AS for the gain... I ate a potato and cheese burrito and a couple big mary mountain cookies and some froyo.... I react horribly to sugar and carbs and in excess, I put on 5 lbs in the blink of an eye!!! Sucks, but thats how my body works... it holds water so bad when I eat too much sugar!! Thanks Carrie. I was in a groove, fell out of it now, but hopefully to find my way back into it!!

Count me in the hating p2 club right now -- not sure what happened... I was on such a roll, and then I sort of started tanking out emotionally. I'm not hungry really, and I am not cheating no matter how badly I want to do that... but I am kinda hating it.
If you count this round from the beginning, I think it has been about 8 weeks (with a couple of 1 day refeeds in there) -- so maybe it is just the length of time that is getting to me. Hmph. I will continue, frustrated or no..... |

I'm not jazzed either, Cheryl -- about the diet, or anything else really. I finally admitted today that I think I am in a real depression
The cold and rain setting in, and the shorter days aren't helping. I'm rather prone to depression -- struggled with it all my life, and it runs on both sides of my family. I'm just keeping on, though -- plugging through day by day, and knowing that things get better -- they always do. |

Mini, sending you a big
right now. I have those unfortunate genes on both sides of my family tree, too. I don't know if it's true, but I was reading somewhere recently that going for tanning sessions can help with the SAD condition. I'm going to look into it. I couldn't care less about tanning but if it helps the spirits, I'm all for that!Yes, dieting sucks. And never reaching goal is sucky too. Seems I've been fighting to get there all these months (years) and if I had been on The Biggest Loser, they'd have had me at goal in 4 months time. ![]() Welp, turning back the clocks tonight before I go to sleep. Time for hibernation!

I eat one meal on EFGT days -- full fat yogurt, nut butter, and coconut oil melted with splenda and unsweetened cocoa powder ... ends up being about 1000 calories of mostly fat.
I sometimes add coconut milk to tea on those days too. Its one hearty fat bomb, and then a fast for the rest of the day. Seems to work for me. |

![]() Oh Gosh, I have to limit my time at Linda Sue's and other yummy food sights these days. So many things I want, but I decided to start a reducing plan, boo! EFGT, Well, I can eat anything I want as long as my ratios of Fat Protein and Carbs are 65/20/15 %. Me personally,...Let me check on of my menus... Okay some examples of what I on JUDDDing Up Days were: Artisan Bread dipped in Ghee, Bacon and Eggs with a Healthy Life English muffin with Cream cheese. Tuscano Soup, Black Bean Brownies, Whole milk Kefir, Porkrinds with Liver Pate and cream cheese, Carbsmart Ice cream with ghee and magic shell...various veggies as were suitable, like BF made sausage and peppers with onions and broccolli... I might have a slice of pizza or some sushi, but my meals will have been really high in fat so the pizza's or sushi's carbs are the least of my nutritional percentage that day. I like using ****** cause I can see where the FOOD shows up and it's easy to add fat by dipping, sauteeing, or stirring into the food. I love my Ghee and use it savory and sweet. It makes a great "pancake syrup" just by adding a bit of sweetener and doesn't make the pancake soggy from water like the Davinci and SF syrups sometimes do. My EFGT is pretty much the way I like to eat anyway( LC maint) with more fat freedom and a bit less carbs actually than if I weren't paying attention. The carbs become the garnish instead of the staple. Pizza crust or sushi rice being a treat instead of the main dish. The pasta as part of the soup or dish not the dish itself, though I've been jonesin for some lemon garlic shrimp on pasta lately, I dont know why. |

I really, really hope I see some good drops this coming week. I need the reinforcement in order to keep my momentum with this p2.
Ladies, we can do this... we will get to goal, and we will stay there. It may be taking forever, but it is possible. Thanks for the reminder about the clock, Cheryl, and good to see you here again!! |

Metga -- about how many calories were you eating on your up days?
I am beginning to think I am going to have to live low calorie for the rest of my life, and I am not much loving that idea. Juddd rather appeals to me for maintenance, and I may give it a try on p3... if I ever actually get to p3.... sigh.... Ignore my whining... I'm just feeling a bit discouraged at the moment. |

Great job resisting the cravings, Cathy. I am holding tough ... and as long as I keep getting results, I am going to keep doing what I am doing, even if I am kinda hating it at the moment.

