Do any of you use protein shakes? I am having trouble eating meat right now, and cottage cheese twice a day stalls me. I had a (yucky) shake last night and was down 1.8 today. I had a slightly better shake for lunch today, and will maybe try fish for supper.

I will definitely put up with a shake once a day if it helps with losses.

Using my powers of prediction...I'm sure it will be gone in 2-3 days (and mini's too). You gain it quick, but I've seen you lose it quick! Don't beat yourself up about it....

I'll be busy this afternoon, so I'll check in later.
Good job, and I'm sure that .5 will be gone tomorrow.

Congrats all the LOSERS on the thread.

I, of course, stayed the same this morning. It is my new pattern...

It's my up day, so have gotten to enjoy nice food today.

Hi Pugswin!!

To be completely honest, I've lost the same amount these first few days of R2 with Diet Coke as I did in R1 without diet coke. I'm not drinking TONS of it but I'm averaging about 2 cans of it a day. I once followed a protocol that allowed sweet n' low, so I would add like 4 packets of it to my iced tea. (that's the protocal that I used in R1 & I think I lost about 20 lbs in 3 weeks.)
So if you can't function with out Diet Coke like me... just give it a try... the worst thing than could happen is a short stall. I really don't think you'll gain by trying it. It is afterall calorie and sugar free.!! Good LUCK!!!

Oh I LOVE cocoa powder mixed with coconut oil - absolutely delicious!

I blew it today - have company at the house and everything went downhill. Blueberry muffin for breakfast, then some crackers with cheese & salami for a snack/lunch. Pasta on the menu for dinner - argh!

I knew I would be off plan this weekend for a few days but now not sure what to do - back on plan tomorrow then off for three days or just continue off plan until back next Tuesday?

I really don't want to completely screw up everything I've done thus far...

Also my Ex texted me last night that whatever I'm doing is working cause I looked hot. (We were at a meet my son's new teacher meeting yesterday afternoon)

Could this loss be water weight? I'm afraid I didn't drink enough yesterday.

Welcome new rougers and thank you to everyone on this thread, every post teaches me something new.

I was a little discouraged the first day because when I was taking drops (last round)...I had major losses the first few days...something like 3.5,2.5, and then like 1 lb losses each day there after.... If I continue with the losses I've been having this week I will probably lose just about the same amount of weight as last round (11 lbs.)...just at a more consistent rate.

How have your losses been so far with the Meridian pellets... Just out of curiousity, are your's in a blue or brown bottle?? (Mine is brown)... I was a bit doubtful at first but I'm losing...so that's good enough for me!! Well happy losing Ashes!!! Hope to hear back from ya!!!
Hi there! My losses don't seem to be as impressive as others, but I also don't weigh myself daily, I maybe do it once every couple of days, but even then I would prefer to do it just once a week. I've lost about 10 pounds in 14 days, not too bad, but my slip today and off plan over the weekend might screw that up a little.

My pellets are in a blue bottle - I like them, much easier than the drops and taste better too. Although yesterday and today I just seemed downright hungry and nothing had changed, it's kind of weird...

Sounds like you're doing great - keep up the good work!

I did last round, it was great. I have Designer Whey Protein Unflavored, and I think it tastes the best of the powders I've tried. I mix it with a couple of tablespoons of Cocoa powder and splenda to taste, and use either cold water, or coconut milk if I can afford the calories. Honestly I liked it with just plain water that's how good Designer whey is, no funny aftertastes. I often chill it in the freezer long enough to just form a few crystals for a chilled chocolate drink.

I've never tried fruit based protein shakes as I'm not a fan of fruit creams, but I'm gonna try strawberry Kefir tomorrow, so I might change my mind.

Also I've never tried the shakes made with cottage cheese. they never seemed appealing to me as fat free cottage cheese has a dry hard curd that I couldn't get past.

I made it through on about 1000 cals -- was hoping to just eat once, but was starving when I got home, so I ate a bit more... but still very much on plan.

Still kinda wacky hormonally, but at least things are improving in the TOM department -- lets hope THAT sticks!

I like your prediction powers, Paula -- using my own powers of prediction, I am guessing that I will be down a full pound or more tomorrow. Let's hope I'm right. Sometimes it takes a couple of days to see a drop after a refeed, so I won't freak if I'm still up tomorrow ... but I would very much like that drop to happen relatively quickly.

Cathy -- let's hope Paula's predictions are spot on for you, too.

Nice losses Metga, Chase, Karlas, Pugs... and anyone I might have missed....

Tay, I hope the slice of cake was good enough to make the little bump up worthwhile

Glad that tomorrow is another day -- I'm kinda regretting the refeed now, but hopefully that will be short lived. Catching up on sleep, and a few days on plan, and I will feel back in the game I think.

Oh yeah, I enjoyed that cake! LOL I stayed low cal and on plan today.
I had some major stress today! I was at walmart and my car wouldn't start! Had to have it towed and then the tow guy told me its my theft system! The car didnt recognize my key! I guess chevy cars do that once in a while. So now I have to watch for the blinking light. If its blinking I have to open the car door & shut it again and leave the key in the ignition for a few minutes before starting it. Crazy!
Then got home and went to take my drops and dropped them. Now I have to order more & hope I have enough to last 5 days, because of the wkend! Talk about stress!!!

Oh, no, Tay! I hope you have enough drops, too. I actually tend to keep a backstock just in case something like that happens.

I am completely exhausted today -- it has been a long week for me, but I have tomorrow off, so my weekend is officially starting -- lots to do this weekend, but at least I can sleep in.

