and I'm off....

again...

I did it right this time though. Loaded my brains (or belly as it were) out, and I'm not feeling hungry or craving at this point. Usually the first few days are the worst for me, personally, so feeling this great on VLCD1 for me is awesome! I feel like I have a better frame of mind this time. I dont know why..not much has changed in that respect, although I am at my highest weight EVER, not preggo. I am taking new meds for acne, so I dunno if that is affecting my hormones or not. Whatever it is I'll take it...I have more follow-thru than I have had in years!! (about 7 1/2 years to be exact!)

Oh, I understand that feeling. You feel so deprived and feel so much better for sticking to plan and for what???!!! A measly 0.2 loss. But this is where you have to dig in and realize that your body is catching up to the pounds lost. When you don't see the scale going down, your inches are so don't give up because you will be behind. Just dig in and plod along. You can do this

More water and Smooth Moves tea.. I lost huge on my first two weeks (11.5 and 6.5) then week three, I only lost 1.5. I think sometimes our bodies have to adjust to such quick losses. HTH!

This makes me a little nervous. I am only on Round 1, VLCD4 and I've lost 4.5 pounds total. I'm so excited and am a bit nervous that this is just a dream that is going to vaporize once I enter week 3 or so. Things have been going so well that I've tentatively been planning on switching to 40 days, but I wonder if our bodies need a break at 23 days to adjust? It's probably just another one of those YMMV kind of things.

When I come home from work in the evening, weary, reading these boards has been a huge encouragement to not give up, to just keep on doing what I'm doing. Thank you to each of you who share!

Hi Cheyennedawn, great progress so far. Just hang in there you will see a whoosh!! The BM will come. Dr. Simeons comment about this was your food intake is limited so you won't have the same movement you had when you were consuming more food. Are you eating 500 calories a day? If you weren't eating the fruit and melba's last week but added them this week were you eating only 2 fruit and 2 melba's each day? Were the fruits only the ones protocol listed? You are doing great with 12# in 6 days. You will have days when you remain the same or even go up tenths but just hang in and give your body a chance to "catch up" with your losses!! Good luck

Hi hcggirl50, I know what you mean. I'm still wondering if this R2 will be successful for me. I could not believe R1. Every day I expected to see no loss but when all was said and done my LDW for R1P2 was 197. By the time I finished P4 I weighed 188.6. Then I loaded again for R2 over the weekend and yesterday. Back up to 192.2!!! I have learned that I can do this (with the help of hcg) and you can too. Just stick with the protocol. I went 42 dose days on R1 and I will go 42 days this round as well if I need that amount of time to reach goal. Good Luck to you. Keep reading and posting!!

I'm plugging away today. I was pretty hungry earlier in the day, but my pellet schedule (7:30, 2:30, 9:30) keeps me less hungry at night when I usually have the most urges to cheat. I did skip my first fruit, and had 7oz of homemade tomato soup instead. We shall see what the scale says tomorrow...

Has anyone tried lasering for food sensitivities in P2? I lasered a Splenda product yesterday-- the Walden Farms products contain Splenda, and I wanted to reduce any interference they might have on weight loss. Worth a try...

Good Morning! I'm UP .6 today and it seemed like something was a little off. I've been 100% protocol, but I didn't seem to "release" as much as I usually do. Even on protocol, I have two BMs every single day - I can't imagine having a day without one.

I haven't had very many of my co-workers comment on my weight loss, so far three have and I think it's because people never know how someone else will take it. I'd say thank you, but some are easily offended and I'm not one of them. A co-worker of mine that works in another department walked up to me yesterday, commented on my weight loss and said how great I looked. She looked like her eyes were going to pop out of her head and her jaw was going to hit the floor. I told her about hcg, asked for her home e-mail address and e-mailed her P&I, gave her the short form and told her about this board. I told her how much I've lost since June 10th and on this round alone. She wants to lose about twenty pounds by the end of October and I said if she doesn't hit that, she'll come very close. I explained to her about the loading days and said this round I was down almost 12 pounds in my first week. I also told her about Netrition and said hcg is all over the place now, but I recommended the Intermountain pellets from Netrition. She said she's taking birth control pills and I said I didn't know how it would affect her. Does anyone know?

Have a great and congratulations to all of us!

I started another round on Sept 1 and went the entire 25 days. I lost 13.2 and started P3 last Friday due to my step sons 16th bday party on Saturday. Well, my intention was to eat the P3 foods at the party (buffalo chicken dip, vegs, fruits, and a gooey cake); however, it didn't really happen that way.

I ended up eating a little more than I should have and gained approx 5 - 6 lbs over the weekend (between Fri - Sun). After my interruption, I hopped back on P2 Monday morning and lost the weight I gained plus and additional 1/2 lb as of today's date. I am excited and can't wait to get out of this 130 territory. 5 more lbs to go until I enter the 120's. Hoping to get to 120 again or lower this time around. It stinks being short!!!!

Hope everyone has great loses!!

I stayed the same today so I am praying for a whoosh for tomorrow, I am only staying in P2 for another 6 days so I would like to be down at least another 3 pounds.

I could not believe my eyes this morning-- I was down another 3#s this morning (7.2#s in the first two vlcds)!! I knew that a lot of my weight fluctuations during P3 were water, but I'm rather shocked anyway. Happy shocked, but shocked nonetheless. I'll have to remember this feeling when my weight loss slows waaaaay down.

Hi friends,
Today was my first load day. I took 3 Intermountain hHCG's around 0800. I have to say that I'm not hungry at all, but I have a serious concern! I felt dizzy since taking the HCG and took my blood pressure (I'm an RN and was at the hospital). My BP was 103/63, which is lower than my normal baseline (around 120/80). I decided to come home because I was afraid I might pass out...I feel better now and have been drinking fluids and ate 2 hotdogs in order to attempt to correct the low BP.

I feel better now, but it's probably almost time for my second hHCG dose of the day. Is this common? I'm hesitant to take my second dose...

Brandi -- I'd definitely be worried if I were you! I think there's some sense that HCG lowers your blood pressure -- several of us have had to adjust or stop BP meds while on HCG (and hope it lasts, of course), and there's one story from an earlier thread about a woman in the hospital with low BP and other symptoms that *might* have been related to HCG. I don't know if there's any research out there on this -- I'm just speaking of what I've seen here on the board.

What if you lowered the dose for yourself, and see whether or not you have the same response? Maybe you're just very sensitive to that effect? We definitely don't want you passing out!

Thank you for the reply, I'm trying to decide what I should do. There is no way I can take 2 more doses today when I'm still feeling the low BP from this morning's dose . Will the protocol still work if I only take the hHCG twice a day? Maybe I can take 2 pellets twice daily instead of 3 pellets three times daily? Also I'm supposed to be loading but I'm not hungry at all and I don't really want to eat. POUT!

People definitely change around the pellet timing and amount to suit their own needs. I'd try either the amount per dose OR the number of doses -- see what happens. If you do both, your total number of pellets would go way down, and that might be too far.

It's great that you're not hungry, but trust us, the load is really important! Especially high-fat foods (as opposed to every sugary/starchy food you love) really help keep the hunger down in that first week of VLCD.

Good luck and keep checking in!
