Whats your typical day in P2

Just starting P2 today and I'm excited to get these pounds off! I'm curious though, whats a typical day of eating in p2 like for you? How do you space your meals out? What do you eat through out the day, thats on the approved foods list of course?

So far I've had an apple and a melba toast.. and it's 12:30. Not sure if thats a lot or a little compared to what most do!

Input appreciated, thanks!!

Here's a typical day for me (I'm on R2VLCD43-I use Intermountain pellets that I got from Netrition and take 3/3 times per day before each meal):

Breakfast: cup of black coffee, either an orange or 5 strawberries, 2 melbas with apple cider vinegar mixed in.

Lunch: P2 Chili (HHCG P2 Chili

7 ounces tomatoes, chopped
100 grams beef
1 teaspoon + 1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoons garlic
salt/pepper/cayenne to taste

Put all ingredients in a saucepan and cover. Cook over low heat, adding water when necessary until cooked. Stir often. Add more water if you’d like to bring to desired consistency.)
My husband does all the cooking and I've had it with beef, chicken, shirmp or crab.

Snack: one orange

Dinner: two cups of spinach with acv mixed in, hamburger patty

Lots of water, one cup of green tea and one cup of herbal tea.

I have not had one single apple while on P2 and there's really no reason for it. During Round 1, I had two oranges a day and just recently began introducing strawberries (we buy the frozen bag from Costco). This has been by far the easiest plan for me because it's so simple and I've been fortunate that I haven't had any hunger issues. I wish the same for you.

Good Luck to you and

Here's my normal day (and I am SUCH a "routine" person that I rarely veer from this at all!)

My bladder usually wakes in the very early a.m. After my trip to the potty, I go ahead and take my morning hcg pellets and get back into bed for another hour or two. When I wake up the second time, I weigh and record my weight, then have coffee and either a half an apple or a half a graprefruit.

Lunch is either P2 chili, an apple half (if I had a half for breakfast. If I had grapefruit, I don't have fruit at lunch) and an AkMak cracker. Sometimes I have 96/4 ground beef sauteed with a half an onion and seasoned with some beef soup base and some ff beef broth.

Dinner is usually chicken, stir-friend with cabbage or over a lettuce salad, plus another fruit and an AkMak. Some days I switch up the order of the chicken and beef.

I don't take the rest of my pellets until I go to bed. I seem to be doing much better on a 2 dose a day plan--don't have any hunger at all during the day.

I drink a MASSIVE amount of water--100 ounces a day. At least, it sure seems massive to my bladder!

HTH!

HI! This is only my second day on VLCD...but this is what I had yesterday, I hope it's okay! I take 2 intermountain pellets 3 times a day. The first right when I wake up and the other two doses when convenient.

B: Coffee, water, tea
L: 100g chicken cooked in a little chicken broth with 1c cherry tomatoes and fresh basil. (It kind of turned out like a stew, not bad!)
D: 100g tilapia cooked in chicken broth with 1 serving of green cabbage added in, so tilaipa/cabbage soup, LOL!

I saved my 2 apples for when I was really desperate to eat something and didn't eat the bread. I'm still learning too, so I hope my menu is okay!

Hello and Welcome all. I'm in R2P2D7.
Around 8:00 A.M. I took first sublingual drops
B Grissini Breadstick
Around 9:45 Apple
L Mixed Green Salad with 100 grams Chicken Breast
Drops around 2:00
D P2 Chili with ground beef
I will have strawberries with Stevia for an evening snack.
I take my last dose of drops about 30 minutes before bedtime.

My usual meals are either the chili, a salad with my 100 grams of meat, or Talapia with a vegetable.
Wishing you much luck. hcg is wonderful!! It does work!!

Welcome!

I'm on what I call the "every 3 hour" program, so it looks like this:

6:00 Coffee
9:00 3 pellets
12:00 lunch
3:00 2 pellets
6:00 dinner
9:00 3 pellets

(I take Intermountain pellets 3x per day: 3-2-3 pellets)

My 2 fruit servings are fit in wherever I need/want them, so I might have them in the mid-morning + evening or afternoon + evening, whichever works for me.

