Interruption ?'s - CDs & another question

This round is so slow that I'm considering doing an interruption. I was only planning on doing the minimum round, but I want this to be my last and it doesn't look like I'm going to lose the 10 pounds that I'd like to (I've lost 5 as of today - VLCD14).

I just don't think I can do another round, but it occurred to me that maybe I could take a break and then start-up again within that 2 week period if I think that I'm mentally up for it.

So... on an interruption you eat P3-style, right? Do you do a CD if you are above the last day you dosed (just like when ending a round)?

Also, how long should you be back on the drops and P2 after your interruption before ending the round?

TIA for your help!

I'm doing one... I did one my first round (or second.. they blend now). I'll stop my pellets 2 days prior to eating P3 than .. this is where I'm confused.. I've been told to start my pellets the same day I start back on the VLCD.. I'm confused because I thought they needed to be in our system for 48 hours?!?! Anyone want to way in here w/an explanation that would (rock)!

Yes, Debby. That is how you do it. When you take your break you end P2 as you would at the end of a round. That means you do not dose with the 48 hours (unless you are on Rx), eat P3 style for up to 14 days. You do correction days as needed because you are on P3. The only thing is when you start up P2, you do NOT load. And you start the hcg the day you start your VLCDs. You can go on VLCDs until you reach goal, or whenever you feel like stopping since you already did the minimum 21 days on plan. That is how I do my interruptions/breaks.

Thanks, Dawn! I guess I was just wondering if you need to go back on VLC for at least a week? Or could you do it for just a few days?

Also, it sounds like you do not count the 2 days VLC w/out drops as part of the 14 days. Is that right?

Yes. That is right. I am sure that a week to 10 days back on P2 would be a very, very good idea. You want to be sure that your weight will "stick" right And I never counted the 2 non-dosing days as part of the 14 days. I counted just the P3 days in with the 14 days.

Thanks, Dawn! That all makes sense. Yes, I most definitely want my weight to stick! My guess is I'll just call this a round and be done. I just don't think I'm up for any more of P2. But... at least I know what my options are in case I am up for it.

you do know you do a full 23 dosing days before taking an interruption right??
Quote:
Interruptions occurring before 20 effective injections have been given are most undesirable, because with less than that number of injections some weight is liable to be regained. After the 20th injection an unavoidable interruption is merely a loss of time.

Doesn't this quote mean you can do 20 days of hCG before the interruption?

EFFECTIVE doses the first couuple are considered "building up" and he had people skip one injecton a week as well

Ouch. Then I really did mess up! I stopped after 20 days of hCG. I tell myself that this is okay, because he was talking about deep intramuscular injections and I am taking mine sublingually, so who knows. The true irony is I was rigidly protocol and didn't stabilize at all after rounds 2 and 3. This time I ended early, did some things rogue (mixed veggies) and I'm rock stable this time. Go figure!
