Bummer on the weight gain... I had a similar thing happen a few days ago but it results in a 4 pound weight gain! My body loooooves to gain weight. I'm going into P3 in a couple of days. So ready for it, but wish I was going into it lighter than I am. Oh well, I'll try again after the holidays.

Trish, at least we know there is an option to lose more weight at a later date. Good luck in P3. I am looking forward to it as well.
I did my refeed from fri night to sat night. Gained 4 pounds (not as bad as I thought). I am still under 140. I want to do the protocol for the next 2 or three days, get rid of the refeed weight, and then do a two or three day round of mac nut fast. I lost 5 pounds last time I did the nut fast, so I figure I might as well try to get down to my goal asap. We will see what happens. I feel more hungry lately, and it's harder to get back on track when I keep interrupting myself with refeeds of deliciously yummy foods. UH. Guess I gotta stay strong! I have discovered lemon truffles and chocolate delight, so that had been a BIG help as far as my sweet tooth is concerned. |

Hope you're losing those last couple of pounds! Are you eating the lemon truffles and chocolate delight while on P2? Don't those have coconut oil in them? I wouldn't think it would be a good idea on P2 to eat things with oil since you want to mobilize your own stored fat.

coconut oil on phase 2
Ok. so I am down to 131.6. I am doing great losing every day and yes I am eating lemon truffles and chocolate delight. If you remember that youtube video I told you about it explains the fat fast, well coconut oil falls into the "fat fast" type category, but from what I have read and experienced, it is REALLY good for you, and seems like it is actually fueling me for more loss instead of making me gain. I recommend it and plan to keep eating them. I use them as a filler between meals when I start to get hungry and so far it has been working out great. My neighbor who has started the same time as me does the same thing and it helps her a lot too. It's the perfect fat (along with macademia nuts) and is only used by the body as fuel, not stored as fat. I think my new goal is between 125 and 127. Gotta break 130 now, since I am so close. Plan to "refeed" on Thanksgiving, then lose the refeed weight and stabalize for a few days, then go off the drops and transition to phase 3. I plan to be done phase 3 before Xmas, and will simply try to make the best choices I can to get through the rest of the Holidays and I SHOULD be set, IF everything works out the way I hope. We will see

ok. Chocolat delight is a cup of coconut oil (melted), add 10 packages of Stevia (I use truvia) and 1/4 cup of cocoa. Mix together, and pour into a container with a flat bottom. Freeze. Once it hardens you can break it apart and eat it like chocolate candy.
Lemon truffles is one cup of coconut butter, 1/4 cup of stevia, juice of one lemon and a tsp of lemon zest. mix and spread in the bottom of a flat container, freeze and break apart and eat the same way. YUMMY> |

ok. so I cheated a bit this weekend, but not horribly. I was so close to goal and I really just wanted to enjoy dinners with friends on fri night and sat night. So, basically i gained 4 pounds. I did protocol on sunday, and am doing a NUT day today. I am assuming I should have a good loss tomorrow. I might do another nut day tomorrow as well just to get myself back to where I was before I cheated. Not a big deal though, it's nice to know how to fix a mess up. I suppose these are the lessons we will use for the rest of our lives to keep the weight off. Glad I know the tricks now.

Checking In
Ok. So i disappeared a bit lately. I have been fluctuating around the same 4 pounds. I guess I was feeling a bit defeated because I really want to go into phase 3, but want to wait until after Thanksgiving and the weekend so I can re-lose my cheat weight before I transition. I don't want to cheat at all in P3 because I'd like to avoid correction days and stabalize properly. Anyway, I got down to 131.6 pounds and then had a few cheats on saturday night. Sunday I lost eventhough I cheated, but Sunday night I ate decent but it was still technically off protocol, and today (Monday) I was up 4 pounds. I wasn't surprised, I figured it would catch up. So rather then being discouraged, I am going to do a correction steak day. I haven't done one yet. Tonight I will eat 16 ounces of steak (yeah baby, and I WILL eat it all). I will also have a tomato, and I read that you can do a "mug cake" so I figure, why not, let's see if this works. So I am hoping tomorrow I will be back down to where I need to be. I am going to behave on tuesday and wednesday, then of course Thanksgiving on thursday will be a cheat so I might do a correction day friday (if this one goes well) - Then I have a family dinner sunday, and monday, tues and wed I will probably do nut days to get myself down to goal, do 72 hours on vlcd without drops and move into phase 3 next week. I know this sounds like a lot, but I know what my body is capable of now and I know what I need to do to get out of this phase and into the next asap. I NEED to eat more foods and more quantity. SOOO bored of this phase. My goal is 129. Can't wait to move on.

Steak days work great
did a "steak and mug cake day". I ate 16 ounces of steak, a tomato, and a "mug cake" that I found on you tube. I ate it all for dinner and enjoyed every bite of this massive meal. I lost 3.6 pounds the next day. So I would say the steak day is by far my favorite and it's great to know that it works.

Im nursing a 7 mo.... I am thinking of starting this in Jan. I have done this diet before I got pregnant with great success (lost 25 lbs). I just cant seem to get the preg wt off. I started my daughter on cereal at 5 mo and solids at 6. We are now having 4 meals a day plus nursing on demand. My question is how has it affected your milk production? I plan to take more milk plus by motherlove too while doing this diet.

After about two weeks of eating 850 to 900 calories a day, my milk supply did start to diminish some. I basically would do "refeed" days (mini load days) and that would get my milk supply back up for a couple more weeks, but set me back a few days. Not a big deal though since I was still losing weight while nursing (24 pounds to date). It just takes a bit longer. Your milk supply might last longer, or you could try eating a little bit more calories. Good luck. It's a balancing act while nursing, but it can work.

Been in phase 3 for a couple weeks now. I have even cheated with non-protocol foods and wine and have stayed within the 2 pound range (as long as I don't eat off protocol for more then two days, and even then I don't eat everything that's bad). I feel this protocol is an absolute success!!

Oh my Jennia I've been amazed by your story. I'm not nursing, but just ran across your post I read the whole thing. I'm new to hcg and find it quite amazing. How are you right now? How much do you weight now? I did find the macadamia fast interesting I never heard of it, I'm doing this round strictly, but once I get into phase 3 I should try that one.
Have a nice day, Lisy Last edited by ThinLisy; 01-06-2012 at 08:27 AM.. |

It's been awhile since I've been on here. I am doing another round of the HCG diet since my baby is now 14 months old and is nursing for comfort. I am still eating 900 calories a day as well as indulging on lemon truffles as needed. So far I have lost 6 lbs in two days. (I just restarted the protocol). I am so much more prepared this time and hope I can stabalize properly this time since I won't be cheating and refeeding to keep my milk supply up
