Help, this hunger is killing me
Hi, I am dealing with hunger and being tired I am curious if I should try to adjust my dose up or down (if so which first to try up or down) or just wait it out and this is normal for week 1?
I know I am never going to make it the whole round if I always feel hungry all the time ! I am on 3 pellets/ 3x a day. |

Yes definitely adjust your dose- try moving it down first. That seems to help alot of people. You can also try not taking your last dose until right before bed, ive heard that does wonders. Also, Verbqueen here said she took her doses and split them in half- like she was taking 4 pellets 3x day so instead, she took 6 in the morning and 6 at night and she said it was amazing how little hunger she had.
Also, keep in mind that most people are significantly less hungry by week 2. It just takes a little while to get used to it. hang in there, we are here for you!

Definitely play around with the dose. Had the same issue in round 2, adjusted downwards and thought I was going to die, I was so hungry. That lasted basically a day.
Then adjusted up by a few drops, which is what I'm using and have been smooth sailing since. |

Yeah, I recommend waiting until after your first week before adjusting because there could be a number of things not dosing related causing your hunger like not loading well enough or mistaking head hunger, thirst or fatigue for physical hunger.
I would try the broth with seasonings between meals for another day or two to see if you get some relief and then you could consider tweaking your dose although if you're postive it's physical hunger not bought on by the things I suggested you could tweak now. As a rule of thumb if you want to adjust your dose you would skip your last dose tonight and see how you feel in the morning. If the hunger is gone or reduced you adjust your dose DOWN ususally by a pellet. If the huger is still there tomorrow you adjust UP by one pellet. Adjust until you find the dose that works for you. Good luck, being hungry stinks ![]() |

thanks so....
I am pretty sure this is real hunger. If I decide to adjust my dosage how long does it usually take to tell if it is correct, immediately?

Thanks mymy
Ok so I took only 2 pellets last night and 2 this morning. I do not feel any hunger BUT I feel so weak ?? I just ate my apple, had some water and a cup of yerba mate tea. Hope that helps. I think feeling weak is worse then the hunger ! |

When I was feeling like a starved like you are, I tried to increase. Didn't work (went through 3 addtl days of starving to try out increasing). I then followed people's advice to decrease. 8 drops 3 times daily ended up perfect for me in the end. I was not hungry with the 8.
Now that I am in round 3, I started with 9, and it feels pretty right this time. |

I made the mistake of upping my pellets instead of reducing them, I was more hungry than before... my pellet dosage now works out to 3/2/2. I am tempted to try the twice a day morning/evening method though for conveneince am always forgetting about the 2pm dosage.

My hunger "seems" better with the 2 pellets BUT it is hard to tell because I feel so weak today. I grabbed some B12 (just not sure how much exactly to take). I really feel like I am so close to passing out...even my husband asked if I was ok. My TOM should start in the next 2 weeks, could that be it? Anything else I could try to feel any better?

When I started, I took 2500 mcg of sublingual B-12 in addition to the B-12 that was included in my prescription HCG and a multi-vitamin for athletes. . About 10 days in I was really feeling like I was getting my butt kicked...no energy at all. My doc suggested Pure Encapsulations Energy Xtra, which helped me a whole lot. Maybe see if the B-12 is enough and if you don't feel better, investigate some additional supplements during P2

yep...you need potassium! My dr gave me a prescription dose potassium pill during P2. That worked out well...my copay was less than what I would have paid for taking multiple OTC pills.

I was lucky with that, Dawn, I know it. I wish everybody had a doc like that on their side in this fight. We've been fortunate with that one, in that he's always been "on plan" for our insurance (through several changes in insurance) and so he's been our family doc for a number of years. It makes a difference (for me anyway) when I feel like my doctor actually knows me a little bit. Some of my friends have had to bounce around between doctors so much that they are essentially strangers. I long for the "olden days" when the doc who spanked your bottom to welcome you to the world might also be the one who delivered your own kids and were there when your parents passed on.

Last night going to bed I could feel the charley horses coming on like an itchy trigger finger in my leg. I took 5 OTC potassium pills right away and within minutes the triggery feeling went away. I didn't cramp during the night. I really only take the potassium when I start to feel cramps but I should probably take it every day.