I don't always hit those times perfectly, but that's my general plan, so I get as close as possible.

My meals are simple and I always prepare ahead because I'm usually gone for 11-14 hours per day, which leaves me very little time at home.

Usually I either have P2 Chili or
chicken, ground beef, shrimp, or crab
+ spinach, romaine lettuce, boiled radishes or cabbage

My fruit is an apple, 1/2 grapefruit, or strawberries

Lots of water with lemon + herbal tea (especially yerba mate)

Enjoy the plan! The weight comes off more quickly than I ever thought possible, and it is STAYING off, which is the best thing in the world!

Thanks for the input all
! I am wondering if I'm having too many vegetables because I feel like I ate alot compared to you all! Also I kind of veered from the plan and started my drops today which is my first vlcd, instead of starting them while loading but they were in the mail...

Today-
B-Water
S-Apple and 2 melba snack
L-100 gram chicken breast with 50g of wilted spinach sprinkled with lemon juice
D-P2 Chili, 100g romaine lettuce, 25g cucumber, 2 melba snacks (I read somewhere you can have 2 toasts or 4 snacks because they are smaller?) and P2 honey mustard dressing
S-9 small strawberries with stevia
LS-hot tea with stevia

And I'm hungry right now! But I figured I have to give the drops a couple of days to kick in. I'm also taking the Intermountain hHCG, 10 drops 3 times a day. I kept track of all my calories and it added up to 513, not sure if thats okay. I feel lost right now!

Also - what kind of stevia are you using? I'm using stevia in the raw because that is all I saw at publix!

My opinion--use whatever kind of artificial sweetener tastes best to you. I don't really think it matters. Sucralose, aspartame and stevia weren't even around when Dr. S wrote the protocol, so who the heck knows which one/s he'd prefer?

And I never come in right at 500 on the nose--sometimes a little over, sometimes a little under, so I wouldn't worry about that.

My typical menu looks like this
B: Coffee
S: Grissini
L: Grilled chicken over romaine & tomato soup, or stewed chicken in tomatoes
S: Grissini
D: Tilapia and asparagus, or shrimp and cabbage stir fry
S: baked apple or frozen strawberry puree (sorbet)

I usually skip my morning fruit so I can have double tomato portions in my stew or have tomato soup with my salad. I can usually go till noon without eating anything, though I LOVE breakfast on P3!!

I'm concerned that you didn't take your drops while you loaded. The point of loading is to allow the hcg to build up in your system, along with plenty of food (esp. fats) prior to the VLCDs. That's why you're hungry, and I don't know if the hunger will abate quickly without a proper load.

Can anyone else offer experience with starting without doing a real loading phase?

Re: the veggies, I eat more veg than you do (closer to 300g per day), but I don't eat the melba.

Regansmama, I agree with Zbunny, it is of great concern that ya didn't load along with the first days of the hhcg. It's purpose is to get the hhcg into your system and give you fat and protein loaded so it slows the hunger for the first few days. IMHO (and there are many others on the forum with lots more experience and expertise who will be able to give more advice), I think you are early enough in this to LOAD today and tomorrow while you still take the hhcg. Then start the 500 VLCD on Thursday of this week. I, like Jessica, am one day over and one day under the 500. Hard to hit it exactly. Whatever you decide, hang in there. We're here for you.

Thanks for the advice. I'm on R1P2D2 now so is it worth it to go back to square one to avoid hunger pains and those lovely side effects or should I just get through today and tomorrow and it'll be smooth sailing? I lost 2.6lbs yesterday so I know that it's working but I want to do this the right way because otherwise why do it at all. I just don't want to load again, gain more weight and then start because I feel like yesterday and today I have been soo good!

You guys are so helpful, thanks so much!

Are you still starving today? I don't know. Dr. Simeons in Pounds and Inches said the failure to load properly would make the program less effective. I just don't know. Hopefully some of our resident experts will give you some feedback before you are out of the convenient window to load and restart.

Yeah I was still starving and had already gone through my allowed foods! I restarted my load with hHcg and will begin VLCD on Thursday. Thanks so much for the advice, I knew if I was missing something you guys could help!! Hopefully I don't gain too much loading for a second time in one week though!
