I'll add that I've had plenty of saggies, but pretty much all of it has tightened up except for my lower belly - which would probably need surgery. I mean, the skin started sagging when I was 10 weeks pregnant and hadn't gained a pound yet...I think some areas are just too tough to expect any change. I also still have the majority of my fat in this area, so who knows what will happen.

But my saggy butt & thighs did eventually tighten up...looking pretty good in fact. DH says it looks just like when we met when I was 18 (and 110 pounds).

One thing I am unhappy about...my lower chin wattle. Yes, I lost a double chin, but I did not lose all of the skin there. Price you have to pay I suppose!

I would like to join you gals as I am doing things a bit rogue-ish as well. Mostly just eating more protein and vegetables. I can't do this without breakfast - some real protein. So I have eggs, then usually chicken and salad at lunch and then stirfry type dinners. Day 4 and down 4.8 so it's going pretty well so far and I am not dying of hunger - yet!

Y'all seem like a fun group! Have a great afternoon!

I hope my thighs & butt tighten up. I know my husband would never complain but I would feel better. I didn't have a double chin, but my face has definitely slimmed down! My hubby has commented on that.
Feeling good in my sz 14's today! I have tons of 12's bc thats where I was for a long time (bout a yr!). I cannot wait to get into them & Down lower!

Hi! This is my fav thread. Nice to have you. Do you eat whole eggs or do the 1 whole egg w/ a couple egg whites? I eat 3 whole eggs and still lose.

My dang stomach just wont go away. I am sick of it. Everything else slims down. I really have to have my trainer kill it. We do mostly legs, chest, biceps, triceps but she does make sure I attempt to engage my core. I don't know what to do about this monster. Has anyone heard of L-Carnaite injections? Supposedly it targets the fat and cases a loss. My face has also slimmed down and the skin on my neck has not snapped back like I hoped. It's keeping me from my Diva status

You eat three whole eggs and don't gain weight? How often can you do that? I look at three whole eggs and gain weight. Sheesh

I was eating eggs every day, but I went down to 3 days/wk. I just wanted to change things up. I eat alotta things that would surprise you! I put some of them in a previous post.
I just didn't want to get bored and I tried hHCG before and in my 2nd wk I had to stop bc my BP dropped dangerously low. The dr said it was lack of potassium. So this time I'm taking potassium tablets and eating more protein and raised my calories also.
I just experiment and wait to see how the scale reacts. LOL

Well, today turned into more of an "up" day than I planned -- still EFGT proportions, but much higher calories-- we'll see what that does to the scale...

I'm honestly not worried too much about it -- the occasional up day hasn't hurt me in the long run, and I think it has kept me from getting too dragged out on this long stint of p2ing. If that is what is allowing me to keep going, then so be it. Beating myself up certainly won't help. If I see a gain tomorrow, then I will just buck up and move forward... at least I will feel like I earned it

I also suspect that transitioning to p3 will be a lot smoother with the occasional up day and the higher fat in the mix while losing -- at least I hope so.

Westie -- I am actually not working out this p2, but in general I do work out about 4 to 5 times a week when not dieting. I just couldn't make p2 work while working out -- I got way too dragged out and low energy.

I do quite a bit of walking during the course of a normal day, though, just getting to and from school on public transit -- probably averages out to about 2 miles daily, and quite a bit of it on steep hills.

Hexa -- you aren't kidding about hcg fat sticking tight! Wow has this ever been hard weight to lose -- it's still not gone completely, but I am getting there finally. My very smallest pants are still a bit tight, but other than that, my goal clothes are fitting again. Whoohoo!

I'm pretty resigned to the idea that it may take until the end of the year to get all the way to goal, but that's ok -- if the progress is happening, I can stick it out. If progress stalls, I will change it up until something starts working again.

Back to my regular rogue p2 plan tomorrow.

Finally -- though I don't want to jinx this -- it seems like TOM is finally ending -- oh please oh please oh please! 3 weeks of TOM hasn't been too fun.

Since today is essentially a refeed, I may wait until Friday to weigh... and do a real down day tomorrow. Or, maybe I will get brave and weigh anyhow, in the name of science...lol.

