific. Have a meal one day and the next day have the same foods but with the tortilla, and see if there is any difference. but be aware that the "damage" may not show up the next morn but the morning after. Don't know why, but it's a diet meme I guess.

Start Date: 05/18/2013 Round ???
Morning ladies,
So TOM visited yesterday... right on schedule, and I was pleasantly surprised even though I had to white knuckle it through the night (wanted to binge so bad) that I had a loss of 1.2 this morning. So I am just 1.6 or really 1.8 from being in the 140s again!! Come on new decade!!

Minimo, you are strong. Sounds like you made it through the rest of the night okay?? Were you rewarded this morning??

I weighed & up exactly 2 lbs. So no CD! Today I'm having chicken thighs baked in butter! YUM!!! I'm thirsty, so I imagine I'm having some dehydration going on.
Thank you for your kind words of understanding. Now I don't feel so bad. It was an emotional night at the end of the party. He's my baby and always will be. This next month and a half is going to fly. He leaves Jan 3rd for Ft Benning to go thru Basic training and Airborne Ranger training. He'll be there 16 weeks. Then he comes home for 2 weeks then off to his duty station.
He said last night hes not afraid of dieing (sp?), hes sad to leave us behind.

Howdy, ladies. Tay, sorry for the feeling of loss you are experiencing. I have nothing to offer to make it less painful, but extend to you a warm cyber hug.

Yes, Paula would make a great spokesperson for La Tortilla brand products. Oddly enough, that just might sell!

After Paula made that great post yesterday (about where she was a year ago, weight-wise), I decided to look back to see where I was on this date last year. I was 204.6! So, when I weighed today (having regained some and feeling crappy on multiple levels), I weighed 178.8. So, more hills to climb before I get home, but I'm still down 25.8 lbs from last year on this date.

I can't believe how lousy my body feels at this weight! I mean, I thought when I stepped on the scale today that I was going to be in the mid 180's. I was bracing myself for that number and was surprised I was still in the 70's. My joints and frame just can't handle this kind of chub. I don't know how it ever did.

I'm thinking I had more muscle this time last year. I bet I lost some with all the dieting I've done this year. How else can I explain how horrible my body feels at this weight? I remember coming DOWN to this weight and feeling great! I guess perspective is everything!

Well, the party is over here. I'm going to abstain from all the foods I've been indulging in and retrain my spoiled taste buds to learn to love what it used to, not that long ago. Even coffee with Ez Sweetz tastes nasty to me lately. I can't have that! Coffee is a staple in my diet.

Cathy, WTG on almost being into the 140's! You can do it!

To everyone else I didn't mention, I'm happy for you and I'm glad to read how everyone is doing. I'm still getting my sea legs back, so bear with me.

Wow, Tay --that has to be an emotional roller coaster -- I can't imagine having a loved one in the armed services -- may he stay safe!

Glad the scale didn't whack you too badly today, too!

Hexa -- excellent drop!!!! Keep up what you are doing -- it is clearly working!

Paula and Cheryl -- thanks for putting things in perspective for all of us.

Cathy --- yes, you can definitely do this for two more weeks!!! Congrats on the success so far!!

I did stay strong yesterday -- but was only down a measly .2 today. I am still 1.2 lbs higher than my pre-refeed weight... seriously, the refeed was only about 2000 calories all told, I think!

Oh well, what's done is done, and it is coming off, albeit very slowly.

Today is a normal rogue p2 day again for me. I am going to do everything in my power to break 110 this coming week, even if it means going super low calorie, or even fasting.... it is time to get this show on the road.

I am hoping maybe some inch loss is happening during this slow scale period -- that has been my pattern in the past -- inches tend to come off while the scale is slow. I'm not measuring, but I do have some very unforgiving jeans that don't lie to me... so I will be able to tell when the inches are leaving.

My shape is a bit different this time around, interestingly enough. When I hit goal at the beginning of the year, I had no hips or butt left, but my waist looked thick by comparison.

This time, my waist is getting small, and I am retaining a lot more of the hourglass shape... I hope that sticks. I like having a few curves. I still want to get back into my goal jeans, but I like the overall shape of my body at the moment -- I just want to scale the whole thing down another size.

WTG on making it through yesterday and last night without caving in. That is not my strong suit. Sorry the scale didn't reward you much today. But that's pretty cool about your shape changing! I hope it becomes what you like it to be the most. I'm definitely an hour glass type.

Cheryl, good for you with the attitude. I seriously believe we only fail when we quit trying. EAch and every attempt is another chance to succeed!! You can do it, and we are all here together!!

Minimo, well, down is still down and not up right? Good job on hanging tough and hopefully you will be rewarded with a bigger number tomorrow! I am probably at least 2 days still from seeing 140s, but I am gonna be so good so hopefully I will see it!!! Lets do it ladies, about 2 weeks or so until Thanksgiving, lets all get as far as we can and move to P3 or at least an interrupt for TG!!!

I am thinking I may just do a one day interrupt for Thanksgiving... assuming we even do anything for TG, which we may not --- or maybe just fast before and after the meal, and keep the meal itself to a minimum. It's kind of sad, thinking about how many holidays I have spent worrying about what to eat/not eat/etc. I think that's been the norm rather than the exception

I am really, really wanting to start this coming year at goal -- and I think I can do it. I'm wanting to lose 12.8 lbs all told, and that then gives me 5 lbs of rebound room in maintenance -- I should be able to do that, right?

