I've been thinking about "things" a lot lately. It really is a blessing that I am in a place at this point in my life that my weight is comfortable and that I feel better. There's so much happening, and my relationship with food at this point is pretty much as fuel. I am enjoying yummy things, but the way something looks or smells has zero effect on me at the moment.
I am feeling a little 'female' recently and I don't have much patience with me when I am that way. I think once I've had myself a little emotional release late Monday (when Amy can't see me) I'll be better. There is a lot to do in the coming weeks. My mother will be here around Nov 1 for about 3 weeks. I need to get Amy's room in condition for her to be here. David has his knee cyst removed and his meniscus repaired on the 3rd of November. The musical I'm directing is the week before Thanksgiving, then we have a house full of guests on Turkey Day. I have several costumes to construct for Nutcracker, which is Dec 10, so they really need to be complete by T-giving. After Nutcracker, I will think about Christmas. It won't amount to much this year, we're kind of poor (like everybody else these days!) but we'll get things decorated so it looks right when Amy gets home for her leave. Will is doing the cooking at Thanksgiving, so I'm pretty much off the hook there except for cleaning the house and making sure there is enough toilet paper When she heads to Virginia for the second part of her training around New Years, I will start thinking about building 22 white tutus for Swan Lake. ![]()

Eat that Curry and thaw that steak! Sounds like what I'd do. One meal does not a disaster make. And celebrations are meant to be celebrated and shared to the utmost. Let your hair hang down!Doesn't sound like you'll be squeezing a trip to Cancun in anytime soon. At least you can meditate on that picture! I do that sometimes, too. I love my pictures and videos of things I've done and places I've been. If the house was on fire, those would be the first things I'd rush to safety. And I hear ya on focusing on Jesus and the eternal things rather than the temporal. They say this life is just a vapor but it sure doesn't feel that way! But that's because this is all we know. Congrats on the 1 lb loss and being back under your LDW! I'm really glad you made the trip to see Carrie and Noah. Sounds like it was a true blessing for all who was a part of it. ![]() Quote:

As for me, just read my siggy! I feel so dorky for forgetting what my weight was yesterday. It was like I was in the twilight zone. I was walking around thinking I'd had a huge whoosh when in fact I had lost about 0.8. Nimrod!

congrats terri! what a great round for you!
![]() im down .5 this morning. that puts me down 10 lbs first week. i think my mini goal for this round is 145...so 22 to go. seems reasonable given the time i have. i will stay on program until my days are up, if i lose more great, less...not considering it lol. that will put me 20 lbs from ultimate goal which will start in the new year, after a full p3/p4. interesting developments in this house, dh wants to switch to tea in am instead of coffee. not sure if this is a *supporting* me thing, for himself, or a combination of above. i was pretty rogue this week so my *experiment* is going to be strict protocol next week to see if i can keep the losses going. i will keep using my normal products but i will be more strict with the eating and eliminate the coffee (i.e. cream) to see what impact it has. i guess it will be a down week after a slightly above week. i appreciate his being so supportive! green tea here we come |

Excellent Layla, we're both rocking it!!
I was pretty protocol the first week. The second week I mixed veggies and had the Walden’s Farms sauces. Last night I actually had two glasses of wine, so I'm real thankful this morning. Next week I'm going to go as protocol as possible to get as close to goal as possible. Kept true to every other day lift and squat workouts, and added 5 min of Pilates Abs last week. This is truly virgin territory for me that I haven't seen in over 30 years. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() fantastic on the virgin territory...puts you very very close to goal! very exciting! i took 2 days off from exercise last week...would have to look at my journal but i think then it worked out to 5 days alternating cardio/pilates. i did my walk/run yesterday and will be doing some pilates today. glad my energy has been good to keep up these workouts and that my losses remained strong. first round i lost 12.5 first week, this one 10 so it seems ok to me?? this is a good experiment...with the exercise. you are a week further in so glad its working out, makes me think i will be ok next week with the working out. BUT, i have been rogue so i will need to see how strict protocol works out. not much of a change but a change regardless. have a great day!! |

What a nice DH. So, I take it you aren't drinking coffee on P2? I learned to like it without the LWC I used to use all the time on Atkins. I actually drink it that way even when I can have cheese and cream. Why go back to drinking something once you've broken the habit? I use liquid splenda in it (Ez Sweetz) and so I don't call it "black."Quote:
![]() ![]() WOW. WTG, woman! You're doing this thing! I'm down a smidge today but I am having Bernice issues. I took some MOM and that should bring on a good scale morning tomorrow. (I refer to it as "liquid plumber.") ![]() I hope we all are having a lovely day today, and hope we have a marvelous week on plan! ![]() |

cheryl;
i have been drinking coffee, with 10% cream and splenda (sometimes stevia). i only finished week 1 today first round i was down 12.5 first week, second week was 5. im hoping for approximately the same this round however, i was going to be more strict for week 2 this round, hence cutting out the coffee (and cream thought i would be more strict for week 2 as i am rogue on plan. ugh...just finished pilates. it felt hard today arms like jello! |

Well, that's great that you have been able to keep using it! Do what you feel you must in order to get the most out of your round. I know that's what I'm doing, too. I'm hoping this is my final P2 so I want to get the biggest bang for my buck.
Actually, I got a serendipitous moment today. At first I was apprehensive about it, but now I see what a blessing it is! I'll explain. My sister's son is getting married and just a week ago she found out he and she were flying home for a brief visit. They are both in IN and hardly ever able to be in the same place at the same time. Each are either in a residency job or still in University, in different parts of the state. Long story short, sis is throwing them an elaborate Jack and Jill party on 11/10. This was going to make it 3 events I needed to get through while still on P2. (This new party, sis's birthday party and Thanksgiving.) Well, I asked her how I can help. She thought about it and today said that the way I could help the most was by doing the videos and pics for the party. This stopped me in my tracks because I've been the photographer at parties plenty of times and it sucks to be there but not be there. To see the entire day through the lens of a camera. But the more I thought about it, it's my perfect "out"! No one will notice what I eat or don't eat if I'm in charge of photography, and it will keep me completely occupied the entire time. |

10 pounds is excellent! Especially when you consider how much less you weigh now. I lost 10 by now in my first round and 8.10 in this round. I would totally keep working out if you can. I scaled back last P3 to the every other day schedule and have just kept with it this P2. This next week will really tell the tale for me. By now I already needed an apple day in round two and my loses just basically stopped on this day in round one, but I waited five days to do an apple day. I'm hoping the exercising will break that trend. Hope tomorrow's weigh in is great! And hope your week is a little easier!!

Hi, ladies. Just a last-minute post before I go to bed. I don't know how it happened but all I had today was coffee, water and milk of mag. I think this is my first piece of gum! No hunger, no time, no desire. I really expected to be empyting out, if you know what I mean. But there is a first time for everything and this is the first time MOM did nothing for me. I must be "full of it."
So tonight will be interesting! Sleep tight, girls. Sweet dreams and I'll catch you on the flip side. |

Well I'm up .30 but still down 1.2 for the weekend. Considering the little of this and little of that I had over the weekend I'm not surprised or disappointed. Going for the goal this week, wish me luck!
Hope everyone has a great day! |