Hexa -- I don't know anything about the L-Carnitine injections, but I take it orally -- I find it really, really helps with fatigue (I tend to get fatigue with the Lyme). I don't know if it helps with weight loss or not -- but I do feel better when I take it.

Everyone has a problem area it seems -- for me (and Nola, over in the exercise thread) it is the saddlebags... I guess yours is the stomach. The problem areas are always the last to go

New here, been using hhcg Meridian pellets for two weeks as of tomorrow. Started off really good and have been losing consistently but the last day or two I feel like I'm hitting a wall. I decided awhile go to omit the melba toast and now decided to ditch the fruit and up the protein. So right now I'm doing protein and low carb veggies and hoping I can power through it. When I started I adhered strictly to the protocol but tired of it quickly and decided to see what would happen if I did it with more of an Atkins approach, which I have been successful with in the past. Quite frankly I feel my body needs more protein and fat than the Simeons protocol allows, so I decided to do what felt right for me.

Going out of town this weekend so I know I will be totally off plan for 3 days - maybe that will help get me over this hump? Having terrible cravings today for some dairy and chocolate, first time this has happened since I started - trying to remain strong!

Minimonkey-I read that you use Intermountain drops, and the pellets while on the go...What is your dosing schedule and quantity used of drops and pellets? I'm asking because today I ordered both the Intermountain drops and pellets thinking I would use the drops on a regular basis and keep the pellets in my purse for on the go.

Paula -- whoohoo on the lb down! May it stick, and continue to happen!
What is EFGT? I haven't been on the thread for awhile so I am a little rusty on the terms and concepts Tomorrow is my last day of loadiing. Strength trained Tuesday and Wednesday and tomorrow is yoga day. I start phase 2 on Friday (of all days) and have weight training. So we will see.

Also, I have recently gone vegetarian (about 2 months now). I will eat fish and eggs but no beef, chicken or pork. I guess it will be talapia and egg whites for me the next 23 days. I also drink a Hemp protein shake with one raw egg with Hemp milk. Milk is not allowed on this protocol, correct? Do you take protein shakes and if you do, what do you mix it with? Thanks for the help

Hexa -- EFGT is Eat Fat, Get Thin -- this is a totally rogue -- even heretical -- idea for hhcg, but it seems to work well for some people. On those days, I eat most (like 80 to 90%) of my calories in fat. It is based on the same principle as the Atkins Fat Fast -- it forces the body into ketosis.

I know the common wisdom is that hcg and fat are incompatible, but there is a thread about using the EFGT plan along with hcg, and I tried it as an experiment... it broke a stall for me and got me losing, finally!

I don't do anything close to protocol -- but no, protocol doesn't allow dairy. I tend to like my shakes with coconut milk -- Trader Joe's has one that is only 50 calories a cup -- so I use that on my normal p2 days. I also eat Fage O yogurt, even on normal p2 days -- and I mix protein powder into that.

I am a case study of one, so I don't claim that any of my rogue hijinks will work for anyone else -- but I do seem to have found a plan that is working for me. It's slow compared to the results that a lot of people get on hcg, but it is consistent, and I think it will get me back to goal for the first of the year.

Today was an anomaly -- I ended up essentially doing a refeed day -- that was unplanned, but I doubt I'll be sorry in the long run -- the occasional refeed has seemed to help more than it hurts in my case. I did one back in mid October, and I think today also counts, though today was almost entirely fat calories.

I've noticed that if I do consistent low calories and I don't shake things up occasionally, my body just down regulates my metabolism to compensate -- and then I stall, regain easily, etc. I'd rather have some bumps in the road and slower losses, and come through with my metabolism healthier in the end.

I guess the real proof will be when I hit goal, and we see how maintenance treats me.

I am prepared to go super low calorie or even strict protocol for the last few pounds if that is what it takes, but I'd love to limit the amount of time I need to be doing that.

I decided to just label today a refeed and run with it -- I ate somewhere in the range of 2000 calories, mostly from fat.

In the interest of science, I think I will weigh tomorrow, but am quite prepared to see a temporary jump up of a couple -- even a few -- lbs.

Tomorrow it is definitely back to my regular rogue plan - hopefully with minimal hunger for a while following today.

That's what I do...although, I usually raise the calories a bit and allow myself cocoa powder mixed with coconut oil for a daily snack. I am sure Simeons should have made chocolate the "fruit" in this plan.

