Newbie question about Phases and P3 Calorie Intake from a First-Timer...

Hi all, I wanted your opinion on something.

I've been on round 1 of hhcg (p2) for about 40 days now....lost about 20 pounds, and I want to lose another 15.
My question is this...

-Do you think I should go to p3 and then p4 and then BACK to p2 to lose the remaining 15?
-Or, go to p3 and then back to p2 in 3 weeks? I read some different info about doing p3 then p2 vs. p3/p4 and back to p2.

I am using HHCG.

I would LOVE to stay on p2 to lose ALL of the weight, but the diet has actually caused a medical condition with my bladder and a lot of the foods I was using on p2 (coffee, vinegar, lemon juice) are irritating. I'm thinking I can go to p3 for a few weeks then back to p2 when I'm feeling better.

Thoughts?

Also, a calorie question. I saw a few different opinions about how much to eat in p3. I saw some say "gently increase your calories from 500 to 1500ish over a week" but others say to jump into a 1500 calorie diet, as long as you stay with p3 foods. Opinions on that?

As always, thank you for any advice!

Have you read Pounds and Inches? If you have been following Dr. Simeons Protocol it will explain that process. For me I really didn't want to quit P2 after 42 days because I was still losing and I still had a ways to go BUT I decided that I would follow the Protocol as Dr. S must have (in all of his years of research) had reasons for his recommendations. Sooooooo, I am back as of this past weekend back into P2 of Round 2. I went into P3 for 3 weeks and P4 for 3 weeks. Good luck and I'm sure others will comment also.

Yes I have read P&I but from what I read Dr. S limited you on how long you should stay on p2 because of immunity, but I have also read that with Homeopathic HCG, there isn't an issue with immunity.

Staying on P2 is not an option as the P2 foods (high protein, coffee, vinegar, lemon juice, etc) are causing me to have an inflamed bladder.

It sounds like you did P3 AND P4 before going back to P2...have others done the same or can I switch back to P2 after 3 weeks on P3?

I think it's a personal choice (when you're using the homeopathic stuff- if you are doing the rx, you def have to take the full time off). Some people do 3 weeks P3 and then go right back into P2. The most important thing from what I understand, is to make sure you do a full P3/P4 once you're done losing weight. If it was me and I was having medical issues due to the P2 foods, I would definitely take the full 6 weeks for *both* P3 and P4 to let your body heal. It might not be a good idea to go back to P2 after only 3 weeks off...Just my opinion though. I just finished my 2nd round and I only did 3 weeks of P3 in between, but now I am going to do P3 and P4 before I start my 3rd round. I didnt have any health issues with the P2 foods though or I would have done it differently. Whatever you choose, I wish you luck! You have done so great already!