I started this year on p2, and I want to end it at goal, and be in maintenance for the new year. It's been a lot of ups and downs, but I want the overall result to be one of success.

I don't like the holidays much -- I tend to get depressed around this time of year -- but I actually do like New Years -- I like a fresh start (and my birthday falls between Christmas and New Years too, so it is a new year in a couple of ways.)

Part of me is tempted to do a p3 break for a few weeks, so I can enjoy some lc legal holiday treats... but that is likely to mean starting the new year on p2 again. I think I'd rather just tough it out and enjoy my treats at maintenance.

If I thought I could stay at my LDW and not rebound, I'd be setting my final LDW a bit higher, but I doubt that will happen... and I don't want to be struggling with a million correction days.

I just did a Netrition order -- sugar free syrups mostly, as a treat to myself for the holiday treats I won't be eating. Also some coconut flour and some carbquick, which I will use later in p4. (I might be able to do the coconut flour, sparingly, in p3) . I did NOT order hhcg.

I have my current bottle of hhcg, and a whole unopened bottle of pellets -- that should easily get me through the first of the year, and I am determined not to need it after this.

Thank you all for the kind words. Its hard knowing I'm sending him off to do something he really isn't prepared for. I'm a veteran and so is my husband so we have told him. But thats not the same as going through it. And the whole airborne thing is driving me nuts!
Eating chicken thighs baked in butter today! Mmmm!

Tay -- As veterans yourselves, you and your husband must be very, very proud of your son! I can't even imagine what you must be feeling right now ... but I am sure that he will rise to the challenge and do you, and our country, proud. I know you will miss him terribly.

Why is the airborne thing particularly bothering you? Pardon my ignorance on these matters.....

Carrie, I use the oat fiber and then do not have to use the CF for the OMM!!

Minimo, I think thats a great idea, not being on P2 next year, starting the year without the resolution of ......THIS YEAR.... I AM GOING TO BE AT MY GOAL WEIGHT.... that would be great to be .... THIS YEAR, I AM GOING TO STAY SKINNY AND HEALTHY AND EAT RIGHT..... Thats going to be mine if i get there! I am going to probably do a week interrupt... because Thanksgiving and my birthday is also the 29th of this month, so go on P3 the day before Thanksgiving, then start the day after my birthday, back on P2, hopefully to finish out to goal!!!

Happy almost birthday, Cathy! Mine's the 28th of Dec. It's a love/hate thing with a holiday birthday -- but as an adult, I have come not to mind it so much.

Let's do this thing! I believe we can both make goal before the first of the year.

I know you ladies can make it! You're so close right now. I'm rooting for you both!

Carrie, I've never made an OMM in P2 but I have both carbquick and coconut flour. How do you make yours? It's been so long since I made one that I wonder if I remember how!

Thanks everyone for the info on the tortillas. I have been going crazy with cravings for a Del Taco Combo Burrito...I didn't even eat them all that often before HCG, now they are all I think about! I am hoping the Mama Lupe Tortillas help me get that out of my system.

dazygirl - I'll look for the Sara Lee bread. I'd like to give that a try too.

metqa - Great suggestion for an experiment to gauge just how these grain products affect me.

Didn't get to eat chicken. Barbeque sauce was put on them! So I just cooked bacon n eggs. I didn't eat nearly enough today. I'm so full though! All I had was 1 cup of 1% cottage cheese, 3 slices of bacon w/ 3 eggs cooked in the bacon grease. I am getting some almonds tomorrow to help w/ fat and calories.
Waiting for the steeler game at 8 (EST) tonight! I love watching them!

At least I am having a day with no hunger -- that is a blessing.

I really don't feel close to goal at all, but I suppose in the grand scheme of things I am. Not counting the extra wiggle room, it is about 8 lbs.... and I should definitely be able to get that off in 2 months of dieting!

Enjoy the game, Tay! Sorry to hear about your chicken It is great that you aren't hungry in p3 -- I've tended to be completely ravenous in p3, and am really hoping that doesn't happen again this time.

cheryl...i make them a couple of ways.

1/4 cup egg beaters
vanilla extract
2 T coconut flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp baking soda
pinch salt
1/4 cup sweetener of choice...don't use all liquid tho

combine wet and dry ingredients separately then together. put in microwave safe bowl sprayed with non-stick spray. cover with saran wrap and poke a hole in it. cook it for 1 min - 1 min 15 sec.

version 2

all the same except instead of 2T of coconut flour, i use 1 T CF, 2T cocoa powder. for a chocolate version.

these are 90 cals for the first one and 80 cals for the chocolate one.

I'm super chatty today -- guess that is because I am home and online all day doing work.

I made a super yummy low cal treat tonight.... 2 very small gala apples, heated up in the microwave and topped with sf pancake syrup, and then on top of that fat free cottage cheese mixed with pumpkin pie spice and splenda -- OMG that was yummy! Probably came out to about 200 calories or so, and was very satisfying.

Just thought I'd share

The one minute muffins sound good... I will give those a try when I am in maintenance.