Hi All,
stop by to get some inspiration and it seems we're all in a similar funk. I miss food! Went to my niece's bday dinner, I had chicken and salad and then when I got home I made my fish dinner without even thinking.. and as I was eating I rememberd I'd already eaten. aghhhh. I think a good night's sleep will help. I just hope it happens, last night was better than Thursday night (no nightmares) but still didn't sleep all that great. minimo: you are doing great, trying different things, just think about how much this rain is needed... the spring will come again! I've been on the depression train most of my life in fact I took three months off earlier this year to get my head straight (and kick out my now-ex)... it's getting better! see you all in the morning! rest rest rest |

I'm feeling very positive about the 4 pounds I lost because it came with 8 inches this last 8 weeks. Yes, at this rate, it's another 32 weeks before I hit goal... but at the rate the inches have come, I might reach it sooner, since it's about how I look, not a number. And the most important thing I think...is staying the same, not gaining, and getting lower, no matter how long it takes. I try to remind myself of how different I look compared to just 2 years ago, when I was well over 200 pounds. It might be harder to reach goal, but I've come a long way.

Hello Ladies!
I have some questions for you. While going rogue on P2, do any of you eat Mama Lupe's Low Carb Tortillas? I ordered some and am thinking of giving them a try. My rationalization goes something like this...On protocol we are allowed 2 melba toasts @ 20 calories each = 40 calories total, one Mama Lupe's tortilla is 60 calories therefore they are only 20 calories more than what we are already allotted. How bad could they be? Of course I would only eat one a day. Would they stall my weight loss? Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. If they are a bad idea I'll freeze them for later. I have read that they freeze well if you put sheets of wax paper between them. |

You guys are the best -- always saying the right things when I need to hear them. The reality is that this is tough.... and yes, I could stop here, make peace with my body, and move forward.. but I think I would always be disappointed if I did.... so onward I go to goal.
I am hungry tonight, but hanging tough... I can eat in the morning. |

Eko -- I have never tried them on p2, and I stay away from grains in general most of the time because I am a bit sensitive to them, but I'd say give it a try and see how you do... many of us have been able to get away with all manner of things while doing p2....lol.

Last night was a bust for me and I'm terrified of the scale! Beer, wine, chips and Mac n cheese!!!! We eclebrated my son's birthday, which will be his last one at home for many years. Yes, I was emotional and cried. Hugged and kissed him wishing he wasn't leaving. These holidays are gonna kill me emotionally. I'm crying now just thinking about it. I'm really going to miss him.

Yesterday I had ate approximately 750 calories which is what the OWL protocol allows. I ate some pecans because my lunch was the pits and I love Roast Seasme Seaweed. It's thin seaweed sheets and they are awesome.
I was a little anxious about the scale but I have decided this round I would try my best to keep up my exercise, eat more protein for muscle support and not become obessed with the scale. This morning my weight was down 2.5 pounds and I am happy with this. Especially since this is really my first time going rogue. This tread really makes it possible to believe this journey can be done successfully but with variety. ![]() I love having mixed vegetables. It really spices up life. Have a great day ladies. |

eko, I've also used tortillas. I really like the mission brand, but they are 80 calories and so good I'm tempted to have more than one a day. So I use the la tortilla brand sometimes on protocol. Those are 50 calories...and bad enough that one satisfies me. I do like the fiber as I have plenty of issues on protocol with keeping things moving.
Y'all will have to tell me how the mama lupe brand compares. Hexa Congrats on the drop! Tay So sorry...that's really tough, your last year with your baby. Enjoy every moment, and remember you're still his mom for life. |