No change to my weight after my down day yesterday. That seems to be my thing the past week or two. Feeling skinny though. 1.6 pounds less than last Thursday.

In a rush or I'd do more personals...

Thanks. This really does seem to make sense. I have encountered stalls with HCG no matter what I did and when I increased my protein I lost weight. Interesting. I don't know if I would like the protein shake with coconut milk and I think it has some sugar in it. I will check. It is really good to know that there are alternate eating plans since Simeon's is really restrictive and sometimes unmotivating. Experimentation is really the best way to discovery of new information. This is encouraging.

Okay -- up 2.6 post refeed -- that's expected.

My best guess is that the refeed weight and then some will be gone by Monday at the latest, assuming I stick to my regular rogue p2 between now and then. Let's see how good my prediction skills are.....

In a hurry too, but wishing all of you a great day!

The coconut milk I get is unsweetened -- it has a bit of natural sugar in it, but not much.

Nice surprise of .8 loss this morning. That puts me at 6 down for the first week. I figure if I can eat more with my rogue plan and lose 3lbs a week I will be one happy camper. Maybe some day I will fit in the canoe!

Love this thread because it really gives credence to the notion that every body is different and that what works for one won't work for all. We are on our own quest to find our best method!

Have a great day ladies!

Good morning ladies!!!
Today is R3P2D4 for me and I had another satisfying loss today... 1.6lbs.!! Yippee!! That puts me at 4.2lbs lost since Monday. I didn't weight myself before loading...but that's ok.... losing is losing! At least the doubts of my Meridian pellets are gone.....I'm so excited that I'm still losing even though I've been drinking Diet coke!! Last round I had none at all (doing strict protocol) and I lost but It was soooo hard to do with out my Diet cokes... I kind of like to have them as a morning revver upper and an afternoon pick me up!! Glad to see you all are doing well!!!

Hi Ashes!!! I'm also on the Meridian pellets...I just recieved them on Monday... My losses have been decent this week. 1,1.5,1.6 I'm hoping I can make it 9 lbs. by Sunday. I was a little discouraged the first day because when I was taking drops (last round)...I had major losses the first few days...something like 3.5,2.5, and then like 1 lb losses each day there after.... If I continue with the losses I've been having this week I will probably lose just about the same amount of weight as last round (11 lbs.)...just at a more consistent rate.

How have your losses been so far with the Meridian pellets... Just out of curiousity, are your's in a blue or brown bottle?? (Mine is brown)... I was a bit doubtful at first but I'm losing...so that's good enough for me!! Well happy losing Ashes!!! Hope to hear back from ya!!!

Well, I spoke too soon too and fell off the horse and got run over last night. TOM is looming and I caved to a potato cheese burrito and some cookies and froyo last night... today... up 5.6 lbs... basically all I lost on 2000 calories. I am sure some of it is water, but it will still take me several days at least to recoup what took me 2 weeks!!! UGH!! Shoot me now!!!

Down to 197.5.. That's 20lbs gone for 25 days of VLC! I'm going belt shopping this weekend cause all my pants are baggy and I'm not bying anything until January.

Will my double chin go away? That would be nice, but I'm pretty sure that's my trouble area, I've had one my entire life. Gosh darn genes.

Also my Ex texted me last night that whatever I'm doing is working cause I looked hot. (We were at a meet my son's new teacher meeting yesterday afternoon)

Could this loss be water weight? I'm afraid I didn't drink enough yesterday.

Welcome new rougers and thank you to everyone on this thread, every post teaches me something new.

Halloween candy is kicking my BUTT! I can't resist, especially when my 2 year old takes one bite of my favorite and then says I no want this... I have to eat it! (I'm bringing them in tomorrow for people at work!)

I live on Diet Coke and couldn't do this without it! I tried Stevia soda, but it just doesn't taste good (dr. Stevia is almost bearable)

Can I ask, how much did you loose the first time?

Hello! I'm up .5 today....had a small slice of birthday cake! Oops! It'll be gone soon. I suspect its from sodium. I'm proud of myself for having such a small slice.
Plan for today is alot of water and protein, protein, protein!!!! NO fruit.
I'll be busy this afternoon, so I'll check in later.