I'm going to keep it super clean, eating wise, this weekend, and see if I can get this refeed weight right back off ... 110 may have to wait until next week, but I think I can do that (barring another hormonal gain, that is....)

minimonkey-I used to have a terrible time with TOM (heavy bleeding, passing clots, too long in duration) until I did some research on the internet and found the herbal remedy of Red Raspberry Leaves. I buy the Nature's Way brand at Whole Foods Market and it is a capsule. Google it for more information.

quick question:I would really like to start another round but I am going on vacation in 12 days and I don't really want to do the 500 calorie diet during that time....can I do the HCG for 12 days - do P3 for the 8 days we are on vacation and go back on for another say 12 days or so when we get back? I have read about the re-feed and it seems as long as I don't go longer then 14 days off of HCG I should be able to do it?
Any suggestions?

Well, the thing about the interruption is that you are still supposed to eat lower calories and not just eat a lot if you can. if there is a chance you might go overboard then it would be better to just wait. I say better because of the way many people react to weight gain with guilty feelings and self-flagellation. two of those days will be waiting for the HCG to build up and three of them will be weaning off the HCG so that leaves only 7 days, only a week of a round. Besides that Dr.S advised trying not do do that before 21days of a round so , I'd say just wait till after the vacation and go full on. I know there are at least 21 days between Thanksgiving and christmas, enough time to do a short 21day round, so I'd suggest waiting till you get back and have a whole set of time to get at least 23 doses in.

Magnesium is good as a laxative, you have to take more than the therapeutic dose to get the effect, it can make you sorta relaxed or groggy though so I don't recommend it in the daytime or if you have things to do that need focus. A large amount of Vitamin C works that way also. Take a 1000mg dose each hour with plenty of water till you get some "effect"

I don't use anything else though I sometimes have Citricel or metameucil but that's for bulking. If I have a full colon but I'm not moving I use he hydrating agents mentioned above.

Thanks for that info! I think my issues (same as you mentioned above) have a lot to do with fibroids too. I have to admit when I was vegetarian/vegan TOM was superlight, super short and I had little or no PMS. They are back to being yucky but I guess that's a trade off for being able to lose the weight. I will try the Red Raspberry leaves though. Thanks again!

The P&I states you should not do an interruption before the 21 day.. I would just wait and use the vacation last 2 days as loading and start VLCD when you get home.

otherwise....
Sounds like a good start to the Friday so far...

I was down 3.2 of the 5.6 up yesterday. Still have 2.4 more to go to be back where I was days ago!!! ugh!! maybe tomorrow I will be even keel at least... boo!!! TOM is still lurking, due tomorrow as well!! TGIF everyone!!

Speaking of TOM -- He just showed up this morning, and.... I was down .6 today!!

Could not be happier! I was feeling the need for some fat yesterday so for dinner I had salmon (grilled in cedar paper) and broccoli roasted with butter and whole garlic cloves. Can I say... DELISH!!

MiniMonkey - hoping your prediction came true this morning!

Thanks for the info on red raspetty leaves -- I will give that, and also the brown kelp that Paula suggested, a try!

You asked about my dosing, and I just realized I never answered that --

I have been doing 4 doses a day this round... that seems to be working ok for me. Generally it is ten drops 4 times a day, or if I use pellets, I do three pellets per dose, and an additional one if that doesn't stop the hunger. Does that make sense?

Adorable avatar pic! I can't believe you are doing another round ( you don't need it, in my opinion) but power to you, and may it be a good one!

Scale was weird this morning ... I woke up really early and weighed -- and was up by .6 lbs. I was discouraged, but went back to sleep. Remembering that Cheryl had something like this happen once, I weighed again after sleeping some more... and now I am 113.6!

Weight is truly variable and very strange -- but I am down .8 overall from yesterday, so that's ok. Hoping to see a net drop from the refeed day by Monday, still.

Today will be another regular p2 rogue day.

I'm tired and hungry. I could not sleep last night and when I did I kept having this bad dream that I was fired.

I can't wait for tomorrow to stay in sweatpants all day and sleep in as long as the boys let me! (hopefully 8)

up 0.5lbs today... I'm missing my carbs big time.

Awww... hang in there!

I had a dream last night that I met some vampires and had them turn me and my son into vampires too so that he would never grow old and always be my little best buddy! Twisted, I know. I do love that little guy though so much!

Pugs -- bad sleep really does affect the scale (not to mention making for an overall miserable experience!)

Hope you catch up on a good amount this weekend.

Have you tried tinkering with your dose and seeing if that helps the hunger? It does for some people -- I have needed to do a full fourth dose daily this round to see hunger suppression. I still get hungry, but not nearly as badly as I did on a lower dose.

Don't stress the smaller loss today. One thing about diet soda is that it does contain a fair amount of sodium .. sometimes that affects me if I drink too much of it.

Losses vary from day to day (and round to round) -- you've had great losses so far... just keep on keeping on.

This has happened to me several times. If I wake up early and weigh and then go back to sleep I always lose about .6 to .8 ounces.

Today is day 1 of VLCD. I strength trained with my trainer and I was whipped afterwards. Went rouge as far as my vegetable intake. Made talapia soup with bean sprouts, celery, green peppers and mushrooms. Hopefully it does not have a negative effect Had 1 whole egg and 1 egg white for breakfast. Had a hemp protein shake with water after workout. I noticed the hemp protein has fat in it and so I will have to find another shake with less fat. I have had protein three times today. Mini, do you think I should have some protein for dinner because of the workout. Did weights today. Thanks.

Also, has anyone tried the OWL and Hcg diet? How did it work out for you? Mini, you stated you eat yogurt? Do you have a loss when you eat yogurt or do you stay that same. Thanks everyone...
