Correction Day - what do I do?

Hi Guys,

Just have to say first that I am so grateful that you all are always right here for me. I love you so!

So I am doing my first correction day ever since I started hhcg March 21st (55 pounds gone!). And I am a pound and a half up over my two pound window because I had some chinese food (so I am 3 and a half pounds over my ldw). I know that Dr. Simeon says to do a steak and tomato day and I have been protocol but I'm not sure if I can go all day without eating. Any suggestions? C'marie - you know how I feel about being protocol all the way...what do you think?

By the way - I have a ton of apples here...I could do an apple day very easily.

Ok - it's 7:58 here and I have a meeting in 2 minutes - I will be back in an hour to see what you all suggest!

Thank you!

Jody

You only do a correction day if you are more than two pounds above/below your window. You still have a bit of wiggle room here so no need for an official correction day. I would suggest a clean eating day of P3 foods (higher protein) with lots of water.

Oh then yeah then you need a correction day. If you are strict protocol your only option is the steak day then, apple days are for P2. Nothing until dinner and then grill yourself up a big ol' hunk of steak and eat it. The "not eating all day" really isn't that bad, if you want to deviate a little bit from protocol you could have some cream or half and half in coffee if you have hunger issues to take the edge off.

I don't know if I can do that. I'm hungry today. Yikes. I am not sure what to do. Ugh.

You could just eat really clean, high protein and low carbs and see what the scale says tomorrow. Or you could try one ofthe alternate correction days like a chicken, egg or GY day that allow you eat throughout the day but keep in mind those correction days are not protocol.

Jody, I may not be the one to advise here. I've been very lucky to never have had to do a correction day (yet) but I have read on the forum that people do chicken correction days, greek Yogurt days and egg correction days. Maybe one of these would work for you. Emel says she cooks up a whole chicken and eats on it all day.

egg day or chicken day?
you can speed up chicken day prep by cooking bone-in chicken parts in butter.

I have been strictly protocol so far but I think an entire day of not eating would be too much for me so I think that I will probably do a high protein/low carb day for a few days until it's back where it should be. I don't want to let it go but I also don't want to do something that could lead me to cheat because of being super hungry.

Thank you for your help!
