Potassium amount?
I've heard taking potassium can help with water retention, so I bought a supplement (potassium gluconate) to take during P3/P4 just for prevention's sake. Anyone have a recommendation about how much I should be taking? The bottle says just one per day, but I wasn't sure if that was enough. For the amount per tablet, it says "Potassium (from 550 mg Potassium Gouconate) 90 mg = 3% daily value." Kind of confusing.
Thanks! Last edited by hikergurl; 09-28-2011 at 10:54 AM.. |

Most recommendations (Dr. Eades, etc.) recommend a dosage anywhere 100-400 mg daily. If you haven't taken it before you should probably start at the lower end and work your way up so you can watch for side effects.
